基列寄居的提斯比人以利亞對亞哈說：「我指着所事奉永生耶和華－以色列的上帝起誓，這幾年我若不禱告，必不降露，不下雨。」

jī liè jì jū de tí sī bǐ rén yǐ lì yà duì yà hā shuō ：「 wǒ zhǐ zhe suǒ shì fèng yǒng shēng yē hé huá — yǐ sè liè de shén qǐ shì ， zhè jǐ nián wǒ ruò bù dǎo gào ， bì bú jiàng lù ， bú xià yǔ 。」

Elijah the Tishbite, who was one of the settlers of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the LORD, the God of Israel, lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.”

耶和華的話臨到以利亞說：

yē hé huá de huà lín dào yǐ lì yà shuō ：

Then the LORD’s word came to him, saying,

「你離開這裏往東去，藏在約旦河東邊的基立溪旁。

「 nǐ lí kāi zhè lǐ wǎng dōng qù ， cáng zài yuē dàn hé dōng biān de jī lì xī páng 。

“Go away from here, turn eastward, and hide yourself by the brook Cherith, that is before the Jordan.

你要喝那溪裏的水，我已吩咐烏鴉在那裏供養你。」

nǐ yào hē nà xī lǐ de shuǐ ， wǒ yǐ fēn fù wū yā zài nà lǐ gòng yǎng nǐ 。」

You shall drink from the brook. I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.”

於是以利亞照着耶和華的話，去住在約旦河東的基立溪旁。

yú shì yǐ lì yà zhào zhe yē hé huá de huà ， qù zhù zài yuē dàn hé dōng de jī lì xī páng 。

So he went and did according to the LORD’s word, for he went and lived by the brook Cherith that is before the Jordan.

烏鴉早晚給他叼餅和肉來，他也喝那溪裏的水。

wū yā zǎo wǎn gěi tā diāo bǐng hé ròu lái ， tā yě hē nà xī lǐ de shuǐ 。

The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening; and he drank from the brook.

過了些日子，溪水就乾了，因為雨沒有下在地上。

guò le xiē rì zi ， xī shuǐ jiù gān le ， yīn wèi yǔ méi yǒu xià zài dì shàng 。

After a while, the brook dried up, because there was no rain in the land.

耶和華的話臨到他說：

yē hé huá de huà lín dào tā shuō ：

The LORD’s word came to him, saying,

「你起身往西頓的撒勒法 去，住在那裏；我已吩咐那裏的一個寡婦供養你。」

「 nǐ qǐ shēn wǎng xī dùn de sā lè fǎ qù ， zhù zài nà lǐ ； wǒ yǐ fēn fù nà lǐ de yí gè guǎ fù gòng yǎng nǐ 。」

“Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and stay there. Behold, I have commanded a widow there to sustain you.”

以利亞就起身往撒勒法去。到了城門，見有一個寡婦在那裏撿柴，以利亞呼叫她說：「求你用器皿取點水來給我喝。」

yǐ lì yà jiù qǐ shēn wǎng sā lè fǎ qù 。 dào le chéng mén ， jiàn yǒu yí gè guǎ fù zài nà lǐ jiǎn chái ， yǐ lì yà hū jiào tā shuō ：「 qiú nǐ yòng qì mǐn qǔ diǎn shuǐ lái gěi wǒ hē 。」

So he arose and went to Zarephath; and when he came to the gate of the city, behold, a widow was there gathering sticks. He called to her and said, “Please get me a little water in a jar, that I may drink.”

她去取水的時候，以利亞又呼叫她說：「也求你拿點餅來給我！」

tā qù qǔ shuǐ de shí hòu ， yǐ lì yà yòu hū jiào tā shuō ：「 yě qiú nǐ ná diǎn bǐng lái gěi wǒ ！」

As she was going to get it, he called to her and said, “Please bring me a morsel of bread in your hand.”

她說：「我指着永生耶和華－你的上帝起誓，我沒有餅，罈內只有一把麵，瓶裏只有一點油；我現在找兩根柴，回家要為我和我兒子做餅；我們吃了，死就死吧！」

tā shuō ：「 wǒ zhǐ zhe yǒng shēng yē hé huá — nǐ de shén qǐ shì ， wǒ méi yǒu bǐng ， tán nèi zhǐ yǒu yì bǎ miàn ， píng lǐ zhǐ yǒu yì diǎn yóu ； wǒ xiàn zài zhǎo liǎng gēn chái ， huí jiā yào wèi wǒ hé wǒ ér zi zuò bǐng ； wǒ men chī le ， sǐ jiù sǐ ba ！」

She said, “As the LORD your God lives, I don’t have anything baked, but only a handful of meal in a jar and a little oil in a jar. Behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and bake it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.”

以利亞對她說：「不要懼怕！可以照你所說的去做吧！只要先為我做一個小餅拿來給我，然後為你和你的兒子做餅。

yǐ lì yà duì tā shuō ：「 bú yào jù pà ！ kě yǐ zhào nǐ suǒ shuō de qù zuò ba ！ zhī yào xiān wèi wǒ zuò yí gè xiǎo bǐng ná lái gěi wǒ ， rán hòu wèi nǐ hé nǐ de ér zi zuò bǐng 。

Elijah said to her, “Don’t be afraid. Go and do as you have said; but make me a little cake from it first, and bring it out to me, and afterward make some for you and for your son.

