非利士人將上帝的約櫃從以便以謝抬到亞實突。

fēi lì shì rén jiāng shén de yuē guì cóng yǐ biàn yǐ xiè tái dào yà shí tū 。

Now the Philistines had taken God’s ark, and they brought it from Ebenezer to Ashdod.

非利士人將上帝的約櫃抬進大袞廟，放在大袞的旁邊。

fēi lì shì rén jiāng shén de yuē guì tái jìn dà gǔn miào ， fàng zài dà gǔn de páng biān 。

The Philistines took God’s ark, and brought it into the house of Dagon and set it by Dagon.

次日清早，亞實突人起來，見大袞仆倒在耶和華的約櫃前，臉伏於地，就把大袞仍立在原處。

cì rì qīng zǎo ， yà shí tū rén qǐ lái ， jiàn dà gǔn pú dǎo zài yē hé huá de yuē guì qián ， liǎn fú yú dì ， jiù bǎ dà gǔn réng lì zài yuán chù 。

When the people of Ashdod arose early on the next day, behold, Dagon had fallen on his face to the ground before the LORD’s ark. They took Dagon and set him in his place again.

又次日清早起來，見大袞仆倒在耶和華的約櫃前，臉伏於地，並且大袞的頭和兩手都在門檻上折斷，只剩下大袞的殘體。（

yòu cì rì qīng zǎo qǐ lái ， jiàn dà gǔn pú dǎo zài yē hé huá de yuē guì qián ， liǎn fú yú dì ， bìng qiě dà gǔn de tóu hé liǎng shǒu dōu zài mén kǎn shàng zhé duàn ， zhī shèng xià dà gǔn de cán tǐ 。（

When they arose early on the following morning, behold, Dagon had fallen on his face to the ground before the LORD’s ark; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off on the threshold. Only Dagon’s torso was intact.

因此，大袞的祭司和一切進亞實突、大袞廟的人都不踏大袞廟的門檻，直到今日。）

yīn cǐ ， dà gǔn de jì sī hé yí qiè jìn yà shí tū 、 dà gǔn miào de rén dōu bú tà dà gǔn miào de mén kǎn ， zhí dào jīn rì 。）

Therefore neither the priests of Dagon nor any who come into Dagon’s house step on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod to this day.

耶和華的手重重加在亞實突人身上，敗壞他們，使他們生痔瘡。亞實突和亞實突的四境都是如此。

yē hé huá de shǒu chóng chóng jiā zài yà shí tū rén shēn shàng ， bài huài tā men ， shǐ tā men shēng zhì chuāng 。 yà shí tū hé yà shí tū de sì jìng dōu shì rú cǐ 。

But the LORD’s hand was heavy on the people of Ashdod, and he destroyed them and struck them with tumors, even Ashdod and its borders.

亞實突人見這光景，就說：「以色列上帝的約櫃不可留在我們這裏，因為他的手重重加在我們和我們神大袞的身上」；

yà shí tū rén jiàn zhè guāng jǐng ， jiù shuō ：「 yǐ sè liè shén de yuē guì bù kě liú zài wǒ men zhè lǐ ， yīn wèi tā de shǒu chóng chóng jiā zài wǒ men hé wǒ men shén dà gǔn de shēn shàng 」；

When the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, “The ark of the God of Israel shall not stay with us, for his hand is severe on us and on Dagon our god.”

就打發人去請非利士的眾首領來聚集，問他們說：「我們向以色列上帝的約櫃應當怎樣行呢？」他們回答說：「可以將以色列上帝的約櫃運到迦特去。」於是將以色列上帝的約櫃運到那裏去。

jiù dǎ fā rén qù qǐng fēi lì shì de zhòng shǒu lǐng lái jù jí ， wèn tā men shuō ：「 wǒ men xiàng yǐ sè liè shén de yuē guì yīng dāng zěn yàng xíng ne ？」 tā men huí dá shuō ：「 kě yǐ jiāng yǐ sè liè shén de yuē guì yùn dào jiā tè qù 。」 yú shì jiāng yǐ sè liè shén de yuē guì yùn dào nà lǐ qù 。

They sent therefore and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, “What shall we do with the ark of the God of Israel?” They answered, “Let the ark of the God of Israel be carried over to Gath.” They carried the ark of the God of Israel there.

運到之後，耶和華的手攻擊那城，使那城的人大大驚慌，無論大小都生痔瘡。

yùn dào zhī hòu ， yē hé huá de shǒu gōng jī nà chéng ， shǐ nà chéng de rén dà dà jīng huāng ， wú lùn dà xiǎo dōu shēng zhì chuāng 。

It was so, that after they had carried it there, the LORD’s hand was against the city with a very great confusion; and he struck the men of the city, both small and great, so that tumors broke out on them.

他們就把上帝的約櫃送到以革倫。上帝的約櫃到了，以革倫人就喊嚷起來說：「他們將以色列上帝的約櫃運到我們這裏，要害我們和我們的眾民！」

tā men jiù bǎ shén de yuē guì sòng dào yǐ gé lún 。 shén de yuē guì dào le ， yǐ gé lún rén jiù hǎn rǎng qǐ lái shuō ：「 tā men jiāng yǐ sè liè shén de yuē guì yùn dào wǒ men zhè lǐ ， yào hài wǒ men hé wǒ men de zhòng mín ！」

So they sent God’s ark to Ekron. As God’s ark came to Ekron, the Ekronites cried out, saying, “They have brought the ark of the God of Israel here to us, to kill us and our people.”

於是打發人去請非利士的眾首領來，說：「願你們將以色列上帝的約櫃送回原處，免得害了我們和我們的眾民！」原來上帝的手重重攻擊那城，城中的人有因驚慌而死的；

yú shì dǎ fā rén qù qǐng fēi lì shì de zhòng shǒu lǐng lái ， shuō ：「 yuàn nǐ men jiāng yǐ sè liè shén de yuē guì sòng huí yuán chù ， miǎn de hài le wǒ men hé wǒ men de zhòng mín ！」 yuán lái shén de shǒu chóng chóng gōng jī nà chéng ， chéng zhōng de rén yǒu yīn jīng huāng ér sǐ de ；

They sent therefore and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and they said, “Send the ark of the God of Israel away, and let it go again to its own place, that it not kill us and our people.” For there was a deadly panic throughout all the city. The hand of God was very heavy there.

未曾死的人都生了痔瘡。合城呼號，聲音上達於天。

wèi céng sǐ de rén dōu shēng le zhì chuāng 。 hé chéng hū háo ， shēng yīn shàng dá yú tiān 。

The men who didn’t die were struck with the tumors; and the cry of the city went up to heaven.
