以色列王以拉的兒子何細亞第三年，猶大王亞哈斯的兒子希西家登基。

yǐ sè liè wáng yǐ lā de ér zi hé xì yà dì sān nián ， yóu dà wáng yà hā sī de ér zi xī xī jiā dēng jī 。

Now in the third year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, Hezekiah the son of Ahaz king of Judah began to reign.

他登基的時候年二十五歲，在耶路撒冷作王二十九年。他母親名叫亞比，是撒迦利雅的女兒。

tā dēng jī de shí hòu nián èr shí wǔ suì ， zài yē lù sā lěng zuò wáng èr shí jiǔ nián 。 tā mǔ qīn míng jiào yà bǐ ， shì sā jiā lì yǎ de nǚ ér 。

He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Abi the daughter of Zechariah.

希西家行耶和華眼中看為正的事，效法他祖大衛一切所行的。

xī xī jiā xíng yē hé huá yǎn zhōng kàn wèi zhèng de shì ， xiào fǎ tā zǔ dà wèi yí qiè suǒ xíng de 。

He did that which was right in the LORD’s eyes, according to all that David his father had done.

他廢去邱壇，毀壞柱像，砍下木偶，打碎摩西所造的銅蛇，因為到那時以色列人仍向銅蛇燒香。希西家叫銅蛇為銅塊 。

tā fèi qù qiū tán ， huǐ huài zhù xiàng ， kǎn xià mù ǒu ， dǎ suì mó xī suǒ zào de tóng shé ， yīn wèi dào nà shí yǐ sè liè rén réng xiàng tóng shé shāo xiāng 。 xī xī jiā jiào tóng shé wèi tóng kuài 。

He removed the high places, broke the pillars, and cut down the Asherah. He also broke in pieces the bronze serpent that Moses had made, because in those days the children of Israel burned incense to it; and he called it Nehushtan.

希西家倚靠耶和華－以色列的上帝，在他前後的猶大列王中沒有一個及他的。

xī xī jiā yǐ kào yē hé huá — yǐ sè liè de shén ， zài tā qián hòu de yóu dà liè wáng zhōng méi yǒu yí gè jí tā de 。

He trusted in the LORD, the God of Israel, so that after him was no one like him among all the kings of Judah, nor among them that were before him.

因為他專靠耶和華，總不離開，謹守耶和華所吩咐摩西的誡命。

yīn wèi tā zhuān kào yē hé huá ， zǒng bù lí kāi ， jǐn shǒu yē hé huá suǒ fēn fù mó xī de jiè mìng 。

For he joined with the LORD. He didn’t depart from following him, but kept his commandments, which the LORD commanded Moses.

耶和華與他同在，他無論往何處去盡都亨通。他背叛、不肯事奉亞述王。

yē hé huá yǔ tā tóng zài ， tā wú lùn wǎng hé chù qù jìn dōu hēng tōng 。 tā bèi pàn 、 bù kěn shì fèng yà shù wáng 。

The LORD was with him. Wherever he went, he prospered. He rebelled against the king of Assyria, and didn’t serve him.

希西家攻擊非利士人，直到迦薩，並迦薩的四境，從瞭望樓到堅固城。

xī xī jiā gōng jī fēi lì shì rén ， zhí dào jiā sà ， bìng jiā sà de sì jìng ， cóng le wàng lóu dào jiān gù chéng 。

He struck the Philistines to Gaza and its borders, from the tower of the watchmen to the fortified city.

希西家王第四年，就是以色列王以拉的兒子何細亞第七年，亞述王撒縵以色上來圍困撒馬利亞；

xī xī jiā wáng dì sì nián ， jiù shì yǐ sè liè wáng yǐ lā de ér zǐ hé xì yà dì qī nián ， yà shù wáng sā màn yǐ sè shàng lái wéi kùn sā mǎ lì yà ；

In the fourth year of King Hezekiah, which was the seventh year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, Shalmaneser king of Assyria came up against Samaria and besieged it.

