創世記 44

約瑟吩咐家宰說：「把糧食裝滿這些人的口袋，儘着他們的驢所能馱的，又把各人的銀子放在各人的口袋裏，

yuē sè fēn fù jiā zǎi shuō ：「 bǎ liáng shí zhuāng mǎn zhè xiē rén de kǒu dài ， jìn zhe tā men de lǘ suǒ néng tuó de ， yòu bǎ gè rén de yín zi fàng zài gè rén de kǒu dài lǐ ，

He commanded the steward of his house, saying, “Fill the men’s sacks with food, as much as they can carry, and put each man’s money in his sack’s mouth.

並將我的銀杯和那少年人糴糧的銀子一同裝在他的口袋裏。」家宰就照約瑟所說的話行了；

bìng jiāng wǒ de yín bēi hé nà shào nián rén dí liáng de yín zǐ yì tóng zhuāng zài tā de kǒu dài lǐ 。」 jiā zǎi jiù zhào yuē sè suǒ shuō de huà xíng le ；

Put my cup, the silver cup, in the sack’s mouth of the youngest, with his grain money.” He did according to the word that Joseph had spoken.

天一亮就打發那些人帶着驢走了。

tiān yí liàng jiù dǎ fā nà xiē rén dài zhe lǘ zǒu le 。

As soon as the morning was light, the men were sent away, they and their donkeys.

他們出城走了不遠，約瑟對家宰說：「起來，追那些人去，追上了就對他們說：『你們為甚麼以惡報善呢？

tā men chū chéng zǒu le bù yuǎn ， yuē sè duì jiā zǎi shuō ：「 qǐ lái ， zhuī nà xiē rén qù ， zhuī shàng le jiù duì tā men shuō ：『 nǐ men wèi shén me yǐ è bào shàn ne ？

When they had gone out of the city, and were not yet far off, Joseph said to his steward, “Up, follow after the men. When you overtake them, ask them, ‘Why have you rewarded evil for good?

這不是我主人飲酒的杯嗎？豈不是他占卜用的嗎？你們這樣行是作惡了。』」

zhè bú shì wǒ zhǔ rén yǐn jiǔ de bēi ma ？ qǐ bú shì tā zhān bǔ yòng de ma ？ nǐ men zhè yàng xíng shì zuò è le 。』」

Isn’t this that from which my lord drinks, and by which he indeed divines? You have done evil in so doing.’”

家宰追上他們，將這些話對他們說了。

jiā zǎi zhuī shàng tā men ， jiāng zhè xiē huà duì tā men shuō le 。

He overtook them, and he spoke these words to them.

他們回答說：「我主為甚麼說這樣的話呢？你僕人斷不能做這樣的事。

tā men huí dá shuō ：「 wǒ zhǔ wèi shén me shuō zhè yàng de huà ne ？ nǐ pú rén duàn bù néng zuò zhè yàng de shì 。

They said to him, “Why does my lord speak such words as these? Far be it from your servants that they should do such a thing!

你看，我們從前在口袋裏所見的銀子，尚且從迦南地帶來還你，我們怎能從你主人家裏偷竊金銀呢？

nǐ kàn ， wǒ men cóng qián zài kǒu dài lǐ suǒ jiàn de yín zi ， shàng qiě cóng jiā nán dì dài lái hái nǐ ， wǒ men zěn néng cóng nǐ zhǔ rén jiā lǐ tōu qiè jīn yín ne ？

Behold, the money, which we found in our sacks’ mouths, we brought again to you out of the land of Canaan. How then should we steal silver or gold out of your lord’s house?

你僕人中無論在誰那裏搜出來，就叫他死，我們也作我主的奴僕。」

nǐ pú rén zhōng wú lùn zài shuí nà lǐ sōu chū lái ， jiù jiào tā sǐ ， wǒ men yě zuò wǒ zhǔ de nú pú 。」

With whomever of your servants it is found, let him die, and we also will be my lord’s slaves.”

