約西亞登基的時候年八歲，在耶路撒冷作王三十一年。他母親名叫耶底大，是波斯加人亞大雅的女兒。

yuē xī yà dēng jī de shí hòu nián bā suì ， zài yē lù sā lěng zuò wáng sān shí yì nián 。 tā mǔ qīn míng jiào yē dǐ dà ， shì bō sī jiā rén yà dà yǎ de nǚ ér 。

Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty-one years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jedidah the daughter of Adaiah of Bozkath.

約西亞行耶和華眼中看為正的事，行他祖大衛一切所行的，不偏左右。

yuē xī yà xíng yē hé huá yǎn zhōng kàn wèi zhèng de shì ， xíng tā zǔ dà wèi yí qiè suǒ xíng de ， bù piān zuǒ yòu 。

He did that which was right in the LORD’s eyes, and walked in all the ways of David his father, and didn’t turn away to the right hand or to the left.

約西亞王十八年，王差遣米書蘭的孫子、亞薩利的兒子－書記沙番上耶和華殿去，吩咐他說：

yuē xī yà wáng shí bā nián ， wáng chāi qiǎn mǐ shū lán de sūn zǐ 、 yà sà lì de ér zi — shū jì shā fān shàng yē hé huá diàn qù ， fēn fù tā shuō ：

In the eighteenth year of King Josiah, the king sent Shaphan, the son of Azaliah the son of Meshullam, the scribe, to the LORD’s house, saying,

「你去見大祭司希勒家，使他將奉到耶和華殿的銀子，就是守門的從民中收聚的銀子，數算數算，

「 nǐ qù jiàn dà jì sī xī lè jiā ， shǐ tā jiāng fèng dào yē hé huá diàn de yín zi ， jiù shì shǒu mén de cóng mín zhōng shōu jù de yín zi ， shù suàn shù suàn ，

“Go up to Hilkiah the high priest, that he may count the money which is brought into the LORD’s house, which the keepers of the threshold have gathered of the people.

交給耶和華殿裏辦事的人，使他們轉交耶和華殿裏做工的人，好修理殿的破壞之處，

jiāo gěi yē hé huá diàn lǐ bàn shì de rén ， shǐ tā men zhuǎn jiāo yē hé huá diàn lǐ zuò gōng de rén ， hǎo xiū lǐ diàn de pò huài zhī chù ，

Let them deliver it into the hand of the workers who have the oversight of the LORD’s house; and let them give it to the workers who are in the LORD’s house, to repair the damage to the house,

就是轉交木匠和工人，並瓦匠，又買木料和鑿成的石頭修理殿宇，

jiù shì zhuǎn jiāo mù jiàng hé gōng rén ， bìng wǎ jiàng ， yòu mǎi mù liào hé záo chéng de shí tou xiū lǐ diàn yǔ ，

to the carpenters, and to the builders, and to the masons, and for buying timber and cut stone to repair the house.

將銀子交在辦事的人手裏，不與他們算帳，因為他們辦事誠實。」

jiāng yín zi jiāo zài bàn shì de rén shǒu lǐ ， bù yǔ tā men suàn zhàng ， yīn wèi tā men bàn shì chéng shí 。」

However, no accounting shall be asked of them for the money delivered into their hand, for they deal faithfully.”

大祭司希勒家對書記沙番說：「我在耶和華殿裏得了律法書。」希勒家將書遞給沙番，沙番就看了。

dà jì sī xī lè jiā duì shū jì shā fān shuō ：「 wǒ zài yē hé huá diàn lǐ dé le lǜ fǎ shū 。」 xī lè jiā jiāng shū dì gěi shā fān ， shā fān jiù kàn le 。

Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the scribe, “I have found the book of the law in the LORD’s house.” Hilkiah delivered the book to Shaphan, and he read it.

書記沙番到王那裏，回覆王說：「你的僕人已將殿裏的銀子倒出數算，交給耶和華殿裏辦事的人了。」

shū jì shā fān dào wáng nà lǐ ， huí fù wáng shuō ：「 nǐ de pú rén yǐ jiāng diàn lǐ de yín zi dǎo chū shù suàn ， jiāo gěi yē hé huá diàn lǐ bàn shì de rén le 。」

Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again, and said, “Your servants have emptied out the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hands of the workmen who have the oversight of the LORD’s house.”

書記沙番又對王說：「祭司希勒家遞給我一卷書。」沙番就在王面前讀那書。

shū jì shā fān yòu duì wáng shuō ：「 jì sī xī lè jiā dì gěi wǒ yí juàn shū 。」 shā fān jiù zài wáng miàn qián dú nà shū 。

Shaphan the scribe told the king, saying, “Hilkiah the priest has delivered a book to me.” Then Shaphan read it before the king.

王聽見律法書上的話，便撕裂衣服，

wáng tīng jiàn lǜ fǎ shū shàng de huà ， biàn sī liè yī fu ，

When the king had heard the words of the book of the law, he tore his clothes.

