申命記 4

「以色列人哪，現在我所教訓你們的律例典章，你們要聽從遵行，好叫你們存活，得以進入耶和華－你們列祖之上帝所賜給你們的地，承受為業。

「 yǐ sè liè rén nǎ ， xiàn zài wǒ suǒ jiào xùn nǐ men de lǜ lì diǎn zhāng ， nǐ men yào tīng cóng zūn xíng ， hǎo jiào nǐ men cún huó ， dé yǐ jìn rù yē hé huá — nǐ men liè zǔ zhī shén suǒ cì gěi nǐ men de dì ， chéng shòu wèi yè 。

Now, Israel, listen to the statutes and to the ordinances which I teach you, to do them, that you may live and go in and possess the land which the LORD, the God of your fathers, gives you.

所吩咐你們的話，你們不可加添，也不可刪減，好叫你們遵守我所吩咐的，就是耶和華－你們上帝的命令。

suǒ fēn fù nǐ men de huà ， nǐ men bù kě jiā tiān ， yě bù kě shān jiǎn ， hǎo jiào nǐ men zūn shǒu wǒ suǒ fēn fù de ， jiù shì yē hé huá — nǐ men shén de mìng lìng 。

You shall not add to the word which I command you, neither shall you take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

耶和華因巴力‧毗珥的事所行的，你們親眼看見了。凡隨從巴力‧毗珥的人，耶和華－你們的上帝都從你們中間除滅了。

yē hé huá yīn bā lì · pí ěr de shì suǒ xíng de ， nǐ men qīn yǎn kàn jiàn le 。 fán suí cóng bā lì · pí ěr de rén ， yē hé huá — nǐ men de shén dōu cóng nǐ men zhōng jiān chú miè le 。

Your eyes have seen what the LORD did because of Baal Peor; for the LORD your God has destroyed all the men who followed Baal Peor from among you.

惟有你們專靠耶和華－你們上帝的人，今日全都存活。

wéi yǒu nǐ men zhuān kào yē hé huá — nǐ men shén de rén ， jīn rì quán dōu cún huó 。

But you who were faithful to the LORD your God are all alive today.

我照着耶和華－我上帝所吩咐的將律例典章教訓你們，使你們在所要進去得為業的地上遵行。

wǒ zhào zhe yē hé huá — wǒ shén suǒ fēn fù de jiāng lǜ lì diǎn zhāng jiào xùn nǐ men ， shǐ nǐ men zài suǒ yào jìn qù dé wèi yè de dì shàng zūn xíng 。

Behold, I have taught you statutes and ordinances, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that you should do so in the middle of the land where you go in to possess it.

所以你們要謹守遵行；這就是你們在萬民眼前的智慧、聰明。他們聽見這一切律例，必說：『這大國的人真是有智慧，有聰明！』

suǒ yǐ nǐ men yào jǐn shǒu zūn xíng ； zhè jiù shì nǐ men zài wàn mín yǎn qián de zhì huì 、 cōng ming 。 tā men tīng jiàn zhè yí qiè lǜ lì ， bì shuō ：『 zhè dà guó de rén zhēn shì yǒu zhì huì ， yǒu cōng ming ！』

Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who shall hear all these statutes and say, “Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.”

哪一大國的人有神與他們相近，像耶和華－我們的上帝、在我們求告他的時候與我們相近呢？

nǎ yí dà guó de rén yǒu shén yǔ tā men xiāng jìn ， xiàng yē hé huá — wǒ men de shén 、 zài wǒ men qiú gào tā de shí hòu yǔ wǒ men xiāng jìn ne ？

For what great nation is there that has a god so near to them as the LORD our God is whenever we call on him?

又哪一大國有這樣公義的律例典章、像我今日在你們面前所陳明的這一切律法呢？

yòu nǎ yí dà guó yǒu zhè yàng gōng yì de lǜ lì diǎn zhāng 、 xiàng wǒ jīn rì zài nǐ men miàn qián suǒ chén míng de zhè yí qiè lǜ fǎ ne ？

What great nation is there that has statutes and ordinances so righteous as all this law which I set before you today?

