耶和華的約櫃在非利士人之地七個月。

yē hé huá de yuē guì zài fēi lì shì rén zhī dì qī gè yuè 。

The LORD’s ark was in the country of the Philistines seven months.

非利士人將祭司和占卜的聚了來，問他們說：「我們向耶和華的約櫃應當怎樣行？請指示我們用何法將約櫃送回原處。」

fēi lì shì rén jiāng jì sī hé zhān bǔ de jù le lái ， wèn tā men shuō ：「 wǒ men xiàng yē hé huá de yuē guì yīng dāng zěn yàng xíng ？ qǐng zhǐ shì wǒ men yòng hé fǎ jiāng yuē guì sòng huí yuán chù 。」

The Philistines called for the priests and the diviners, saying, “What shall we do with the LORD’s ark? Show us how we should send it to its place.”

他們說：「若要將以色列上帝的約櫃送回去，不可空空地送去，必要給他獻賠罪的禮物，然後你們可得痊癒，並知道他的手為何不離開你們。」

tā men shuō ：「 ruò yào jiāng yǐ sè liè shén de yuē guì sòng huí qù ， bù kě kōng kòng dì sòng qù ， bì yào gěi tā xiàn péi zuì de lǐ wù ， rán hòu nǐ men kě dé quán yù ， bìng zhī dào tā de shǒu wèi hé bù lí kāi nǐ men 。」

They said, “If you send away the ark of the God of Israel, don’t send it empty; but by all means return a trespass offering to him. Then you will be healed, and it will be known to you why his hand is not removed from you.”

非利士人說：「應當用甚麼獻為賠罪的禮物呢？」他們回答說：「當照非利士首領的數目，用五個金痔瘡，五個金老鼠，因為在你們眾人和你們首領的身上都是一樣的災。

fēi lì shì rén shuō ：「 yīng dāng yòng shén me xiàn wèi péi zuì de lǐ wù ne ？」 tā men huí dá shuō ：「 dāng zhào fēi lì shì shǒu lǐng de shù mù ， yòng wǔ gè jīn zhì chuāng ， wǔ gè jīn lǎo shǔ ， yīn wèi zài nǐ men zhòng rén hé nǐ men shǒu lǐng de shēn shàng dōu shì yí yàng de zāi 。

Then they said, “What should the trespass offering be which we shall return to him?” They said, “Five golden tumors and five golden mice, for the number of the lords of the Philistines; for one plague was on you all, and on your lords.

所以當製造你們痔瘡的像和毀壞你們田地老鼠的像，並要歸榮耀給以色列的上帝，或者他向你們和你們的神，並你們的田地，把手放輕些。

suǒ yǐ dāng zhì zào nǐ men zhì chuāng de xiàng hé huǐ huài nǐ men tián dì lǎo shǔ de xiàng ， bìng yào guī róng yào gěi yǐ sè liè de shén ， huò zhě tā xiàng nǐ men hé nǐ men de shén ， bìng nǐ men de tián dì ， bǎ shǒu fàng qīng xiē 。

Therefore you shall make images of your tumors and images of your mice that mar the land; and you shall give glory to the God of Israel. Perhaps he will release his hand from you, from your gods, and from your land.

你們為何硬着心像埃及人和法老一樣呢？上帝在埃及人中間行奇事，埃及人豈不釋放以色列人，他們就去了嗎？

nǐ men wèi hé yìng zhe xīn xiàng āi jí rén hé fǎ lǎo yí yàng ne ？ shén zài āi jí rén zhōng jiān xíng qí shì ， āi jí rén qǐ bú shì fàng yǐ sè liè rén ， tā men jiù qù le ma ？

Why then do you harden your hearts as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their hearts? When he had worked wonderfully among them, didn’t they let the people go, and they departed?

