彼得前書 1

耶穌基督的使徒彼得寫信給那分散在本都、加拉太、加帕多家、亞細亞、庇推尼寄居的，

yē sū jī dū de shǐ tú bǐ dé xiě xìn gěi nà fēn sàn zài běn dōu 、 jiā lā tài 、 jiā pà duō jiā 、 yà xì yà 、 bì tuī ní jì jū de ，

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the chosen ones who are living as foreigners in the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

就是照父上帝的先見被揀選，藉着聖靈得成聖潔，以致順服耶穌基督，又蒙他血所灑的人。願恩惠、平安多多地加給你們。

jiù shì zhào fù shén de xiān jiàn bèi jiǎn xuǎn ， jiè zhe shèng líng dé chéng shèng jié ， yǐ zhì shùn fú yē sū jī dū ， yòu méng tā xuè suǒ sǎ de rén 。 yuàn ēn huì 、 píng ān duō duō dì jiā gěi nǐ men 。

according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, that you may obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with his blood: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

願頌讚歸與我們主耶穌基督的父上帝！他曾照自己的大憐憫，藉耶穌基督從死裏復活，重生了我們，叫我們有活潑的盼望，

yuàn sòng zàn guī yǔ wǒ men zhǔ yē sū jī dū de fù shén ！ tā céng zhào zì jǐ de dà lián mǐn ， jiè yē sū jī dū cóng sǐ lǐ fù huó ， chóng shēng le wǒ men ， jiào wǒ men yǒu huó pō de pàn wàng ，

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

可以得着不能朽壞、不能玷污、不能衰殘、為你們存留在天上的基業。

kě yǐ dé zhe bù néng xiǔ huài 、 bù néng diàn wū 、 bù néng shuāi cán 、 wèi nǐ men cún liú zài tiān shàng de jī yè 。

to an incorruptible and undefiled inheritance that doesn’t fade away, reserved in Heaven for you,

你們這因信蒙上帝能力保守的人，必能得着所預備、到末世要顯現的救恩。

nǐ men zhè yīn xìn méng shén néng lì bǎo shǒu de rén ， bì néng dé zhe suǒ yù bèi 、 dào mò shì yào xiǎn xiàn de jiù ēn 。

who by the power of God are guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

因此，你們是大有喜樂；但如今，在百般的試煉中暫時憂愁，

yīn cǐ ， nǐ men shì dà yǒu xǐ lè ； dàn rú jīn ， zài bǎi bān de shì liàn zhōng zàn shí yōu chóu ，

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved in various trials,

叫你們的信心既被試驗，就比那被火試驗仍然能壞的金子更顯寶貴，可以在耶穌基督顯現的時候得着稱讚、榮耀、尊貴。

jiào nǐ men de xìn xīn jì bèi shì yàn ， jiù bǐ nà bèi huǒ shì yàn réng rán néng huài de jīn zǐ gèng xiǎn bǎo guì ， kě yǐ zài yē sū jī dū xiǎn xiàn de shí hòu dé zhe chēng zàn 、 róng yào 、 zūn guì 。

that the proof of your faith, which is more precious than gold that perishes, even though it is tested by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ—

你們雖然沒有見過他，卻是愛他；如今雖不得看見，卻因信他就有說不出來、滿有榮光的大喜樂；

nǐ men suī rán méi yǒu jiàn guò tā ， què shì ài tā ； rú jīn suī bù dé kàn jiàn ， què yīn xìn tā jiù yǒu shuō bù chū lái 、 mǎn yǒu róng guāng de dà xǐ lè ；

whom, not having known, you love. In him, though now you don’t see him, yet believing, you rejoice greatly with joy that is unspeakable and full of glory,

並且得着你們信心的果效，就是靈魂的救恩。

bìng qiě dé zhe nǐ men xìn xīn de guǒ xiào ， jiù shì líng hún de jiù ēn 。

receiving the result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

論到這救恩，那預先說你們要得恩典的眾先知早已詳細地尋求考察，

lùn dào zhè jiù ēn ， nà yù xiān shuō nǐ men yào dé ēn diǎn de zhòng xiān zhī zǎo yǐ xiáng xì dì xún qiú kǎo chá ，

Concerning this salvation, the prophets sought and searched diligently. They prophesied of the grace that would come to you,

就是考察在他們心裏基督的靈，預先證明基督受苦難，後來得榮耀，是指着甚麼時候，並怎樣的時候。

jiù shì kǎo chá zài tā men xīn lǐ jī dū de líng ， yù xiān zhèng míng jī dū shòu kǔ nàn ， hòu lái de róng yào ， shì zhǐ zhe shén me shí hòu ， bìng zěn yàng de shí hòu 。

searching for who or what kind of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them pointed to when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow them.

他們得了啟示，知道他們所傳講 的一切事，不是為自己，乃是為你們。那靠着從天上差來的聖靈傳福音給你們的人，現在將這些事報給你們；天使也願意詳細察看這些事。

tā men dé le qǐ shì ， zhī dào tā men suǒ chuán jiǎng de yí qiè shì ， bú shì wèi zì jǐ ， nǎi shì wèi nǐ men 。 nà kào zhe cóng tiān shàng chà lái de shèng líng chuán fú yīn gěi nǐ men de rén ， xiàn zài jiāng zhè xiē shì bào gěi nǐ men ； tiān shǐ yě yuàn yì xiáng xì chá kàn zhè xiē shì 。

To them it was revealed that they served not themselves, but you, in these things, which now have been announced to you through those who preached the Good News to you by the Holy Spirit sent out from heaven; which things angels desire to look into.

