約西亞登基的時候年八歲，在耶路撒冷作王三十一年。

yuē xī yà dēng jī de shí hòu nián bā suì ， zài yē lù sā lěng zuò wáng sān shí yī nián 。

Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty-one years in Jerusalem.

他行耶和華眼中看為正的事，效法他祖大衛所行的，不偏左右。

tā xíng yē hé huá yǎn zhōng kàn wèi zhèng de shì ， xiào fǎ tā zǔ dà wèi suǒ xíng de ， bù piān zuǒ yòu 。

He did that which was right in the LORD’s eyes, and walked in the ways of David his father, and didn’t turn away to the right hand or to the left.

他作王第八年，尚且年幼，就尋求他祖大衛的上帝。到了十二年才潔淨猶大和耶路撒冷，除掉邱壇、木偶、雕刻的像，和鑄造的像。

tā zuò wáng dì bā nián ， shàng qiě nián yòu ， jiù xún qiú tā zǔ dà wèi de shén 。 dào le shí èr nián cái jié jìng yóu dà hé yē lù sā lěng ， chú diào qiū tán 、 mù ǒu 、 diāo kè de xiàng ， hé zhù zào de xiàng 。

For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet young, he began to seek after the God of David his father; and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem from the high places, the Asherah poles, the engraved images, and the molten images.

眾人在他面前拆毀巴力的壇，砍斷壇上高高的日像，又把木偶和雕刻的像，並鑄造的像打碎成灰，撒在祭偶像人的墳上，

zhòng rén zài tā miàn qián chāi huǐ bā lì de tán ， kǎn duàn tán shàng gāo gāo de rì xiàng ， yòu bǎ mù ǒu hé diāo kè de xiàng ， bìng zhù zào de xiàng dǎ suì chéng huī ， sā zài jì ǒu xiàng rén de fén shàng ，

They broke down the altars of the Baals in his presence; and he cut down the incense altars that were on high above them. He broke the Asherah poles, the engraved images, and the molten images in pieces, made dust of them, and scattered it on the graves of those who had sacrificed to them.

將他們祭司的骸骨燒在壇上，潔淨了猶大和耶路撒冷；

jiāng tā men jì sī de hái gǔ shāo zài tán shàng ， jié jìng le yóu dà hé yē lù sā lěng ；

He burned the bones of the priests on their altars, and purged Judah and Jerusalem.

又在瑪拿西、以法蓮、西緬、拿弗他利各城，和四圍破壞之處，都這樣行；

yòu zài mǎ ná xī 、 yǐ fǎ lián 、 xī miǎn 、 ná fú tā lì gè chéng ， hé sì wéi pò huài zhī chù ， dōu zhè yàng xíng ；

He did this in the cities of Manasseh, Ephraim, and Simeon, even to Naphtali, around in their ruins.

又拆毀祭壇，把木偶和雕刻的像打碎成灰，砍斷以色列遍地所有的日像，就回耶路撒冷去了。

yòu chāi huǐ jì tán ， bǎ mù ǒu hé diāo kè de xiàng dǎ suì chéng huī ， kǎn duàn yǐ sè liè biàn dì suǒ yǒu de rì xiàng ， jiù huí yē lù sā lěng qù le 。

He broke down the altars, beat the Asherah poles and the engraved images into powder, and cut down all the incense altars throughout all the land of Israel, then returned to Jerusalem.

約西亞王十八年，淨地淨殿之後，就差遣亞薩利雅的兒子沙番、邑宰瑪西雅、約哈斯的兒子史官約亞去修理耶和華－他上帝的殿。

yuē xī yà wáng shí bā nián ， jìng dì jìng diàn zhī hòu ， jiù chāi qiǎn yà sà lì yǎ de ér zi shā fān 、 yì zǎi mǎ xī yǎ 、 yuē hā sī de ér zi shǐ guān yuē yà qù xiū lǐ yē hé huá — tā shén de diàn 。

Now in the eighteenth year of his reign, when he had purged the land and the house, he sent Shaphan the son of Azaliah, Maaseiah the governor of the city, and Joah the son of Joahaz the recorder to repair the house of the LORD his God.

