yǒu yì tiān , yē sū zài diàn lǐ jiào xùn bǎi xìng , jiǎng fú yīn de shí hòu , jì sī zhǎng hé wén shì bìng zhǎng lǎo shàng qián lái ,

On one of those days, as he was teaching the people in the temple and preaching the Good News, the priests and scribes came to him with the elders.

:「?」

wèn tā shuō :「 nǐ gào sù wǒ men , nǐ zhàng zhe shén me quán bǐng zuò zhè xiē shì ? gěi nǐ zhè quán bǐng de shì shuí ne ?」

They asked him, “Tell us: by what authority do you do these things? Or who is giving you this authority?”

:「

yē sū huí dá shuō :「 wǒ yě yào wèn nǐ men yí jù huà , nǐ men qiě gào sù wǒ 。

He answered them, “I also will ask you one question. Tell me:

?」

yuē hàn de xǐ lǐ shì cóng tiān shàng lái de ? shì cóng rén jiān lái de ne ?」

the baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men?”

:「』,:『?』

tā men bǐ cǐ shāng yì shuō :「 wǒ men ruò shuō 『 cóng tiān shàng lái 』, tā bì shuō :『 nǐ men wèi shén me bú xìn tā ne ?』

They reasoned with themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will say, ‘Why didn’t you believe him?’

』,。」

ruò shuō 『 cóng rén jiān lái 』, bǎi xìng dōu yào yòng shí tou dǎ sǐ wǒ men , yīn wèi tā men xìn yuē hàn shì xiān zhī 。」

But if we say, ‘From men,’ all the people will stone us, for they are persuaded that John was a prophet.”

:「。」

yú shì huí dá shuō :「 bù zhī dào shì cóng nǎ lǐ lái de 。」

They answered that they didn’t know where it was from.

:「。」

yē sū shuō :「 wǒ yě bú gào sù nǐ men , wǒ zhàng zhe shén me quán bǐng zuò zhè xiē shì 。」

Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”

:「

yē sū jiù shè bǐ yù duì bǎi xìng shuō :「 yǒu rén zāi le yí gè pú táo yuán , zū gěi yuán hù , jiù wǎng wài guó qù zhù le xǔ jiǔ 。

He began to tell the people this parable: “A man planted a vineyard and rented it out to some farmers, and went into another country for a long time.

dào le shí hòu , dǎ fā yí gè pú rén dào yuán hù nà lǐ qù , jiào tā men bǎ yuán zhōng dāng nà de guǒ zǐ jiāo gěi tā ; yuán hù jìng dǎ le tā , jiào tā kōng shǒu huí qù 。

At the proper season, he sent a servant to the farmers to collect his share of the fruit of the vineyard. But the farmers beat him and sent him away empty.

yòu dǎ fā yí gè pú rén qù , tā men yě dǎ le tā , bìng qiě líng rǔ tā , jiào tā kōng shǒu huí qù 。

He sent yet another servant, and they also beat him and treated him shamefully, and sent him away empty.

yòu dǎ fā dì sān gè pú rén qù , tā men yě dǎ shāng le tā , bǎ tā tuī chū qù le 。

He sent yet a third, and they also wounded him and threw him out.

:『。』

yuán zhǔ shuō :『 wǒ zěn me bàn ne ? wǒ yào dǎ fā wǒ de ài zǐ qù , huò zhě tā men zūn jìng tā 。』

The lord of the vineyard said, ‘What shall I do? I will send my beloved son. It may be that seeing him, they will respect him.’

:『使!』

bú liào , yuán hù kàn jiàn tā , jiù bǐ cǐ shāng liáng shuō :『 zhè shì chéng shòu chǎn yè de , wǒ men shā tā ba , shǐ chǎn yè guī yú wǒ men !』

“But when the farmers saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.’

yú shì bǎ tā tuī chū pú táo yuán wài , shā le 。 zhè yàng , pú táo yuán de zhǔ rén yào zěn yàng chǔ zhì tā men ne ?

Then they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do to them?

。」:「!」

tā yào lái chú miè zhè xiē yuán hù , jiāng pú táo yuán zhuǎn gěi bié rén 。」 tīng jiàn de rén shuō :「 zhè shì wàn bù kě de !」

He will come and destroy these farmers, and will give the vineyard to others.” When they heard that, they said, “May that never be!”

:「

yē sū kàn zhe tā men shuō :「 jīng shàng jì zhe : jiàng rén suǒ qì de shí tou yǐ zuò le fáng jiǎo de tóu kuài shí tou 。 zhè shì shén me yì sī ne ?

But he looked at them and said, “Then what is this that is written, ‘The stone which the builders rejected was made the chief cornerstone’?

。」

fán diào zài nà shí tou shàng de , bì yào diē suì ; nà shí tou diào zài shuí de shēn shàng , jiù yào bǎ shuí zá dé xī làn 。」

Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, but it will crush whomever it falls on to dust.”

wén shì hé jì sī zhǎng kàn chū zhè bǐ yù shì zhǐ zhe tā men shuō de , dāng shí jiù xiǎng yào xià shǒu ná tā , zhǐ shì jù pà bǎi xìng 。

The chief priests and the scribes sought to lay hands on him that very hour, but they feared the people—for they knew he had spoken this parable against them.

yú shì kuī tàn yē sū , dǎ fā jiān xì zhuāng zuò hǎo rén , yào zài tā de huà shàng dé bǎ bǐng , hǎo jiāng tā jiāo zài xún fǔ de zhèng quán zhī xià 。

They watched him and sent out spies, who pretended to be righteous, that they might trap him in something he said, so as to deliver him up to the power and authority of the governor.

