有人告訴約押說：「王為押沙龍哭泣悲哀。」
yǒu rén gào sù yuē yā shuō ：「 wáng wèi yā shā lóng kū qì bēi āi 。」
Joab was told, “Behold, the king weeps and mourns for Absalom.”
眾民聽說王為他兒子憂愁，他們得勝的歡樂卻變成悲哀。
zhòng mín tīng shuō wáng wèi tā ér zi yōu chóu ， tā men dé shèng de huān lè què biàn chéng bēi āi 。
The victory that day was turned into mourning among all the people, for the people heard it said that day, “The king grieves for his son.”
那日眾民暗暗地進城，就如敗陣逃跑、慚愧的民一般。
nà rì zhòng mín àn àn dì jìn chéng ， jiù rú bài zhèn táo pǎo 、 cán kuì de mín yì bān 。
The people sneaked into the city that day, as people who are ashamed steal away when they flee in battle.
王蒙着臉，大聲哭號說：「我兒押沙龍啊！押沙龍，我兒，我兒啊！」
wáng méng zhe liǎn ， dà shēng kū hào shuō ：「 wǒ ér yā shā lóng a ！ yā shā lóng ， wǒ ér ， wǒ ér a ！」
The king covered his face, and the king cried with a loud voice, “My son Absalom, Absalom, my son, my son!”
約押進去見王，說：「你今日使你一切僕人臉面慚愧了！他們今日救了你的性命和你兒女妻妾的性命，
yuē yā jìn qù jiàn wáng ， shuō ：「 nǐ jīn rì shǐ nǐ yí qiè pú rén liǎn miàn cán kuì le ！ tā men jīn rì jiù le nǐ de xìng mìng hé nǐ ér nǚ qī qiè de xìng mìng ，
Joab came into the house to the king, and said, “Today you have shamed the faces of all your servants who today have saved your life, and the lives of your sons and of your daughters, and the lives of your wives, and the lives of your concubines;
你卻愛那恨你的人，恨那愛你的人。你今日明明地不以將帥、僕人為念。我今日看明，若押沙龍活着，我們都死亡，你就喜悅了。
nǐ què ài nà hèn nǐ de rén ， hèn nà ài nǐ de rén 。 nǐ jīn rì míng míng dì bù yǐ jiàng shuài 、 pú rén wéi niàn 。 wǒ jīn rì kàn míng ， ruò yā shā lóng huó zhe ， wǒ men dōu sǐ wáng ， nǐ jiù xǐ yuè le 。
in that you love those who hate you and hate those who love you. For you have declared today that princes and servants are nothing to you. For today I perceive that if Absalom had lived and we had all died today, then it would have pleased you well.
現在你當出去，安慰你僕人的心。我指着耶和華起誓：你若不出去，今夜必無一人與你同在一處；這禍患就比你從幼年到如今所遭的更甚！」
xiàn zài nǐ dāng chū qù ， ān wèi nǐ pú rén de xīn 。 wǒ zhǐ zhe yē hé huá qǐ shì ： nǐ ruò bù chū qù ， jīn yè bì wú yì rén yǔ nǐ tóng zài yí chù ； zhè huò huàn jiù bǐ nǐ cóng yòu nián dào rú jīn suǒ zāo de gèng shèn ！」
Now therefore arise, go out and speak to comfort your servants; for I swear by the LORD, if you don’t go out, not a man will stay with you this night. That would be worse to you than all the evil that has happened to you from your youth until now.”
於是王起來，坐在城門口。眾民聽說王坐在城門口，就都到王面前。 大衛回耶路撒冷 以色列人已經逃跑，各回各家去了。
yú shì wáng qǐ lái ， zuò zài chéng mén kǒu 。 zhòng mín tīng shuō wáng zuò zài chéng mén kǒu ， jiù dōu dào wáng miàn qián 。 dà wèi huí yē lù sā lěng yǐ sè liè rén yǐ jīng táo pǎo ， gè huí gè jiā qù le 。
Then the king arose and sat in the gate. The people were all told, “Behold, the king is sitting in the gate.” All the people came before the king. Now Israel had fled every man to his tent.
以色列眾支派的人紛紛議論說：「王曾救我們脫離仇敵的手，又救我們脫離非利士人的手，現在他躲避押沙龍逃走了。
yǐ sè liè zhòng zhī pài de rén fēn fēn yì lùn shuō ：「 wáng céng jiù wǒ men tuō lí chóu dí de shǒu ， yòu jiù wǒ men tuō lí fēi lì shì rén de shǒu ， xiàn zài tā duǒ bì yā shā lóng táo zǒu le 。
All the people were at strife throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, “The king delivered us out of the hand of our enemies, and he saved us out of the hand of the Philistines; and now he has fled out of the land from Absalom.