過了三年就攻取了城。希西家第六年，以色列王何細亞第九年，撒馬利亞被攻取了。

guò le sān nián jiù gōng qǔ le chéng 。 xī xī jiā dì liù nián ， yǐ sè liè wáng hé xì yà dì jiǔ nián ， sā mǎ lì yà bèi gōng qǔ le 。

At the end of three years they took it. In the sixth year of Hezekiah, which was the ninth year of Hoshea king of Israel, Samaria was taken.

亞述王將以色列人擄到亞述，把他們安置在哈臘與歌散的哈博河邊，並米底亞人的城邑；

yà shù wáng jiāng yǐ sè liè rén lǔ dào yà shù ， bǎ tā men ān zhì zài hā là yǔ gē sàn de hā bó hé biān ， bìng mǐ dǐ yà rén de chéng yì ；

The king of Assyria carried Israel away to Assyria, and put them in Halah, and on the Habor, the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes,

都因他們不聽從耶和華－他們上帝的話，違背他的約，就是耶和華僕人摩西吩咐他們所當守的。

dōu yīn tā men bù tīng cóng yē hé huá — tā men shén de huà ， wéi bèi tā de yuē ， jiù shì yē hé huá pú rén mó xī fēn fù tā men suǒ dāng shǒu de 。

because they didn’t obey the LORD their God’s voice, but transgressed his covenant, even all that Moses the servant of the LORD commanded, and would not hear it or do it.

希西家王十四年，亞述王西拿基立上來攻擊猶大的一切堅固城，將城攻取。

xī xī jiā wáng shí sì nián ， yà shù wáng xī ná jī lì shàng lái gōng jī yóu dà de yí qiè jiān gù chéng ， jiāng chéng gōng qǔ 。

Now in the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah, Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the fortified cities of Judah and took them.

猶大王希西家差人往拉吉去見亞述王，說：「我有罪了，求你離開我；凡你罰我的，我必承當。」於是亞述王罰猶大王希西家銀子三百他連得，金子三十他連得。

yóu dà wáng xī xī jiā chà rén wǎng lā jí qù jiàn yà shù wáng ， shuō ：「 wǒ yǒu zuì le ， qiú nǐ lí kāi wǒ ； fán nǐ fá wǒ de ， wǒ bì chéng dāng 。」 yú shì yà shù wáng fá yóu dà wáng xī xī jiā yín zi sān bǎi tā lián dé ， jīn zǐ sān shí tā lián dé 。

Hezekiah king of Judah sent to the king of Assyria at Lachish, saying, “I have offended you. Withdraw from me. That which you put on me, I will bear.” The king of Assyria appointed to Hezekiah king of Judah three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold.

希西家就把耶和華殿裏和王宮府庫裏所有的銀子都給了他。

xī xī jiā jiù bǎ yē hé huá diàn lǐ hé wáng gōng fǔ kù lǐ suǒ yǒu de yín zi dōu gěi le tā 。

Hezekiah gave him all the silver that was found in the LORD’s house and in the treasures of the king’s house.

那時，猶大王希西家將耶和華殿門上的金子和他自己包在柱上的金子都刮下來，給了亞述王。

nà shí ， yóu dà wáng xī xī jiā jiāng yē hé huá diàn mén shàng de jīn zǐ hé tā zì jǐ bāo zài zhù shàng de jīn zǐ dōu guā xià lái ， gěi le yà shù wáng 。

At that time, Hezekiah cut off the gold from the doors of the LORD’s temple, and from the pillars which Hezekiah king of Judah had overlaid, and gave it to the king of Assyria.

