約伯記 20

拿瑪人瑣法回答說：

ná mǎ rén suǒ fǎ huí dá shuō ：

Then Zophar the Naamathite answered,

我心中急躁， 所以我的思念叫我回答。

wǒ xīn zhōng jí zào ， suǒ yǐ wǒ de sī niàn jiào wǒ huí dá 。

“Therefore my thoughts answer me, even by reason of my haste that is in me.

我已聽見那羞辱我，責備我的話； 我的悟性叫我回答。

wǒ yǐ tīng jiàn nà xiū rǔ wǒ ， zé bèi wǒ de huà ； wǒ de wù xìng jiào wǒ huí dá 。

I have heard the reproof which puts me to shame. The spirit of my understanding answers me.

你豈不知亙古以來， 自從人生在地，

nǐ qǐ bù zhī gèn gǔ yǐ lái ， zì cóng rén shēng zài dì ，

Don’t you know this from old time, since man was placed on earth,

惡人誇勝是暫時的， 不敬虔人的喜樂不過轉眼之間嗎？

è rén kuā shèng shì zàn shí de ， bú jìng qián rén de xǐ lè bú guò zhuǎn yǎn zhī jiān ma ？

that the triumphing of the wicked is short, the joy of the godless but for a moment?

他的尊榮雖達到天上， 頭雖頂到雲中，

tā de zūn róng suī dá dào tiān shàng ， tóu suī dǐng dào yún zhōng ，

Though his height mount up to the heavens, and his head reach to the clouds,

他終必滅亡，像自己的糞一樣； 素來見他的人要說：他在哪裏呢？

tā zhōng bì miè wáng ， xiàng zì jǐ de fèn yí yàng ； sù lái jiàn tā de rén yào shuō ： tā zài nǎ lǐ ne ？

yet he will perish forever like his own dung. Those who have seen him will say, ‘Where is he?’

他必飛去如夢，不再尋見， 速被趕去，如夜間的異象。

tā bì fēi qù rú mèng ， bú zài xún jiàn ， sù bèi gǎn qù ， rú yè jiān de yì xiàng 。

He will fly away as a dream, and will not be found. Yes, he will be chased away like a vision of the night.

親眼見過他的，必不再見他； 他的本處也再見不着他。

qīn yǎn jiàn guò tā de ， bì bú zài jiàn tā ； tā de běn chù yě zài jiàn bù zhe tā 。

The eye which saw him will see him no more, neither will his place see him any more.

他的兒女要求窮人的恩； 他的手要賠還不義之財。

tā de ér nǚ yāo qiú qióng rén de ēn ； tā de shǒu yào péi huán bú yì zhī cái 。

His children will seek the favor of the poor. His hands will give back his wealth.

他的骨頭雖然有青年之力， 卻要和他一同躺臥在塵土中。

tā de gǔ tou suī rán yǒu qīng nián zhī lì ， què yào hé tā yì tóng tǎng wò zài chén tǔ zhōng 。

His bones are full of his youth, but youth will lie down with him in the dust.

他口內雖以惡為甘甜， 藏在舌頭底下，

tā kǒu nèi suī yǐ è wèi gān tián ， cáng zài shé tou dǐ xià ，

“Though wickedness is sweet in his mouth, though he hide it under his tongue,

愛戀不捨，含在口中；

ài liàn bú shè ， hán zài kǒu zhōng ；

though he spare it, and will not let it go, but keep it still within his mouth,

他的食物在肚裏卻要化為酸， 在他裏面成為虺蛇的惡毒。

tā de shí wù zài dù lǐ què yào huà wéi suān ， zài tā lǐ miàn chéng wéi huī shé de è dú 。

yet his food in his bowels is turned. It is cobra venom within him.

他吞了財寶，還要吐出； 上帝要從他腹中掏出來。

tā tūn le cái bǎo ， hái yào tǔ chū ； shén yào cóng tā fù zhōng tāo chū lái 。

He has swallowed down riches, and he will vomit them up again. God will cast them out of his belly.

他必吸飲虺蛇的毒氣； 蝮蛇的舌頭也必殺他。

tā bì xī yǐn huī shé de dú qì ； fù shé de shé tou yě bì shā tā 。

He will suck cobra venom. The viper’s tongue will kill him.

