有一日，掃羅的兒子約拿單對拿他兵器的少年人說：「我們不如過到那邊，到非利士人的防營那裏去。」但他沒有告訴父親。

yǒu yí rì ， sǎo luó de ér zi yuē ná dān duì ná tā bīng qì de shào nián rén shuō ：「 wǒ men bù rú guò dào nà biān ， dào fēi lì shì rén de fáng yíng nà lǐ qù 。」 dàn tā méi yǒu gào sù fù qīn 。

Now it happened on a day that Jonathan the son of Saul said to the young man who bore his armor, “Come! Let’s go over to the Philistines’ garrison that is on the other side.” But he didn’t tell his father.

掃羅在基比亞的儘邊，坐在米磯崙的石榴樹下，跟隨他的約有六百人。

sǎo luó zài jī bǐ yà de jìn biān ， zuò zài mǐ jī de shí liú shù xià ， gēn suí tā de yuē yǒu liù bǎi rén 。

Saul stayed in the uttermost part of Gibeah under the pomegranate tree which is in Migron; and the people who were with him were about six hundred men,

在那裏有亞希突的兒子亞希亞，穿着以弗得。（亞希突是以迦博的哥哥，非尼哈的兒子，以利的孫子。以利從前在示羅作耶和華的祭司。）約拿單去了，百姓卻不知道。

zài nà lǐ yǒu yà xī tū de ér zi yà xī yà ， chuān zhe yǐ fú dé 。（ yà xī tū shì yǐ jiā bó de gē ge ， fēi ní hā de ér zi ， yǐ lì de sūn zi 。 yǐ lì cóng qián zài shì luó zuò yē hé huá de jì sī 。） yuē ná dān qù le ， bǎi xìng què bù zhī dào 。

including Ahijah the son of Ahitub, Ichabod’s brother, the son of Phinehas, the son of Eli the priest of the LORD in Shiloh, wearing an ephod. The people didn’t know that Jonathan was gone.

約拿單要從隘口過到非利士防營那裏去。這隘口兩邊各有一個山峰：一名播薛，一名西尼；

yuē ná dān yào cóng ài kǒu guò dào fēi lì shì fáng yíng nà lǐ qù 。 zhè ài kǒu liǎng biān gè yǒu yí gè shān fēng ： yì míng bō xuē ， yì míng xī ní ；

Between the passes, by which Jonathan sought to go over to the Philistines’ garrison, there was a rocky crag on the one side and a rocky crag on the other side; and the name of the one was Bozez, and the name of the other Seneh.

一峰向北，與密抹相對，一峰向南，與迦巴相對。

yì fēng xiàng běi ， yǔ mì mǒ xiāng duì ， yì fēng xiàng nán ， yǔ jiā bā xiāng duì 。

The one crag rose up on the north in front of Michmash, and the other on the south in front of Geba.

約拿單對拿兵器的少年人說：「我們不如過到未受割禮人的防營那裏去，或者耶和華為我們施展能力；因為耶和華使人得勝，不在乎人多人少。」

yuē ná dān duì ná bīng qì de shào nián rén shuō ：「 wǒ men bù rú guò dào wèi shòu gē lǐ rén de fáng yíng nà lǐ qù ， huò zhě yē hé huá wèi wǒ men shī zhǎn néng lì ； yīn wèi yē hé huá shǐ rén dé shèng ， bú zài hu rén duō rén shǎo 。」

Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armor, “Come! Let’s go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised. It may be that the LORD will work for us, for there is no restraint on the LORD to save by many or by few.”

拿兵器的對他說：「隨你的心意行吧。你可以上去，我必跟隨你，與你同心。」

ná bīng qì de duì tā shuō ：「 suí nǐ de xīn yì xíng ba 。 nǐ kě yǐ shàng qù ， wǒ bì gēn suí nǐ ， yǔ nǐ tóng xīn 。」

His armor bearer said to him, “Do all that is in your heart. Go, and behold, I am with you according to your heart.”

約拿單說：「我們要過到那些人那裏去，使他們看見我們。

yuē ná dān shuō ：「 wǒ men yào guò dào nà xiē rén nà lǐ qù ， shǐ tā men kàn jiàn wǒ men 。

Then Jonathan said, “Behold, we will pass over to the men, and we will reveal ourselves to them.