現在你們應當造一輛新車，將兩隻未曾負軛有乳的母牛套在車上，使牛犢回家去，離開母牛。

xiàn zài nǐ men yīng dāng zào yí liàng xīn chē ， jiāng liǎng zhī wèi céng fù è yǒu rǔ de mǔ niú tào zài chē shàng ， shǐ niú dú huí jiā qù ， lí kāi mǔ niú 。

“Now therefore take and prepare yourselves a new cart and two milk cows on which there has come no yoke; and tie the cows to the cart, and bring their calves home from them;

把耶和華的約櫃放在車上，將所獻賠罪的金物裝在匣子裏，放在櫃旁，將櫃送去。

bǎ yē hé huá de yuē guì fàng zài chē shàng ， jiāng suǒ xiàn péi zuì de jīn wù zhuāng zài xiá zǐ lǐ ， fàng zài guì páng ， jiāng guì sòng qù 。

and take the LORD’s ark and lay it on the cart. Put the jewels of gold, which you return him for a trespass offering, in a box by its side; and send it away, that it may go.

你們要看看：車若直行以色列的境界到伯‧示麥去，這大災就是耶和華降在我們身上的；若不然，便可以知道不是他的手擊打我們，是我們偶然遇見的。」

nǐ men yào kàn kàn ： chē ruò zhí xíng yǐ sè liè de jìng jiè dào bó · shì mài qù ， zhè dà zāi jiù shì yē hé huá jiàng zài wǒ men shēn shàng de ； ruò bù rán ， biàn kě yǐ zhī dào bú shì tā de shǒu jī dǎ wǒ men ， shì wǒ men ǒu rán yù jiàn de 。」

Behold, if it goes up by the way of its own border to Beth Shemesh, then he has done us this great evil; but if not, then we shall know that it is not his hand that struck us. It was a chance that happened to us.”

非利士人就這樣行：將兩隻有乳的母牛套在車上，將牛犢關在家裏，

fēi lì shì rén jiù zhè yàng xíng ： jiāng liǎng zhǐ yǒu rǔ de mǔ niú tào zài chē shàng ， jiāng niú dú guān zài jiā lǐ ，

The men did so, and took two milk cows and tied them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home.

把耶和華的約櫃和裝金老鼠並金痔瘡像的匣子都放在車上。

bǎ yē hé huá de yuē guì hé zhuāng jīn lǎo shǔ bìng jīn zhì chuāng xiàng de xiá zǐ dōu fàng zài chē shàng 。

They put the LORD’s ark on the cart, and the box with the golden mice and the images of their tumors.

牛直行大道，往伯‧示麥去，一面走一面叫，不偏左右。非利士的首領跟在後面，直到伯‧示麥的境界。

niú zhí xíng dà dào ， wǎng bó · shì mài qù ， yí miàn zǒu yí miàn jiào ， bù piān zuǒ yòu 。 fēi lì shì de shǒu lǐng gēn zài hòu miàn ， zhí dào bó · shì mài de jìng jiè 。

The cows took the straight way by the way to Beth Shemesh. They went along the highway, lowing as they went, and didn’t turn away to the right hand or to the left; and the lords of the Philistines went after them to the border of Beth Shemesh.

伯‧示麥人正在平原收割麥子，舉目看見約櫃，就歡喜了。

bó · shì mài rén zhèng zài píng yuán shōu gē mài zi ， jǔ mù kàn jiàn yuē guì ， jiù huān xǐ le 。

The people of Beth Shemesh were reaping their wheat harvest in the valley; and they lifted up their eyes and saw the ark, and rejoiced to see it.

車到了伯‧示麥人約書亞的田間，就站住了。在那裏有一塊大磐石，他們把車劈了，將兩隻母牛獻給耶和華為燔祭。

chē dào le bó · shì mài rén yuē shū yà de tián jiān ， jiù zhàn zhù le 。 zài nà lǐ yǒu yí kuài dà pán shí ， tā men bǎ chē pī le ， jiāng liǎng zhī mǔ niú xiàn gěi yē hé huá wèi fán jì 。

The cart came into the field of Joshua of Beth Shemesh, and stood there, where there was a great stone. Then they split the wood of the cart and offered up the cows for a burnt offering to the LORD.