我們膏押沙龍治理我們，他已經陣亡。現在為甚麼不出一言請王回來呢？」
wǒ men gāo yā shā lóng zhì lǐ wǒ men ， tā yǐ jīng zhèn wáng 。 xiàn zài wèi shén me bù chū yì yán qǐng wáng huí lái ne ？」
Absalom, whom we anointed over us, is dead in battle. Now therefore why don’t you speak a word of bringing the king back?”
大衛王差人去見祭司撒督和亞比亞他，說：「你們當向猶大長老說：『以色列眾人已經有話請王回宮，你們為甚麼落在他們後頭呢？
dà wèi wáng chà rén qù jiàn jì sī sā dū hé yà bǐ yà tā ， shuō ：「 nǐ men dāng xiàng yóu dà zhǎng lǎo shuō ：『 yǐ sè liè zhòng rén yǐ jīng yǒu huà qǐng wáng huí gōng ， nǐ men wèi shén me luò zài tā men hòu tou ne ？
King David sent to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, saying, “Speak to the elders of Judah, saying, ‘Why are you the last to bring the king back to his house, since the speech of all Israel has come to the king, to return him to his house?
你們是我的弟兄，是我的骨肉，為甚麼在人後頭請王回來呢？』
nǐ men shì wǒ de dì xiong ， shì wǒ de gǔ ròu ， wèi shén me zài rén hòu tou qǐng wáng huí lái ne ？』
You are my brothers. You are my bone and my flesh. Why then are you the last to bring back the king?’
也要對亞瑪撒說：『你不是我的骨肉嗎？我若不立你替約押常作元帥，願上帝重重地降罰與我！』」
yě yào duì yà mǎ sā shuō ：『 nǐ bú shì wǒ de gǔ ròu ma ？ wǒ ruò bú lì nǐ tì yuē yā cháng zuò yuán shuài ， yuàn shén chóng chóng dì jiàng fá yǔ wǒ ！』」
Say to Amasa, ‘Aren’t you my bone and my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if you aren’t captain of the army before me continually instead of Joab.’”
如此就挽回猶大眾人的心，如同一人的心。他們便打發人去見王，說：「請王和王的一切臣僕回來。」
rú cǐ jiù wǎn huí yóu dà zhòng rén de xīn ， rú tóng yì rén de xīn 。 tā men biàn dǎ fā rén qù jiàn wáng ， shuō ：「 qǐng wáng hé wáng de yí qiè chén pú huí lái 。」
He bowed the heart of all the men of Judah, even as one man, so that they sent to the king, saying, “Return, you and all your servants.”
王就回來，到了約旦河。猶大人來到吉甲，要去迎接王，請他過約旦河。
wáng jiù huí lái ， dào le yuē dàn hé 。 yóu dà rén lái dào jí jiǎ ， yào qù yíng jiē wáng ， qǐng tā guò yuē dàn hé 。
So the king returned, and came to the Jordan. Judah came to Gilgal, to go to meet the king, to bring the king over the Jordan.
巴戶琳的便雅憫人、基拉的兒子示每急忙與猶大人一同下去迎接大衛王。
bā hù lín de biàn yǎ mǐn rén 、 jī lā de ér zi shì měi jí máng yǔ yóu dà rén yì tóng xià qù yíng jiē dà wèi wáng 。
Shimei the son of Gera, the Benjamite, who was of Bahurim, hurried and came down with the men of Judah to meet King David.
跟從示每的有一千便雅憫人，還有掃羅家的僕人洗巴和他十五個兒子，二十個僕人；他們都詵過約旦河迎接王。
gēn cóng shì měi de yǒu yì qiān biàn yǎ mǐn rén ， hái yǒu sǎo luó jiā de pú rén xǐ bā hé tā shí wǔ gè ér zi ， èr shí gè pú rén ； tā men dōu tàng guò yuē dàn hé yíng jiē wáng 。
There were a thousand men of Benjamin with him, and Ziba the servant of Saul’s house, and his fifteen sons and his twenty servants with him; and they went through the Jordan in the presence of the king.
