申命記 19

「耶和華－你上帝將列國之民剪除的時候，耶和華－你上帝也將他們的地賜給你，你接着住他們的城邑並他們的房屋，

「 yē hé huá — nǐ shén jiāng liè guó zhī mín jiǎn chú de shí hòu ， yē hé huá — nǐ shén yě jiāng tā men de dì cì gěi nǐ ， nǐ jiē zhe zhù tā men de chéng yì bìng tā men de fáng wū ，

When the LORD your God cuts off the nations whose land the LORD your God gives you, and you succeed them and dwell in their cities and in their houses,

就要在耶和華－你上帝所賜你為業的地上分定三座城。

jiù yào zài yē hé huá — nǐ shén suǒ cì nǐ wèi yè de dì shàng fēn dìng sān zuò chéng 。

you shall set apart three cities for yourselves in the middle of your land, which the LORD your God gives you to possess.

要將耶和華－你上帝使你承受為業的地分為三段；又要預備道路，使誤殺人的，都可以逃到那裏去。

yào jiāng yē hé huá — nǐ shén shǐ nǐ chéng shòu wèi yè de dì fēn wéi sān duàn ； yòu yào yù bèi dào lù ， shǐ wù shā rén de ， dōu kě yǐ táo dào nà lǐ qù 。

You shall prepare the way, and divide the borders of your land which the LORD your God causes you to inherit into three parts, that every man slayer may flee there.

「誤殺人的逃到那裏可以存活，定例乃是這樣：凡素無仇恨，無心殺了人的，

「 wù shā rén de táo dào nà lǐ kě yǐ cún huó ， dìng lì nǎi shì zhè yàng ： fán sù wú chóu hèn ， wú xīn shā le rén de ，

This is the case of the man slayer who shall flee there and live: Whoever kills his neighbor unintentionally, and didn’t hate him in time past—

就如人與鄰舍同入樹林砍伐樹木，手拿斧子一砍，本想砍下樹木，不料，斧頭脫了把，飛落在鄰舍身上，以致於死，這人逃到那些城的一座城，就可以存活，

jiù rú rén yǔ lín shè tóng rù shù lín kǎn fá shù mù ， shǒu ná fǔ zǐ yì kǎn ， běn xiǎng kǎn xià shù mù ， bú liào ， fǔ tóu tuō le bǎ ， fēi luò zài lín shě shēn shàng ， yǐ zhì yú sǐ ， zhè rén táo dào nà xiē chéng de yí zuò chéng ， jiù kě yǐ cún huó ，

as when a man goes into the forest with his neighbor to chop wood and his hand swings the ax to cut down the tree, and the head slips from the handle and hits his neighbor so that he dies—he shall flee to one of these cities and live.

免得報血仇的，心中火熱追趕他，因路遠就追上，將他殺死；其實他不該死，因為他與被殺的素無仇恨。

miǎn de bào xuè chóu de ， xīn zhōng huǒ rè zhuī gǎn tā ， yīn lù yuǎn jiù zhuī shàng ， jiāng tā shā sǐ ； qí shí tā bù gāi sǐ ， yīn wèi tā yǔ bèi shā de sù wú chóu hèn 。

Otherwise, the avenger of blood might pursue the man slayer while hot anger is in his heart and overtake him, because the way is long, and strike him mortally, even though he was not worthy of death, because he didn’t hate him in time past.

所以我吩咐你說，要分定三座城。

suǒ yǐ wǒ fēn fù nǐ shuō ， yào fēn dìng sān zuò chéng 。

Therefore I command you to set apart three cities for yourselves.

耶和華－你上帝若照他向你列祖所起的誓擴張你的境界，將所應許賜你列祖的地全然給你，

yē hé huá — nǐ shén ruò zhào tā xiàng nǐ liè zǔ suǒ qǐ de shì kuò zhāng nǐ de jìng jiè ， jiāng suǒ yīng xǔ cì nǐ liè zǔ de dì quán rán gěi nǐ ，

If the LORD your God enlarges your border, as he has sworn to your fathers, and gives you all the land which he promised to give to your fathers;

你若謹守遵行我今日所吩咐的這一切誡命，愛耶和華－你的上帝，常常遵行他的道，就要在這三座城之外，再添三座城，

nǐ ruò jǐn shǒu zūn xíng wǒ jīn rì suǒ fēn fù de zhè yí qiè jiè mìng ， ài yē hé huá — nǐ de shén ， cháng cháng zūn xíng tā de dào ， jiù yào zài zhè sān zuò chéng zhī wài ， zài tiān sān zuò chéng ，

and if you keep all this commandment to do it, which I command you today, to love the LORD your God, and to walk ever in his ways, then you shall add three cities more for yourselves, in addition to these three.

