士師記 3

耶和華留下這幾族，為要試驗那不曾知道與迦南爭戰之事的以色列人，

yē hé huá liú xià zhè jǐ zú ， wèi yào shì yàn nà bù céng zhī dào yǔ jiā nán zhēng zhàn zhī shì de yǐ sè liè rén ，

Now these are the nations which the LORD left, to test Israel by them, even as many as had not known all the wars of Canaan;

好叫以色列的後代又知道又學習未曾曉得的戰事。

hǎo jiào yǐ sè liè de hòu dài yòu zhī dào yòu xué xí wèi céng xiǎo de de zhàn shì 。

only that the generations of the children of Israel might know, to teach them war, at least those who knew nothing of it before:

所留下的就是非利士的五個首領和一切迦南人、西頓人，並住黎巴嫩山的希未人，從巴力‧黑們山直到哈馬口。

suǒ liú xià de jiù shì fēi lì shì de wǔ gè shǒu lǐng hé yí qiè jiā nán rén 、 xī dùn rén ， bìng zhù lí bā nèn shān de xī wèi rén ， cóng bā lì · hēi men shān zhí dào hā mǎ kǒu 。

the five lords of the Philistines, all the Canaanites, the Sidonians, and the Hivites who lived on Mount Lebanon, from Mount Baal Hermon to the entrance of Hamath.

留下這幾族，為要試驗以色列人，知道他們肯聽從耶和華藉摩西吩咐他們列祖的誡命不肯。

liú xià zhè jǐ zú ， wèi yào shì yàn yǐ sè liè rén ， zhī dào tā men kěn tīng cóng yē hé huá jiè mó xī fēn fù tā men liè zǔ de jiè mìng bù kěn 。

They were left to test Israel by them, to know whether they would listen to the LORD’s commandments, which he commanded their fathers by Moses.

以色列人竟住在迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人中間，

yǐ sè liè rén jìng zhù zài jiā nán rén 、 hè rén 、 yà mó lì rén 、 bǐ lì xǐ rén 、 xī wèi rén 、 yē bù sī rén zhōng jiān ，

The children of Israel lived among the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

娶他們的女兒為妻，將自己的女兒嫁給他們的兒子，並事奉他們的神。

qǔ tā men de nǚ ér wèi qī ， jiāng zì jǐ de nǚ ér jià gěi tā men de ér zi ， bìng shì fèng tā men de shén 。

They took their daughters to be their wives, and gave their own daughters to their sons and served their gods.

以色列人行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，忘記耶和華－他們的上帝，去事奉諸巴力和亞舍拉，

yǐ sè liè rén xíng yē hé huá yǎn zhōng kàn wèi è de shì ， wàng jì yē hé huá — tā men de shén ， qù shì fèng zhū bā lì hé yà shè lā ，

The children of Israel did that which was evil in the LORD’s sight, and forgot the LORD their God, and served the Baals and the Asheroth.

所以耶和華的怒氣向以色列人發作，就把他們交在美索不達米亞王古珊‧利薩田的手中。以色列人服事古珊‧利薩田八年。

suǒ yǐ yē hé huá de nù qì xiàng yǐ sè liè rén fā zuò ， jiù bǎ tā men jiāo zài měi suǒ bù dá mǐ yà wáng gǔ shān · lì sà tián de shǒu zhōng 。 yǐ sè liè rén fú shì gǔ shān · lì sà tián bā nián 。

Therefore the LORD’s anger burned against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of Cushan Rishathaim king of Mesopotamia; and the children of Israel served Cushan Rishathaim eight years.

以色列人呼求耶和華的時候，耶和華就為他們興起一位拯救者救他們，就是迦勒兄弟基納斯的兒子俄陀聶。

yǐ sè liè rén hū qiú yē hé huá de shí hòu ， yē hé huá jiù wèi tā men xīng qǐ yí wèi zhěng jiù zhě jiù tā men ， jiù shì jiā lè xiōng dì jī nà sī de ér zi é tuó niè 。

When the children of Israel cried to the LORD, the LORD raised up a savior to the children of Israel, who saved them, even Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb’s younger brother.