「你只要謹慎，殷勤保守你的心靈，免得忘記你親眼所看見的事，又免得你一生、這事離開你的心；總要傳給你的子子孫孫。

「 nǐ zhǐ yào jǐn shèn ， yīn qín bǎo shǒu nǐ de xīn líng ， miǎn de wàng jì nǐ qīn yǎn suǒ kàn jiàn de shì ， yòu miǎn dé nǐ yì shēng 、 zhè shì lí kāi nǐ de xīn ； zǒng yào chuán gěi nǐ de zǐ zǐ sūn sūn 。

Only be careful, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things which your eyes saw, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life; but make them known to your children and your children’s children—

你在何烈山站在耶和華－你上帝面前的那日，耶和華對我說：『你為我招聚百姓，我要叫他們聽見我的話，使他們存活在世的日子，可以學習敬畏我，又可以教訓兒女這樣行。』

nǐ zài hé liè shān zhàn zài yē hé huá — nǐ shén miàn qián de nà rì ， yē hé huá duì wǒ shuō ：『 nǐ wèi wǒ zhāo jù bǎi xìng ， wǒ yào jiào tā men tīng jiàn wǒ de huà ， shǐ tā men cún huó zài shì de rì zi ， kě yǐ xué xí jìng wèi wǒ ， yòu kě yǐ jiào xùn ér nǚ zhè yàng xíng 。』

the day that you stood before the LORD your God in Horeb, when the LORD said to me, “Assemble the people to me, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children.”

那時你們近前來，站在山下；山上有火焰沖天，並有昏黑、密雲、幽暗。

nà shí nǐ men jìn qián lái ， zhàn zài shān xià ； shān shàng yǒu huǒ yàn chōng tiān ， bìng yǒu hūn hēi 、 mì yún 、 yōu àn 。

You came near and stood under the mountain. The mountain burned with fire to the heart of the sky, with darkness, cloud, and thick darkness.

耶和華從火焰中對你們說話，你們只聽見聲音，卻沒有看見形像。

yē hé huá cóng huǒ yàn zhōng duì nǐ men shuō huà ， nǐ men zhī tīng jiàn shēng yīn ， què méi yǒu kàn jiàn xíng xiàng 。

The LORD spoke to you out of the middle of the fire: you heard the voice of words, but you saw no form; you only heard a voice.

他將所吩咐你們當守的約指示你們，就是十條誡，並將這誡寫在兩塊石版上。

tā jiāng suǒ fēn fù nǐ men dāng shǒu de yuē zhǐ shì nǐ men ， jiù shì shí tiáo jiè ， bìng jiāng zhè jiè xiě zài liǎng kuài shí bǎn shàng 。

He declared to you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even the ten commandments. He wrote them on two stone tablets.

那時耶和華又吩咐我將律例典章教訓你們，使你們在所要過去得為業的地上遵行。」

nà shí yē hé huá yòu fēn fù wǒ jiāng lǜ lì diǎn zhāng jiào xùn nǐ men ， shǐ nǐ men zài suǒ yào guò qù dé wèi yè de dì shàng zūn xíng 。」

The LORD commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and ordinances, that you might do them in the land where you go over to possess it.

「所以，你們要分外謹慎；因為耶和華在何烈山、從火中對你們說話的那日，你們沒有看見甚麼形像。

「 suǒ yǐ ， nǐ men yào fèn wài jǐn shèn ； yīn wèi yē hé huá zài hé liè shān 、 cóng huǒ zhōng duì nǐ men shuō huà de nà rì ， nǐ men méi yǒu kàn jiàn shén me xíng xiàng 。

Be very careful, for you saw no kind of form on the day that the LORD spoke to you in Horeb out of the middle of the fire,

惟恐你們敗壞自己，雕刻偶像，彷彿甚麼男像女像，

wéi kǒng nǐ men bài huài zì jǐ ， diāo kè ǒu xiàng ， fǎng fú shén me nán xiàng nǚ xiàng ，

lest you corrupt yourselves, and make yourself a carved image in the form of any figure, the likeness of male or female,

或地上走獸的像，或空中飛鳥的像，

huò dì shàng zǒu shòu de xiàng ， huò kōng zhōng fēi niǎo de xiàng ，

the likeness of any animal that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged bird that flies in the sky,

或地上爬物的像，或地底下水中魚的像。

huò dì shàng pá wù de xiàng ， huò dì dǐ xià shuǐ zhōng yú de xiàng 。

the likeness of anything that creeps on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the water under the earth;

又恐怕你向天舉目觀看，見耶和華－你的上帝為天下萬民所擺列的日月星，就是天上的萬象，自己便被勾引敬拜事奉它。

yòu kǒng pà nǐ xiàng tiān jǔ mù guān kàn ， jiàn yē hé huá — nǐ de shén wèi tiān xià wàn mín suǒ bǎi liè de rì yuè xīng ， jiù shì tiān shàng de wàn xiàng ， zì jǐ biàn bèi gōu yǐn jìng bài shì fèng tā 。

and lest you lift up your eyes to the sky, and when you see the sun and the moon and the stars, even all the army of the sky, you are drawn away and worship them, and serve them, which the LORD your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole sky.

