提摩太前書 2

我勸你，第一要為萬人懇求、禱告、代求、祝謝；

wǒ quàn nǐ ， dì yī yào wèi wàn rén kěn qiú 、 dǎo gào 、 dài qiú 、 zhù xiè ；

I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men,

為君王和一切在位的，也該如此，使我們可以敬虔、端正、平安無事地度日。

wèi jūn wáng hé yí qiè zài wèi de ， yě gāi rú cǐ ， shǐ wǒ men kě yǐ jìng qián 、 duān zhèng 、 píng ān wú shì dì dù rì 。

for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence.

這是好的，在上帝我們救主面前可蒙悅納。

zhè shì hǎo de ， zài shén wǒ men jiù zhǔ miàn qián kě méng yuè nà 。

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,

他願意萬人得救，明白真道。

tā yuàn yì wàn rén dé jiù ， míng bái zhēn dào 。

who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth.

因為只有一位上帝，在上帝和人中間，只有一位中保，乃是降世為人的基督耶穌；

yīn wèi zhǐ yǒu yí wèi shén ， zài shén hé rén zhōng jiān ， zhǐ yǒu yí wèi zhōng bǎo ， nǎi shì jiàng shì wèi rén de jī dū yē sū ；

For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

他捨自己作萬人的贖價，到了時候，這事必證明出來。

tā shè zì jǐ zuò wàn rén de shú jià ， dào le shí hòu ， zhè shì bì zhèng míng chū lái 。

who gave himself as a ransom for all, the testimony at the proper time,

我為此奉派作傳道的，作使徒，作外邦人的師傅，教導他們相信，學習真道。我說的是真話，並不是謊言。

wǒ wèi cǐ fèng pài zuò chuán dào de ， zuò shǐ tú ， zuò wài bāng rén de shī fu ， jiào dǎo tā men xiāng xìn ， xué xí zhēn dào 。 wǒ shuō de shì zhēn huà ， bìng bú shì huǎng yán 。

to which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle—I am telling the truth in Christ, not lying—a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

我願男人無忿怒，無爭論 ，舉起聖潔的手，隨處禱告；

wǒ yuàn nán rén wú fèn nù ， wú zhēng lùn ， jǔ qǐ shèng jié de shǒu ， suí chù dǎo gào ；

I desire therefore that the men in every place pray, lifting up holy hands without anger and doubting.

又願女人廉恥、自守，以正派衣裳為妝飾，不以編髮、黃金、珍珠，和貴價的衣裳為妝飾，

yòu yuàn nǚ rén lián chǐ 、 zì shǒu ， yǐ zhèng pài yī shang wèi zhuāng shì ， bù yǐ biān fā 、 huáng jīn 、 zhēn zhū ， hé guì jià de yī shang wèi zhuāng shì ，

In the same way, that women also adorn themselves in decent clothing, with modesty and propriety, not with braided hair, gold, pearls, or expensive clothing,

只要有善行，這才與自稱是敬上帝的女人相宜。

zhǐ yào yǒu shàn xíng ， zhè cái yǔ zì chēng shì jìng shén de nǚ rén xiāng yí 。

but with good works, which is appropriate for women professing godliness.

女人要沉靜學道，一味地順服。

nǚ rén yào chén jìng xué dào ， yí wèi dì shùn fú 。

Let a woman learn in quietness with full submission.

我不許女人講道，也不許她轄管男人，只要沉靜。

wǒ bù xǔ nǚ rén jiǎng dào ， yě bù xǔ tā xiá guǎn nán rén ， zhǐ yào chén jìng 。

But I don’t permit a woman to teach, nor to exercise authority over a man, but to be in quietness.

因為先造的是亞當，後造的是夏娃，

yīn wèi xiān zào de shì yà dāng ， hòu zào de shì xià wá ，

For Adam was formed first, then Eve.

且不是亞當被引誘，乃是女人被引誘，陷在罪裏。

qiě bú shì yà dāng bèi yǐn yòu ， nǎi shì nǚ rén bèi yǐn yòu ， xiàn zài zuì lǐ 。

Adam wasn’t deceived, but the woman, being deceived, has fallen into disobedience;

然而，女人若常存信心、愛心，又聖潔自守，就必在生產上得救。

rán ér ， nǚ rén ruò cháng cún xìn xīn 、 ài xīn ， yòu shèng jié zì shǒu ， jiù bì zài shēng chǎn shàng dé jiù 。

but she will be saved through her childbearing, if they continue in faith, love, and holiness with sobriety.
