希西家王聽見，就撕裂衣服，披上麻布，進了耶和華的殿；

xī xī jiā wáng tīng jiàn ， jiù sī liè yī fu ， pī shàng má bù ， jìn le yē hé huá de diàn ；

When King Hezekiah heard it, he tore his clothes, covered himself with sackcloth, and went into the LORD’s house.

使家宰以利亞敬和書記舍伯那，並祭司中的長老，都披上麻布，去見亞摩斯的兒子先知以賽亞，

shǐ jiā zǎi yǐ lì yà jìng hé shū jì shè bó nà ， bìng jì sī zhōng de zhǎng lǎo ， dōu pī shàng má bù ， qù jiàn yà mó sī de ér zi xiān zhī yǐ sài yà ，

He sent Eliakim, who was over the household, Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.

對他說：「希西家如此說：『今日是急難、責罰、凌辱的日子，就如婦人將要生產嬰孩，卻沒有力量生產。

duì tā shuō ：「 xī xī jiā rú cǐ shuō ：『 jīn rì shì jí nán 、 zé fá 、 líng rǔ de rì zi ， jiù rú fù rén jiāng yào shēng chǎn yīng hái ， què méi yǒu lì liàng shēng chǎn 。

They said to him, “Hezekiah says, ‘Today is a day of trouble, of rebuke, and of rejection; for the children have come to the point of birth, and there is no strength to deliver them.

或者耶和華－你的上帝聽見拉伯沙基的一切話，就是他主人亞述王打發他來辱罵永生上帝的話，耶和華－你的上帝聽見這話，就發斥責。故此，求你為餘剩的民揚聲禱告。』」

huò zhě yē hé huá — nǐ de shén tīng jiàn lā bó shā jī de yí qiè huà ， jiù shì tā zhǔ rén yà shù wáng dǎ fā tā lái rǔ mà yǒng shēng shén de huà ， yē hé huá — nǐ de shén tīng jiàn zhè huà ， jiù fā chì zé 。 gù cǐ ， qiú nǐ wèi yú shèng de mín yáng shēng dǎo gào 。』」

It may be the LORD your God will hear all the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master has sent to defy the living God, and will rebuke the words which the LORD your God has heard. Therefore lift up your prayer for the remnant that is left.’”

希西家王的臣僕就去見以賽亞。

xī xī jiā wáng de chén pú jiù qù jiàn yǐ sài yà 。

So the servants of King Hezekiah came to Isaiah.

以賽亞對他們說：「要這樣對你們的主人說，耶和華如此說：『你聽見亞述王的僕人褻瀆我的話，不要懼怕。

yǐ sài yà duì tā men shuō ：「 yào zhè yàng duì nǐ men de zhǔ rén shuō ， yē hé huá rú cǐ shuō ：『 nǐ tīng jiàn yà shù wáng de pú rén xiè dú wǒ de huà ， bú yào jù pà 。

Isaiah said to them, “Tell your master this: ‘The LORD says, “Don’t be afraid of the words that you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.

我必驚動 他的心，他要聽見風聲就歸回本地。我必使他在那裏倒在刀下。』」

wǒ bì jīng dòng tā de xīn ， tā yào tīng jiàn fēng shēng jiù guī huí běn dì 。 wǒ bì shǐ tā zài nà lǐ dǎo zài dāo xià 。』」

Behold, I will put a spirit in him, and he will hear news, and will return to his own land. I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.”’”

拉伯沙基回去，正遇見亞述王攻打立拿，原來他早聽見亞述王拔營離開拉吉。

lā bó shā jī huí qù ， zhèng yù jiàn yà shù wáng gōng dǎ lì ná ， yuán lái tā zǎo tīng jiàn yà shù wáng bá yíng lí kāi lā jí 。

So Rabshakeh returned and found the king of Assyria warring against Libnah; for he had heard that he had departed from Lachish.

亞述王聽見人論古實王特哈加說：「他出來要與你爭戰。」於是亞述王又打發使者去見希西家，吩咐他們說：

yà shù wáng tīng jiàn rén lùn gǔ shí wáng tè hā jiā shuō ：「 tā chū lái yào yǔ nǐ zhēng zhàn 。」 yú shì yà shù wáng yòu dǎ fā shǐ zhě qù jiàn xī xī jiā ， fēn fù tā men shuō ：

When he heard it said of Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, “Behold, he has come out to fight against you,” he sent messengers again to Hezekiah, saying,

「你們對猶大王希西家如此說：『不要聽你所倚靠的上帝欺哄你，說耶路撒冷必不交在亞述王的手中。

「 nǐ men duì yóu dà wáng xī xī jiā rú cǐ shuō ：『 bú yào tīng nǐ suǒ yǐ kào de shén qī hǒng nǐ ， shuō yē lù sā lěng bì bù jiāo zài yà shù wáng de shǒu zhōng 。

“Tell Hezekiah king of Judah this: ‘Don’t let your God in whom you trust deceive you, saying, Jerusalem will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.