耶和華的靈降在他身上，他就作了以色列的士師，出去爭戰。耶和華將美索不達米亞王古珊‧利薩田交在他手中，他便勝了古珊‧利薩田。

yē hé huá de líng jiàng zài tā shēn shàng ， tā jiù zuò le yǐ sè liè dī shì shī ， chū qù zhēng zhàn 。 yē hé huá jiāng měi suǒ bù dá mǐ yà wáng gǔ shān · lì sà tián jiāo zài tā shǒu zhōng ， tā biàn shèng le gǔ shān · lì sà tián 。

The LORD’s Spirit came on him, and he judged Israel; and he went out to war, and the LORD delivered Cushan Rishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand. His hand prevailed against Cushan Rishathaim.

於是國中太平四十年。基納斯的兒子俄陀聶死了。

yú shì guó zhōng tài píng sì shí nián 。 jī nà sī de ér zi é tuó niè sǐ le 。

The land had rest forty years, then Othniel the son of Kenaz died.

以色列人又行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，耶和華就使摩押王伊磯倫強盛，攻擊以色列人。

yǐ sè liè rén yòu xíng yē hé huá yǎn zhōng kàn wèi è de shì ， yē hé huá jiù shǐ mó yā wáng yī jī lún qiáng shèng ， gōng jī yǐ sè liè rén 。

The children of Israel again did that which was evil in the LORD’s sight, and the LORD strengthened Eglon the king of Moab against Israel, because they had done that which was evil in the LORD’s sight.

伊磯倫招聚亞捫人和亞瑪力人，去攻打以色列人，佔據棕樹城。

yī jī lún zhāo jù yà mén rén hé yà mǎ lì rén ， qù gōng dǎ yǐ sè liè rén ， zhàn jù zōng shù chéng 。

He gathered the children of Ammon and Amalek to himself; and he went and struck Israel, and they possessed the city of palm trees.

於是以色列人服事摩押王伊磯倫十八年。

yú shì yǐ sè liè rén fú shì mó yā wáng yī jī lún shí bā nián 。

The children of Israel served Eglon the king of Moab eighteen years.

以色列人呼求耶和華的時候，耶和華就為他們興起一位拯救者，就是便雅憫人基拉的兒子以笏；他是左手便利的。以色列人託他送禮物給摩押王伊磯倫。

yǐ sè liè rén hū qiú yē hé huá de shí hòu ， yē hé huá jiù wèi tā men xīng qǐ yí wèi zhěng jiù zhě ， jiù shì biàn yǎ mǐn rén jī lā de ér zi yǐ hù ； tā shì zuǒ shǒu biàn lì de 。 yǐ sè liè rén tuō tā sòng lǐ wù gěi mó yā wáng yī jī lún 。

But when the children of Israel cried to the LORD, the LORD raised up a savior for them: Ehud the son of Gera, the Benjamite, a left-handed man. The children of Israel sent tribute by him to Eglon the king of Moab.

以笏打了一把兩刃的劍，長一肘，帶在右腿上衣服裏面。

yǐ hù dǎ le yì bǎ liǎng rèn de jiàn ， cháng yì zhǒu ， dài zài yòu tuǐ shàng yī fu lǐ miàn 。

Ehud made himself a sword which had two edges, a cubit in length; and he wore it under his clothing on his right thigh.

他將禮物獻給摩押王伊磯倫（原來伊磯倫極其肥胖）；

tā jiāng lǐ wù xiàn gěi mó yā wáng yī jī lún （ yuán lái yī jī lún jí qí féi pàng ）；

He offered the tribute to Eglon king of Moab. Now Eglon was a very fat man.

以笏獻完禮物，便將抬禮物的人打發走了，

yǐ hù xiàn wán lǐ wù ， biàn jiāng tái lǐ wù de rén dǎ fā zǒu le ，

When Ehud had finished offering the tribute, he sent away the people who carried the tribute.

