出埃及記 13:17

法老容百姓去的時候，非利士地的道路雖近，上帝卻不領他們從那裏走；因為上帝說：「恐怕百姓遇見打仗後悔，就回埃及去。」

fǎ lǎo róng bǎi xìng qù de shí hou ， fēi lì shì dì de dào lù suī jìn ， shén què bù lǐng tā men cóng nà li zǒu ； yīn wèi shén shuō ：「 kǒng pà bǎi xìng yù jiàn dǎ zhàng hòu huǐ ， jiù huí āi jí qù 。」

When Pharaoh had let the people go, God didn’t lead them by the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, “Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and they return to Egypt”;
