帖撒羅尼迦前書 1

保羅、西拉、提摩太寫信給帖撒羅尼迦在父上帝和主耶穌基督裏的教會。願恩惠、平安歸與你們！

bǎo luó 、 xī lā 、 tí mó tài xiě xìn gěi tiē sā luó ní jiā zài fù shén hé zhǔ yē sū jī dū lǐ de jiào huì 。 yuàn ēn huì 、 píng ān guī yǔ nǐ men ！

Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, to the assembly of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

我們為你們眾人常常感謝上帝，禱告的時候提到你們，

wǒ men wèi nǐ men zhòng rén cháng cháng gǎn xiè shén ， dǎo gào de shí hòu tí dào nǐ men ，

We always give thanks to God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers,

在上帝－我們的父面前，不住地記念你們因信心所做的工夫，因愛心所受的勞苦，因盼望我們主耶穌基督所存的忍耐。

zài shén — wǒ men de fù miàn qián ， bú zhù dì jì niàn nǐ men yīn xìn xīn suǒ zuò de gōng fū ， yīn ài xīn suǒ shòu de láo kǔ ， yīn pàn wàng wǒ men zhǔ yē sū jī dū suǒ cún de rěn nài 。

remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love and perseverance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father.

被上帝所愛的弟兄啊，我知道你們是蒙揀選的；

bèi shén suǒ ài de dì xiong a ， wǒ zhī dào nǐ men shì méng jiǎn xuǎn de ；

We know, brothers loved by God, that you are chosen,

因為我們的福音傳到你們那裏，不獨在乎言語，也在乎權能和聖靈，並充足的信心。正如你們知道，我們在你們那裏，為你們的緣故是怎樣為人。

yīn wèi wǒ men de fú yīn chuán dào nǐ men nà lǐ ， bù dú zài hū yán yǔ ， yě zài hū quán néng hé shèng líng ， bìng chōng zú de xìn xīn 。 zhèng rú nǐ men zhī dào ， wǒ men zài nǐ men nà lǐ ， wèi nǐ men de yuán gù shì zěn yàng wèi rén 。

and that our Good News came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and with much assurance. You know what kind of men we showed ourselves to be among you for your sake.

並且你們在大難之中，蒙了聖靈所賜的喜樂，領受真道就效法我們，也效法了主；

bìng qiě nǐ men zài dà nàn zhī zhōng ， méng le shèng líng suǒ cì de xǐ lè ， lǐng shòu zhēn dào jiù xiào fǎ wǒ men ， yě xiào fǎ le zhǔ ；

You became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit,

甚至你們作了馬其頓和亞該亞所有信主之人的榜樣。

shèn zhì nǐ men zuò le mǎ qí dùn hé yà gāi yà suǒ yǒu xìn zhǔ zhī rén de bǎng yàng 。

so that you became an example to all who believe in Macedonia and in Achaia.

因為主的道從你們那裏已經傳揚出來。你們向上帝的信心不但在馬其頓和亞該亞，就是在各處也都傳開了，所以不用我們說甚麼話。

yīn wéi zhǔ de dào cóng nǐ men nà lǐ yǐ jīng zhuàn yáng chū lái 。 nǐ men xiàng shén de xìn xīn bú dàn zài mǎ qí dùn hé yà gāi yà ， jiù shì zài gè chù yě dōu chuán kāi le ， suǒ yǐ bú yòng wǒ men shuō shén me huà 。

For from you the word of the Lord has been declared, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone out, so that we need not to say anything.

因為他們自己已經報明我們是怎樣進到你們那裏，你們是怎樣離棄偶像，歸向上帝，要服事那又真又活的上帝，

yīn wèi tā men zì jǐ yǐ jīng bào míng wǒ men shì zěn yàng jìn dào nǐ men nà lǐ ， nǐ men shì zěn yàng lí qì ǒu xiàng ， guī xiàng shén ， yào fú shì nà yòu zhēn yòu huó de shén ，

For they themselves report concerning us what kind of a reception we had from you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God,

等候他兒子從天降臨，就是他從死裏復活的－那位救我們脫離將來忿怒的耶穌。

děng hòu tā ér zi cóng tiān jiàng lín ， jiù shì tā cóng sǐ lǐ fù huó de — nà wèi jiù wǒ men tuō lí jiāng lái fèn nù de yē sū 。

and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead: Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath to come.