利未人將耶和華的約櫃和裝金物的匣子拿下來，放在大磐石上。當日伯‧示麥人將燔祭和平安祭獻給耶和華。

lì wèi rén jiāng yē hé huá de yuē guì hé zhuāng jīn wù de xiá zǐ ná xià lái ， fàng zài dà pán shí shàng 。 dāng rì bó · shì mài rén jiāng fán jì hé píng ān jì xiàn gěi yē hé huá 。

The Levites took down the LORD’s ark and the box that was with it, in which the jewels of gold were, and put them on the great stone; and the men of Beth Shemesh offered burnt offerings and sacrificed sacrifices the same day to the LORD.

非利士人的五個首領看見，當日就回以革倫去了。

fēi lì shì rén de wǔ gè shǒu lǐng kàn jiàn ， dāng rì jiù huí yǐ gé lún qù le 。

When the five lords of the Philistines had seen it, they returned to Ekron the same day.

非利士人獻給耶和華作賠罪的金痔瘡像，就是這些：一個是為亞實突，一個是為迦薩，一個是為亞實基倫，一個是為迦特，一個是為以革倫。

fēi lì shì rén xiàn gěi yē hé huá zuò péi zuì de jīn zhì chuāng xiàng ， jiù shì zhè xiē ： yí gè shì wèi yà shí tū ， yí gè shì wèi jiā sà ， yí gè shì wèi yà shí jī lún ， yí gè shì wèi jiā tè ， yí gè shì wèi yǐ gé lún 。

These are the golden tumors which the Philistines returned for a trespass offering to the LORD: for Ashdod one, for Gaza one, for Ashkelon one, for Gath one, for Ekron one;

金老鼠的數目是照非利士五個首領的城邑，就是堅固的城邑和鄉村，以及大磐石。這磐石是放耶和華約櫃的，到今日還在伯‧示麥人約書亞的田間。

jīn lǎo shǔ de shù mù shì zhào fēi lì shì wǔ gè shǒu lǐng de chéng yì ， jiù shì jiān gù de chéng yì hé xiāng cūn ， yǐ jí dà pán shí 。 zhè pán shí shì fàng yē hé huá yuē guì de ， dào jīn rì hái zài bó · shì mài rén yuē shū yà de tián jiān 。

and the golden mice, according to the number of all the cities of the Philistines belonging to the five lords, both of fortified cities and of country villages, even to the great stone on which they set down the LORD’s ark. That stone remains to this day in the field of Joshua of Beth Shemesh.

耶和華因伯‧示麥人擅觀他的約櫃，就擊殺了他們七十人；那時有五萬人在那裏 。百姓因耶和華大大擊殺他們，就哀哭了。

yē hé huá yīn bó · shì mài rén shàn guān tā de yuē guì ， jiù jī shā le tā men qī shí rén ； nà shí yǒu wǔ wàn rén zài nà lǐ 。 bǎi xìng yīn yē hé huá dà dà jī shā tā men ， jiù āi kū le 。

He struck of the men of Beth Shemesh, because they had looked into the LORD’s ark, he struck fifty thousand seventy of the men. Then the people mourned, because the LORD had struck the people with a great slaughter.

伯‧示麥人說：「誰能在耶和華這聖潔的上帝面前侍立呢？這約櫃可以從我們這裏送到誰那裏去呢？」

bó · shì mài rén shuō ：「 shuí néng zài yē hé huá zhè shèng jié de shén miàn qián shì lì ne ？ zhè yuē guì kě yǐ cóng wǒ men zhè lǐ sòng dào shuí nà lǐ qù ne ？」

The men of Beth Shemesh said, “Who is able to stand before the LORD, this holy God? To whom shall he go up from us?”

於是打發人去見基列‧耶琳的居民，說：「非利士人將耶和華的約櫃送回來了，你們下來將約櫃接到你們那裏去吧！」

yú shì dǎ fā rén qù jiàn jī liè · yē lín de jū mín ， shuō ：「 fēi lì shì rén jiāng yē hé huá de yuē guì sòng huí lái le ， nǐ men xià lái jiāng yuē guì jiē dào nǐ men nà lǐ qù ba ！」

They sent messengers to the inhabitants of Kiriath Jearim, saying, “The Philistines have brought back the LORD’s ark. Come down and bring it up to yourselves.”
