使徒行傳 23

保羅定睛看着公會的人，說：「弟兄們，我在上帝面前行事為人都是憑着良心，直到今日。」

bǎo luó dìng jīng kàn zhe gōng huì de rén ， shuō ：「 dì xiong men ， wǒ zài shén miàn qián xíng shì wèi rén dōu shì píng zhe liáng xīn ， zhí dào jīn rì 。」

Paul, looking steadfastly at the council, said, “Brothers, I have lived before God in all good conscience until today.”

大祭司亞拿尼亞就吩咐旁邊站着的人打他的嘴。

dà jì sī yà ná ní yà jiù fēn fù páng biān zhàn zhe de rén dǎ tā de zuǐ 。

The high priest, Ananias, commanded those who stood by him to strike him on the mouth.

保羅對他說：「你這粉飾的牆，上帝要打你！你坐堂為的是按律法審問我，你竟違背律法，吩咐人打我嗎？」

bǎo luó duì tā shuō ：「 nǐ zhè fěn shì de qiáng ， shén yào dǎ nǐ ！ nǐ zuò táng wèi de shì àn lǜ fǎ shěn wèn wǒ ， nǐ jìng wéi bèi lǜ fǎ ， fēn fù rén dǎ wǒ ma ？」

Then Paul said to him, “God will strike you, you whitewashed wall! Do you sit to judge me according to the law, and command me to be struck contrary to the law?”

站在旁邊的人說：「你辱罵上帝的大祭司嗎？」

zhàn zài páng biān de rén shuō ：「 nǐ rǔ mà shén de dà jì sī ma ？」

Those who stood by said, “Do you malign God’s high priest?”

保羅說：「弟兄們，我不曉得他是大祭司；經上記着說：『不可毀謗你百姓的官長。』」

bǎo luó shuō ：「 dì xiong men ， wǒ bù xiǎo de tā shì dà jì sī ； jīng shàng jì zhe shuō ：『 bù kě huǐ bàng nǐ bǎi xìng de guān zhǎng 。』」

Paul said, “I didn’t know, brothers, that he was high priest. For it is written, ‘You shall not speak evil of a ruler of your people.’”

保羅看出大眾一半是撒都該人，一半是法利賽人，就在公會中大聲說：「弟兄們，我是法利賽人，也是法利賽人的子孫。我現在受審問，是為盼望死人復活。」

bǎo luó kàn chū dà zhòng yí bàn shì sā dōu gāi rén ， yí bàn shì fǎ lì sài rén ， jiù zài gōng huì zhōng dà shēng shuō ：「 dì xiong men ， wǒ shì fǎ lì sài rén ， yě shì fǎ lì sài rén de zǐ sūn 。 wǒ xiàn zài shòu shěn wèn ， shì wèi pàn wàng sǐ rén fù huó 。」

But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, “Men and brothers, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees. Concerning the hope and resurrection of the dead I am being judged!”

說了這話，法利賽人和撒都該人就爭論起來，會眾分為兩黨。

shuō le zhè huà ， fǎ lì sài rén hé sā dōu gāi rén jiù zhēng lùn qǐ lái ， huì zhòng fēn wéi liǎng dǎng 。

When he had said this, an argument arose between the Pharisees and Sadducees, and the crowd was divided.

因為撒都該人說，沒有復活，也沒有天使和鬼魂；法利賽人卻說，兩樣都有。

yīn wèi sā dōu gāi rén shuō ， méi yǒu fù huó ， yě méi yǒu tiān shǐ hé guǐ hún ； fǎ lì sài rén què shuō ， liǎng yàng dōu yǒu 。

For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, nor angel, nor spirit; but the Pharisees confess all of these.

於是大大地喧嚷起來。有幾個法利賽黨的文士站起來爭辯說：「我們看不出這人有甚麼惡處，倘若有鬼魂或是天使對他說過話，怎麼樣呢？」

yú shì dà dà dì xuān rǎng qǐ lái 。 yǒu jǐ gè fǎ lì sài dǎng de wén shì zhàn qǐ lái zhēng biàn shuō ：「 wǒ men kàn bù chū zhè rén yǒu shén me è chù ， tǎng ruò yǒu guǐ hún huò shì tiān shǐ duì tā shuō guò huà ， zěn me yàng ne ？」

A great clamor arose, and some of the scribes of the Pharisees’ part stood up, and contended, saying, “We find no evil in this man. But if a spirit or angel has spoken to him, let’s not fight against God!”

那時大起爭吵，千夫長恐怕保羅被他們扯碎了，就吩咐兵丁下去，把他從眾人當中搶出來，帶進營樓去。

nà shí dà qǐ zhēng chǎo ， qiān fū cháng kǒng pà bǎo luó bèi tā men chě suì le ， jiù fēn fù bīng dīng xià qù ， bǎ tā cóng zhòng rén dāng zhōng qiǎng chū lái ， dài jìn yíng lóu qù 。

When a great argument arose, the commanding officer, fearing that Paul would be torn in pieces by them, commanded the soldiers to go down and take him by force from among them and bring him into the barracks.

