大衛問說：「掃羅家還有剩下的人沒有？我要因約拿單的緣故向他施恩。」

dà wèi wèn shuō ：「 sǎo luó jiā hái yǒu shèng xià de rén méi yǒu ？ wǒ yào yīn yuē ná dān de yuán gù xiàng tā shī ēn 。」

David said, “Is there yet any who is left of Saul’s house, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?”

掃羅家有一個僕人，名叫洗巴，有人叫他來見大衛，王問他說：「你是洗巴嗎？」回答說：「僕人是。」

sǎo luó jiā yǒu yí gè pú rén ， míng jiào xǐ bā ， yǒu rén jiào tā lái jiàn dà wèi ， wáng wèn tā shuō ：「 nǐ shì xǐ bā ma ？」 huí dá shuō ：「 pú rén shì 。」

There was of Saul’s house a servant whose name was Ziba, and they called him to David; and the king said to him, “Are you Ziba?” He said, “I am your servant.”

王說：「掃羅家還有人沒有？我要照上帝的慈愛恩待他。」洗巴對王說：「還有約拿單的一個兒子，是瘸腿的。」

wáng shuō ：「 sǎo luó jiā hái yǒu rén méi yǒu ？ wǒ yào zhào shén de cí ài ēn dài tā 。」 xǐ bā duì wáng shuō ：「 hái yǒu yuē ná dān de yí gè ér zi ， shì qué tuǐ de 。」

The king said, “Is there not yet any of Saul’s house, that I may show the kindness of God to him?” Ziba said to the king, “Jonathan still has a son, who is lame in his feet.”

王說：「他在哪裏？」洗巴對王說：「他在羅‧底巴，亞米利的兒子瑪吉家裏。」

wáng shuō ：「 tā zài nǎ lǐ ？」 xǐ bā duì wáng shuō ：「 tā zài luó · dǐ bā ， yà mǐ lì de ér zi mǎ jí jiā lǐ 。」

The king said to him, “Where is he?” Ziba said to the king, “Behold, he is in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, in Lo Debar.”

於是大衛王打發人去，從羅‧底巴亞米利的兒子瑪吉家裏召了他來。

yú shì dà wèi wáng dǎ fā rén qù ， cóng luó · dǐ bā 、 yà mǐ lì de ér zi mǎ jí jiā lǐ zhào le tā lái 。

Then King David sent and brought him out of the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, from Lo Debar.

掃羅的孫子、約拿單的兒子米非波設來見大衛，伏地叩拜。大衛說：「米非波設！」米非波設說：「僕人在此。」

sǎo luó de sūn zi 、 yuē ná dān de ér zi mǐ fēi bō shè lái jiàn dà wèi ， fú dì kòu bài 。 dà wèi shuō ：「 mǐ fēi bō shè ！」 mǐ fēi bō shè shuō ：「 pú rén zài cǐ 。」

Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, came to David, fell on his face, and showed respect. David said, “Mephibosheth?” He answered, “Behold, your servant!”

大衛說：「你不要懼怕，我必因你父親約拿單的緣故施恩與你，將你祖父掃羅的一切田地都歸還你；你也可以常與我同席吃飯。」

dà wèi shuō ：「 nǐ bú yào jù pà ， wǒ bì yīn nǐ fù qīn yuē ná dān de yuán gù shī ēn yǔ nǐ ， jiāng nǐ zǔ fù sǎo luó de yí qiè tián dì dōu guī huán nǐ ； nǐ yě kě yǐ cháng yǔ wǒ tóng xí chī fàn 。」

David said to him, “Don’t be afraid, for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father’s sake, and will restore to you all the land of Saul your father. You will eat bread at my table continually.”

米非波設又叩拜，說：「僕人算甚麼，不過如死狗一般，竟蒙王這樣眷顧！」

mǐ fēi bō shè yòu kòu bài ， shuō ：「 pú rén suàn shén me ， bú guò rú sǐ gǒu yì bān ， jìng méng wáng zhè yàng juàn gù ！」

He bowed down, and said, “What is your servant, that you should look at such a dead dog as I am?”

王召了掃羅的僕人洗巴來，對他說：「我已將屬掃羅和他的一切家產都賜給你主人的兒子了。

wáng zhào le sǎo luó de pú rén xǐ bā lái ， duì tā shuō ：「 wǒ yǐ jiāng shǔ sǎo luó hé tā de yí qiè jiā chǎn dōu cì gěi nǐ zhǔ rén de ér zi le 。

Then the king called to Ziba, Saul’s servant, and said to him, “All that belonged to Saul and to all his house I have given to your master’s son.

你和你的眾子、僕人要為你主人的兒子米非波設耕種田地，把所產的拿來供他食用；他卻要常與我同席吃飯。」洗巴有十五個兒子，二十個僕人。

nǐ hé nǐ de zhòng zǐ 、 pú rén yào wèi nǐ zhǔ rén de ér zi mǐ fēi bō shè gēng zhòng tián dì ， bǎ suǒ chǎn de ná lái gòng tā shí yòng ； tā què yào cháng yǔ wǒ tóng xí chī fàn 。」 xǐ bā yǒu shí wǔ gè ér zi ， èr shí gè pú rén 。

Till the land for him—you, your sons, and your servants. Bring in the harvest, that your master’s son may have bread to eat; but Mephibosheth your master’s son will always eat bread at my table.” Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.

洗巴對王說：「凡我主我王吩咐僕人的，僕人都必遵行。」王又說：「米非波設必與我同席吃飯，如王的兒子一樣。」

xǐ bā duì wáng shuō ：「 fán wǒ zhǔ wǒ wáng fēn fù pú rén de ， pú rén dōu bì zūn xíng 。」 wáng yòu shuō ：「 mǐ fēi bō shè bì yǔ wǒ tóng xí chī fàn ， rú wáng de ér zi yí yàng 。」

Then Ziba said to the king, “According to all that my lord the king commands his servant, so your servant will do.” So Mephibosheth ate at the king’s table like one of the king’s sons.

米非波設有一個小兒子，名叫米迦。凡住在洗巴家裏的人都作了米非波設的僕人。

mǐ fēi bō shè yǒu yí gè xiǎo ér zi ， míng jiào mǐ jiā 。 fán zhù zài xǐ bā jiā lǐ de rén dōu zuò le mǐ fēi bō shè de pú rén 。

Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Mica. All who lived in Ziba’s house were servants to Mephibosheth.

於是米非波設住在耶路撒冷，常與王同席吃飯。他兩腿都是瘸的。

yú shì mǐ fēi bō shè zhù zài yē lù sā lěng ， cháng yǔ wáng tóng xí chī fàn 。 tā liǎng tuǐ dōu shì qué de 。

So Mephibosheth lived in Jerusalem, for he ate continually at the king’s table. He was lame in both his feet.
