約伯記 37

因此我心戰兢， 從原處移動。

yīn cǐ wǒ xīn zhàn jīng ， cóng yuán chù yí dòng 。

“Yes, at this my heart trembles, and is moved out of its place.

聽啊，上帝轟轟的聲音 是他口中所發的響聲。

tīng a ， shén hōng hōng de shēng yīn shì tā kǒu zhōng suǒ fā de xiǎng shēng 。

Hear, oh, hear the noise of his voice, the sound that goes out of his mouth.

他發響聲震遍天下， 發電光閃到地極。

tā fā xiǎng shēng zhèn biàn tiān xià ， fā diàn guāng shǎn dào dì jí 。

He sends it out under the whole sky, and his lightning to the ends of the earth.

隨後人聽見有雷聲轟轟，大發威嚴， 雷電接連不斷。

suí hòu rén tīng jiàn yǒu léi shēng hōng hōng ， dà fā wēi yán ， léi diàn jiē lián bú duàn 。

After it a voice roars. He thunders with the voice of his majesty. He doesn’t hold back anything when his voice is heard.

上帝發出奇妙的雷聲； 他行大事，我們不能測透。

shén fā chū qí miào de léi shēng ； tā xíng dà shì ， wǒ men bù néng cè tòu 。

God thunders marvelously with his voice. He does great things, which we can’t comprehend.

他對雪說：要降在地上； 對大雨和暴雨也是這樣說。

tā duì xuě shuō ： yào jiàng zài dì shàng ； duì dà yǔ hé bào yǔ yě shì zhè yàng shuō 。

For he says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ likewise to the shower of rain, and to the showers of his mighty rain.

他封住各人的手， 叫所造的萬人都曉得他的作為。

tā fēng zhù gè rén de shǒu ， jiào suǒ zào de wàn rén dōu xiǎo de tā de zuò wéi 。

He seals up the hand of every man, that all men whom he has made may know it.

百獸進入穴中， 臥在洞內。

bǎi shòu jìn rù xué zhōng ， wò zài dòng nèi 。

Then the animals take cover, and remain in their dens.

暴風出於南宮； 寒冷出於北方。

bào fēng chū yú nán gōng ； hán lěng chū yú běi fāng 。

Out of its room comes the storm, and cold out of the north.

上帝噓氣成冰； 寬闊之水也都凝結。

shén xū qì chéng bīng ； kuān kuò zhī shuǐ yě dōu níng jié 。

By the breath of God, ice is given, and the width of the waters is frozen.

他使密雲盛滿水氣， 布散電光之雲；

tā shǐ mì yún shèng mǎn shuǐ qì ， bù sàn diàn guāng zhī yún ；

Yes, he loads the thick cloud with moisture. He spreads abroad the cloud of his lightning.

這雲是藉他的指引游行旋轉， 得以在全地面上行他一切所吩咐的，

zhè yún shì jiè tā de zhǐ yǐn yóu xíng xuán zhuǎn ， dé yǐ zài quán dì miàn shàng xíng tā yí qiè suǒ fēn fù de ，

It is turned around by his guidance, that they may do whatever he commands them on the surface of the habitable world,

或為責罰，或為潤地， 或為施行慈愛。

huò wèi zé fá ， huò wèi rùn dì ， huò wèi shī xíng cí ài 。

whether it is for correction, or for his land, or for loving kindness, that he causes it to come.

約伯啊，你要留心聽， 要站立思想上帝奇妙的作為。

yuē bó a ， nǐ yào liú xīn tīng ， yào zhàn lì sī xiǎng shén qí miào de zuò wéi 。

“Listen to this, Job. Stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.

上帝如何吩咐這些， 如何使雲中的電光照耀，你知道嗎？

shén rú hé fēn fù zhè xiē ， rú hé shǐ yún zhōng de diàn guāng zhào yào ， nǐ zhī dào ma ？

Do you know how God controls them, and causes the lightning of his cloud to shine?

雲彩如何浮於空中， 那知識全備者奇妙的作為，你知道嗎？

yún cǎi rú hé fú yú kōng zhōng ， nà zhī shi quán bèi zhě qí miào de zuò wéi ， nǐ zhī dào ma ？

Do you know the workings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him who is perfect in knowledge?

南風使地寂靜， 你的衣服就如火熱，你知道嗎？

nán fēng shǐ dì jì jìng ， nǐ de yī fu jiù rú huǒ rè ， nǐ zhī dào ma ？

You whose clothing is warm when the earth is still by reason of the south wind?

你豈能與上帝同鋪穹蒼嗎？ 這穹蒼堅硬，如同鑄成的鏡子。

nǐ qǐ néng yǔ shén tóng pù qióng cāng ma ？ zhè qióng cāng jiān yìng ， rú tóng zhù chéng de jìng zi 。

Can you, with him, spread out the sky, which is strong as a cast metal mirror?

我們愚昧不能陳說； 請你指教我們該對他說甚麼話。

wǒ men yú mèi bù néng chén shuō ； qǐng nǐ zhǐ jiào wǒ men gāi duì tā shuō shén me huà 。

Teach us what we will tell him, for we can’t make our case by reason of darkness.

人豈可說：我願與他說話？ 豈有人自願滅亡嗎？

rén qǐ kě shuō ： wǒ yuàn yǔ tā shuō huà ？ qǐ yǒu rén zì yuàn miè wáng ma ？

Will it be told him that I would speak? Or should a man wish that he were swallowed up?

現在有雲遮蔽，人不得見穹蒼的光亮； 但風吹過，天又發晴。

xiàn zài yǒu yún zhē bì ， rén bù dé jiàn qióng cāng de guāng liàng ； dàn fēng chuī guò ， tiān yòu fā qíng 。

Now men don’t see the light which is bright in the skies, but the wind passes, and clears them.

金光出於北方， 在上帝那裏有可怕的威嚴。

jīn guāng chū yú běi fāng ， zài shén nà lǐ yǒu kě pà de wēi yán 。

Out of the north comes golden splendor. With God is awesome majesty.

論到全能者，我們不能測度； 他大有能力，有公平和大義， 必不苦待人。

lùn dào quán néng zhě ， wǒ men bù néng cè dù ； tā dà yǒu néng lì ， yǒu gōng píng hé dà yì ， bì bù kǔ dài rén 。

We can’t reach the Almighty. He is exalted in power. In justice and great righteousness, he will not oppress.

所以，人敬畏他； 凡自以為心中有智慧的人，他都不顧念。

suǒ yǐ ， rén jìng wèi tā ； fán zì yǐ wéi xīn zhōng yǒu zhì huì de rén ， tā dōu bú gù niàn 。

Therefore men revere him. He doesn’t regard any who are wise of heart.”