有擺渡船過去，渡王的家眷，任王使用。 大衛寬恕示每 王要過約旦河的時候，基拉的兒子示每就俯伏在王面前，
yǒu bǎi dù chuán guò qù ， dù wáng de jiā juàn ， rèn wáng shǐ yòng 。 dà wèi kuān shù shì měi wáng yào guò yuē dàn hé de shí hòu ， jī lā de ér zi shì měi jiù fǔ fú zài wáng miàn qián ，
A ferry boat went to bring over the king’s household, and to do what he thought good. Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king when he had come over the Jordan.
對王說：「我主我王出耶路撒冷的時候，僕人行悖逆的事，現在求我主不要因此加罪與僕人，不要記念，也不要放在心上。
duì wáng shuō ：「 wǒ zhǔ wǒ wáng chū yē lù sā lěng de shí hòu ， pú rén xíng bèi nì de shì ， xiàn zài qiú wǒ zhǔ bú yào yīn cǐ jiā zuì yǔ pú rén ， bú yào jì niàn ， yě bú yào fàng zài xīn shàng 。
He said to the king, “Don’t let my lord impute iniquity to me, or remember that which your servant did perversely the day that my lord the king went out of Jerusalem, that the king should take it to his heart.
僕人明知自己有罪，所以約瑟全家之中，今日我首先下來迎接我主我王。」
pú rén míng zhī zì jǐ yǒu zuì ， suǒ yǐ yuē sè quán jiā zhī zhōng ， jīn rì wǒ shǒu xiān xià lái yíng jiē wǒ zhǔ wǒ wáng 。」
For your servant knows that I have sinned. Therefore behold, I have come today as the first of all the house of Joseph to go down to meet my lord the king.”
洗魯雅的兒子亞比篩說：「示每既咒罵耶和華的受膏者，不應當治死他嗎？」
xǐ lǔ yǎ de ér zi yà bǐ shāi shuō ：「 shì měi jì zhòu mà yē hé huá de shòu gāo zhě ， bú yīng dāng zhì sǐ tā ma ？」
But Abishai the son of Zeruiah answered, “Shouldn’t Shimei be put to death for this, because he cursed the LORD’s anointed?”
大衛說：「洗魯雅的兒子，我與你們有何關涉，使你們今日與我反對呢？今日在以色列中豈可治死人呢？我豈不知今日我作以色列的王嗎？」
dà wèi shuō ：「 xǐ lǔ yǎ de ér zi ， wǒ yǔ nǐ men yǒu hé guān shè ， shǐ nǐ men jīn rì yǔ wǒ fǎn duì ne ？ jīn rì zài yǐ sè liè zhōng qǐ kě zhì sǐ rén ne ？ wǒ qǐ bù zhī jīn rì wǒ zuò yǐ sè liè de wáng ma ？」
David said, “What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah, that you should be adversaries to me today? Shall any man be put to death today in Israel? For don’t I know that I am king over Israel today?”
於是王對示每說：「你必不死。」王就向他起誓。
yú shì wáng duì shì měi shuō ：「 nǐ bì bù sǐ 。」 wáng jiù xiàng tā qǐ shì 。
The king said to Shimei, “You will not die.” The king swore to him.
掃羅的孫子米非波設也下去迎接王。他自從王去的日子，直到王平平安安地回來，沒有修腳，沒有剃鬍鬚，也沒有洗衣服。
sǎo luó de sūn zǐ mǐ fēi bō shè yě xià qù yíng jiē wáng 。 tā zì cóng wáng qù de rì zi ， zhí dào wáng píng píng ān ān dì huí lái ， méi yǒu xiū jiǎo ， méi yǒu tì hú xū ， yě méi yǒu xǐ yī fu 。
Mephibosheth the son of Saul came down to meet the king; and he had neither groomed his feet, nor trimmed his beard, nor washed his clothes, from the day the king departed until the day he came home in peace.
他來到耶路撒冷迎接王的時候，王問他說：「米非波設，你為甚麼沒有與我同去呢？」
tā lái dào yē lù sā lěng yíng jiē wáng de shí hòu ， wáng wèn tā shuō ：「 mǐ fēi bō shè ， nǐ wèi shén me méi yǒu yǔ wǒ tóng qù ne ？」
When he had come to Jerusalem to meet the king, the king said to him, “Why didn’t you go with me, Mephibosheth?”
他回答說：「我主我王，僕人是瘸腿的。那日我想要備驢騎上，與王同去，無奈我的僕人欺哄了我，
tā huí dá shuō ：「 wǒ zhǔ wǒ wáng ， pú rén shì qué tuǐ de 。 nà rì wǒ xiǎng yào bèi lǘ qí shàng ， yǔ wáng tóng qù ， wú nài wǒ de pú rén qī hǒng le wǒ ，
He answered, “My lord, O king, my servant deceived me. For your servant said, ‘I will saddle a donkey for myself, that I may ride on it and go with the king,’ because your servant is lame.