免得無辜之人的血流在耶和華－你上帝所賜你為業的地上，流血的罪就歸於你。

miǎn de wú gū zhī rén de xuè liú zài yē hé huá — nǐ shén suǒ cì nǐ wèi yè de dì shàng ， liú xuè de zuì jiù guī yú nǐ 。

This is so that innocent blood will not be shed in the middle of your land which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance, leaving blood guilt on you.

「若有人恨他的鄰舍，埋伏着起來擊殺他，以致於死，便逃到這些城的一座城，

「 ruò yǒu rén hèn tā de lín shè ， mái fú zhe qǐ lái jī shā tā ， yǐ zhì yú sǐ ， biàn táo dào zhè xiē chéng de yí zuò chéng ，

But if any man hates his neighbor, lies in wait for him, rises up against him, strikes him mortally so that he dies, and he flees into one of these cities;

本城的長老就要打發人去，從那裏帶出他來，交在報血仇的手中，將他治死。

běn chéng de zhǎng lǎo jiù yào dǎ fā rén qù ， cóng nà lǐ dài chū tā lái ， jiāo zài bào xuè chóu de shǒu zhōng ， jiāng tā zhì sǐ 。

then the elders of his city shall send and bring him there, and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood, that he may die.

你眼不可顧惜他，卻要從以色列中除掉流無辜血的罪，使你可以得福。」

nǐ yǎn bù kě gù xī tā ， què yào cóng yǐ sè liè zhōng chú diào liú wú gū xuè de zuì ， shǐ nǐ kě yǐ dé fú 。」

Your eye shall not pity him, but you shall purge the innocent blood from Israel that it may go well with you.

「在耶和華－你上帝所賜你承受為業之地，不可挪移你鄰舍的地界，那是先人所定的。」

「 zài yē hé huá — nǐ shén suǒ cì nǐ chéng shòu wèi yè zhī dì ， bù kě nuó yí nǐ lín shè de dì jiè ， nà shì xiān rén suǒ dìng de 。」

You shall not remove your neighbor’s landmark, which they of old time have set, in your inheritance which you shall inherit, in the land that the LORD your God gives you to possess.

「人無論犯甚麼罪，作甚麼惡，不可憑一個人的口作見證，總要憑兩三個人的口作見證才可定案。

「 rén wú lùn fàn shén me zuì ， zuò shén me è ， bù kě píng yí gè rén de kǒu zuò jiàn zhèng ， zǒng yào píng liǎng sān gè rén de kǒu zuò jiàn zhèng cái kě dìng àn 。

One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin that he sins. At the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall a matter be established.

若有凶惡的見證人起來，見證某人作惡，

ruò yǒu xiōng è de jiàn zhèng rén qǐ lái ， jiàn zhèng mǒu rén zuò è ，

If an unrighteous witness rises up against any man to testify against him of wrongdoing,

這兩個爭訟的人就要站在耶和華面前，和當時的祭司，並審判官面前，

zhè liǎng gè zhēng sòng de rén jiù yào zhàn zài yē hé huá miàn qián ， hé dāng shí de jì sī ， bìng shěn pàn guān miàn qián ，

then both the men, between whom the controversy is, shall stand before the LORD, before the priests and the judges who shall be in those days;

審判官要細細地查究，若見證人果然是作假見證的，以假見證陷害弟兄，

shěn pàn guān yào xì xì dì chá jiū ， ruò jiàn zhèng rén guǒ rán shì zuò jiǎ jiàn zhèng de ， yǐ jiǎ jiàn zhèng xiàn hài dì xiong ，

and the judges shall make diligent inquisition; and behold, if the witness is a false witness, and has testified falsely against his brother,

你們就要待他如同他想要待的弟兄。這樣，就把那惡從你們中間除掉。

nǐ men jiù yào dài tā rú tóng tā xiǎng yào dài de dì xiong 。 zhè yàng ， jiù bǎ nà è cóng nǐ men zhōng jiān chú diào 。

then you shall do to him as he had thought to do to his brother. So you shall remove the evil from among you.

別人聽見都要害怕，就不敢在你們中間再行這樣的惡了。

bié rén tīng jiàn dōu yào hài pà ， jiù bù gǎn zài nǐ men zhōng jiān zài xíng zhè yàng de è le 。

Those who remain shall hear, and fear, and will never again commit any such evil among you.

你眼不可顧惜，要以命償命，以眼還眼，以牙還牙，以手還手，以腳還腳。」

nǐ yǎn bù kě gù xī ， yào yǐ mìng cháng mìng ， yǐ yǎn huán yǎn ， yǐ yá huán yá ， yǐ shǒu huán shǒu ， yǐ jiǎo hái jiǎo 。」

Your eyes shall not pity: life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.
