掃羅家和大衛家爭戰許久。大衛家日見強盛；掃羅家日見衰弱。

sǎo luó jiā hé dà wèi jiā zhēng zhàn xǔ jiǔ 。 dà wèi jiā rì jiàn qiáng shèng ； sǎo luó jiā rì jiàn shuāi ruò 。

Now there was long war between Saul’s house and David’s house. David grew stronger and stronger, but Saul’s house grew weaker and weaker.

大衛在希伯崙得了幾個兒子：長子暗嫩是耶斯列人亞希暖所生的；

dà wèi zài xī bó dé le jǐ gè ér zi ： zhǎng zǐ àn nèn shì yē sī liè rén yà xī nuǎn suǒ shēng de ；

Sons were born to David in Hebron. His firstborn was Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess;

次子基利押 是作過迦密人拿八的妻亞比該所生的；三子押沙龍是基述王達買的女兒瑪迦所生的；

cì zǐ jī lì yā shì zuò guò jiā mì rén ná bā de qī yà bǐ gāi suǒ shēng de ； sān zǐ yā shā lóng shì jī shù wáng dá mǎi de nǚ ér mǎ jiā suǒ shēng de ；

and his second, Chileab, of Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite; and the third, Absalom the son of Maacah the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur;

四子亞多尼雅是哈及所生的；五子示法提雅是亞比她所生的；

sì zǐ yà duō ní yǎ shì hā jí suǒ shēng de ； wǔ zǐ shì fǎ tí yǎ shì yà bǐ tā suǒ shēng de ；

and the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith; and the fifth, Shephatiah the son of Abital;

六子以特念是大衛的妻以格拉所生的。大衛這六個兒子都是在希伯崙生的。

liù zǐ yǐ tè niàn shì dà wèi de qī yǐ gé lā suǒ shēng de 。 dà wèi zhè liù gè ér zi dōu shì zài xī bó shēng de 。

and the sixth, Ithream, of Eglah, David’s wife. These were born to David in Hebron.

掃羅家和大衛家爭戰的時候，押尼珥在掃羅家大有權勢。

sǎo luó jiā hé dà wèi jiā zhēng zhàn de shí hòu ， yā ní ěr zài sǎo luó jiā dà yǒu quán shì 。

While there was war between Saul’s house and David’s house, Abner made himself strong in Saul’s house.

掃羅有一妃嬪，名叫利斯巴，是愛亞的女兒。一日，伊施波設對押尼珥說：「你為甚麼與我父的妃嬪同房呢？」

sǎo luó yǒu yì fēi pín ， míng jiào lì sī bā ， shì ài yà de nǚ ér 。 yí rì ， yī shī bō shè duì yā ní ěr shuō ：「 nǐ wèi shén me yǔ wǒ fù de fēi pín tóng fáng ne ？」

Now Saul had a concubine, whose name was Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah; and Ishbosheth said to Abner, “Why have you gone in to my father’s concubine?”

押尼珥因伊施波設的話就甚發怒，說：「我豈是猶大的狗頭呢？我恩待你父掃羅的家和他的弟兄、朋友，不將你交在大衛手裏，今日你竟為這婦人責備我嗎？

yā ní ěr yīn yī shī bō shè de huà jiù shèn fā nù ， shuō ：「 wǒ qǐ shì yóu dà de gǒu tóu ne ？ wǒ ēn dài nǐ fù sǎo luó de jiā hé tā de dì xiong 、 péng yǒu ， bù jiāng nǐ jiāo zài dà wèi shǒu lǐ ， jīn rì nǐ jìng wèi zhè fù rén zé bèi wǒ ma ？

Then Abner was very angry about Ishbosheth’s words, and said, “Am I a dog’s head that belongs to Judah? Today I show kindness to your father Saul’s house, to his brothers, and to his friends, and have not delivered you into the hand of David; and yet you charge me today with a fault concerning this woman!