他們就去見大祭司希勒家，將奉到上帝殿的銀子交給他；這銀子是看守殿門的利未人從瑪拿西、以法蓮，和一切以色列剩下的人，以及猶大、便雅憫眾人，並耶路撒冷的居民收來的。

tā men jiù qù jiàn dà jì sī xī lè jiā ， jiāng fèng dào shén diàn de yín zi jiāo gěi tā ； zhè yín zi shì kān shǒu diàn mén de lì wèi rén cóng mǎ ná xī 、 yǐ fǎ lián ， hé yí qiè yǐ sè liè shèng xià de rén ， yǐ jí yóu dà 、 biàn yǎ mǐn zhòng rén ， bìng yē lù sā lěng de jū mín shōu lái de 。

They came to Hilkiah the high priest and delivered the money that was brought into God’s house, which the Levites, the keepers of the threshold, had gathered from the hands of Manasseh, Ephraim, of all the remnant of Israel, of all Judah and Benjamin, and of the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

又將這銀子交給耶和華殿裏督工的，轉交修理耶和華殿的工匠，

yòu jiāng zhè yín zǐ jiāo gěi yē hé huá diàn lǐ dū gōng de ， zhuǎn jiāo xiū lǐ yē hé huá diàn de gōng jiàng ，

They delivered it into the hands of the workmen who had the oversight of the LORD’s house; and the workmen who labored in the LORD’s house gave it to mend and repair the house.

就是交給木匠、石匠，買鑿成的石頭和架木與棟樑，修猶大王所毀壞的殿。

jiù shì jiāo gěi mù jiàng 、 shí jiàng ， mǎi záo chéng de shí tou hé jià mù yǔ dòng liáng ， xiū yóu dà wáng suǒ huǐ huài de diàn 。

They gave it to the carpenters and to the builders to buy cut stone and timber for couplings, and to make beams for the houses which the kings of Judah had destroyed.

這些人辦事誠實，督工的是利未人米拉利的子孫雅哈、俄巴底；督催的是哥轄的子孫撒迦利亞、米書蘭；還有善於作樂的利未人。

zhè xiē rén bàn shì chéng shí ， dū gōng de shì lì wèi rén mǐ lā lì de zǐ sūn yǎ hā 、 é bā dǐ ； dū cuī de shì gē xiá de zǐ sūn sā jiā lì yà 、 mǐ shū lán ； hái yǒu shàn yú zuò lè de lì wèi rén 。

The men did the work faithfully. Their overseers were Jahath and Obadiah the Levites, of the sons of Merari; and Zechariah and Meshullam, of the sons of the Kohathites, to give direction; and others of the Levites, who were all skillful with musical instruments.

他們又監管扛抬的人，督催一切做工的。利未人中也有作書記、作司事、作守門的。

tā men yòu jiān guǎn káng tái de rén ， dū cuī yí qiè zuò gōng de 。 lì wèi rén zhōng yě yǒu zuò shū jì 、 zuò sī shì 、 zuò shǒu mén de 。

Also they were over the bearers of burdens, and directed all who did the work in every kind of service. Of the Levites, there were scribes, officials, and gatekeepers.

他們將奉到耶和華殿的銀子運出來的時候，祭司希勒家偶然得了摩西所傳耶和華的律法書。

tā men jiāng fèng dào yē hé huá diàn de yín zi yùn chū lái de shí hòu ， jì sī xī lè jiā ǒu rán dé le mó xī suǒ chuán yē hé huá de lǜ fǎ shū 。

When they brought out the money that was brought into the LORD’s house, Hilkiah the priest found the book of the LORD’s law given by Moses.

希勒家對書記沙番說：「我在耶和華殿裏得了律法書。」遂將書遞給沙番。

xī lè jiā duì shū jì shā fān shuō ：「 wǒ zài yē hé huá diàn lǐ dé le lǜ fǎ shū 。」 suì jiāng shū dì gěi shā fān 。

Hilkiah answered Shaphan the scribe, “I have found the book of the law in the LORD’s house.” So Hilkiah delivered the book to Shaphan.

沙番把書拿到王那裏，回覆王說：「凡交給僕人們辦的都辦理了。

shā fān bǎ shū ná dào wáng nà lǐ ， huí fù wáng shuō ：「 fán jiāo gěi pú rén men bàn de dōu bàn lǐ le 。

Shaphan carried the book to the king, and moreover brought back word to the king, saying, “All that was committed to your servants, they are doing.

耶和華殿裏的銀子倒出來，交給督工的和匠人的手裏了。」

yē hé huá diàn lǐ de yín zi dǎo chū lái ， jiāo gěi dū gōng de hé jiàng rén de shǒu lǐ le 。」

They have emptied out the money that was found in the LORD’s house, and have delivered it into the hand of the overseers and into the hand of the workmen.”

書記沙番又對王說：「祭司希勒家遞給我一卷書。」沙番就在王面前讀那書。

shū jì shā fān yòu duì wáng shuō ：「 jì sī xī lè jiā dì gěi wǒ yí juàn shū 。」 shā fān jiù zài wáng miàn qián dú nà shū 。

Shaphan the scribe told the king, saying, “Hilkiah the priest has delivered me a book.” Shaphan read from it to the king.