他們若對我們說：『你們站住，等我們到你們那裏去』，我們就站住，不上他們那裏去。

tā men ruò duì wǒ men shuō ：『 nǐ men zhàn zhù ， děng wǒ men dào nǐ men nà lǐ qù 』， wǒ men jiù zhàn zhù ， bú shàng tā men nà lǐ qù 。

If they say this to us, ‘Wait until we come to you!’ then we will stand still in our place and will not go up to them.

他們若說：『你們上到我們這裏來』，這話就是我們的證據；我們便上去，因為耶和華將他們交在我們手裏了。」

tā men ruò shuō ：『 nǐ men shàng dào wǒ men zhè lǐ lái 』， zhè huà jiù shì wǒ men de zhèng jù ； wǒ men biàn shàng qù ， yīn wèi yē hé huá jiāng tā men jiāo zài wǒ men shǒu lǐ le 。」

But if they say this, ‘Come up to us!’ then we will go up, for the LORD has delivered them into our hand. This shall be the sign to us.”

二人就使非利士的防兵看見。非利士人說：「希伯來人從所藏的洞穴裏出來了！」

èr rén jiù shǐ fēi lì shì de fáng bīng kàn jiàn 。 fēi lì shì rén shuō ：「 xī bó lái rén cóng suǒ cáng de dòng xué lǐ chū lái le ！」

Both of them revealed themselves to the garrison of the Philistines; and the Philistines said, “Behold, the Hebrews are coming out of the holes where they had hidden themselves!”

防兵對約拿單和拿兵器的人說：「你們上到這裏來，我們有一件事指示你們。」約拿單就對拿兵器的人說：「你跟隨我上去，因為耶和華將他們交在以色列人手裏了。」

fáng bīng duì yuē ná dān hé ná bīng qì de rén shuō ：「 nǐ men shàng dào zhè lǐ lái ， wǒ men yǒu yí jiàn shì zhǐ shì nǐ men 。」 yuē ná dān jiù duì ná bīng qì de rén shuō ：「 nǐ gēn suí wǒ shàng qù ， yīn wèi yē hé huá jiāng tā men jiāo zài yǐ sè liè rén shǒu lǐ le 。」

The men of the garrison answered Jonathan and his armor bearer, and said, “Come up to us, and we will show you something!” Jonathan said to his armor bearer, “Come up after me, for the LORD has delivered them into the hand of Israel.”

約拿單就爬上去，拿兵器的人跟隨他。約拿單殺倒非利士人，拿兵器的人也隨着殺他們。

yuē ná dān jiù pá shàng qù ， ná bīng qì de rén gēn suí tā 。 yuē ná dān shā dǎo fēi lì shì rén ， ná bīng qì de rén yě suí zhe shā tā men 。

Jonathan climbed up on his hands and on his feet, and his armor bearer after him, and they fell before Jonathan; and his armor bearer killed them after him.

約拿單和拿兵器的人起頭所殺的約有二十人，都在一畝地的半犂溝之內。

yuē ná dān hé ná bīng qì de rén qǐ tóu suǒ shā de yuē yǒu èr shí rén ， dōu zài yì mǔ dì de bàn lí gōu zhī nèi 。

That first slaughter, which Jonathan and his armor bearer made, was about twenty men, within as it were half a furrow’s length in an acre of land.

於是在營中、在田野、在眾民內都有戰兢，防兵和掠兵也都戰兢，地也震動，戰兢之勢甚大。

yú shì zài yíng zhōng 、 zài tián yě 、 zài zhòng mín nèi dōu yǒu zhàn jīng ， fáng bīng hé lüè bīng yě dōu zhàn jīng ， dì yě zhèn dòng ， zhàn jīng zhī shì shèn dà 。

There was a trembling in the camp, in the field, and among all the people; the garrison and the raiders also trembled; and the earth quaked, so there was an exceedingly great trembling.

在便雅憫的基比亞，掃羅的守望兵看見非利士的軍眾潰散，四圍亂竄。

zài biàn yǎ mǐn de jī bǐ yà ， sǎo luó de shǒu wàng bīng kàn jiàn fēi lì shì de jūn zhòng kuì sàn ， sì wéi luàn cuàn 。

The watchmen of Saul in Gibeah of Benjamin looked; and behold, the multitude melted away and scattered.