我若不照着耶和華起誓應許大衛的話行，廢去掃羅的位，建立大衛的位，使他治理以色列和猶大，從但直到別是巴，願上帝重重地降罰與我！」

wǒ ruò bú zhào zhe yē hé huá qǐ shì yīng xǔ dà wèi de huà xíng ， fèi qù sǎo luó de wèi ， jiàn lì dà wèi de wèi ， shǐ tā zhì lǐ yǐ sè liè hé yóu dà ， cóng dàn zhí dào bié shì bā ， yuàn shén chóng chóng dì jiàng fá yǔ wǒ ！」

God do so to Abner, and more also, if, as the LORD has sworn to David, I don’t do even so to him:

to transfer the kingdom from Saul’s house, and to set up David’s throne over Israel and over Judah, from Dan even to Beersheba.”

伊施波設懼怕押尼珥，不敢回答一句。

yī shī bō shè jù pà yā ní ěr ， bù gǎn huí dá yí jù 。

He could not answer Abner another word, because he was afraid of him.

押尼珥打發人去見大衛，替他說：「這國歸誰呢？」又說：「你與我立約，我必幫助你，使以色列人都歸服你。」

yā ní ěr dǎ fā rén qù jiàn dà wèi ， tì tā shuō ：「 zhè guó guī shuí ne ？」 yòu shuō ：「 nǐ yǔ wǒ lì yuē ， wǒ bì bāng zhù nǐ ， shǐ yǐ sè liè rén dōu guī fú nǐ 。」

Abner sent messengers to David on his behalf, saying, “Whose is the land?” and saying, “Make your alliance with me, and behold, my hand will be with you to bring all Israel around to you.”

大衛說：「好！我與你立約。但有一件，你來見我面的時候，若不將掃羅的女兒米甲帶來，必不得見我的面。」

dà wèi shuō ：「 hǎo ！ wǒ yǔ nǐ lì yuē 。 dàn yǒu yí jiàn ， nǐ lái jiàn wǒ miàn de shí hòu ， ruò bù jiāng sǎo luó de nǚ ér mǐ jiǎ dài lái ， bì bù dé jiàn wǒ de miàn 。」

David said, “Good. I will make a treaty with you, but one thing I require of you. That is, you will not see my face unless you first bring Michal, Saul’s daughter, when you come to see my face.”

大衛就打發人去見掃羅的兒子伊施波設，說：「你要將我的妻米甲歸還我；她是我從前用一百非利士人的陽皮所聘定的。」

dà wèi jiù dǎ fā rén qù jiàn sǎo luó de ér zi yī shī bō shè ， shuō ：「 nǐ yào jiāng wǒ de qī mǐ jiǎ guī hái wǒ ； tā shì wǒ cóng qián yòng yì bǎi fēi lì shì rén de yáng pí suǒ pìn dìng de 。」

David sent messengers to Ishbosheth, Saul’s son, saying, “Deliver me my wife Michal, whom I was given to marry for one hundred foreskins of the Philistines.”

伊施波設就打發人去，將米甲從拉億的兒子、她丈夫帕鐵那裏接回來。

yī shī bō shè jiù dǎ fā rén qù ， jiāng mǐ jiǎ cóng lā yì de ér zi 、 tā zhàng fu pà tiě nà lǐ jiē huí lái 。

Ishbosheth sent and took her from her husband, Paltiel the son of Laish.

米甲的丈夫跟着她，一面走一面哭，直跟到巴戶琳。押尼珥說：「你回去吧！」帕鐵就回去了。

mǐ jiǎ de zhàng fu gēn zhe tā ， yí miàn zǒu yí miàn kū ， zhí gēn dào bā hù lín 。 yā ní ěr shuō ：「 nǐ huí qù ba ！」 pà tiě jiù huí qù le 。

Her husband went with her, weeping as he went, and followed her to Bahurim. Then Abner said to him, “Go! Return!” and he returned.

押尼珥對以色列長老說：「從前你們願意大衛作王治理你們，

yā ní ěr duì yǐ sè liè zhǎng lǎo shuō ：「 cóng qián nǐ men yuàn yì dà wèi zuò wáng zhì lǐ nǐ men ，

Abner had communication with the elders of Israel, saying, “In times past, you sought for David to be king over you.

