大衛到了挪伯祭司亞希米勒那裏，亞希米勒戰戰兢兢地出來迎接他，問他說：「你為甚麼獨自來，沒有人跟隨呢？」

dà wèi dào le nuó bó jì sī yà xī mǐ lè nà lǐ ， yà xī mǐ lè zhàn zhàn jīng jīng dì chū lái yíng jiē tā ， wèn tā shuō ：「 nǐ wèi shén me dú zì lái ， méi yǒu rén gēn suí ne ？」

Then David came to Nob to Ahimelech the priest. Ahimelech came to meet David trembling, and said to him, “Why are you alone, and no man with you?”

大衛回答祭司亞希米勒說：「王吩咐我一件事說：『我差遣你委託你的這件事，不要使人知道。』故此我已派定少年人在某處等候我。

dà wèi huí dá jì sī yà xī mǐ lè shuō ：「 wáng fēn fù wǒ yí jiàn shì shuō ：『 wǒ chāi qiǎn nǐ wěi tuō nǐ de zhè jiàn shì ， bú yào shǐ rén zhī dào 。』 gù cǐ wǒ yǐ pài dìng shào nián rén zài mǒu chù děng hòu wǒ 。

David said to Ahimelech the priest, “The king has commanded me to do something, and has said to me, ‘Let no one know anything about the business about which I send you, and what I have commanded you. I have sent the young men to a certain place.’

現在你手下有甚麼？求你給我五個餅或是別樣的食物。」

xiàn zài nǐ shǒu xià yǒu shén me ？ qiú nǐ gěi wǒ wǔ gè bǐng huò shì bié yàng de shí wù 。」

Now therefore what is under your hand? Please give me five loaves of bread in my hand, or whatever is available.”

祭司對大衛說：「我手下沒有尋常的餅，只有聖餅；若少年人沒有親近婦人才可以給。」

jì sī duì dà wèi shuō ：「 wǒ shǒu xià méi yǒu xún cháng de bǐng ， zhǐ yǒu shèng bǐng ； ruò shào nián rén méi yǒu qīn jìn fù rén cái kě yǐ gěi 。」

The priest answered David, and said, “I have no common bread, but there is holy bread; if only the young men have kept themselves from women.”

大衛對祭司說：「實在約有三日我們沒有親近婦人；我出來的時候，雖是尋常行路，少年人的器皿還是潔淨的；何況今日不更是潔淨嗎？」

dà wèi duì jì sī shuō ：「 shí zài yuē yǒu sān rì wǒ men méi yǒu qīn jìn fù rén ； wǒ chū lái de shí hòu ， suī shì xún cháng xíng lù ， shào nián rén de qì mǐn hái shì jié jìng de ； hé kuàng jīn rì bú gèng shì jié jìng ma ？」

David answered the priest, and said to him, “Truly, women have been kept from us as usual these three days. When I came out, the vessels of the young men were holy, though it was only a common journey. How much more then today shall their vessels be holy?”

祭司就拿聖餅給他；因為在那裏沒有別樣餅，只有更換新餅，從耶和華面前撤下來的陳設餅。 （

jì sī jiù ná shèng bǐng gěi tā ； yīn wèi zài nà lǐ méi yǒu bié yàng bǐng ， zhǐ yǒu gēng huàn xīn bǐng ， cóng yē hé huá miàn qián chè xià lái de chén shè bǐng 。 （

So the priest gave him holy bread; for there was no bread there but the show bread that was taken from before the LORD, to be replaced with hot bread in the day when it was taken away.

當日有掃羅的一個臣子留在耶和華面前。他名叫多益，是以東人，作掃羅的司牧長。）

dāng rì yǒu sǎo luó de yí gè chén zǐ liú zài yē hé huá miàn qián 。 tā míng jiào duō yì ， shì yǐ dōng rén ， zuò sǎo luó de sī mù cháng 。）

Now a certain man of the servants of Saul was there that day, detained before the LORD; and his name was Doeg the Edomite, the best of the herdsmen who belonged to Saul.