亞述王從拉吉差遣他珥探、拉伯撒利，和拉伯沙基率領大軍往耶路撒冷，到希西家王那裏去。他們上到耶路撒冷，就站在上池的水溝旁，在漂布地的大路上。

yà shù wáng cóng lā jí chāi qiǎn tā ěr tàn 、 lā bó sā lì ， hé lā bó shā jī shuài lǐng dà jūn wǎng yē lù sā lěng ， dào xī xī jiā wáng nà lǐ qù 。 tā men shàng dào yē lù sā lěng ， jiù zhàn zài shàng chí de shuǐ gōu páng ， zài piāo bù dì de dà lù shang 。

The king of Assyria sent Tartan, Rabsaris, and Rabshakeh from Lachish to King Hezekiah with a great army to Jerusalem. They went up and came to Jerusalem. When they had come up, they came and stood by the conduit of the upper pool, which is in the highway of the fuller’s field.

他們呼叫王的時候，就有希勒家的兒子家宰以利亞敬，並書記舍伯那和亞薩的兒子史官約亞，出來見他們。

tā men hū jiào wáng de shí hòu ， jiù yǒu xī lè jiā de ér zi jiā zǎi yǐ lì yà jìng ， bìng shū jì shè bó nà hé yà sà de ér zi shǐ guān yuē yà ， chū lái jiàn tā men 。

When they had called to the king, Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, who was over the household, and Shebnah the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder came out to them.

拉伯沙基說：「你們去告訴希西家說，亞述大王如此說：『你所倚靠的有甚麼可仗賴的呢？

lā bó shā jī shuō ：「 nǐ men qù gào sù xī xī jiā shuō ， yà shù dà wáng rú cǐ shuō ：『 nǐ suǒ yǐ kào de yǒu shén me kě zhàng lài de ne ？

Rabshakeh said to them, “Say now to Hezekiah, ‘The great king, the king of Assyria, says, “What confidence is this in which you trust?

你說有打仗的計謀和能力，我看不過是虛話。你到底倚靠誰才背叛我呢？

nǐ shuō yǒu dǎ zhàng de jì móu hé néng lì ， wǒ kàn bú guò shì xū huà 。 nǐ dào dǐ yǐ kào shuí cái bèi pàn wǒ ne ？

You say (but they are but vain words), ‘There is counsel and strength for war.’ Now on whom do you trust, that you have rebelled against me?

看哪，你所倚靠的埃及是那壓傷的葦杖；人若靠這杖，就必刺透他的手。埃及王法老向一切倚靠他的人也是這樣。

kàn nǎ ， nǐ suǒ yǐ kào de āi jí shì nà yā shāng de wěi zhàng ； rén ruò kào zhè zhàng ， jiù bì cì tòu tā de shǒu 。 āi jí wáng fǎ lǎo xiàng yí qiè yǐ kào tā de rén yě shì zhè yàng 。

Now, behold, you trust in the staff of this bruised reed, even in Egypt. If a man leans on it, it will go into his hand and pierce it. So is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all who trust on him.

你們若對我說：我們倚靠耶和華－我們的上帝，希西家豈不是將上帝的邱壇和祭壇廢去，且對猶大和耶路撒冷的人說：你們當在耶路撒冷這壇前敬拜嗎？

nǐ men ruò duì wǒ shuō ： wǒ men yǐ kào yē hé huá — wǒ men de shén ， xī xī jiā qǐ bú shì jiāng shén de qiū tán hé jì tán fèi qù ， qiě duì yóu dà hé yē lù sā lěng de rén shuō ： nǐ men dāng zài yē lù sā lěng zhè tán qián jìng bài ma ？

But if you tell me, ‘We trust in the LORD our God,’ isn’t that he whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah has taken away, and has said to Judah and to Jerusalem, ‘You shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem’?

現在你把當頭給我主亞述王，我給你二千匹馬，看你這一面騎馬的人夠不夠。

xiàn zài nǐ bǎ dāng tóu gěi wǒ zhǔ yà shù wáng ， wǒ gěi nǐ èr qiān pǐ mǎ ， kàn nǐ zhè yí miàn qí mǎ de rén gòu bu gòu 。

Now therefore, please give pledges to my master the king of Assyria, and I will give you two thousand horses if you are able on your part to set riders on them.