:「

jiān xì jiù wèn yē sū shuō :「 fū zǐ , wǒ men xiǎo de nǐ suǒ jiǎng suǒ chuán dōu shì zhèng dào , yě bù qǔ rén de wài mào , nǎi shì chéng chéng shí shí chuán shén de dào 。

They asked him, “Teacher, we know that you say and teach what is right, and aren’t partial to anyone, but truly teach the way of God.

?」

wǒ men nà shuì gěi kǎi sā , kě yǐ bù kě yǐ ?」

Is it lawful for us to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?”

yē sū kàn chū tā men de guǐ zhà , jiù duì tā men shuō :

But he perceived their craftiness, and said to them, “Why do you test me?

?」:「。」

「 ná yí gè yín qián lái gěi wǒ kàn 。 zhè xiàng hé zhè hào shì shuí de ?」 tā men shuō :「 shì kǎi sā de 。」

Show me a denarius. Whose image and inscription are on it?” They answered, “Caesar’s.”

:「 。」

yē sū shuō :「 zhè yàng , kǎi sā de wù dāng guī gěi kǎi sā , shén de wù dāng guī gěi shén 。」

He said to them, “Then give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

tā men dāng zhe bǎi xìng , zài zhè huà shàng dé bù zhe bǎ bǐng , yòu xī qí tā de yìng duì , jiù bì kǒu wú yán le 。

They weren’t able to trap him in his words before the people. They marveled at his answer and were silent.

sā dōu gāi rén cháng shuō méi yǒu fù huó de shì 。 yǒu jǐ gè lái wèn yē sū shuō :

Some of the Sadducees came to him, those who deny that there is a resurrection.

西:『。』

「 fū zǐ ! mó xī wèi wǒ men xiě zhe shuō :『 rén ruò yǒu qī wú zǐ jiù sǐ le , tā xiōng dì dāng qǔ tā de qī , wèi gē ge shēng zǐ lì hòu 。』

They asked him, “Teacher, Moses wrote to us that if a man’s brother dies having a wife, and he is childless, his brother should take the wife and raise up children for his brother.

yǒu dì xiong qī rén , dì yī gè qǔ le qī , méi yǒu hái zi sǐ le ;

There were therefore seven brothers. The first took a wife, and died childless.

dì èr gè 、 dì sān gè yě qǔ guò tā ;

The second took her as wife, and he died childless.

nà qī gè rén dōu qǔ guò tā , méi yǒu liú xià hái zi jiù sǐ le 。

The third took her, and likewise the seven all left no children, and died.

hòu lái fù rén yě sǐ le 。

Afterward the woman also died.

。」

zhè yàng , dāng fù huó de shí hòu , tā shì nǎ yí gè de qī zǐ ne ? yīn wèi tā men qī gè rén dōu qǔ guò tā 。」

Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them will she be? For the seven had her as a wife.”

:「

yē sū shuō :「 zhè shì jiè de rén yǒu qǔ yǒu jià ;

Jesus said to them, “The children of this age marry and are given in marriage.

wéi yǒu suàn wèi pèi dé nà shì jiè , yǔ cóng sǐ lǐ fù huó de rén yě bù qǔ yě bú jià ;

But those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage.

使

yīn wèi tā men bù néng zài sǐ , hé tiān shǐ yí yàng ; jì shì fù huó de rén , jiù wèi shén de ér zi 。

For they can’t die any more, for they are like the angels and are children of God, being children of the resurrection.

西

zhì yú sǐ rén fù huó , mó xī zài jīng jí piān shàng , chēng zhǔ shì yà bó lā hǎn de shén , yǐ sā de shén , yǎ gè de shén , jiù zhǐ shì míng bái le 。

But that the dead are raised, even Moses showed at the bush, when he called the Lord ‘The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’

。」

shén yuán bú shì sǐ rén de shén , nǎi shì huó rén de shén ; yīn wèi zài tā nà lǐ , rén dōu shì huó de 。」

Now he is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for all are alive to him.”

:「。」

yǒu jǐ gè wén shì shuō :「 fū zǐ ! nǐ shuō dé hǎo 。」

Some of the scribes answered, “Teacher, you speak well.”

yǐ hòu tā men bù gǎn zài wèn tā shén me 。

They didn’t dare to ask him any more questions.

:「

yē sū duì tā men shuō :「 rén zěn me shuō jī dū shì dà wèi de zǐ sūn ne ?

He said to them, “Why do they say that the Christ is David’s son?

shī piān shàng dà wèi zì jǐ shuō : zhǔ duì wǒ zhǔ shuō : nǐ zuò zài wǒ de yòu biān ,

David himself says in the book of Psalms, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand,

使

děng wǒ shǐ nǐ chóu dí zuò nǐ de jiǎo dèng 。

until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet.”’

?」

dà wèi jì chēng tā wéi zhǔ , tā zěn me yòu shì dà wèi de zǐ sūn ne ?」

“David therefore calls him Lord, so how is he his son?”

zhòng bǎi xìng tīng de shí hòu , yē sū duì mén tú shuō :

In the hearing of all the people, he said to his disciples,

穿

「 nǐ men yào fáng bèi wén shì 。 tā men hǎo chuān cháng yī yóu xíng , xǐ ài rén zài jiē shì shàng wèn tā men ān , yòu xǐ ài huì táng lǐ de gāo wèi , yán xí shàng de shǒu zuò ;

“Beware of those scribes who like to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the marketplaces, the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts;

!」

tā men qīn tūn guǎ fù de jiā chǎn , jiǎ yì zuò hěn cháng de dǎo gào 。 zhè xiē rén yào shòu gèng zhòng de xíng fá !」

who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation.”
