提摩太前書 5

不可嚴責老年人，只要勸他如同父親；勸少年人如同弟兄；

bù kě yán zé lǎo nián rén ， zhǐ yào quàn tā rú tóng fù qīn ； quàn shào nián rén rú tóng dì xiong ；

Don’t rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father; the younger men as brothers;

勸老年婦女如同母親；勸少年婦女如同姊妹；總要清清潔潔的。

quàn lǎo nián fù nǚ rú tóng mǔ qīn ； quàn shào nián fù nǚ rú tóng zǐ mèi ； zǒng yào qīng qīng jié jié de 。

the elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, in all purity.

要尊敬那真為寡婦的。

yào zūn jìng nà zhēn wèi guǎ fù de 。

Honor widows who are widows indeed.

若寡婦有兒女，或有孫子孫女，便叫他們先在自己家中學着行孝，報答親恩，因為這在上帝面前是可悅納的。

ruò guǎ fù yǒu ér nǚ ， huò yǒu sūn zi sūn nǚ ， biàn jiào tā men xiān zài zì jǐ jiā zhōng xué zhe xíng xiào ， bào dá qīn ēn ， yīn wèi zhè zài shén miàn qián shì kě yuè nà de 。

But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show piety toward their own family and to repay their parents, for this is acceptable in the sight of God.

那獨居無靠、真為寡婦的，是仰賴上帝，晝夜不住地祈求禱告。

nà dú jū wú kào 、 zhēn wèi guǎ fù de ， shì yǎng lài shén ， zhòu yè bú zhù dì qí qiú dǎo gào 。

Now she who is a widow indeed and desolate, has her hope set on God and continues in petitions and prayers night and day.

但那好宴樂的寡婦正活着的時候也是死的。

dàn nà hǎo yàn lè de guǎ fù zhèng huó zhe de shí hòu yě shì sǐ de 。

But she who gives herself to pleasure is dead while she lives.

這些事你要囑咐她們，叫她們無可指責。

zhè xiē shì nǐ yào zhǔ fù tā men ， jiào tā men wú kě zhǐ zé 。

Also command these things, that they may be without reproach.

人若不看顧親屬，就是背了真道，比不信的人還不好，不看顧自己家裏的人，更是如此。

rén ruò bú kàn gù qīn shǔ ， jiù shì bèi le zhēn dào ， bǐ bú xìn de rén hái bù hǎo ， bú kàn gù zì jǐ jiā lǐ de rén ， gèng shì rú cǐ 。

But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

寡婦記在冊子上，必須年紀到六十歲，從來只作一個丈夫的妻子，

guǎ fù jì zài cè zǐ shàng ， bì xū nián jì dào liù shí suì ， cóng lái zhī zuò yí gè zhàng fu de qī zǐ ，

Let no one be enrolled as a widow under sixty years old, having been the wife of one man,

又有行善的名聲，就如養育兒女，接待遠人，洗聖徒的腳，救濟遭難的人，竭力行各樣善事。

yòu yǒu xíng shàn de míng shēng ， jiù rú yǎng yù ér nǚ ， jiē dài yuǎn rén ， xǐ shèng tú de jiǎo ， jiù jì zāo nán de rén ， jié lì xíng gè yàng shàn shì 。

being approved by good works, if she has brought up children, if she has been hospitable to strangers, if she has washed the saints’ feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, and if she has diligently followed every good work.

至於年輕的寡婦，就可以辭她；因為她們的情慾發動，違背基督的時候就想要嫁人。

zhì yú nián qīng de guǎ fù ， jiù kě yǐ cí tā ； yīn wèi tā men de qíng yù fā dòng ， wéi bèi jī dū de shí hòu jiù xiǎng yào jià rén 。

But refuse younger widows, for when they have grown wanton against Christ, they desire to marry,

她們被定罪，是因廢棄了當初所許的願；

tā men bèi dìng zuì ， shì yīn fèi qì le dāng chū suǒ xǔ de yuàn ；

having condemnation, because they have rejected their first pledge.

並且她們又習慣懶惰，挨家閒遊；不但是懶惰，又說長道短，好管閒事，說些不當說的話。

bìng qiě tā men yòu xí guàn lǎn duò ， āi jiā xián yóu ； bú dàn shì lǎn duò ， yòu shuō cháng dào duǎn ， hǎo guǎn xián shì ， shuō xiē bù dāng shuō de huà 。

Besides, they also learn to be idle, going about from house to house. Not only idle, but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not.