當夜，主站在保羅旁邊，說：「放心吧！你怎樣在耶路撒冷為我作見證，也必怎樣在羅馬為我作見證。」

dāng yè ， zhǔ zhàn zài bǎo luó páng biān ， shuō ：「 fàng xīn ba ！ nǐ zěn yàng zài yē lù sā lěng wèi wǒ zuò jiàn zhèng ， yě bì zěn yàng zài luó mǎ wèi wǒ zuò jiàn zhèng 。」

The following night, the Lord stood by him and said, “Cheer up, Paul, for as you have testified about me at Jerusalem, so you must testify also at Rome.”

到了天亮，猶太人同謀起誓，說：「若不先殺保羅就不吃不喝。」

dào le tiān liàng ， yóu tài rén tóng móu qǐ shì ， shuō ：「 ruò bù xiān shā bǎo luó jiù bù chī bù hē 。」

When it was day, some of the Jews banded together and bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink until they had killed Paul.

這樣同心起誓的有四十多人。

zhè yàng tóng xīn qǐ shì de yǒu sì shí duō rén 。

There were more than forty people who had made this conspiracy.

他們來見祭司長和長老，說：「我們已經起了一個大誓，若不先殺保羅就不吃甚麼。

tā men lái jiàn jì sī zhǎng hé zhǎng lǎo ， shuō ：「 wǒ men yǐ jīng qǐ le yí gè dà shì ， ruò bù xiān shā bǎo luó jiù bù chī shén me 。

They came to the chief priests and the elders, and said, “We have bound ourselves under a great curse to taste nothing until we have killed Paul.

現在你們和公會要知會千夫長，叫他帶下保羅到你們這裏來，假作要詳細察考他的事；我們已經預備好了，不等他來到跟前就殺他。」

xiàn zài nǐ men hé gōng huì yào zhī hui qiān fū cháng ， jiào tā dài xià bǎo luó dào nǐ men zhè lǐ lái ， jiǎ zuò yào xiáng xì chá kǎo tā de shì ； wǒ men yǐ jīng yù bèi hǎo le ， bù děng tā lái dào gēn qián jiù shā tā 。」

Now therefore, you with the council inform the commanding officer that he should bring him down to you tomorrow, as though you were going to judge his case more exactly. We are ready to kill him before he comes near.”

保羅的外甥聽見他們設下埋伏，就來到營樓裏告訴保羅。

bǎo luó de wài shēng tīng jiàn tā men shè xià mái fú ， jiù lái dào yíng lóu lǐ gào sù bǎo luó 。

But Paul’s sister’s son heard they were lying in wait, and he came and entered into the barracks and told Paul.

保羅請一個百夫長來，說：「你領這少年人去見千夫長，他有事告訴他。」

bǎo luó qǐng yí gè bǎi fū cháng lái ， shuō ：「 nǐ lǐng zhè shào nián rén qù jiàn qiān fū cháng ， tā yǒu shì gào sù tā 。」

Paul summoned one of the centurions and said, “Bring this young man to the commanding officer, for he has something to tell him.”

於是把他領去見千夫長，說：「被囚的保羅請我到他那裏，求我領這少年人來見你；他有事告訴你。」

yú shì bǎ tā lǐng qù jiàn qiān fū cháng ， shuō ：「 bèi qiú de bǎo luó qǐng wǒ dào tā nà lǐ ， qiú wǒ lǐng zhè shào nián rén lái jiàn nǐ ； tā yǒu shì gào sù nǐ 。」

So he took him and brought him to the commanding officer and said, “Paul, the prisoner, summoned me and asked me to bring this young man to you. He has something to tell you.”

千夫長就拉着他的手，走到一旁，私下問他說：「你有甚麼事告訴我呢？」

qiān fū cháng jiù lā zhe tā de shǒu ， zǒu dào yì páng ， sī xià wèn tā shuō ：「 nǐ yǒu shén me shì gào sù wǒ ne ？」

The commanding officer took him by the hand, and going aside, asked him privately, “What is it that you have to tell me?”

他說：「猶太人已經約定，要求你明天帶下保羅到公會裏去，假作要詳細查問他的事。

tā shuō ：「 yóu tài rén yǐ jīng yuē dìng ， yào qiú nǐ míng tiān dài xià bǎo luó dào gōng huì lǐ qù ， jiǎ zuò yào xiáng xì chá wèn tā de shì 。

He said, “The Jews have agreed to ask you to bring Paul down to the council tomorrow, as though intending to inquire somewhat more accurately concerning him.

你切不要隨從他們；因為他們有四十多人埋伏，已經起誓說，若不先殺保羅就不吃不喝。現在預備好了，只等你應允。」

nǐ qiè bú yào suí cóng tā men ； yīn wèi tā men yǒu sì shí duō rén mái fú ， yǐ jīng qǐ shì shuō ， ruò bù xiān shā bǎo luó jiù bù chī bù hē 。 xiàn zài yù bèi hǎo le ， zhī děng nǐ yīng yǔn 。」

Therefore don’t yield to them, for more than forty men lie in wait for him, who have bound themselves under a curse to neither eat nor drink until they have killed him. Now they are ready, looking for the promise from you.”