掃羅就對跟隨他的民說：「你們查點查點，看從我們這裏出去的是誰？」他們一查點，就知道約拿單和拿兵器的人沒有在這裏。

sǎo luó jiù duì gēn suí tā de mín shuō ：「 nǐ men chá diǎn chá diǎn ， kàn cóng wǒ men zhè lǐ chū qù de shì shuí ？」 tā men yì chá diǎn ， jiù zhī dào yuē ná dān hé ná bīng qì de rén méi yǒu zài zhè lǐ 。

Then Saul said to the people who were with him, “Count now, and see who is missing from us.” When they had counted, behold, Jonathan and his armor bearer were not there.

那時上帝的約櫃在以色列人那裏。掃羅對亞希亞說：「你將上帝的約櫃運了來。」

nà shí shén de yuē guì zài yǐ sè liè rén nà lǐ 。 sǎo luó duì yà xī yà shuō ：「 nǐ jiāng shén de yuē guì yùn le lái 。」

Saul said to Ahijah, “Bring God’s ark here.” For God’s ark was with the children of Israel at that time.

掃羅正與祭司說話的時候，非利士營中的喧嚷越發大了；掃羅就對祭司說：「停手吧！」

sǎo luó zhèng yǔ jì sī shuō huà de shí hòu ， fēi lì shì yíng zhōng de xuān rǎng yuè fā dà le ； sǎo luó jiù duì jì sī shuō ：「 tíng shǒu ba ！」

While Saul talked to the priest, the tumult that was in the camp of the Philistines went on and increased; and Saul said to the priest, “Withdraw your hand!”

掃羅和跟隨他的人都聚集，來到戰場，看見非利士人用刀互相擊殺，大大惶亂。

sǎo luó hé gēn suí tā de rén dōu jù jí ， lái dào zhàn chǎng ， kàn jiàn fēi lì shì rén yòng dāo hù xiāng jī shā ， dà dà huáng luàn 。

Saul and all the people who were with him were gathered together, and came to the battle; and behold, they were all striking each other with their swords in very great confusion.

從前由四方來跟隨非利士軍的希伯來人現在也轉過來，幫助跟隨掃羅和約拿單的以色列人了。

cóng qián yóu sì fāng lái gēn suí fēi lì shì jūn de xī bó lái rén xiàn zài yě zhuǎn guò lái ， bāng zhù gēn suí sǎo luó hé yuē ná dān de yǐ sè liè rén le 。

Now the Hebrews who were with the Philistines before and who went up with them into the camp from all around, even they also turned to be with the Israelites who were with Saul and Jonathan.

那藏在以法蓮山地的以色列人聽說非利士人逃跑，就出來緊緊地追殺他們。

nà cáng zài yǐ fǎ lián shān dì de yǐ sè liè rén tīng shuō fēi lì shì rén táo pǎo ， jiù chū lái jǐn jǐn dì zhuī shā tā men 。

Likewise all the men of Israel who had hidden themselves in the hill country of Ephraim, when they heard that the Philistines fled, even they also followed hard after them in the battle.

那日，耶和華使以色列人得勝，一直戰到伯‧亞文。

nà rì ， yē hé huá shǐ yǐ sè liè rén dé shèng ， yì zhí zhàn dào bó · yà wén 。

So the LORD saved Israel that day; and the battle passed over by Beth Aven.

掃羅叫百姓起誓說，凡不等到晚上向敵人報完了仇吃甚麼的，必受咒詛。因此這日百姓沒有吃甚麼，就極其困憊。

sǎo luó jiào bǎi xìng qǐ shì shuō ， fán bù děng dào wǎn shàng xiàng dí rén bào wán le chóu chī shén me de ， bì shòu zhòu zǔ 。 yīn cǐ zhè rì bǎi xìng méi yǒu chī shén me ， jiù jí qí kùn bèi 。

The men of Israel were distressed that day; for Saul had adjured the people, saying, “Cursed is the man who eats any food until it is evening, and I am avenged of my enemies.” So none of the people tasted food.

眾民進入樹林，見有蜜在地上。

zhòng mín jìn rù shù lín ， jiàn yǒu mì zài dì shàng 。

All the people came into the forest; and there was honey on the ground.