耶和華將你們從埃及領出來，脫離鐵爐，要特作自己產業的子民，像今日一樣。

yē hé huá jiāng nǐ men cóng āi jí lǐng chū lái ， tuō lí tiě lú ， yào tè zuò zì jǐ chǎn yè de zǐ mín ， xiàng jīn rì yí yàng 。

But the LORD has taken you, and brought you out of the iron furnace, out of Egypt, to be to him a people of inheritance, as it is today.

耶和華又因你們的緣故向我發怒，起誓必不容我過約旦河，也不容我進入耶和華－你上帝所賜你為業的那美地。

yē hé huá yòu yīn nǐ men de yuán gù xiàng wǒ fā nù ， qǐ shì bì bù róng wǒ guò yuē dàn hé ， yě bù róng wǒ jìn rù yē hé huá — nǐ shén suǒ cì nǐ wèi yè de nà měi dì 。

Furthermore the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, and swore that I should not go over the Jordan, and that I should not go in to that good land which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance;

我只得死在這地，不能過約旦河；但你們必過去得那美地。

wǒ zhī dé sǐ zài zhè dì ， bù néng guò yuē dàn hé ； dàn nǐ men bì guò qù dé nà měi dì 。

but I must die in this land. I must not go over the Jordan, but you shall go over and possess that good land.

你們要謹慎，免得忘記耶和華－你們上帝與你們所立的約，為自己雕刻偶像，就是耶和華－你上帝所禁止你做的偶像；

nǐ men yào jǐn shèn ， miǎn de wàng jì yē hé huá — nǐ men shén yǔ nǐ men suǒ lì de yuē ， wèi zì jǐ diāo kè ǒu xiàng ， jiù shì yē hé huá — nǐ shén suǒ jìn zhǐ nǐ zuò de ǒu xiàng ；

Be careful, lest you forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make yourselves a carved image in the form of anything which the LORD your God has forbidden you.

因為耶和華－你的上帝乃是烈火，是忌邪的上帝。

yīn wèi yē hé huá — nǐ de shén nǎi shì liè huǒ ， shì jì xié de shén 。

For the LORD your God is a devouring fire, a jealous God.

「你們在那地住久了，生子生孫，就雕刻偶像，彷彿甚麼形像，敗壞自己，行耶和華－你上帝眼中看為惡的事，惹他發怒。

「 nǐ men zài nà dì zhù jiǔ le ， shēng zǐ shēng sūn ， jiù diāo kè ǒu xiàng ， fǎng fú shén me xíng xiàng ， bài huài zì jǐ ， xíng yē hé huá — nǐ shén yǎn zhōng kàn wèi è de shì ， rě tā fā nù 。

When you father children and children’s children, and you have been long in the land, and then corrupt yourselves, and make a carved image in the form of anything, and do that which is evil in the LORD your God’s sight to provoke him to anger,

我今日呼天喚地向你們作見證，你們必在過約旦河得為業的地上速速滅盡！你們不能在那地上長久，必盡行除滅。

wǒ jīn rì hū tiān huàn dì xiàng nǐ men zuò jiàn zhèng ， nǐ men bì zài guò yuē dàn hé dé wèi yè de dì shàng sù sù miè jìn ！ nǐ men bù néng zài nà dì shàng cháng jiǔ ， bì jìn xíng chú miè 。

I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that you will soon utterly perish from off the land which you go over the Jordan to possess it. You will not prolong your days on it, but will utterly be destroyed.

耶和華必使你們分散在萬民中；在他所領你們到的萬國裏，你們剩下的人數稀少。

yē hé huá bì shǐ nǐ men fēn sàn zài wàn mín zhōng ； zài tā suǒ lǐng nǐ men dào de wàn guó lǐ ， nǐ men shèng xià de rén shù xī shǎo 。

The LORD will scatter you among the peoples, and you will be left few in number among the nations where the LORD will lead you away.

在那裏，你們必事奉人手所造的神，就是用木石造成、不能看、不能聽、不能吃、不能聞的神。

zài nà lǐ ， nǐ men bì shì fèng rén shǒu suǒ zào de shén ， jiù shì yòng mù shí zào chéng 、 bù néng kàn 、 bù néng tīng 、 bù néng chī 、 bù néng wén de shén 。

There you will serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.

但你們在那裏必尋求耶和華－你的上帝。你盡心盡性尋求他的時候，就必尋見。

dàn nǐ men zài nà lǐ bì xún qiú yē hé huá — nǐ de shén 。 nǐ jìn xīn jìn xìng xún qiú tā de shí hòu ， jiù bì xún jiàn 。

But from there you shall seek the LORD your God, and you will find him when you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.