又在我主我王面前讒毀我。然而我主我王如同上帝的使者一般，你看怎樣好，就怎樣行吧！
yòu zài wǒ zhǔ wǒ wáng miàn qián chán huǐ wǒ 。 rán ér wǒ zhǔ wǒ wáng rú tóng shén de shǐ zhě yì bān ， nǐ kàn zěn yàng hǎo ， jiù zěn yàng xíng ba ！
He has slandered your servant to my lord the king, but my lord the king is as an angel of God. Therefore do what is good in your eyes.
因為我祖全家的人，在我主我王面前都算為死人，王卻使僕人在王的席上同人吃飯，我現在向王還能辨理訴冤嗎？」
yīn wèi wǒ zǔ quán jiā de rén ， zài wǒ zhǔ wǒ wáng miàn qián dōu suàn wèi sǐ rén ， wáng què shǐ pú rén zài wáng de xí shàng tóng rén chī fàn ， wǒ xiàn zài xiàng wáng hái néng biàn lǐ sù yuān ma ？」
For all my father’s house were but dead men before my lord the king; yet you set your servant among those who ate at your own table. What right therefore have I yet that I should appeal any more to the king?”
王對他說：「你何必再提你的事呢？我說，你與洗巴均分地土。」
wáng duì tā shuō ：「 nǐ hé bì zài tí nǐ de shì ne ？ wǒ shuō ， nǐ yǔ xǐ bā jūn fēn dì tǔ 。」
The king said to him, “Why do you speak any more of your matters? I say, you and Ziba divide the land.”
米非波設對王說：「我主我王既平平安安地回宮，就任憑洗巴都取了也可以。」
mǐ fēi bō shè duì wáng shuō ：「 wǒ zhǔ wǒ wáng jì píng píng ān ān dì huí gōng ， jiù rèn píng xǐ bā dōu qǔ le yě kě yǐ 。」
Mephibosheth said to the king, “Yes, let him take all, because my lord the king has come in peace to his own house.”
基列人巴西萊從羅基琳下來，要送王過約旦河，就與王一同過了約旦河。
jī liè rén bā xī lái cóng luó jī lín xià lái ， yào sòng wáng guò yuē dàn hé ， jiù yǔ wáng yì tóng guò le yuē dàn hé 。
Barzillai the Gileadite came down from Rogelim; and he went over the Jordan with the king to conduct him over the Jordan.
巴西萊年紀老邁，已經八十歲了。王住在瑪哈念的時候，他就拿食物來供給王；他原是大富戶。
bā xī lái nián jì lǎo mài ， yǐ jīng bā shí suì le 。 wáng zhù zài mǎ hā niàn de shí hòu ， tā jiù ná shí wù lái gōng jǐ wáng ； tā yuán shì dà fù hù 。
Now Barzillai was a very aged man, even eighty years old. He had provided the king with sustenance while he stayed at Mahanaim, for he was a very great man.
王對巴西萊說：「你與我同去，我要在耶路撒冷那裏養你的老。」
wáng duì bā xī lái shuō ：「 nǐ yǔ wǒ tóng qù ， wǒ yào zài yē lù sā lěng nà lǐ yǎng nǐ de lǎo 。」
The king said to Barzillai, “Come over with me, and I will sustain you with me in Jerusalem.”
巴西萊對王說：「我在世的年日還能有多少，使我與王同上耶路撒冷呢？
bā xī lái duì wáng shuō ：「 wǒ zài shì de nián rì hái néng yǒu duō shǎo ， shǐ wǒ yǔ wáng tóng shàng yē lù sā lěng ne ？
Barzillai said to the king, “How many are the days of the years of my life, that I should go up with the king to Jerusalem?
僕人現在八十歲了，還能嘗出飲食的滋味、辨別美惡嗎？還能聽男女歌唱的聲音嗎？僕人何必累贅我主我王呢？
pú rén xiàn zài bā shí suì le ， hái néng cháng chū yǐn shí de zī wèi 、 biàn bié měi è ma ？ hái néng tīng nán nǚ gē chàng de shēng yīn ma ？ pú rén hé bì léi zhui wǒ zhǔ wǒ wáng ne ？
I am eighty years old, today. Can I discern between good and bad? Can your servant taste what I eat or what I drink? Can I hear the voice of singing men and singing women any more? Why then should your servant be a burden to my lord the king?