王聽見律法上的話，就撕裂衣服，

wáng tīng jiàn lǜ fǎ shàng de huà ， jiù sī liè yī fu ，

When the king had heard the words of the law, he tore his clothes.

吩咐希勒家與沙番的兒子亞希甘、米迦的兒子亞比頓、書記沙番，和王的臣僕亞撒雅說：

fēn fù xī lè jiā yǔ shā fān de ér zi yà xī gān 、 mǐ jiā de ér zi yà bǐ dùn 、 shū jì shā fān ， hé wáng de chén pú yà sā yǎ shuō ：

The king commanded Hilkiah, Ahikam the son of Shaphan, Abdon the son of Micah, Shaphan the scribe, and Asaiah the king’s servant, saying,

「你們去為我、為以色列和猶大剩下的人，以這書上的話求問耶和華；因我們列祖沒有遵守耶和華的言語，沒有照這書上所記的去行，耶和華的烈怒就倒在我們身上。」

「 nǐ men qù wèi wǒ 、 wèi yǐ sè liè hé yóu dà shèng xià de rén ， yǐ zhè shū shàng de huà qiú wèn yē hé huá ； yīn wǒ men liè zǔ méi yǒu zūn shǒu yē hé huá de yán yǔ ， méi yǒu zhào zhè shū shàng suǒ jì de qù xíng ， yē hé huá de liè nù jiù dǎo zài wǒ men shēn shàng 。」

“Go inquire of the LORD for me, and for those who are left in Israel and in Judah, concerning the words of the book that is found; for great is the LORD’s wrath that is poured out on us, because our fathers have not kept the LORD’s word, to do according to all that is written in this book.”

於是，希勒家和王所派的眾人都去見女先知戶勒大。戶勒大是掌管禮服沙龍的妻，沙龍是哈斯拉的孫子、特瓦的兒子。戶勒大住在耶路撒冷第二區；他們請問於她。

yú shì ， xī lè jiā hé wáng suǒ pài de zhòng rén dōu qù jiàn nǚ xiān zhī hù lè dà 。 hù lè dà shì zhǎng guǎn lǐ fú shā lóng de qī ， shā lóng shì hā sī lā de sūn zi 、 tè wǎ de ér zi 。 hù lè dà zhù zài yē lù sā lěng dì èr qū ； tā men qǐng wèn yú tā 。

So Hilkiah and those whom the king had commanded went to Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tokhath, the son of Hasrah, keeper of the wardrobe (now she lived in Jerusalem in the second quarter), and they spoke to her to that effect.

她對他們說：「耶和華－以色列的上帝如此說：『你們可以回覆那差遣你們來見我的人說，

tā duì tā men shuō ：「 yē hé huá — yǐ sè liè de shén rú cǐ shuō ：『 nǐ men kě yǐ huí fù nà chāi qiǎn nǐ men lái jiàn wǒ de rén shuō ，

She said to them, “The LORD, the God of Israel says: ‘Tell the man who sent you to me,

耶和華如此說：我必照着在猶大王面前所讀那書上的一切咒詛，降禍與這地和其上的居民；

yē hé huá rú cǐ shuō ： wǒ bì zhào zhe zài yóu dà wáng miàn qián suǒ dú nà shū shàng de yí qiè zhòu zǔ ， jiàng huò yǔ zhè dì hé qí shàng de jū mín ；

“The LORD says, ‘Behold, I will bring evil on this place and on its inhabitants, even all the curses that are written in the book which they have read before the king of Judah.

因為他們離棄我，向別神燒香，用他們手所做的惹我發怒，所以我的忿怒如火倒在這地上，總不熄滅。』

yīn wèi tā men lí qì wǒ ， xiàng bié shén shāo xiāng ， yòng tā men shǒu suǒ zuò de rě wǒ fā nù ， suǒ yǐ wǒ de fèn nù rú huǒ dǎo zài zhè dì shàng ， zǒng bù xī miè 。』

Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense to other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands, therefore my wrath is poured out on this place, and it will not be quenched.’”’