你總聽說亞述諸王向列國所行的，乃是盡行滅絕，難道你還能得救嗎？

nǐ zǒng tīng shuō yà shù zhū wáng xiàng liè guó suǒ xíng de ， nǎi shì jìn xíng miè jué ， nán dào nǐ hái néng dé jiù ma ？

Behold, you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands, by destroying them utterly. Will you be delivered?

我列祖所毀滅的，就是歌散、哈蘭、利色，和屬提‧拉撒的伊甸人，這些國的神何曾拯救這些國呢？

wǒ liè zǔ suǒ huǐ miè de ， jiù shì gē sàn 、 hā lán 、 lì sè ， hé shǔ tí · lā sā de yī diàn rén ， zhè xiē guó de shén hé céng zhěng jiù zhè xiē guó ne ？

Have the gods of the nations delivered them, which my fathers have destroyed—Gozan, Haran, Rezeph, and the children of Eden who were in Telassar?

哈馬的王、亞珥拔的王、西法瓦音城的王、希拿，和以瓦的王都在哪裏呢？』」

hā mǎ de wáng 、 yà ěr bá de wáng 、 xī fǎ wǎ yīn chéng de wáng 、 xī ná ， hé yǐ wǎ de wáng dū zài nǎ lǐ ne ？』」

Where is the king of Hamath, the king of Arpad, and the king of the city of Sepharvaim, of Hena, and Ivvah?’”

希西家從使者手裏接過書信來，看完了，就上耶和華的殿，將書信在耶和華面前展開。

xī xī jiā cóng shǐ zhě shǒu lǐ jiē guò shū xìn lái ， kàn wán le ， jiù shàng yē hé huá de diàn ， jiāng shū xìn zài yē hé huá miàn qián zhǎn kāi 。

Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers and read it. Then Hezekiah went up to the LORD’s house, and spread it before the LORD.

希西家向耶和華禱告說：「坐在二基路伯上耶和華－以色列的上帝啊，你是天下萬國的上帝，你曾創造天地。

xī xī jiā xiàng yē hé huá dǎo gào shuō ：「 zuò zài èr jī lù bó shàng yē hé huá — yǐ sè liè de shén a ， nǐ shì tiān xià wàn guó de shén ， nǐ céng chuàng zào tiān dì 。

Hezekiah prayed before the LORD, and said, “LORD, the God of Israel, who are enthroned above the cherubim, you are the God, even you alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.

耶和華啊，求你側耳而聽！耶和華啊，求你睜眼而看！要聽西拿基立打發使者來辱罵永生上帝的話。

yē hé huá a ， qiú nǐ cè ěr ér tīng ！ yē hé huá a ， qiú nǐ zhēng yǎn ér kàn ！ yào tīng xī ná jī lì dǎ fā shǐ zhě lái rǔ mà yǒng shēng shén de huà 。

Incline your ear, LORD, and hear. Open your eyes, LORD, and see. Hear the words of Sennacherib, which he has sent to defy the living God.

耶和華啊，亞述諸王果然使列國和列國之地變為荒涼，

yē hé huá a ， yà shù zhū wáng guǒ rán shǐ liè guó hé liè guó zhī dì biàn wèi huāng liáng ，

Truly, LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste the nations and their lands,

將列國的神像都扔在火裏；因為它本不是神，乃是人手所造的，是木頭石頭的，所以滅絕它。

jiāng liè guó de shén xiàng dōu rēng zài huǒ lǐ ； yīn wèi tā běn bú shì shén ， nǎi shì rén shǒu suǒ zào de ， shì mù tou shí tou de ， suǒ yǐ miè jué tā 。

and have cast their gods into the fire; for they were no gods, but the work of men’s hands, wood and stone. Therefore they have destroyed them.

耶和華－我們的上帝啊，現在求你救我們脫離亞述王的手，使天下萬國都知道惟獨你－耶和華是上帝！」

yē hé huá — wǒ men de shén a ， xiàn zài qiú nǐ jiù wǒ men tuō lí yà shù wáng de shǒu ， shǐ tiān xià wàn guó dōu zhī dào wéi dú nǐ — yē hé huá shì shén ！」

Now therefore, LORD our God, save us, I beg you, out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you, LORD, are God alone.”