他們進了樹林，見有蜜流下來，卻沒有人敢用手取蜜入口，因為他們怕那誓言。

tā men jìn le shù lín ， jiàn yǒu mì liú xià lái ， què méi yǒu rén gǎn yòng shǒu qǔ mì rù kǒu ， yīn wèi tā men pà nà shì yán 。

When the people had come to the forest, behold, honey was dripping, but no one put his hand to his mouth, for the people feared the oath.

約拿單沒有聽見他父親叫百姓起誓，所以伸手中的杖，用杖頭蘸在蜂房裏，轉手送入口內，眼睛就明亮了。

yuē ná dān méi yǒu tīng jiàn tā fù qīn jiào bǎi xìng qǐ shì ， suǒ yǐ shēn shǒu zhōng de zhàng ， yòng zhàng tóu zhàn zài fēng fáng lǐ ， zhuǎn shǒu sòng rù kǒu nèi ， yǎn jīng jiù míng liàng le 。

But Jonathan didn’t hear when his father commanded the people with the oath. Therefore he put out the end of the rod that was in his hand and dipped it in the honeycomb, and put his hand to his mouth; and his eyes brightened.

百姓中有一人對他說：「你父親曾叫百姓嚴嚴地起誓說，今日吃甚麼的，必受咒詛；因此百姓就疲乏了。」

bǎi xìng zhōng yǒu yì rén duì tā shuō ：「 nǐ fù qīn céng jiào bǎi xìng yán yán dì qǐ shì shuō ， jīn rì chī shén me de ， bì shòu zhòu zǔ ； yīn cǐ bǎi xìng jiù pí fá le 。」

Then one of the people answered, and said, “Your father directly commanded the people with an oath, saying, ‘Cursed is the man who eats food today.’” So the people were faint.

約拿單說：「我父親連累你們了。你看，我嘗了這一點蜜，眼睛就明亮了。

yuē ná dān shuō ：「 wǒ fù qīn lián lèi nǐ men le 。 nǐ kàn ， wǒ cháng le zhè yì diǎn mì ， yǎn jīng jiù míng liàng le 。

Then Jonathan said, “My father has troubled the land. Please look how my eyes have brightened because I tasted a little of this honey.

今日百姓若任意吃了從仇敵所奪的物，擊殺的非利士人豈不更多嗎？」

jīn rì bǎi xìng ruò rèn yì chī le cóng chóu dí suǒ duó de wù ， jī shā de fēi lì shì rén qǐ bú gèng duō ma ？」

How much more, if perhaps the people had eaten freely today of the plunder of their enemies which they found? For now there has been no great slaughter among the Philistines.”

這日，以色列人擊殺非利士人，從密抹直到亞雅崙。百姓甚是疲乏，

zhè rì ， yǐ sè liè rén jī shā fēi lì shì rén ， cóng mì mǒ zhí dào yà yǎ 。 bǎi xìng shèn shì pí fá ，

They struck the Philistines that day from Michmash to Aijalon. The people were very faint;

就急忙將所奪的牛羊和牛犢宰於地上，肉還帶血就吃了。

jiù jí máng jiāng suǒ duó de niú yáng hé niú dú zǎi yú dì shàng ， ròu hái dài xuè jiù chī le 。

and the people pounced on the plunder, and took sheep, cattle, and calves, and killed them on the ground; and the people ate them with the blood.

有人告訴掃羅說：「百姓吃帶血的肉，得罪耶和華了。」掃羅說：「你們有罪了，今日要將大石頭滾到我這裏來。」

yǒu rén gào sù sǎo luó shuō ：「 bǎi xìng chī dài xuè de ròu ， dé zuì yē hé huá le 。」 sǎo luó shuō ：「 nǐ men yǒu zuì le ， jīn rì yào jiāng dà shí tou gǔn dào wǒ zhè lǐ lái 。」

Then they told Saul, saying, “Behold, the people are sinning against the LORD, in that they eat meat with the blood.” He said, “You have dealt treacherously. Roll a large stone to me today!”