日後你遭遇一切患難的時候，你必歸回耶和華－你的上帝，聽從他的話。

rì hòu nǐ zāo yù yí qiè huàn nán de shí hòu ， nǐ bì guī huí yē hé huá — nǐ de shén ， tīng cóng tā de huà 。

When you are in oppression, and all these things have come on you, in the latter days you shall return to the LORD your God and listen to his voice.

耶和華－你上帝原是有憐憫的上帝；他總不撇下你，不滅絕你，也不忘記他起誓與你列祖所立的約。

yē hé huá — nǐ shén yuán shì yǒu lián mǐn de shén ； tā zǒng bù piě xià nǐ ， bú miè jué nǐ ， yě bú wàng jì tā qǐ shì yǔ nǐ liè zǔ suǒ lì de yuē 。

For the LORD your God is a merciful God. He will not fail you nor destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which he swore to them.

「你且考察在你以前的世代，自上帝造人在世以來，從天這邊到天那邊，曾有何民聽見上帝在火中說話的聲音，像你聽見還能存活呢？這樣的大事何曾有、何曾聽見呢？

「 nǐ qiě kǎo chá zài nǐ yǐ qián de shì dài ， zì shén zào rén zài shì yǐ lái ， cóng tiān zhè biān dào tiān nà biān ， céng yǒu hé mín tīng jiàn shén zài huǒ zhōng shuō huà de shēng yīn ， xiàng nǐ tīng jiàn hái néng cún huó ne ？ zhè yàng de dà shì hé céng yǒu 、 hé céng tīng jiàn ne ？

For ask now of the days that are past, which were before you, since the day that God created man on the earth, and from the one end of the sky to the other, whether there has been anything as great as this thing is, or has been heard like it?

Did a people ever hear the voice of God speaking out of the middle of the fire, as you have heard, and live?

上帝何曾從別的國中將一國的人民領出來，用試驗、神蹟、奇事、爭戰、大能的手，和伸出來的膀臂，並大可畏的事，像耶和華－你們的上帝在埃及，在你們眼前為你們所行的一切事呢？

shén hé céng cóng bié de guó zhōng jiàng yì guó de rén mín lǐng chū lái ， yòng shì yàn 、 shén jì 、 qí shì 、 zhēng zhàn 、 dà néng de shǒu ， hé shēn chū lái de bǎng bì ， bìng dà kě wèi de shì ， xiàng yē hé huá — nǐ men de shén zài āi jí ， zài nǐ men yǎn qián wèi nǐ men suǒ xíng de yí qiè shì ne ？

Or has God tried to go and take a nation for himself from among another nation, by trials, by signs, by wonders, by war, by a mighty hand, by an outstretched arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

這是顯給你看，要使你知道，惟有耶和華－他是上帝，除他以外，再無別神。

zhè shì xiǎn gěi nǐ kàn ， yào shǐ nǐ zhī dào ， wéi yǒu yē hé huá — tā shì shén ， chú tā yǐ wài ， zài wú bié shén 。

It was shown to you so that you might know that the LORD is God. There is no one else besides him.

他從天上使你聽見他的聲音，為要教訓你，又在地上使你看見他的烈火，並且聽見他從火中所說的話。

tā cóng tiān shàng shǐ nǐ tīng jiàn tā de shēng yīn ， wèi yào jiào xùn nǐ ， yòu zài dì shàng shǐ nǐ kàn jiàn tā de liè huǒ ， bìng qiě tīng jiàn tā cóng huǒ zhōng suǒ shuō de huà 。

Out of heaven he made you to hear his voice, that he might instruct you. On earth he made you to see his great fire; and you heard his words out of the middle of the fire.

因他愛你的列祖，所以揀選他們的後裔，用大能親自領你出了埃及，

yīn tā ài nǐ de liè zǔ ， suǒ yǐ jiǎn xuǎn tā men de hòu yì ， yòng dà néng qīn zì lǐng nǐ chū le āi jí ，

Because he loved your fathers, therefore he chose their offspring after them, and brought you out with his presence, with his great power, out of Egypt;

要將比你強大的國民從你面前趕出，領你進去，將他們的地賜你為業，像今日一樣。

yào jiāng bǐ nǐ qiáng dà de guó mín cóng nǐ miàn qián gǎn chū ， lǐng nǐ jìn qù ， jiāng tā men de dì cì nǐ wèi yè ， xiàng jīn rì yí yàng 。

to drive out nations from before you greater and mightier than you, to bring you in, to give you their land for an inheritance, as it is today.