亞摩斯的兒子以賽亞就打發人去見希西家，說：「耶和華－以色列的上帝如此說：『你既然求我攻擊亞述王西拿基立，我已聽見了。』

yà mó sī de ér zi yǐ sài yà jiù dǎ fā rén qù jiàn xī xī jiā ， shuō ：「 yē hé huá — yǐ sè liè de shén rú cǐ shuō ：『 nǐ jì rán qiú wǒ gōng jī yà shù wáng xī ná jī lì ， wǒ yǐ tīng jiàn le 。』

Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, “The LORD, the God of Israel, says ‘You have prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria, and I have heard you.

耶和華論他這樣說： 錫安的處女藐視你，嗤笑你； 耶路撒冷的女子向你搖頭。

yē hé huá lùn tā zhè yàng shuō ： xī ān de chǔ nǚ miǎo shì nǐ ， chī xiào nǐ ； yē lù sā lěng de nǚ zǐ xiàng nǐ yáo tóu 。

This is the word that the LORD has spoken concerning him: ‘The virgin daughter of Zion has despised you and ridiculed you. The daughter of Jerusalem has shaken her head at you.

你辱罵誰？褻瀆誰？ 揚起聲來，高舉眼目攻擊誰呢？ 乃是攻擊以色列的聖者！

nǐ rǔ mà shuí ？ xiè dú shuí ？ yáng qǐ shēng lái ， gāo jǔ yǎn mù gōng jī shuí ne ？ nǎi shì gōng jī yǐ sè liè de shèng zhě ！

Whom have you defied and blasphemed? Against whom have you exalted your voice and lifted up your eyes on high? Against the Holy One of Israel!

你藉你的使者辱罵主， 並說：我率領許多戰車上山頂， 到黎巴嫩極深之處； 我要砍伐其中高大的香柏樹和佳美的松樹； 我必上極高之處，進入肥田的樹林。

nǐ jiè nǐ de shǐ zhě rǔ mà zhǔ ， bìng shuō ： wǒ shuài lǐng xǔ duō zhàn chē shàng shān dǐng ， dào lí bā nèn jí shēn zhī chù ； wǒ yào kǎn fá qí zhōng gāo dà de xiāng bǎi shù hé jiā měi de sōng shù ； wǒ bì shàng jí gāo zhī chù ， jìn rù féi tián de shù lín 。

By your messengers, you have defied the Lord, and have said, “With the multitude of my chariots, I have come up to the height of the mountains, to the innermost parts of Lebanon, and I will cut down its tall cedars and its choice cypress trees; and I will enter into his farthest lodging place, the forest of his fruitful field.

我已經在外邦挖井喝水； 我必用腳掌踏乾埃及的一切河。

wǒ yǐ jīng zài wài bāng wā jǐng hē shuǐ ； wǒ bì yòng jiǎo zhǎng tà gān āi jí de yí qiè hé 。

I have dug and drunk strange waters, and I will dry up all the rivers of Egypt with the sole of my feet.”

耶和華說，我早先所做的， 古時所立的，就是現在藉你 使堅固城荒廢，變為亂堆， 這事你豈沒有聽見嗎？

yē hé huá shuō ， wǒ zǎo xiān suǒ zuò de ， gǔ shí suǒ lì de ， jiù shì xiàn zài jiè nǐ shǐ jiān gù chéng huāng fèi ， biàn wèi luàn duī ， zhè shì nǐ qǐ méi yǒu tīng jiàn ma ？

Haven’t you heard how I have done it long ago, and formed it of ancient times? Now I have brought it to pass, that it should be yours to lay waste fortified cities into ruinous heaps.

所以其中的居民力量甚小， 驚惶羞愧。 他們像野草，像青菜， 如房頂上的草， 又如未長成而枯乾的禾稼。

suǒ yǐ qí zhōng de jū mín lì liàng shèn xiǎo ， jīng huáng xiū kuì 。 tā men xiàng yě cǎo ， xiàng qīng cài ， rú fáng dǐng shàng de cǎo ， yòu rú wèi cháng chéng ér kū gān de hé jià 。

Therefore their inhabitants had little power. They were dismayed and confounded. They were like the grass of the field and like the green herb, like the grass on the housetops and like grain blasted before it has grown up.

你坐下，你出去，你進來， 你向我發烈怒，我都知道。

nǐ zuò xià ， nǐ chū qù ， nǐ jìn lái ， nǐ xiàng wǒ fā liè nù ， wǒ dōu zhī dào 。

But I know your sitting down, your going out, your coming in, and your raging against me.