僕人只要送王過約旦河，王何必賜我這樣的恩典呢？
pú rén zhǐ yào sòng wáng guò yuē dàn hé ， wáng hé bì cì wǒ zhè yàng de ēn diǎn ne ？
Your servant will just go over the Jordan with the king. Why should the king repay me with such a reward?
求你准我回去，好死在我本城，葬在我父母的墓旁。這裏有王的僕人金罕，讓他同我主我王過去，可以隨意待他。」
qiú nǐ zhǔn wǒ huí qù ， hǎo sǐ zài wǒ běn chéng ， zàng zài wǒ fù mǔ de mù páng 。 zhè lǐ yǒu wáng de pú rén jīn hǎn ， ràng tā tóng wǒ zhǔ wǒ wáng guò qù ， kě yǐ suí yì dài tā 。」
Please let your servant turn back again, that I may die in my own city, by the grave of my father and my mother. But behold, your servant Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to him what shall seem good to you.”
王說：「金罕可以與我同去，我必照你的心願待他。你向我求甚麼，我都必為你成就。」
wáng shuō ：「 jīn hǎn kě yǐ yǔ wǒ tóng qù ， wǒ bì zhào nǐ de xīn yuàn dài tā 。 nǐ xiàng wǒ qiú shén me ， wǒ dōu bì wèi nǐ chéng jiù 。」
The king answered, “Chimham shall go over with me, and I will do to him that which shall seem good to you. Whatever you request of me, that I will do for you.”
於是眾民過約旦河，王也過去。王與巴西萊親嘴，為他祝福，巴西萊就回本地去了。
yú shì zhòng mín guò yuē dàn hé ， wáng yě guò qù 。 wáng yǔ bā xī lái qīn zuǐ ， wèi tā zhù fú ， bā xī lái jiù huí běn dì qù le 。
All the people went over the Jordan, and the king went over. Then the king kissed Barzillai and blessed him; and he returned to his own place.
王過去，到了吉甲，金罕也跟他過去。猶大眾民和以色列民的一半也都送王過去。
wáng guò qù ， dào le jí jiǎ ， jīn hǎn yě gēn tā guò qù 。 yóu dà zhòng mín hé yǐ sè liè mín de yí bàn yě dōu sòng wáng guò qù 。
So the king went over to Gilgal, and Chimham went over with him. All the people of Judah brought the king over, and also half the people of Israel.
以色列眾人來見王，對他說：「我們弟兄猶大人為甚麼暗暗送王和王的家眷，並跟隨王的人過約旦河？」
yǐ sè liè zhòng rén lái jiàn wáng ， duì tā shuō ：「 wǒ men dì xiong yóu dà rén wèi shén me àn àn sòng wáng hé wáng de jiā juàn ， bìng gēn suí wáng de rén guò yuē dàn hé ？」
Behold, all the men of Israel came to the king, and said to the king, “Why have our brothers the men of Judah stolen you away, and brought the king and his household, over the Jordan, and all David’s men with him?”
猶大眾人回答以色列人說：「因為王與我們是親屬，你們為何因這事發怒呢？我們吃了王的甚麼呢？王賞賜了我們甚麼呢？」
yóu dà zhòng rén huí dá yǐ sè liè rén shuō ：「 yīn wèi wáng yǔ wǒ men shì qīn shǔ ， nǐ men wèi hé yīn zhè shì fā nù ne ？ wǒ men chī le wáng de shén me ne ？ wáng shǎng cì le wǒ men shén me ne ？」
All the men of Judah answered the men of Israel, “Because the king is a close relative to us. Why then are you angry about this matter? Have we eaten at all at the king’s cost? Or has he given us any gift?”
以色列人回答猶大人說：「按支派，我們與王有十分的情分；在大衛身上，我們也比你們更有情分。你們為何藐視我們，請王回來不先與我們商量呢？」 但猶大人的話比以色列人的話更硬。
yǐ sè liè rén huí dá yóu dà rén shuō ：「 àn zhī pài ， wǒ men yǔ wáng yǒu shí fēn de qíng fēn ； zài dà wèi shēn shàng ， wǒ men yě bǐ nǐ men gèng yǒu qíng fēn 。 nǐ men wèi hé miǎo shì wǒ men ， qǐng wáng huí lái bù xiān yǔ wǒ men shāng liáng ne ？」 dàn yóu dà rén de huà bǐ yǐ sè liè rén de huà gèng yìng 。
The men of Israel answered the men of Judah, and said, “We have ten parts in the king, and we have also more claim to David than you. Why then did you despise us, that our advice should not be first had in bringing back our king?” The words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel.