所以，今日你要知道，也要記在心上，天上地下惟有耶和華他是上帝，除他以外，再無別神。

suǒ yǐ ， jīn rì nǐ yào zhī dào ， yě yào jì zài xīn shàng ， tiān shàng dì xià wéi yǒu yē hé huá tā shì shén ， chú tā yǐ wài ， zài wú bié shén 。

Know therefore today, and take it to heart, that the LORD himself is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath. There is no one else.

我今日將他的律例誡命曉諭你，你要遵守，使你和你的子孫可以得福，並使你的日子在耶和華－你上帝所賜的地上得以長久。」

wǒ jīn rì jiāng tā de lǜ lì jiè mìng xiǎo yù nǐ ， nǐ yào zūn shǒu ， shǐ nǐ hé nǐ de zǐ sūn kě yǐ dé fú ， bìng shǐ nǐ de rì zi zài yē hé huá — nǐ shén suǒ cì de dì shàng dé yǐ cháng jiǔ 。」

You shall keep his statutes and his commandments which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which the LORD your God gives you for all time.

「那時，摩西在約旦河東，向日出之地，分定三座城，

「 nà shí ， mó xī zài yuē dàn hé dōng ， xiàng rì chū zhī dì ， fēn dìng sān zuò chéng ，

Then Moses set apart three cities beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise,

使那素無仇恨、無心殺了人的，可以逃到這三城之中的一座城，就得存活：

shǐ nà sù wú chóu hèn 、 wú xīn shā le rén de ， kě yǐ táo dào zhè sān chéng zhī zhōng de yí zuò chéng ， jiù dé cún huó ：

that the man slayer might flee there, who kills his neighbor unintentionally and didn’t hate him in time past, and that fleeing to one of these cities he might live:

為呂便人分定曠野平原的比悉；為迦得人分定基列的拉末；為瑪拿西人分定巴珊的哥蘭。」

wèi lǚ biàn rén fēn dìng kuàng yě píng yuán de bǐ xī ； wèi jiā dé rén fēn dìng jī liè de lā mò ； wèi mǎ ná xī rén fēn dìng bā shān de gē lán 。」

Bezer in the wilderness, in the plain country, for the Reubenites; and Ramoth in Gilead for the Gadites; and Golan in Bashan for the Manassites.

摩西在以色列人面前所陳明的律法－

mó xī zài yǐ sè liè rén miàn qián suǒ chén míng de lǜ fǎ —

This is the law which Moses set before the children of Israel.

就是摩西在以色列人出埃及後所傳給他們的法度、律例、典章；

jiù shì mó xī zài yǐ sè liè rén chū āi jí hòu suǒ chuán gěi tā men de fǎ dù 、 lǜ lì 、 diǎn zhāng ；

These are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the ordinances which Moses spoke to the children of Israel when they came out of Egypt,

在約旦河東伯‧毗珥對面的谷中，在住希實本、亞摩利王西宏之地；這西宏是摩西和以色列人出埃及後所擊殺的。

zài yuē dàn hé dōng bó · pí ěr duì miàn de gǔ zhōng ， zài zhù xī shí běn 、 yà mó lì wáng xī hóng zhī dì ； zhè xī hóng shì mó xī hé yǐ sè liè rén chū āi jí hòu suǒ jī shā de 。

beyond the Jordan, in the valley opposite Beth Peor, in the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon, whom Moses and the children of Israel struck when they came out of Egypt.

他們得了他的地，又得了巴珊王噩的地，就是兩個亞摩利王，在約旦河東向日出之地。

tā men dé le tā de dì ， yòu dé le bā shān wáng è de dì ， jiù shì liǎng gè yà mó lì wáng ， zài yuē dàn hé dōng xiàng rì chū zhī dì 。

They took possession of his land and the land of Og king of Bashan, the two kings of the Amorites, who were beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise;

從亞嫩谷邊的亞羅珥，直到西雲山，就是黑門山。

cóng yà nèn gǔ biān de yà luó ěr ， zhí dào xī yún shān ， jiù shì hēi mén shān 。

from Aroer, which is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, even to Mount Siyon (also called Hermon),

還有約旦河東的全亞拉巴，直到亞拉巴海，靠近毗斯迦山根。

hái yǒu yuē dàn hé dōng de quán yà lā bā ， zhí dào yà lā bā hǎi ， kào jìn pí sī jiā shān gēn 。

and all the Arabah beyond the Jordan eastward, even to the sea of the Arabah, under the slopes of Pisgah.