現在你們可以照心願而行。因為耶和華曾論到大衛說：『我必藉我僕人大衛的手，救我民以色列脫離非利士人和眾仇敵的手。』」

xiàn zài nǐ men kě yǐ zhào xīn yuàn ér xíng 。 yīn wèi yē hé huá céng lùn dào dà wèi shuō ：『 wǒ bì jiè wǒ pú rén dà wèi de shǒu ， jiù wǒ mín yǐ sè liè tuō lí fēi lì shì rén hé zhòng chóu dí de shǒu 。』」

Now then do it! For the LORD has spoken of David, saying, ‘By the hand of my servant David, I will save my people Israel out of the hand of the Philistines, and out of the hand of all their enemies.’”

押尼珥也用這話說給便雅憫人聽，又到希伯崙，將以色列人和便雅憫全家一切所喜悅的事說給大衛聽。

yā ní ěr yě yòng zhè huà shuō gěi biàn yǎ mǐn rén tīng ， yòu dào xī bó ， jiāng yǐ sè liè rén hé biàn yǎ mǐn quán jiā yí qiè suǒ xǐ yuè de shì shuō gěi dà wèi tīng 。

Abner also spoke in the ears of Benjamin; and Abner went also to speak in the ears of David in Hebron all that seemed good to Israel and to the whole house of Benjamin.

押尼珥帶着二十個人來到希伯崙見大衛，大衛就為押尼珥和他帶來的人設擺筵席。

yā ní ěr dài zhe èr shí gè rén lái dào xī bó jiàn dà wèi ， dà wèi jiù wèi yā ní ěr hé tā dài lái de rén shè bǎi yán xí 。

So Abner came to David to Hebron, and twenty men with him. David made Abner and the men who were with him a feast.

押尼珥對大衛說：「我要起身去招聚以色列眾人來見我主我王，與你立約，你就可以照着心願作王。」於是大衛送押尼珥去，押尼珥就平平安安地去了。

yā ní ěr duì dà wèi shuō ：「 wǒ yào qǐ shēn qù zhāo jù yǐ sè liè zhòng rén lái jiàn wǒ zhǔ wǒ wáng ， yǔ nǐ lì yuē ， nǐ jiù kě yǐ zhào zhe xīn yuàn zuò wáng 。」 yú shì dà wèi sòng yā ní ěr qù ， yā ní ěr jiù píng píng ān ān dì qù le 。

Abner said to David, “I will arise and go, and will gather all Israel to my lord the king, that they may make a covenant with you, and that you may reign over all that your soul desires.” David sent Abner away; and he went in peace.

約押和大衛的僕人攻擊敵軍，帶回許多的掠物。那時押尼珥不在希伯崙大衛那裏，因大衛已經送他去，他也平平安安地去了。

yuē yā hé dà wèi de pú rén gōng jī dí jūn ， dài huí xǔ duō de lüè wù 。 nà shí yā ní ěr bú zài xī bó dà wèi nà lǐ ， yīn dà wèi yǐ jīng sòng tā qù ， tā yě píng píng ān ān dì qù le 。

Behold, David’s servants and Joab came from a raid and brought in a great plunder with them; but Abner was not with David in Hebron, for he had sent him away, and he had gone in peace.

約押和跟隨他的全軍到了，就有人告訴約押說：「尼珥的兒子押尼珥來見王，王送他去，他也平平安安地去了。」

yuē yā hé gēn suí tā de quán jūn dào le ， jiù yǒu rén gào sù yuē yā shuō ：「 ní ěr de ér zǐ yā ní ěr lái jiàn wáng ， wáng sòng tā qù ， tā yě píng píng ān ān dì qù le 。」

When Joab and all the army who was with him had come, they told Joab, “Abner the son of Ner came to the king, and he has sent him away, and he has gone in peace.”