若不然，怎能打敗我主臣僕中最小的軍長呢？你竟倚靠埃及的戰車馬兵嗎？

ruò bù rán ， zěn néng dǎ bài wǒ zhǔ chén pú zhōng zuì xiǎo de jūn zhǎng ne ？ nǐ jìng yǐ kào āi jí de zhàn chē mǎ bīng ma ？

How then can you turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master’s servants, and put your trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen?

現在我上來攻擊毀滅這地，豈沒有耶和華的意思嗎？耶和華吩咐我說：你上去攻擊毀滅這地吧！』」

xiàn zài wǒ shàng lái gōng jī huǐ miè zhè dì ， qǐ méi yǒu yē hé huá de yì sī ma ？ yē hé huá fēn fù wǒ shuō ： nǐ shàng qù gōng jī huǐ miè zhè dì ba ！』」

Have I now come up without the LORD against this place to destroy it? The LORD said to me, ‘Go up against this land, and destroy it.’”’”

希勒家的兒子以利亞敬和舍伯那，並約亞，對拉伯沙基說：「求你用亞蘭言語和僕人說話，因為我們懂得；不要用猶大言語和我們說話，達到城上百姓的耳中。」

xī lè jiā de ér zi yǐ lì yà jìng hé shè bó nà ， bìng yuē yà ， duì lā bó shā jī shuō ：「 qiú nǐ yòng yà lán yán yǔ hé pú rén shuō huà ， yīn wèi wǒ men dǒng de ； bú yào yòng yóu dà yán yǔ hé wǒ men shuō huà ， dá dào chéng shàng bǎi xìng de ěr zhōng 。」

Then Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, Shebnah, and Joah, said to Rabshakeh, “Please speak to your servants in the Syrian language, for we understand it. Don’t speak with us in the Jews’ language, in the hearing of the people who are on the wall.”

拉伯沙基說：「我主差遣我來，豈是單對你和你的主說這些話嗎？不也是對這些坐在城上、要與你們一同吃自己糞、喝自己尿的人說嗎？」

lā bó shā jī shuō ：「 wǒ zhǔ chāi qiǎn wǒ lái ， qǐ shì dān duì nǐ hé nǐ de zhǔ shuō zhè xiē huà ma ？ bù yě shì duì zhè xiē zuò zài chéng shàng 、 yào yǔ nǐ men yì tóng chī zì jǐ fèn 、 hē zì jǐ niào de rén shuō ma ？」

But Rabshakeh said to them, “Has my master sent me to your master and to you, to speak these words? Hasn’t he sent me to the men who sit on the wall, to eat their own dung, and to drink their own urine with you?”

於是拉伯沙基站着，用猶大言語大聲喊着說：「你們當聽亞述大王的話！

yú shì lā bó shā jī zhàn zhe ， yòng yóu dà yán yǔ dà shēng hǎn zhe shuō ：「 nǐ men dāng tīng yà shù dà wáng de huà ！

Then Rabshakeh stood and cried with a loud voice in the Jews’ language, and spoke, saying, “Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria.

王如此說：『你們不要被希西家欺哄了；因他不能救你們脫離我的手。

wáng rú cǐ shuō ：『 nǐ men bú yào bèi xī xī jiā qī hǒng le ； yīn tā bù néng jiù nǐ men tuō lí wǒ de shǒu 。

The king says, ‘Don’t let Hezekiah deceive you, for he will not be able to deliver you out of his hand.

也不要聽希西家使你們倚靠耶和華，說耶和華必要拯救我們，這城必不交在亞述王的手中。』

yě bú yào tīng xī xī jiā shǐ nǐ men yǐ kào yē hé huá ， shuō yē hé huá bì yào zhěng jiù wǒ men ， zhè chéng bì bù jiāo zài yà shù wáng de shǒu zhōng 。』

Don’t let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, “The LORD will surely deliver us, and this city shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.”