因你向我發烈怒， 又因你狂傲的話達到我耳中， 我就要用鉤子鉤上你的鼻子， 把嚼環放在你口裏， 使你從你來的路轉回去。

yīn nǐ xiàng wǒ fā liè nù ， yòu yīn nǐ kuáng ào de huà dá dào wǒ ěr zhōng ， wǒ jiù yào yòng gōu zǐ gōu shàng nǐ de bí zǐ ， bǎ jiáo huán fàng zài nǐ kǒu lǐ ， shǐ nǐ cóng nǐ lái de lù zhuǎn huí qù 。

Because of your raging against me, and because your arrogance has come up into my ears, therefore I will put my hook in your nose, and my bridle in your lips, and I will turn you back by the way by which you came.’

「以色列人哪，我賜你們一個證據：你們今年要吃自生的，明年也要吃自長的；至於後年，你們要耕種收割，栽植葡萄園，吃其中的果子。

「 yǐ sè liè rén nǎ ， wǒ cì nǐ men yí gè zhèng jù ： nǐ men jīn nián yào chī zì shēng de ， míng nián yě yào chī zì cháng de ； zhì yú hòu nián ， nǐ men yào gēng zhòng shōu gē ， zāi zhí pú táo yuán ， chī qí zhōng de guǒ zǐ 。

“This will be the sign to you: This year, you will eat that which grows of itself, and in the second year that which springs from that; and in the third year sow and reap, and plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

猶大家所逃脫餘剩的，仍要往下扎根，向上結果。

yóu dà jiā suǒ táo tuō yú shèng de ， réng yào wǎng xià zhā gēn ， xiàng shàng jié guǒ 。

The remnant that has escaped of the house of Judah will again take root downward, and bear fruit upward.

必有餘剩的民從耶路撒冷而出；必有逃脫的人從錫安山而來。耶和華的熱心必成就這事。

bì yǒu yú shèng de mín cóng yē lù sā lěng ér chū ； bì yǒu táo tuō de rén cóng xī ān shān ér lái 。 yē hé huá de rè xīn bì chéng jiù zhè shì 。

For out of Jerusalem a remnant will go out, and out of Mount Zion those who shall escape. The LORD’s zeal will perform this.

「所以，耶和華論亞述王如此說：『他必不得來到這城，也不在這裏射箭，不得拿盾牌到城前，也不築壘攻城。

「 suǒ yǐ ， yē hé huá lùn yà shù wáng rú cǐ shuō ：『 tā bì bù dé lái dào zhè chéng ， yě bú zài zhè lǐ shè jiàn ， bù dé ná dùn pái dào chéng qián ， yě bú zhù lěi gōng chéng 。

“Therefore the LORD says concerning the king of Assyria, ‘He will not come to this city, nor shoot an arrow there. He will not come before it with shield, nor cast up a mound against it.

他從哪條路來，必從那條路回去，必不得來到這城。這是耶和華說的。

tā cóng nǎ tiáo lù lái ， bì cóng nà tiáo lù huí qù ， bì bù dé lái dào zhè chéng 。 zhè shì yē hé huá shuō de 。

He will return the same way that he came, and he will not come to this city,’ says the LORD.

因我為自己的緣故，又為我僕人大衛的緣故，必保護拯救這城。』」

yīn wǒ wèi zì jǐ de yuán gù ， yòu wèi wǒ pú rén dà wèi de yuán gù ， bì bǎo hù zhěng jiù zhè chéng 。』」

‘For I will defend this city to save it, for my own sake and for my servant David’s sake.’”

當夜，耶和華的使者出去，在亞述營中殺了十八萬五千人。清早有人起來，一看，都是死屍了。

dāng yè ， yē hé huá de shǐ zhě chū qù ， zài yà shù yíng zhōng shā le shí bā wàn wǔ qiān rén 。 qīng zǎo yǒu rén qǐ lái ， yí kàn ， dōu shì sǐ shī le 。

That night, the LORD’s angel went out and struck one hundred eighty-five thousand in the camp of the Assyrians. When men arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies.

亞述王西拿基立就拔營回去，住在尼尼微。

yà shù wáng xī ná jī lì jiù bá yíng huí qù ， zhù zài ní ní wēi 。

So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, went home, and lived at Nineveh.

一日在他的神尼斯洛廟裏叩拜，他兒子亞得米勒和沙利色用刀殺了他，就逃到亞拉臘地。他兒子以撒哈頓接續他作王。

yí rì zài tā de shén ní sī luò miào lǐ kòu bài ， tā ér zi yà dé mǐ lè hé shā lì sè yòng dāo shā le tā ， jiù táo dào yà lā là dì 。 tā ér zi yǐ sā hā dùn jiē xù tā zuò wáng 。

As he was worshiping in the house of Nisroch his god, Adrammelech and Sharezer struck him with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Ararat. Esar Haddon his son reigned in his place.