約押去見王說：「你這是做甚麼呢？押尼珥來見你，你為何送他去，他就蹤影不見了呢？

yuē yā qù jiàn wáng shuō ：「 nǐ zhè shì zuò shén me ne ？ yā ní ěr lái jiàn nǐ ， nǐ wèi hé sòng tā qù ， tā jiù zōng yǐng bú jiàn le ne ？

Then Joab came to the king and said, “What have you done? Behold, Abner came to you. Why is it that you have sent him away, and he is already gone?

你當曉得，尼珥的兒子押尼珥來是要誆哄你，要知道你的出入和你一切所行的事。」

nǐ dāng xiǎo de ， ní ěr de ér zi yā ní ěr lái shì yào kuāng hǒng nǐ ， yào zhī dào nǐ de chū rù hé nǐ yí qiè suǒ xíng de shì 。」

You know Abner the son of Ner. He came to deceive you, and to know your going out and your coming in, and to know all that you do.”

約押從大衛那裏出來，就打發人去追趕押尼珥，在西拉井追上他，將他帶回來，大衛卻不知道。

yuē yā cóng dà wèi nà lǐ chū lái ， jiù dǎ fā rén qù zhuī gǎn yā ní ěr ， zài xī lā jǐng zhuī shàng tā ， jiāng tā dài huí lái ， dà wèi què bù zhī dào 。

When Joab had come out from David, he sent messengers after Abner, and they brought him back from the well of Sirah; but David didn’t know it.

押尼珥回到希伯崙，約押領他到城門的甕洞，假作要與他說機密話，就在那裏刺透他的肚腹，他便死了。這是報殺他兄弟亞撒黑的仇。

yā ní ěr huí dào xī bó ， yuē yā lǐng tā dào chéng mén de wèng dòng ， jiǎ zuò yào yǔ tā shuō jī mì huà ， jiù zài nà lǐ cì tòu tā de dù fù ， tā biàn sǐ le 。 zhè shì bào shā tā xiōng dì yà sā hēi de chóu 。

When Abner had returned to Hebron, Joab took him aside into the middle of the gate to speak with him quietly, and struck him there in the body, so that he died for the blood of Asahel his brother.

大衛聽見了，就說：「流尼珥的兒子押尼珥的血，這罪在耶和華面前必永不歸我和我的國。

dà wèi tīng jiàn le ， jiù shuō ：「 liú ní ěr de ér zǐ yā ní ěr de xuè ， zhè zuì zài yē hé huá miàn qián bì yǒng bù guī wǒ hé wǒ de guó 。

Afterward, when David heard it, he said, “I and my kingdom are guiltless before the LORD forever of the blood of Abner the son of Ner.

願流他血的罪歸到約押頭上和他父的全家；又願約押家不斷有患漏症的，長大痲瘋的，架柺而行的，被刀殺死的，缺乏飲食的。」

yuàn liú tā xuè de zuì guī dào yuē yā tóu shàng hé tā fù de quán jiā ； yòu yuàn yuē yā jiā bú duàn yǒu huàn lòu zhèng de ， cháng dà má fēng de ， jià guǎi ér xíng de ， bèi dāo shā sǐ de ， quē fá yǐn shí de 。」

Let it fall on the head of Joab and on all his father’s house. Let there not fail from the house of Joab one who has a discharge, or who is a leper, or who leans on a staff, or who falls by the sword, or who lacks bread.”

約押和他兄弟亞比篩殺了押尼珥，是因押尼珥在基遍爭戰的時候殺了他們的兄弟亞撒黑。

yuē yā hé tā xiōng dì yà bǐ shāi shā le yā ní ěr ， shì yīn yā ní ěr zài jī biàn zhēng zhàn de shí hòu shā le tā men de xiōng dì yà sā hēi 。

So Joab and Abishai his brother killed Abner, because he had killed their brother Asahel at Gibeon in the battle.