於是千夫長打發少年人走，囑咐他說：「不要告訴人你將這事報給我了。」

yú shì qiān fū cháng dǎ fā shǎo nián rén zǒu ， zhǔ fù tā shuō ：「 bú yào gào sù rén nǐ jiāng zhè shì bào gěi wǒ le 。」

So the commanding officer let the young man go, charging him, “Tell no one that you have revealed these things to me.”

千夫長便叫了兩個百夫長來，說：「預備步兵二百，馬兵七十，長槍手二百，今夜亥初往凱撒利亞去；

qiān fū cháng biàn jiào le liǎng gè bǎi fū zhǎng lái ， shuō ：「 yù bèi bù bīng èr bǎi ， mǎ bīng qī shí ， cháng qiāng shǒu èr bǎi ， jīn yè hài chū wǎng kǎi sā lì yà qù ；

He called to himself two of the centurions, and said, “Prepare two hundred soldiers to go as far as Caesarea, with seventy horsemen and two hundred men armed with spears, at the third hour of the night.”

也要預備牲口叫保羅騎上，護送到巡撫腓力斯那裏去。」

yě yào yù bèi shēng kǒu jiào bǎo luó qí shàng ， hù sòng dào xún fǔ féi lì sī nà lǐ qù 。」

He asked them to provide mounts, that they might set Paul on one, and bring him safely to Felix the governor.

千夫長又寫了文書，

qiān fū cháng yòu xiě le wén shū ，

He wrote a letter like this:

大略說：「克勞第‧呂西亞，請巡撫腓力斯大人安。

dà lüè shuō ：「 kè láo dì · lǚ xī yà ， qǐng xún fǔ féi lì sī dà rén ān 。

“Claudius Lysias to the most excellent governor Felix: Greetings.

這人被猶太人拿住，將要殺害，我得知他是羅馬人，就帶兵丁下去救他出來。

zhè rén bèi yóu tài rén ná zhù ， jiāng yào shā hài ， wǒ dé zhī tā shì luó mǎ rén ， jiù dài bīng dīng xià qù jiù tā chū lái 。

“This man was seized by the Jews, and was about to be killed by them when I came with the soldiers and rescued him, having learned that he was a Roman.

因要知道他們告他的緣故，我就帶他下到他們的公會去，

yīn yào zhī dào tā men gào tā de yuán gù ， wǒ jiù dài tā xià dào tā men de gōng huì qù ，

Desiring to know the cause why they accused him, I brought him down to their council.

便查知他被告是因他們律法的辯論，並沒有甚麼該死該綁的罪名。

biàn chá zhī tā bèi gào shì yīn tā men lǜ fǎ de biàn lùn ， bìng méi yǒu shén me gāi sǐ gāi bǎng de zuì míng 。

I found him to be accused about questions of their law, but not to be charged with anything worthy of death or of imprisonment.

後來有人把要害他的計謀告訴我，我就立時解他到你那裏去，又吩咐告他的人在你面前告他。 」

hòu lái yǒu rén bǎ yào hài tā de jì móu gào sù wǒ ， wǒ jiù lì shí jiě tā dào nǐ nà lǐ qù ， yòu fēn fù gào tā de rén zài nǐ miàn qián gào tā 。 」

When I was told that the Jews lay in wait for the man, I sent him to you immediately, charging his accusers also to bring their accusations against him before you. Farewell.”

於是，兵丁照所吩咐他們的，將保羅夜裏帶到安提帕底。

yú shì ， bīng dīng zhào suǒ fēn fù tā men de ， jiāng bǎo luó yè lǐ dài dào ān tí pà dǐ 。

So the soldiers, carrying out their orders, took Paul and brought him by night to Antipatris.

第二天，讓馬兵護送，他們就回營樓去。

dì èr tiān ， ràng mǎ bīng hù sòng ， tā men jiù huí yíng lóu qù 。

But on the next day they left the horsemen to go with him, and returned to the barracks.

馬兵來到凱撒利亞，把文書呈給巡撫，便叫保羅站在他面前。

mǎ bīng lái dào kǎi sā lì yà ， bǎ wén shū chéng gěi xún fǔ ， biàn jiào bǎo luó zhàn zài tā miàn qián 。

When they came to Caesarea and delivered the letter to the governor, they also presented Paul to him.

巡撫看了文書，問保羅是哪省的人，既曉得他是基利家人，

xún fǔ kàn le wén shū ， wèn bǎo luó shì nǎ shěng de rén ， jì xiǎo de tā shì jī lì jiā rén ，

When the governor had read it, he asked what province he was from. When he understood that he was from Cilicia, he said,

就說：「等告你的人來到，我要細聽你的事」；便吩咐人把他看守在希律的衙門裏。

jiù shuō ：「 děng gào nǐ de rén lái dào ， wǒ yào xì tīng nǐ de shì 」； biàn fēn fù rén bǎ tā kān shǒu zài xī lǜ de yá mén lǐ 。

“I will hear you fully when your accusers also arrive.” He commanded that he be kept in Herod’s palace.
