帖撒羅尼迦前書 2

弟兄們，你們自己原曉得我們進到你們那裏並不是徒然的。

dì xiōng men ， nǐ men zì jǐ yuán xiǎo de wǒ men jìn dào nǐ men nà lǐ bìng bú shì tú rán de 。

For you yourselves know, brothers, our visit to you wasn’t in vain,

我們從前在腓立比被害受辱，這是你們知道的；然而還是靠我們的上帝放開膽量，在大爭戰中把上帝的福音傳給你們。

wǒ men cóng qián zài féi lì bǐ bèi hài shòu rǔ ， zhè shì nǐ men zhī dào de ； rán ér hái shì kào wǒ men de shén fàng kāi dǎn liàng ， zài dà zhēng zhàn zhōng bǎ shén de fú yīn chuán gěi nǐ men 。

but having suffered before and been shamefully treated, as you know, at Philippi, we grew bold in our God to tell you the Good News of God in much conflict.

我們的勸勉不是出於錯誤，不是出於污穢，也不是用詭詐。

wǒ men de quàn miǎn bú shì chū yú cuò wù ， bú shì chū yú wū huì ， yě bú shì yòng guǐ zhà 。

For our exhortation is not of error, nor of uncleanness, nor in deception.

但上帝既然驗中了我們，把福音託付我們，我們就照樣講，不是要討人喜歡，乃是要討那察驗我們心的上帝喜歡。

dàn shén jì rán yàn zhōng le wǒ men ， bǎ fú yīn tuō fù wǒ men ， wǒ men jiù zhào yàng jiǎng ， bú shì yào tǎo rén xǐ huan ， nǎi shì yào tǎo nà chá yàn wǒ men xīn de shén xǐ huan 。

But even as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News, so we speak—not as pleasing men, but God, who tests our hearts.

因為我們從來沒有用過諂媚的話，這是你們知道的；也沒有藏着貪心，這是上帝可以作見證的。

yīn wèi wǒ men cóng lái méi yǒu yòng guò chǎn mèi de huà ， zhè shì nǐ men zhī dào de ； yě méi yǒu cáng zhe tān xīn ， zhè shì shén kě yǐ zuò jiàn zhèng de 。

For neither were we at any time found using words of flattery, as you know, nor a cloak of covetousness (God is witness),

我們作基督的使徒，雖然可以叫人尊重，卻沒有向你們或向別人求榮耀；

wǒ men zuò jī dū de shǐ tú ， suī rán kě yǐ jiào rén zūn zhòng ， què méi yǒu xiàng nǐ men huò xiàng bié rén qiú róng yào ；

nor seeking glory from men (neither from you nor from others), when we might have claimed authority as apostles of Christ.

只在你們中間存心溫柔，如同母親乳養自己的孩子。

zhī zài nǐ men zhōng jiān cún xīn wēn róu ， rú tóng mǔ qīn rǔ yǎng zì jǐ de hái zi 。

But we were gentle among you, like a nursing mother cherishes her own children.

我們既是這樣愛你們，不但願意將上帝的福音給你們，連自己的性命也願意給你們，因你們是我們所疼愛的。

wǒ men jì shì zhè yàng ài nǐ men ， bú dàn yuàn yì jiāng shén de fú yīn gěi nǐ men ， lián zì jǐ de xìng mìng yě yuàn yì gěi nǐ men ， yīn nǐ men shì wǒ men suǒ téng ài de 。

Even so, affectionately longing for you, we were well pleased to impart to you not the Good News of God only, but also our own souls, because you had become very dear to us.

弟兄們，你們記念我們的辛苦勞碌，晝夜做工，傳上帝的福音給你們，免得叫你們一人受累。

dì xiong men ， nǐ men jì niàn wǒ men de xīn kǔ láo lù ， zhòu yè zuò gōng ， chuán shén de fú yīn gěi nǐ men ， miǎn de jiào nǐ men yì rén shòu lèi 。

For you remember, brothers, our labor and travail; for working night and day, that we might not burden any of you, we preached to you the Good News of God.

我們向你們信主的人，是何等聖潔、公義、無可指摘，有你們作見證，也有上帝作見證。

wǒ men xiàng nǐ men xìn zhǔ de rén ， shì hé děng shèng jié 、 gōng yì 、 wú kě zhǐ zhāi ， yǒu nǐ men zuò jiàn zhèng ， yě yǒu shén zuò jiàn zhèng 。

You are witnesses with God how holy, righteously, and blamelessly we behaved ourselves toward you who believe.