大衛吩咐約押和跟隨他的眾人說：「你們當撕裂衣服，腰束麻布，在押尼珥棺前哀哭。」大衛王也跟在棺後。

dà wèi fēn fù yuē yā hé gēn suí tā de zhòng rén shuō ：「 nǐ men dāng sī liè yī fu ， yāo shù má bù ， zài yā ní ěr guān qián āi kū 。」 dà wèi wáng yě gēn zài guān hòu 。

David said to Joab and to all the people who were with him, “Tear your clothes, and clothe yourselves with sackcloth, and mourn in front of Abner.” King David followed the bier.

他們將押尼珥葬在希伯崙。王在押尼珥的墓旁放聲而哭，眾民也都哭了。

tā men jiāng yā ní ěr zàng zài xī bó 。 wáng zài yā ní ěr de mù páng fàng shēng ér kū ， zhòng mín yě dōu kū le 。

They buried Abner in Hebron; and the king lifted up his voice and wept at Abner’s grave; and all the people wept.

王為押尼珥舉哀，說： 押尼珥何竟像愚頑人死呢？

wáng wèi yā ní ěr jǔ āi ， shuō ： yā ní ěr hé jìng xiàng yú wán rén sǐ ne ？

The king lamented for Abner, and said, “Should Abner die as a fool dies?

你手未曾捆綁，腳未曾鎖住。 你死，如人死在罪孽之輩手下一樣。 於是眾民又為押尼珥哀哭。

nǐ shǒu wèi céng kǔn bǎng ， jiǎo wèi céng suǒ zhù 。 nǐ sǐ ， rú rén sǐ zài zuì niè zhī bèi shǒu xià yí yàng 。 yú shì zhòng mín yòu wèi yā ní ěr āi kū 。

Your hands weren’t bound, and your feet weren’t put into fetters. As a man falls before the children of iniquity, so you fell.” All the people wept again over him.

日頭未落的時候，眾民來勸大衛吃飯，但大衛起誓說：「我若在日頭未落以前吃飯，或吃別物，願上帝重重地降罰與我！」

rì tou wèi luò de shí hòu ， zhòng mín lái quàn dà wèi chī fàn ， dàn dà wèi qǐ shì shuō ：「 wǒ ruò zài rì tóu wèi luò yǐ qián chī fàn ， huò chī bié wù ， yuàn shén chóng chóng dì jiàng fá yǔ wǒ ！」

All the people came to urge David to eat bread while it was yet day; but David swore, saying, “God do so to me, and more also, if I taste bread or anything else, until the sun goes down.”

眾民知道了就都喜悅。凡王所行的，眾民無不喜悅。

zhòng mín zhī dào le jiù dōu xǐ yuè 。 fán wáng suǒ xíng de ， zhòng mín wú bù xǐ yuè 。

All the people took notice of it, and it pleased them, as whatever the king did pleased all the people.

那日，以色列眾民才知道殺尼珥的兒子押尼珥並非出於王意。

nà rì ， yǐ sè liè zhòng mín cái zhī dào shā ní ěr de ér zi yā ní ěr bìng fēi chū yú wáng yì 。

So all the people and all Israel understood that day that it was not of the king to kill Abner the son of Ner.

王對臣僕說：「你們豈不知今日以色列人中死了一個作元帥的大丈夫嗎？

wáng duì chén pú shuō ：「 nǐ men qǐ bù zhī jīn rì yǐ sè liè rén zhōng sǐ le yí gè zuò yuán shuài de dà zhàng fu ma ？

The king said to his servants, “Don’t you know that a prince and a great man has fallen today in Israel?

我雖然受膏為王，今日還是軟弱；這洗魯雅的兩個兒子比我剛強。願耶和華照着惡人所行的惡報應他。」

wǒ suī rán shòu gāo wèi wáng ， jīn rì hái shì ruǎn ruò ； zhè xǐ lǔ yǎ de liǎng gè ér zi bǐ wǒ gāng qiáng 。 yuàn yē hé huá zhào zhe è rén suǒ xíng de è bào yìng tā 。」

I am weak today, though anointed king. These men, the sons of Zeruiah are too hard for me. May the LORD reward the evildoer according to his wickedness.”