流奶與蜜之河， 他不得再見。

liú nǎi yǔ mì zhī hé ， tā bù dé zài jiàn 。

He will not look at the rivers, the flowing streams of honey and butter.

他勞碌得來的要賠還，不得享用 ； 不能照所得的財貨歡樂。

tā láo lù dé lái de yào péi huán ， bù dé xiǎng yòng ； bù néng zhào suǒ dé de cái huò huān lè 。

He will restore that for which he labored, and will not swallow it down. He will not rejoice according to the substance that he has gotten.

他欺壓窮人，且又離棄； 強取非自己所蓋的房屋 。

tā qī yā qióng rén ， qiě yòu lí qì ； qiáng qǔ fēi zì jǐ suǒ gài de fáng wū 。

For he has oppressed and forsaken the poor. He has violently taken away a house, and he will not build it up.

他因貪而無厭， 所喜悅的連一樣也不能保守。

tā yīn tān ér wú yàn ， suǒ xǐ yuè de lián yí yàng yě bù néng bǎo shǒu 。

“Because he knew no quietness within him, he will not save anything of that in which he delights.

其餘的沒有一樣他不吞滅， 所以他的福樂不能長久。

qí yú de méi yǒu yí yàng tā bù tūn miè ， suǒ yǐ tā de fú lè bù néng cháng jiǔ 。

There was nothing left that he didn’t devour, therefore his prosperity will not endure.

他在滿足有餘的時候，必到狹窄的地步； 凡受苦楚的人都必加手在他身上。

tā zài mǎn zú yǒu yú de shí hòu ， bì dào xiá zhǎi de dì bù ； fán shòu kǔ chǔ de rén dōu bì jiā shǒu zài tā shēn shàng 。

In the fullness of his sufficiency, distress will overtake him. The hand of everyone who is in misery will come on him.

他正要充滿肚腹的時候， 上帝必將猛烈的忿怒降在他身上； 正在他吃飯的時候， 要將這忿怒像雨降在他身上。

tā zhèng yào chōng mǎn dù fù de shí hòu ， shén bì jiāng měng liè de fèn nù jiàng zài tā shēn shàng ； zhèng zài tā chī fàn de shí hòu ， yào jiāng zhè fèn nù xiàng yǔ jiàng zài tā shēn shàng 。

When he is about to fill his belly, God will cast the fierceness of his wrath on him. It will rain on him while he is eating.

他要躲避鐵器； 銅弓的箭要將他射透。

tā yào duǒ bì tiě qì ； tóng gōng de jiàn yào jiāng tā shè tòu 。

He will flee from the iron weapon. The bronze arrow will strike him through.

他把箭一抽，就從他身上出來； 發光的箭頭從他膽中出來， 有驚惶臨在他身上。

tā bǎ jiàn yì chōu ， jiù cóng tā shēn shàng chū lái ； fā guāng de jiàn tóu cóng tā dǎn zhōng chū lái ， yǒu jīng huáng lín zài tā shēn shàng 。

He draws it out, and it comes out of his body. Yes, the glittering point comes out of his liver. Terrors are on him.

他的財寶歸於黑暗； 人所不吹的火要把他燒滅， 要把他帳棚中所剩下的燒毀。

tā de cái bǎo guī yú hēi àn ； rén suǒ bù chuī de huǒ yào bǎ tā shāo miè ， yào bǎ tā zhàng péng zhōng suǒ shèng xià de shāo huǐ 。

All darkness is laid up for his treasures. An unfanned fire will devour him. It will consume that which is left in his tent.

天要顯明他的罪孽； 地要興起攻擊他。

tiān yào xiǎn míng tā de zuì niè ； dì yào xīng qǐ gōng jī tā 。

The heavens will reveal his iniquity. The earth will rise up against him.

他的家產必然過去； 上帝發怒的日子，他的貨物都要消滅。

tā de jiā chǎn bì rán guò qù ； shén fā nù de rì zi ， tā de huò wù dōu yào xiāo miè 。

The increase of his house will depart. They will rush away in the day of his wrath.

這是惡人從上帝所得的分， 是上帝為他所定的產業。

zhè shì è rén cóng shén suǒ dé de fēn ， shì shén wèi tā suǒ dìng de chǎn yè 。

This is the portion of a wicked man from God, the heritage appointed to him by God.”