你們也曉得，我們怎樣勸勉你們，安慰你們，囑咐你們各人，好像父親待自己的兒女一樣，

nǐ men yě xiǎo de ， wǒ men zěn yàng quàn miǎn nǐ men ， ān wèi nǐ men ， zhǔ fù nǐ men gè rén ， hǎo xiàng fù qīn dài zì jǐ de ér nǚ yí yàng ，

As you know, we exhorted, comforted, and implored every one of you, as a father does his own children,

要叫你們行事對得起那召你們進他國、得他榮耀的上帝。

yào jiào nǐ men xíng shì duì de qǐ nà zhào nǐ men jìn tā guó 、 dé tā róng yào de shén 。

to the end that you should walk worthily of God, who calls you into his own Kingdom and glory.

為此，我們也不住地感謝上帝，因你們聽見我們所傳上帝的道就領受了；不以為是人的道，乃以為是上帝的道。這道實在是上帝的，並且運行在你們信主的人心中。

wèi cǐ ， wǒ men yě bú zhù dì gǎn xiè shén ， yīn nǐ men tīng jiàn wǒ men suǒ chuán shén de dào jiù lǐng shòu le ； bù yǐ wéi shì rén de dào ， nǎi yǐ wéi shì shén de dào 。 zhè dào shí zài shì shén de ， bìng qiě yùn xíng zài nǐ men xìn zhǔ de rén xīn zhōng 。

For this cause we also thank God without ceasing that when you received from us the word of the message of God, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, God’s word, which also works in you who believe.

弟兄們，你們曾效法猶太中在基督耶穌裏上帝的各教會；因為你們也受了本地人的苦害，像他們受了猶太人的苦害一樣。

dì xiong men ， nǐ men céng xiào fǎ yóu tài zhōng zài jī dū yē sū lǐ shén de gè jiào huì ； yīn wèi nǐ men yě shòu le běn dì rén de kǔ hài ， xiàng tā men shòu le yóu tài rén de kǔ hài yí yàng 。

For you, brothers, became imitators of the assemblies of God which are in Judea in Christ Jesus; for you also suffered the same things from your own countrymen, even as they did from the Jews

這猶太人殺了主耶穌和先知，又把我們趕出去。他們不得上帝的喜悅，且與眾人為敵，

zhè yóu tài rén shā le zhǔ yē sū hé xiān zhī ， yòu bǎ wǒ men gǎn chū qù 。 tā men bù dé shén de xǐ yuè ， qiě yǔ zhòng rén wéi dí ，

who killed both the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and drove us out, and don’t please God, and are contrary to all men,

不許我們傳道給外邦人使外邦人得救，常常充滿自己的罪惡。上帝的忿怒臨在他們身上已經到了極處。

bù xǔ wǒ men chuán dào gěi wài bāng rén shǐ wài bāng rén dé jiù ， cháng cháng chōng mǎn zì jǐ de zuì è 。 shén de fèn nù lín zài tā men shēn shàng yǐ jīng dào le jí chù 。

forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they may be saved, to fill up their sins always. But wrath has come on them to the uttermost.

弟兄們，我們暫時與你們離別，是面目離別，心裏卻不離別；我們極力地想法子，很願意見你們的面。

dì xiong men ， wǒ men zàn shí yǔ nǐ men lí bié ， shì miàn mù lí bié ， xīn lǐ què bù lí bié ； wǒ men jí lì dì xiǎng fǎ zǐ ， hěn yuàn yì jiàn nǐ men de miàn 。

But we, brothers, being bereaved of you for a short season in presence, not in heart, tried even harder to see your face with great desire,

所以我們有意到你們那裏；我－保羅有一兩次要去，只是撒但阻擋了我們。

suǒ yǐ wǒ men yǒu yì dào nǐ men nà lǐ ； wǒ — bǎo luó yǒu yì liǎng cì yào qù ， zhǐ shì sā dàn zǔ dǎng le wǒ men 。

because we wanted to come to you—indeed, I, Paul, once and again—but Satan hindered us.

我們的盼望和喜樂，並所誇的冠冕是甚麼呢？豈不是我們主耶穌來的時候、你們在他面前站立得住嗎？

wǒ men de pàn wàng hé xǐ lè ， bìng suǒ kuā de guān miǎn shì shén me ne ？ qǐ bú shì wǒ men zhǔ yē sū lái de shí hòu 、 nǐ men zài tā miàn qián zhàn lì dé zhù ma ？

For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Isn’t it even you, before our Lord Jesus at his coming?

因為你們就是我們的榮耀，我們的喜樂。

yīn wèi nǐ men jiù shì wǒ men de róng yào ， wǒ men de xǐ lè 。

For you are our glory and our joy.