掃羅又說：「你們散在百姓中，對他們說，你們各人將牛羊牽到我這裏來宰了吃，不可吃帶血的肉得罪耶和華。」這夜，百姓就把牛羊牽到那裏宰了。

sǎo luó yòu shuō ：「 nǐ men sàn zài bǎi xìng zhōng ， duì tā men shuō ， nǐ men gè rén jiāng niú yáng qiān dào wǒ zhè lǐ lái zǎi le chī ， bù kě chī dài xuè de ròu dé zuì yē hé huá 。」 zhè yè ， bǎi xìng jiù bǎ niú yáng qiān dào nà lǐ zǎi le 。

Saul said, “Disperse yourselves among the people, and tell them, ‘Every man bring me here his ox, and every man his sheep, and kill them here, and eat; and don’t sin against the LORD in eating meat with the blood.’” All the people brought every man his ox with him that night, and killed them there.

掃羅為耶和華築了一座壇，這是他初次為耶和華築的壇。

sǎo luó wèi yē hé huá zhù le yí zuò tán ， zhè shì tā chū cì wèi yē hé huá zhù de tán 。

Saul built an altar to the LORD. This was the first altar that he built to the LORD.

掃羅說：「我們不如夜裏下去追趕非利士人，搶掠他們，直到天亮，不留他們一人。」眾民說：「你看怎樣好就去行吧！」祭司說：「我們先當親近上帝。」

sǎo luó shuō ：「 wǒ men bù rú yè lǐ xià qù zhuī gǎn fēi lì shì rén ， qiǎng lüè tā men ， zhí dào tiān liàng ， bù liú tā men yì rén 。」 zhòng mín shuō ：「 nǐ kàn zěn yàng hǎo jiù qù xíng ba ！」 jì sī shuō ：「 wǒ men xiān dāng qīn jìn shén 。」

Saul said, “Let’s go down after the Philistines by night, and take plunder among them until the morning light. Let’s not leave a man of them.” They said, “Do whatever seems good to you.” Then the priest said, “Let’s draw near here to God.”

掃羅求問上帝說：「我下去追趕非利士人可以不可以？你將他們交在以色列人手裏不交？」這日上帝沒有回答他。

sǎo luó qiú wèn shén shuō ：「 wǒ xià qù zhuī gǎn fēi lì shì rén kě yǐ bù kě yǐ ？ nǐ jiāng tā men jiāo zài yǐ sè liè rén shǒu lǐ bù jiāo ？」 zhè rì shén méi yǒu huí dá tā 。

Saul asked counsel of God: “Shall I go down after the Philistines? Will you deliver them into the hand of Israel?” But he didn’t answer him that day.

掃羅說：「你們百姓中的長老都上這裏來，查明今日是誰犯了罪。

sǎo luó shuō ：「 nǐ men bǎi xìng zhōng de zhǎng lǎo dōu shàng zhè lǐ lái ， chá míng jīn rì shì shuí fàn le zuì 。

Saul said, “Draw near here, all you chiefs of the people, and know and see in whom this sin has been today.

我指着救以色列－永生的耶和華起誓，就是我兒子約拿單犯了罪，他也必死。」但百姓中無一人回答他。

wǒ zhǐ zhe jiù yǐ sè liè — yǒng shēng de yē hé huá qǐ shì ， jiù shì wǒ ér zǐ yuē ná dān fàn le zuì ， tā yě bì sǐ 。」 dàn bǎi xìng zhōng wú yì rén huí dá tā 。

For as the LORD lives, who saves Israel, though it is in Jonathan my son, he shall surely die.” But there was not a man among all the people who answered him.

掃羅就對以色列眾人說：「你們站在一邊，我與我兒子約拿單也站在一邊。」百姓對掃羅說：「你看怎樣好就去行吧！」

sǎo luó jiù duì yǐ sè liè zhòng rén shuō ：「 nǐ men zhàn zài yì biān ， wǒ yǔ wǒ ér zi yuē ná dān yě zhàn zài yì biān 。」 bǎi xìng duì sǎo luó shuō ：「 nǐ kàn zěn yàng hǎo jiù qù xíng ba ！」

Then he said to all Israel, “You be on one side, and I and Jonathan my son will be on the other side.” The people said to Saul, “Do what seems good to you.”

掃羅禱告耶和華－以色列的上帝說：「求你指示實情。」於是掣籤掣出掃羅和約拿單來；百姓盡都無事。

sǎo luó dǎo gào yē hé huá — yǐ sè liè de shén shuō ：「 qiú nǐ zhǐ shì shí qíng 。」 yú shì chè qiān chè chū sǎo luó hé yuē ná dān lái ； bǎi xìng jìn dōu wú shì 。

Therefore Saul said to the LORD, the God of Israel, “Show the right.” Jonathan and Saul were chosen, but the people escaped.