所以我願意年輕的寡婦嫁人，生養兒女，治理家務，不給敵人辱罵的把柄。

suǒ yǐ wǒ yuàn yì nián qīng de guǎ fù jià rén ， shēng yǎng ér nǚ ， zhì lǐ jiā wù ， bù gěi dí rén rǔ mà de bǎ bǐng 。

I desire therefore that the younger widows marry, bear children, rule the household, and give no occasion to the adversary for insulting.

因為已經有轉去隨從撒但的。

yīn wèi yǐ jīng yǒu zhuǎn qù suí cóng sā dàn de 。

For already some have turned away after Satan.

信主的婦女，若家中有寡婦，自己就當救濟她們，不可累着教會，好使教會能救濟那真無倚靠的寡婦。

xìn zhǔ de fù nǚ ， ruò jiā zhōng yǒu guǎ fù ， zì jǐ jiù dāng jiù jì tā men ， bù kě lèi zhe jiào huì ， hǎo shǐ jiào huì néng jiù jì nà zhēn wú yǐ kào de guǎ fù 。

If any man or woman who believes has widows, let them relieve them, and don’t let the assembly be burdened, that it might relieve those who are widows indeed.

那善於管理教會的長老，當以為配受加倍的敬奉；那勞苦傳道教導人的，更當如此。

nà shàn yú guǎn lǐ jiào huì de zhǎng lǎo ， dāng yǐ wèi pèi shòu jiā bèi de jìng fèng ； nà láo kǔ chuán dào jiào dǎo rén de ， gèng dāng rú cǐ 。

Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and in teaching.

因為經上說：「牛在場上踹穀的時候，不可籠住牠的嘴」；又說：「工人得工價是應當的。」

yīn wèi jīng shàng shuō ：「 niú zài chǎng shàng chuài gǔ de shí hòu ， bù kě lóng zhù tā de zuǐ 」； yòu shuō ：「 gōng rén dé gōng jià shì yīng dāng de 。」

For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle the ox when it treads out the grain.” And, “The laborer is worthy of his wages.”

控告長老的呈子，非有兩三個見證就不要收。

kòng gào zhǎng lǎo de chéng zǐ ， fēi yǒu liǎng sān gè jiàn zhèng jiù bú yào shōu 。

Don’t receive an accusation against an elder except at the word of two or three witnesses.

犯罪的人，當在眾人面前責備他，叫其餘的人也可以懼怕。

fàn zuì de rén ， dāng zài zhòng rén miàn qián zé bèi tā ， jiào qí yú de rén yě kě yǐ jù pà 。

Those who sin, reprove in the sight of all, that the rest also may be in fear.

我在上帝和基督耶穌並蒙揀選的天使面前囑咐你：要遵守這些話，不可存成見，行事也不可有偏心。

wǒ zài shén hé jī dū yē sū bìng méng jiǎn xuǎn de tiān shǐ miàn qián zhǔ fù nǐ ： yào zūn shǒu zhè xiē huà ， bù kě cún chéng jiàn ， xíng shì yě bù kě yǒu piān xīn 。

I command you in the sight of God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the chosen angels, that you observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing by partiality.

給人行按手的禮，不可急促；不要在別人的罪上有分，要保守自己清潔。

gěi rén xíng àn shǒu de lǐ ， bù kě jí cù ； bú yào zài bié rén de zuì shàng yǒu fēn ， yào bǎo shǒu zì jǐ qīng jié 。

Lay hands hastily on no one. Don’t be a participant in other people’s sins. Keep yourself pure.

因你胃口不清，屢次患病，再不要照常喝水，可以稍微用點酒。

yīn nǐ wèi kǒu bù qīng ， lǚ cì huàn bìng ， zài bú yào zhào cháng hē shuǐ ， kě yǐ shāo wēi yòng diǎn jiǔ 。

Be no longer a drinker of water only, but use a little wine for your stomach’s sake and your frequent infirmities.

有些人的罪是明顯的，如同先到審判案前；有些人的罪是隨後跟了去的。

yǒu xiē rén de zuì shì míng xiǎn de ， rú tóng xiān dào shěn pàn àn qián ； yǒu xiē rén de zuì shì suí hòu gēn le qù de 。

Some men’s sins are evident, preceding them to judgment, and some also follow later.

這樣，善行也有明顯的，那不明顯的也不能隱藏。

zhè yàng ， shàn xíng yě yǒu míng xiǎn de ， nà bù míng xiǎn de yě bù néng yǐn cáng 。

In the same way also there are good works that are obvious, and those that are otherwise can’t be hidden.