家宰說：「現在就照你們的話行吧！在誰那裏搜出來，誰就作我的奴僕；其餘的都沒有罪。」

jiā zǎi shuō ：「 xiàn zài jiù zhào nǐ men de huà xíng ba ！ zài shuí nà lǐ sōu chū lái ， shuí jiù zuò wǒ de nú pú ； qí yú de dōu méi yǒu zuì 。」

He said, “Now also let it be according to your words. He with whom it is found will be my slave; and you will be blameless.”

於是他們各人急忙把口袋卸在地下，各人打開口袋。

yú shì tā men gè rén jí máng bǎ kǒu dài xiè zài dì shàng ， gè rén dǎ kāi kǒu dài 。

Then they hurried, and each man took his sack down to the ground, and each man opened his sack.

家宰就搜查，從年長的起到年幼的為止，那杯竟在便雅憫的口袋裏搜出來。

jiā zǎi jiù sōu chá ， cóng nián cháng de qǐ dào nián yòu de wéi zhǐ ， nà bēi jìng zài biàn yǎ mǐn de kǒu dài lǐ sōu chū lái 。

He searched, beginning with the oldest, and ending at the youngest. The cup was found in Benjamin’s sack.

他們就撕裂衣服，各人把馱子抬在驢上，回城去了。

tā men jiù sī liè yī fu ， gè rén bǎ tuó zǐ tái zài lǘ shàng ， huí chéng qù le 。

Then they tore their clothes, and each man loaded his donkey, and returned to the city.

猶大和他弟兄們來到約瑟的屋中，約瑟還在那裏，他們就在他面前俯伏於地。

yóu dà hé tā dì xiong men lái dào yuē sè de wū zhōng ， yuē sè hái zài nà lǐ ， tā men jiù zài tā miàn qián fǔ fú yú dì 。

Judah and his brothers came to Joseph’s house, and he was still there. They fell on the ground before him.

約瑟對他們說：「你們做的是甚麼事呢？你們豈不知像我這樣的人必能占卜嗎？」

yuē sè duì tā men shuō ：「 nǐ men zuò de shì shén me shì ne ？ nǐ men qǐ bù zhī xiàng wǒ zhè yàng de rén bì néng zhān bǔ ma ？」

Joseph said to them, “What deed is this that you have done? Don’t you know that such a man as I can indeed do divination?”

猶大說：「我們對我主說甚麼呢？還有甚麼話可說呢？我們怎能自己表白出來呢？上帝已經查出僕人的罪孽了。我們與那在他手中搜出杯來的都是我主的奴僕。」

yóu dà shuō ：「 wǒ men duì wǒ zhǔ shuō shén me ne ？ hái yǒu shén me huà kě shuō ne ？ wǒ men zěn néng zì jǐ biǎo bái chū lái ne ？ shén yǐ jīng chá chū pú rén de zuì niè le 。 wǒ men yǔ nà zài tā shǒu zhōng sōu chū bēi lái de dōu shì wǒ zhǔ de nú pú 。」

Judah said, “What will we tell my lord? What will we speak? How will we clear ourselves? God has found out the iniquity of your servants. Behold, we are my lord’s slaves, both we and he also in whose hand the cup is found.”

約瑟說：「我斷不能這樣行！在誰的手中搜出杯來，誰就作我的奴僕；至於你們，可以平平安安地上你們父親那裏去。」

yuē sè shuō ：「 wǒ duàn bù néng zhè yàng xíng ！ zài shuí de shǒu zhōng sōu chū bēi lái ， shuí jiù zuò wǒ de nú pú ； zhì yú nǐ men ， kě yǐ píng píng ān ān dì shàng nǐ men fù qīn nà lǐ qù 。」

He said, “Far be it from me that I should do so. The man in whose hand the cup is found, he will be my slave; but as for you, go up in peace to your father.”