掃羅說：「你們再掣籤，看是我，是我兒子約拿單」，就掣出約拿單來。

sǎo luó shuō ：「 nǐ men zài chè qiān ， kàn shì wǒ ， shì wǒ ér zi yuē ná dān 」， jiù chè chū yuē ná dān lái 。

Saul said, “Cast lots between me and Jonathan my son.” Jonathan was selected.

掃羅對約拿單說：「你告訴我，你做了甚麼事？」約拿單說：「我實在以手裏的杖，用杖頭蘸了一點蜜嘗了一嘗。這樣我就死嗎 ？」

sǎo luó duì yuē ná dān shuō ：「 nǐ gào sù wǒ ， nǐ zuò le shén me shì ？」 yuē ná dān shuō ：「 wǒ shí zài yǐ shǒu lǐ de zhàng ， yòng zhàng tóu zhàn le yì diǎn mì cháng le yì cháng 。 zhè yàng wǒ jiù sǐ ma ？」

Then Saul said to Jonathan, “Tell me what you have done!” Jonathan told him, and said, “I certainly did taste a little honey with the end of the rod that was in my hand; and behold, I must die.”

掃羅說：「約拿單哪，你定要死！若不然，願上帝重重地降罰與我。」

sǎo luó shuō ：「 yuē ná dān nǎ ， nǐ dìng yào sǐ ！ ruò bù rán ， yuàn shén chóng chóng dì jiàng fá yǔ wǒ 。」

Saul said, “God do so and more also; for you shall surely die, Jonathan.”

百姓對掃羅說：「約拿單在以色列人中這樣大行拯救，豈可使他死呢？斷乎不可！我們指着永生的耶和華起誓，連他的一根頭髮也不可落地，因為他今日與上帝一同做事。」於是百姓救約拿單免了死亡。

bǎi xìng duì sǎo luó shuō ：「 yuē ná dān zài yǐ sè liè rén zhōng zhè yàng dà xíng zhěng jiù ， qǐ kě shǐ tā sǐ ne ？ duàn hū bù kě ！ wǒ men zhǐ zhe yǒng shēng de yē hé huá qǐ shì ， lián tā de yì gēn tóu fa yě bù kě luò dì ， yīn wèi tā jīn rì yǔ shén yì tóng zuò shì 。」 yú shì bǎi xìng jiù yuē ná dān miǎn le sǐ wáng 。

The people said to Saul, “Shall Jonathan die, who has worked this great salvation in Israel? Far from it! As the LORD lives, there shall not one hair of his head fall to the ground, for he has worked with God today!” So the people rescued Jonathan, so he didn’t die.

掃羅回去，不追趕非利士人；非利士人也回本地去了。

sǎo luó huí qù ， bù zhuī gǎn fēi lì shì rén ； fēi lì shì rén yě huí běn dì qù le 。

Then Saul went up from following the Philistines; and the Philistines went to their own place.

掃羅執掌以色列的國權，常常攻擊他四圍的一切仇敵，就是摩押人、亞捫人、以東人，和瑣巴諸王，並非利士人。他無論往何處去，都打敗仇敵。

sǎo luó zhí zhǎng yǐ sè liè de guó quán ， cháng cháng gōng jī tā sì wéi de yí qiè chóu dí ， jiù shì mó yā rén 、 yà mén rén 、 yǐ dōng rén ， hé suǒ bā zhū wáng ， bìng fēi lì shì rén 。 tā wú lùn wǎng hé chù qù ， dōu dǎ bài chóu dí 。

Now when Saul had taken the kingdom over Israel, he fought against all his enemies on every side: against Moab, and against the children of Ammon, and against Edom, and against the kings of Zobah, and against the Philistines. Wherever he turned himself, he defeated them.

掃羅奮勇攻擊亞瑪力人，救了以色列人脫離搶掠他們之人的手。

sǎo luó fèn yǒng gōng jī yà mǎ lì rén ， jiù le yǐ sè liè rén tuō lí qiǎng lüè tā men zhī rén de shǒu 。