大衛問亞希米勒說：「你手下有槍有刀沒有？因為王的事甚急，連刀劍器械我都沒有帶。」

dà wèi wèn yà xī mǐ lè shuō ：「 nǐ shǒu xià yǒu qiāng yǒu dāo méi yǒu ？ yīn wèi wáng de shì shèn jí ， lián dāo jiàn qì xiè wǒ dōu méi yǒu dài 。」

David said to Ahimelech, “Isn’t there here under your hand spear or sword? For I haven’t brought my sword or my weapons with me, because the king’s business required haste.”

祭司說：「你在以拉谷殺非利士人歌利亞的那刀在這裏，裹在布中，放在以弗得後邊，你要就可以拿去；除此以外，再沒有別的。」大衛說：「這刀沒有可比的！求你給我。」

jì sī shuō ：「 nǐ zài yǐ lā gǔ shā fēi lì shì rén gē lì yà de nà dāo zài zhè lǐ ， guǒ zài bù zhōng ， fàng zài yǐ fú dé hòu biān ， nǐ yào jiù kě yǐ ná qù ； chú cǐ yǐ wài ， zài méi yǒu bié de 。」 dà wèi shuō ：「 zhè dāo méi yǒu kě bǐ de ！ qiú nǐ gěi wǒ 。」

The priest said, “Behold, the sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you killed in the valley of Elah, is here wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod. If you would like to take that, take it, for there is no other except that here.” David said, “There is none like that. Give it to me.”

那日大衛起來，躲避掃羅，逃到迦特王亞吉那裏。

nà rì dà wèi qǐ lái ， duǒ bì sǎo luó ， táo dào jiā tè wáng yà jí nà lǐ 。

David arose and fled that day for fear of Saul, and went to Achish the king of Gath.

亞吉的臣僕對亞吉說：「這不是以色列國王大衛嗎？那裏的婦女跳舞唱和，不是指着他說『掃羅殺死千千，大衛殺死萬萬』嗎？」

yà jí de chén pú duì yà jí shuō ：「 zhè bú shì yǐ sè liè guó wáng dà wèi ma ？ nà lǐ de fù nǚ tiào wǔ chàng hè ， bú shì zhǐ zhe tā shuō 『 sǎo luó shā sǐ qiān qiān ， dà wèi shā sǐ wàn wàn 』 ma ？」

The servants of Achish said to him, “Isn’t this David the king of the land? Didn’t they sing to one another about him in dances, saying, ‘Saul has slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands’?”

大衛將這話放在心裏，甚懼怕迦特王亞吉，

dà wèi jiāng zhè huà fàng zài xīn lǐ ， shèn jù pà jiā tè wáng yà jí ，

David laid up these words in his heart, and was very afraid of Achish the king of Gath.

就在眾人面前改變了尋常的舉動，在他們手下假裝瘋癲，在城門的門扇上胡寫亂畫，使唾沫流在鬍子上。

jiù zài zhòng rén miàn qián gǎi biàn le xún cháng de jǔ dòng ， zài tā men shǒu xià jiǎ zhuāng fēng diān ， zài chéng mén de mén shàn shàng hú xiě luàn huà ， shǐ tuò mò liú zài hú zi shàng 。

He changed his behavior before them and pretended to be insane in their hands, and scribbled on the doors of the gate, and let his spittle fall down on his beard.

亞吉對臣僕說：「你們看，這人是瘋子。為甚麼帶他到我這裏來呢？

yà jí duì chén pú shuō ：「 nǐ men kàn ， zhè rén shì fēng zǐ 。 wèi shén me dài tā dào wǒ zhè lǐ lái ne ？

Then Achish said to his servants, “Look, you see the man is insane. Why then have you brought him to me?

我豈缺少瘋子，你們帶這人來在我面前瘋癲嗎？這人豈可進我的家呢？」

wǒ qǐ quē shǎo fēng zǐ ， nǐ men dài zhè rén lái zài wǒ miàn qián fēng diān ma ？ zhè rén qǐ kě jìn wǒ de jiā ne ？」

Do I lack madmen, that you have brought this fellow to play the madman in my presence? Should this fellow come into my house?”