猶大挨近他，說：「我主啊，求你容僕人說一句話給我主聽，不要向僕人發烈怒，因為你如同法老一樣。

yóu dà āi jìn tā ， shuō ：「 wǒ zhǔ a ， qiú nǐ róng pú rén shuō yí jù huà gěi wǒ zhǔ tīng ， bú yào xiàng pú rén fā liè nù ， yīn wèi nǐ rú tóng fǎ lǎo yí yàng 。

Then Judah came near to him, and said, “Oh, my lord, please let your servant speak a word in my lord’s ears, and don’t let your anger burn against your servant; for you are even as Pharaoh.

我主曾問僕人們說：『你們有父親有兄弟沒有？』

wǒ zhǔ céng wèn pú rén men shuō ：『 nǐ men yǒu fù qīn yǒu xiōng dì méi yǒu ？』

My lord asked his servants, saying, ‘Have you a father, or a brother?’

我們對我主說：『我們有父親，已經年老，還有他老年所生的一個小孩子。他哥哥死了，他母親只撇下他一人，他父親疼愛他。』

wǒ men duì wǒ zhǔ shuō ：『 wǒ men yǒu fù qīn ， yǐ jīng nián lǎo ， hái yǒu tā lǎo nián suǒ shēng de yí gè xiǎo hái zǐ 。 tā gē ge sǐ le ， tā mǔ qīn zhī piě xià tā yì rén ， tā fù qīn téng ài tā 。』

We said to my lord, ‘We have a father, an old man, and a child of his old age, a little one; and his brother is dead, and he alone is left of his mother; and his father loves him.’

你對僕人說：『把他帶到我這裏來，叫我親眼看看他。』

nǐ duì pú rén shuō ：『 bǎ tā dài dào wǒ zhè lǐ lái ， jiào wǒ qīn yǎn kàn kàn tā 。』

You said to your servants, ‘Bring him down to me, that I may set my eyes on him.’

我們對我主說：『童子不能離開他父親，若是離開，他父親必死。』

wǒ men duì wǒ zhǔ shuō ：『 tóng zǐ bù néng lí kāi tā fù qīn ， ruò shì lí kāi ， tā fù qīn bì sǐ 。』

We said to my lord, ‘The boy can’t leave his father, for if he should leave his father, his father would die.’

你對僕人說：『你們的小兄弟若不與你們一同下來，你們就不得再見我的面。』

nǐ duì pú rén shuō ：『 nǐ men de xiǎo xiōng dì ruò bù yǔ nǐ men yì tóng xià lái ， nǐ men jiù bù dé zài jiàn wǒ de miàn 。』

You said to your servants, ‘Unless your youngest brother comes down with you, you will see my face no more.’

我們上到你僕人－我們父親那裏，就把我主的話告訴了他。

wǒ men shàng dào nǐ pú rén — wǒ men fù qīn nà lǐ ， jiù bǎ wǒ zhǔ de huà gào sù le tā 。

When we came up to your servant my father, we told him the words of my lord.

我們的父親說：『你們再去給我糴些糧來。』

wǒ men de fù qīn shuō ：『 nǐ men zài qù gěi wǒ dí xiē liáng lái 。』

Our father said, ‘Go again and buy us a little food.’

我們就說：『我們不能下去。我們的小兄弟若和我們同往，我們就可以下去。因為，小兄弟若不與我們同往，我們必不得見那人的面。』

wǒ men jiù shuō ：『 wǒ men bù néng xià qù 。 wǒ men de xiǎo xiōng dì ruò hé wǒ men tóng wǎng ， wǒ men jiù kě yǐ xià qù 。 yīn wèi ， xiǎo xiōng dì ruò bù yǔ wǒ men tóng wǎng ， wǒ men bì bù dé jiàn nà rén de miàn 。』

We said, ‘We can’t go down. If our youngest brother is with us, then we will go down: for we may not see the man’s face, unless our youngest brother is with us.’