吩咐祭司希勒家與沙番的兒子亞希甘、米該亞的兒子亞革波、書記沙番和王的臣僕亞撒雅，說：

fēn fù jì sī xī lè jiā yǔ shā fān de ér zi yà xī gān 、 mǐ gāi yà de ér zi yà gé bō 、 shū jì shā fān hé wáng de chén pú yà sā yǎ ， shuō ：

The king commanded Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam the son of Shaphan, Achbor the son of Micaiah, Shaphan the scribe, and Asaiah the king’s servant, saying,

「你們去為我、為民、為猶大眾人，以這書上的話求問耶和華；因為我們列祖沒有聽從這書上的言語，沒有遵着書上所吩咐我們的去行，耶和華就向我們大發烈怒。」

「 nǐ men qù wèi wǒ 、 wèi mín 、 wèi yóu dà zhòng rén ， yǐ zhè shū shàng de huà qiú wèn yē hé huá ； yīn wèi wǒ men liè zǔ méi yǒu tīng cóng zhè shū shàng de yán yǔ ， méi yǒu zūn zhe shū shàng suǒ fēn fù wǒ men de qù xíng ， yē hé huá jiù xiàng wǒ men dà fā liè nù 。」

“Go inquire of the LORD for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found; for great is the LORD’s wrath that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not listened to the words of this book, to do according to all that which is written concerning us.”

於是，祭司希勒家和亞希甘、亞革波、沙番、亞撒雅都去見女先知戶勒大。戶勒大是掌管禮服沙龍的妻；沙龍是哈珥哈斯的孫子、特瓦的兒子。戶勒大住在耶路撒冷第二區。他們請問於她。

yú shì ， jì sī xī lè jiā hé yà xī gān 、 yà gé bō 、 shā fān 、 yà sā yǎ dōu qù jiàn nǚ xiān zhī hù lè dà 。 hù lè dà shì zhǎng guǎn lǐ fú shā lóng de qī ； shā lóng shì hā ěr hā sī de sūn zi 、 tè wǎ de ér zi 。 hù lè dà zhù zài yē lù sā lěng dì èr qū 。 tā men qǐng wèn yú tā 。

So Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam, Achbor, Shaphan, and Asaiah went to Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe (now she lived in Jerusalem in the second quarter); and they talked with her.

她對他們說：「耶和華－以色列的上帝如此說：『你們可以回覆那差遣你們來見我的人說，

tā duì tā men shuō ：「 yē hé huá — yǐ sè liè de shén rú cǐ shuō ：『 nǐ men kě yǐ huí fù nà chāi qiǎn nǐ men lái jiàn wǒ de rén shuō ，

She said to them, “The LORD the God of Israel says, ‘Tell the man who sent you to me,

耶和華如此說：我必照着猶大王所讀那書上的一切話，降禍與這地和其上的居民。

yē hé huá rú cǐ shuō ： wǒ bì zhào zhe yóu dà wáng suǒ dú nà shū shàng de yí qiè huà ， jiàng huò yǔ zhè dì hé qí shàng de jū mín 。

“The LORD says, ‘Behold, I will bring evil on this place and on its inhabitants, even all the words of the book which the king of Judah has read.

因為他們離棄我，向別神燒香，用他們手所做的惹我發怒，所以我的忿怒必向這地發作，總不止息。』

yīn wèi tā men lí qì wǒ ， xiàng bié shén shāo xiāng ， yòng tā men shǒu suǒ zuò de rě wǒ fā nù ， suǒ yǐ wǒ de fèn nù bì xiàng zhè dì fā zuò ， zǒng bù zhǐ xī 。』

Because they have forsaken me and have burned incense to other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the work of their hands, therefore my wrath shall be kindled against this place, and it will not be quenched.’”

然而，差遣你們來求問耶和華的猶大王，你們要這樣回覆他說：『耶和華－以色列的上帝如此說：至於你所聽見的話，

rán ér ， chà qiǎn nǐ men lái qiú wèn yē hé huá de yóu dà wáng ， nǐ men yào zhè yàng huí fù tā shuō ：『 yē hé huá — yǐ sè liè de shén rú cǐ shuō ： zhì yú nǐ suǒ tīng jiàn de huà ，

But to the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire of the LORD, tell him, “The LORD the God of Israel says, ‘Concerning the words which you have heard,

就是聽見我指着這地和其上的居民所說、要使這地變為荒場、民受咒詛的話，你便心裏敬服，在我面前自卑，撕裂衣服，向我哭泣，因此我應允了你。這是我－耶和華說的。

jiù shì tīng jiàn wǒ zhǐ zhe zhè dì hé qí shàng de jū mín suǒ shuō 、 yào shǐ zhè dì biàn wèi huāng chǎng 、 mín shòu zhòu zǔ de huà ， nǐ biàn xīn lǐ jìng fú ， zài wǒ miàn qián zì bēi ， sī liè yī fú ， xiàng wǒ kū qì ， yīn cǐ wǒ yīng yǔn le nǐ 。 zhè shì wǒ — yē hé huá shuō de 。

because your heart was tender, and you humbled yourself before the LORD when you heard what I spoke against this place and against its inhabitants, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and have torn your clothes and wept before me, I also have heard you,’ says the LORD.

我必使你平平安安地歸到墳墓到你列祖那裏；我要降與這地的一切災禍，你也不致親眼看見。』」他們就回覆王去了。

wǒ bì shǐ nǐ píng píng ān ān dì guī dào fén mù dào nǐ liè zǔ nà lǐ ； wǒ yào jiàng yǔ zhè dì de yí qiè zāi huò ， nǐ yě bú zhì qīn yǎn kàn jiàn 。』」 tā men jiù huí fù wáng qù le 。

‘Therefore behold, I will gather you to your fathers, and you will be gathered to your grave in peace. Your eyes will not see all the evil which I will bring on this place.’”’” So they brought this message back to the king.