所以要約束你們的心 ，謹慎自守，專心盼望耶穌基督顯現的時候所帶來給你們的恩。

suǒ yǐ yào yuē shù nǐ men de xīn ， jǐn shèn zì shǒu ， zhuān xīn pàn wàng yē sū jī dū xiǎn xiàn de shí hòu suǒ dài lái gěi nǐ men de ēn 。

Therefore prepare your minds for action. Be sober, and set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ—

你們既作順命的兒女，就不要效法從前蒙昧無知的時候那放縱私慾的樣子。

nǐ men jì zuò shùn mìng de ér nǚ ， jiù bú yào xiào fǎ cóng qián méng mèi wú zhī de shí hòu nà fàng zòng sī yù de yàng zi 。

as children of obedience, not conforming yourselves according to your former lusts as in your ignorance,

那召你們的既是聖潔，你們在一切所行的事上也要聖潔。

nà zhào nǐ men de jì shì shèng jié ， nǐ men zài yí qiè suǒ xíng de shì shàng yě yào shèng jié 。

but just as he who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all of your behavior,

因為經上記着說：「你們要聖潔，因為我是聖潔的。」

yīn wèi jīng shàng jì zhe shuō ：「 nǐ men yào shèng jié ， yīn wèi wǒ shì shèng jié de 。」

because it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

你們既稱那不偏待人、按各人行為審判人的主為父，就當存敬畏的心度你們在世寄居的日子，

nǐ men jì chēng nà bù piān dài rén 、 àn gè rén xíng wéi shěn pàn rén de zhǔ wèi fù ， jiù dāng cún jìng wèi de xīn dù nǐ men zài shì jì jū de rì zi ，

If you call on him as Father, who without respect of persons judges according to each man’s work, pass the time of your living as foreigners here in reverent fear,

知道你們得贖，脫去你們祖宗所傳流虛妄的行為，不是憑着能壞的金銀等物，

zhī dào nǐ men dé shú ， tuō qù nǐ men zǔ zōng suǒ chuán liú xū wàng de xíng wéi ， bú shì píng zhe néng huài de jīn yín děng wù ，

knowing that you were redeemed, not with corruptible things like silver or gold, from the useless way of life handed down from your fathers,

乃是憑着基督的寶血，如同無瑕疵、無玷污的羔羊之血。

nǎi shì píng zhe jī dū de bǎo xuè ， rú tóng wú xiá cī 、 wú diàn wū de gāo yáng zhī xuè 。

but with precious blood, as of a lamb without blemish or spot, the blood of Christ,

基督在創世以前是預先被上帝知道的，卻在這末世才為你們顯現。

jī dū zài chuàng shì yǐ qián shì yù xiān bèi shén zhī dào de ， què zài zhè mò shì cái wèi nǐ men xiǎn xiàn 。

who was foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but was revealed in this last age for your sake,

你們也因着他，信那叫他從死裏復活、又給他榮耀的上帝，叫你們的信心和盼望都在於上帝。

nǐ men yě yīn zhe tā ， xìn nà jiào tā cóng sǐ lǐ fù huó 、 yòu gěi tā róng yào de shén ， jiào nǐ men de xìn xīn hé pàn wàng dōu zài yú shén 。

who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope might be in God.

你們既因順從真理，潔淨了自己的心，以致愛弟兄沒有虛假，就當從心裏 彼此切實相愛。

nǐ men jì yīn shùn cóng zhēn lǐ ， jié jìng le zì jǐ de xīn ， yǐ zhì ài dì xiong méi yǒu xū jiǎ ， jiù dāng cóng xīn lǐ bǐ cǐ qiè shí xiāng ài 。

Seeing you have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth through the Spirit in sincere brotherly affection, love one another from the heart fervently,

你們蒙了重生，不是由於能壞的種子，乃是由於不能壞的種子，是藉着上帝活潑常存的道。

nǐ men méng le chóng shēng ， bú shì yóu yú néng huài de zhǒng zǐ ， nǎi shì yóu yú bù néng huài de zhǒng zi ， shì jiè zhe shén huó pō cháng cún de dào 。

having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which lives and remains forever.

因為 凡有血氣的，盡都如草； 他的美榮都像草上的花。 草必枯乾，花必凋謝；

yīn wèi fán yǒu xuè qì de ， jìn dōu rú cǎo ； tā de měi róng dōu xiàng cǎo shàng de huā 。 cǎo bì kū gān ， huā bì diāo xiè ；

For, “All flesh is like grass, and all of man’s glory like the flower in the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls;

惟有主的道是永存的。 所傳給你們的福音就是這道。

wéi yǒu zhǔ de dào shì yǒng cún de 。 suǒ chuán gěi nǐ men de fú yīn jiù shì zhè dào 。

but the Lord’s word endures forever.” This is the word of Good News which was preached to you.