不要聽希西家的話！因亞述王如此說：『你們要與我和好，出來投降我，各人就可以吃自己葡萄樹和無花果樹的果子，喝自己井裏的水。

bú yào tīng xī xī jiā de huà ！ yīn yà shù wáng rú cǐ shuō ：『 nǐ men yào yǔ wǒ hé hǎo ， chū lái tóu xiáng wǒ ， gè rén jiù kě yǐ chī zì jǐ pú táo shù hé wú huā guǒ shù de guǒ zǐ ， hē zì jǐ jǐng lǐ de shuǐ 。

Don’t listen to Hezekiah.’ For the king of Assyria says, ‘Make your peace with me, and come out to me; and everyone of you eat from his own vine, and everyone from his own fig tree, and everyone drink water from his own cistern;

等我來領你們到一個地方與你們本地一樣，就是有五穀和新酒之地，有糧食和葡萄園之地，有橄欖樹和蜂蜜之地，好使你們存活，不至於死。希西家勸導你們，說耶和華必拯救我們；你們不要聽他的話。

děng wǒ lái lǐng nǐ men dào yí gè dì fāng yǔ nǐ men běn dì yí yàng ， jiù shì yǒu wǔ gǔ hé xīn jiǔ zhī dì ， yǒu liáng shí hé pú táo yuán zhī dì ， yǒu gǎn lǎn shù hé fēng mì zhī dì ， hǎo shǐ nǐ men cún huó ， bú zhì yú sǐ 。 xī xī jiā quàn dǎo nǐ men ， shuō yē hé huá bì zhěng jiù wǒ men ； nǐ men bú yào tīng tā de huà 。

until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of olive trees and of honey, that you may live and not die. Don’t listen to Hezekiah when he persuades you, saying, “The LORD will deliver us.”

列國的神有哪一個救他本國脫離亞述王的手呢？

liè guó de shén yǒu nǎ yí gè jiù tā běn guó tuō lí yà shù wáng de shǒu ne ？

Has any of the gods of the nations ever delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?

哈馬、亞珥拔的神在哪裏呢？西法瓦音、希拿、以瓦的神在哪裏呢？他們曾救撒馬利亞脫離我的手嗎？

hā mǎ 、 yà ěr bá de shén zài nǎ lǐ ne ？ xī fǎ wǎ yīn 、 xī ná 、 yǐ wǎ de shén zài nǎ lǐ ne ？ tā men céng jiù sā mǎ lì yà tuō lí wǒ de shǒu ma ？

Where are the gods of Hamath and of Arpad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim, of Hena, and Ivvah? Have they delivered Samaria out of my hand?

這些國的神有誰曾救自己的國脫離我的手呢？難道耶和華能救耶路撒冷脫離我的手嗎？』」

zhè xiē guó de shén yǒu shuí céng jiù zì jǐ de guó tuō lí wǒ de shǒu ne ？ nán dào yē hé huá néng jiù yē lù sā lěng tuō lí wǒ de shǒu ma ？』」

Who are they among all the gods of the countries, that have delivered their country out of my hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?’”

百姓靜默不言，並不回答一句，因為王曾吩咐說：「不要回答他。」

bǎi xìng jìng mò bù yán ， bìng bù huí dá yí jù ， yīn wèi wáng céng fēn fù shuō ：「 bú yào huí dá tā 。」

But the people stayed quiet, and answered him not a word; for the king’s commandment was, “Don’t answer him.”

當下，希勒家的兒子家宰以利亞敬和書記舍伯那，並亞薩的兒子史官約亞，都撕裂衣服，來到希西家那裏，將拉伯沙基的話告訴了他。

dāng xià ， xī lè jiā de ér zi jiā zǎi yǐ lì yà jìng hé shū jì shè bó nà ， bìng yà sà de ér zi shǐ guān yuē yà ， dōu sī liè yī fu ， lái dào xī xī jiā nà lǐ ， jiāng lā bó shā jī de huà gào sù le tā 。

Then Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, who was over the household, came with Shebna the scribe and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder to Hezekiah with their clothes torn, and told him Rabshakeh’s words.