因為耶和華－以色列的上帝如此說：罈內的麵必不減少，瓶裏的油必不缺短，直到耶和華使雨降在地上的日子。」

yīn wèi yē hé huá — yǐ sè liè de shén rú cǐ shuō ： tán nèi de miàn bì bù jiǎn shǎo ， píng lǐ de yóu bì bù quē duǎn ， zhí dào yē hé huá shǐ yǔ jiàng zài dì shàng de rì zi 。」

For the LORD, the God of Israel, says, ‘The jar of meal will not run out, and the jar of oil will not fail, until the day that the LORD sends rain on the earth.’”

婦人就照以利亞的話去行。她和她家中的人，並以利亞，吃了許多日子。

fù rén jiù zhào yǐ lì yà de huà qù xíng 。 tā hé tā jiā zhōng de rén ， bìng yǐ lì yà ， chī le xǔ duō rì zi 。

She went and did according to the saying of Elijah; and she, he, and her household ate many days.

罈內的麵果不減少，瓶裏的油也不缺短，正如耶和華藉以利亞所說的話。

tán nèi de miàn guǒ bù jiǎn shǎo ， píng lǐ de yóu yě bù quē duǎn ， zhèng rú yē hé huá jiè yǐ lì yà suǒ shuō de huà 。

The jar of meal didn’t run out and the jar of oil didn’t fail, according to the LORD’s word, which he spoke by Elijah.

這事以後，作那家主母的婦人，她兒子病了；病得甚重，以致身無氣息。

zhè shì yǐ hòu ， zuò nà jiā zhǔ mǔ de fù rén ， tā ér zi bìng le ； bìng dé shèn zhòng ， yǐ zhì shēn wú qì xī 。

After these things, the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, became sick; and his sickness was so severe that there was no breath left in him.

婦人對以利亞說：「神人哪，我與你何干？你竟到我這裏來，使上帝想念我的罪，以致我的兒子死呢？」

fù rén duì yǐ lì yà shuō ：「 shén rén nǎ ， wǒ yǔ nǐ hé gān ？ nǐ jìng dào wǒ zhè lǐ lái ， shǐ shén xiǎng niàn wǒ de zuì ， yǐ zhì wǒ de ér zi sǐ ne ？」

She said to Elijah, “What have I to do with you, you man of God? You have come to me to bring my sin to memory, and to kill my son!”

以利亞對她說：「把你兒子交給我。」以利亞就從婦人懷中將孩子接過來，抱到他所住的樓中，放在自己的床上，

yǐ lì yà duì tā shuō ：「 bǎ nǐ ér zi jiāo gěi wǒ 。」 yǐ lì yà jiù cóng fù rén huái zhōng jiàng hái zi jiē guò lái ， bào dào tā suǒ zhù de lóu zhōng ， fàng zài zì jǐ de chuáng shàng ，

He said to her, “Give me your son.” He took him out of her bosom, and carried him up into the room where he stayed, and laid him on his own bed.

就求告耶和華說：「耶和華－我的上帝啊，我寄居在這寡婦的家裏，你就降禍與她，使她的兒子死了嗎？」

jiù qiú gào yē hé huá shuō ：「 yē hé huá — wǒ de shén a ， wǒ jì jū zài zhè guǎ fù de jiā lǐ ， nǐ jiù jiàng huò yǔ tā ， shǐ tā de ér zi sǐ le ma ？」

He cried to the LORD and said, “LORD my God, have you also brought evil on the widow with whom I am staying, by killing her son?”

以利亞三次伏在孩子的身上，求告耶和華說：「耶和華－我的上帝啊，求你使這孩子的靈魂仍入他的身體！」

yǐ lì yà sān cì fú zài hái zi de shēn shàng ， qiú gào yē hé huá shuō ：「 yē hé huá — wǒ de shén a ， qiú nǐ shǐ zhè hái zi de líng hún réng rù tā de shēn tǐ ！」

He stretched himself on the child three times, and cried to the LORD and said, “LORD my God, please let this child’s soul come into him again.”

耶和華應允以利亞的話，孩子的靈魂仍入他的身體，他就活了。

yē hé huá yīng yǔn yǐ lì yà de huà ， hái zi de líng hún réng rù tā de shēn tǐ ， tā jiù huó le 。

The LORD listened to the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.

以利亞將孩子從樓上抱下來，進屋子交給他母親，說：「看哪，你的兒子活了！」

yǐ lì yà jiāng hái zi cóng lóu shàng bào xià lái ， jìn wū zi jiāo gěi tā mǔ qīn ， shuō ：「 kàn nǎ ， nǐ de ér zi huó le ！」

Elijah took the child and brought him down out of the room into the house, and delivered him to his mother; and Elijah said, “Behold, your son lives.”

婦人對以利亞說：「現在我知道你是神人，耶和華藉你口所說的話是真的。」

fù rén duì yǐ lì yà shuō ：「 xiàn zài wǒ zhī dào nǐ shì shén rén ， yē hé huá jiè nǐ kǒu suǒ shuō de huà shì zhēn de 。」

The woman said to Elijah, “Now I know that you are a man of God, and that the LORD’s word in your mouth is truth.”