然而差遣你們來求問耶和華的猶大王，你們要這樣回覆他說：『耶和華－以色列的上帝如此說：至於你所聽見的話，

rán ér chà qiǎn nǐ men lái qiú wèn yē hé huá de yóu dà wáng ， nǐ men yào zhè yàng huí fù tā shuō ：『 yē hé huá — yǐ sè liè de shén rú cǐ shuō ： zhì yú nǐ suǒ tīng jiàn de huà ，

But to the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire of the LORD, you shall tell him this, ‘The LORD, the God of Israel says: “About the words which you have heard,

就是聽見我指着這地和其上居民所說的話，你便心裏敬服，在我面前自卑，撕裂衣服，向我哭泣，因此我應允了你。這是我－耶和華說的。

jiù shì tīng jiàn wǒ zhǐ zhe zhè dì hé qí shàng jū mín suǒ shuō de huà ， nǐ biàn xīn lǐ jìng fú ， zài wǒ miàn qián zì bēi ， sī liè yī fú ， xiàng wǒ kū qì ， yīn cǐ wǒ yīng yǔn le nǐ 。 zhè shì wǒ — yē hé huá shuō de 。

because your heart was tender, and you humbled yourself before God when you heard his words against this place and against its inhabitants, and have humbled yourself before me, and have torn your clothes and wept before me, I also have heard you,” says the LORD.

我必使你平平安安地歸到墳墓，到你列祖那裏，我要降與這地和其上居民的一切災禍，你也不致親眼看見。』」他們就回覆王去了。

wǒ bì shǐ nǐ píng píng ān ān dì guī dào fén mù ， dào nǐ liè zǔ nà lǐ ， wǒ yào jiàng yǔ zhè dì hé qí shàng jū mín de yí qiè zāi huò ， nǐ yě bú zhì qīn yǎn kàn jiàn 。』」 tā men jiù huí fù wáng qù le 。

“Behold, I will gather you to your fathers, and you will be gathered to your grave in peace. Your eyes won’t see all the evil that I will bring on this place and on its inhabitants.”’” They brought back this message to the king.

王差遣人招聚猶大和耶路撒冷的眾長老來。

wáng chāi qiǎn rén zhāo jù yóu dà hé yē lù sā lěng de zhòng zhǎng lǎo lái 。

Then the king sent and gathered together all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem.

王和猶大眾人，與耶路撒冷的居民，並祭司利未人，以及所有的百姓，無論大小，都一同上到耶和華的殿；王就把殿裏所得的約書念給他們聽。

wáng hé yóu dà zhòng rén ， yǔ yē lù sā lěng de jū mín ， bìng jì sī lì wèi rén ， yǐ jí suǒ yǒu de bǎi xìng ， wú lùn dà xiǎo ， dōu yì tóng shàng dào yē hé huá de diàn ； wáng jiù bǎ diàn lǐ suǒ dé de yuē shū niàn gěi tā men tīng 。

The king went up to the LORD’s house with all the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem—the priests, the Levites, and all the people, both great and small—and he read in their hearing all the words of the book of the covenant that was found in the LORD’s house.

王站在他的地位上，在耶和華面前立約，要盡心盡性地順從耶和華，遵守他的誡命、法度、律例，成就這書上所記的約言；

wáng zhàn zài tā de dì wèi shàng ， zài yē hé huá miàn qián lì yuē ， yào jìn xīn jìn xìng dì shùn cóng yē hé huá ， zūn shǒu tā de jiè mìng 、 fǎ dù 、 lǜ lì ， chéng jiù zhè shū shàng suǒ jì de yuē yán ；

The king stood in his place and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments, his testimonies, and his statutes with all his heart and with all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant that were written in this book.

又使住耶路撒冷和便雅憫的人都服從這約。於是耶路撒冷的居民都遵行他們列祖之上帝的約。

yòu shǐ zhù yē lù sā lěng hé biàn yǎ mǐn de rén dōu fú cóng zhè yuē 。 yú shì yē lù sā lěng de jū mín dōu zūn xíng tā men liè zǔ zhī shén de yuē 。

He caused all who were found in Jerusalem and Benjamin to stand. The inhabitants of Jerusalem did according to the covenant of God, the God of their fathers.

約西亞從以色列各處將一切可憎之物盡都除掉，使以色列境內的人都事奉耶和華－他們的上帝。約西亞在世的日子，就跟從耶和華－他們列祖的上帝，總不離開。

yuē xī yà cóng yǐ sè liè gè chù jiāng yí qiè kě zēng zhī wù jìn dōu chú diào ， shǐ yǐ sè liè jìng nèi de rén dōu shì fèng yē hé huá — tā men de shén 。 yuē xī yà zài shì de rì zi ， jiù gēn cóng yē hé huá — tā men liè zǔ de shén ， zǒng bù lí kāi 。

Josiah took away all the abominations out of all the countries that belonged to the children of Israel, and made all who were found in Israel to serve, even to serve the LORD their God. All his days they didn’t depart from following the LORD, the God of their fathers.