你僕人－我父親對我們說：『你們知道我的妻子給我生了兩個兒子。

nǐ pú rén — wǒ fù qīn duì wǒ men shuō ：『 nǐ men zhī dào wǒ de qī zǐ gěi wǒ shēng le liǎng gè ér zi 。

Your servant, my father, said to us, ‘You know that my wife bore me two sons.

一個離開我出去了；我說他必是被撕碎了，直到如今我也沒有見他。

yí gè lí kāi wǒ chū qù le ； wǒ shuō tā bì shì bèi sī suì le ， zhí dào rú jīn wǒ yě méi yǒu jiàn tā 。

One went out from me, and I said, “Surely he is torn in pieces;” and I haven’t seen him since.

現在你們又要把這個帶去離開我，倘若他遭害，那便是你們使我白髮蒼蒼、悲悲慘慘地下陰間去了。』

xiàn zài nǐ men yòu yào bǎ zhè ge dài qù lí kāi wǒ ， tǎng ruò tā zāo hài ， nà biàn shì nǐ men shǐ wǒ bái fà cāng cāng 、 bēi bēi cǎn cǎn dì xià yīn jiān qù le 。』

If you take this one also from me, and harm happens to him, you will bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to Sheol.’

我父親的命與這童子的命相連。如今我回到你僕人－我父親那裏，若沒有童子與我們同在，

wǒ fù qīn de mìng yǔ zhè tóng zǐ de mìng xiāng lián 。 rú jīn wǒ huí dào nǐ pú rén — wǒ fù qīn nà lǐ ， ruò méi yǒu tóng zǐ yǔ wǒ men tóng zài ，

Now therefore when I come to your servant my father, and the boy is not with us; since his life is bound up in the boy’s life;

我們的父親見沒有童子，他就必死。這便是我們使你僕人－我們的父親白髮蒼蒼、悲悲慘慘地下陰間去了。

wǒ men de fù qīn jiàn méi yǒu tóng zǐ ， tā jiù bì sǐ 。 zhè biàn shì wǒ men shǐ nǐ pú rén — wǒ men de fù qīn bái fà cāng cāng 、 bēi bēi cǎn cǎn dì xià yīn jiān qù le 。

it will happen, when he sees that the boy is no more, that he will die. Your servants will bring down the gray hairs of your servant, our father, with sorrow to Sheol.

因為僕人曾向我父親為這童子作保，說：『我若不帶他回來交給父親，我便在父親面前永遠擔罪。』

yīn wèi pú rén céng xiàng wǒ fù qīn wèi zhè tóng zǐ zuò bǎo ， shuō ：『 wǒ ruò bú dài tā huí lái jiāo gěi fù qīn ， wǒ biàn zài fù qīn miàn qián yǒng yuǎn dān zuì 。』

For your servant became collateral for the boy to my father, saying, ‘If I don’t bring him to you, then I will bear the blame to my father forever.’

現在求你容僕人住下，替這童子作我主的奴僕，叫童子和他哥哥們一同上去。

xiàn zài qiú nǐ róng pú rén zhù xià ， tì zhè tóng zǐ zuò wǒ zhǔ de nú pú ， jiào tóng zǐ hé tā gē ge men yì tóng shàng qù 。

Now therefore, please let your servant stay instead of the boy, my lord’s slave; and let the boy go up with his brothers.

若童子不和我同去，我怎能上去見我父親呢？恐怕我看見災禍臨到我父親身上。」

ruò tóng zǐ bù hé wǒ tóng qù ， wǒ zěn néng shàng qù jiàn wǒ fù qīn ne ？ kǒng pà wǒ kàn jiàn zāi huò lín dào wǒ fù qīn shēn shàng 。」

For how will I go up to my father, if the boy isn’t with me?—lest I see the evil that will come on my father.”
