打了许多棍，便将他们下在监里，嘱咐禁卒严紧看守。
dǎ le xǔ duō gùn ， biàn jiāng tā men xià zài jiān lǐ ， zhǔ fu jìn zú yán jǐn kān shǒu 。
When they had laid many stripes on them, they threw them into prison, charging the jailer to keep them safely.