自己卻從靠近吉甲鑿石之地回來，說：「王啊，我有一件機密事奏告你。」王說：「迴避吧！」於是左右侍立的人都退去了。

zì jǐ què cóng kào jìn jí jiǎ záo shí zhī dì huí lái ， shuō ：「 wáng a ， wǒ yǒu yí jiàn jī mì shì zòu gào nǐ 。」 wáng shuō ：「 huí bì ba ！」 yú shì zuǒ yòu shì lì de rén dōu tuì qù le 。

But he himself turned back from the stone idols that were by Gilgal, and said, “I have a secret message for you, O king.” The king said, “Keep silence!” All who stood by him left him.

以笏來到王面前；王獨自一人坐在涼樓上。以笏說：「我奉上帝的命報告你一件事。」王就從座位上站起來。

yǐ hù lái dào wáng miàn qián ； wáng dú zì yì rén zuò zài liáng lóu shàng 。 yǐ hù shuō ：「 wǒ fèng shén de mìng bào gào nǐ yí jiàn shì 。」 wáng jiù cóng zuò wèi shàng zhàn qǐ lái 。

Ehud came to him; and he was sitting by himself alone in the cool upper room. Ehud said, “I have a message from God to you.” He arose out of his seat.

以笏便伸左手，從右腿上拔出劍來，刺入王的肚腹，

yǐ hù biàn shēn zuǒ shǒu ， cóng yòu tuǐ shàng bá chū jiàn lái ， cì rù wáng de dù fù ，

Ehud put out his left hand, and took the sword from his right thigh, and thrust it into his body.

連劍把都刺進去了。劍被肥肉夾住，他沒有從王的肚腹拔出來，且穿通了後身。

lián jiàn bǎ dōu cì jìn qù le 。 jiàn bèi féi ròu jiá zhù ， tā méi yǒu cóng wáng de dù fù bá chū lái ， qiě chuān tōng le hòu shēn 。

The handle also went in after the blade; and the fat closed on the blade, for he didn’t draw the sword out of his body; and it came out behind.

以笏就出到遊廊，將樓門盡都關鎖。

yǐ hù jiù chū dào yóu láng ， jiāng lóu mén jìn dōu guān suǒ 。

Then Ehud went out onto the porch, and shut the doors of the upper room on him, and locked them.

以笏出來之後，王的僕人到了，看見樓門關鎖，就說：「他必是在樓上大解。」

yǐ hù chū lái zhī hòu ， wáng de pú rén dào le ， kàn jiàn lóu mén guān suǒ ， jiù shuō ：「 tā bì shì zài lóu shàng dà jiě 。」

After he had gone, his servants came and saw that the doors of the upper room were locked. They said, “Surely he is covering his feet in the upper room.”

他們等煩了，見仍不開樓門，就拿鑰匙開了，不料，他們的主人已死，倒在地上。

tā men děng fán le ， jiàn réng bù kāi lóu mén ， jiù ná yào shi kāi le ， bú liào ， tā men de zhǔ rén yǐ sǐ ， dǎo zài dì shàng 。

They waited until they were ashamed; and behold, he didn’t open the doors of the upper room. Therefore they took the key and opened them, and behold, their lord had fallen down dead on the floor.

他們耽延的時候，以笏就逃跑了，經過鑿石之地，逃到西伊拉；

tā men dān yán de shí hòu ， yǐ hù jiù táo pǎo le ， jīng guò záo shí zhī dì ， táo dào xī yī lā ；

Ehud escaped while they waited, passed beyond the stone idols, and escaped to Seirah.

到了，就在以法蓮山地吹角。以色列人隨着他下了山地，他在前頭引路，

dào le ， jiù zài yǐ fǎ lián shān dì chuī jiǎo 。 yǐ sè liè rén suí zhe tā xià le shān dì ， tā zài qián tou yǐn lù ，

When he had come, he blew a trumpet in the hill country of Ephraim; and the children of Israel went down with him from the hill country, and he led them.

對他們說：「你們隨我來，因為耶和華已經把你們的仇敵摩押人交在你們手中。」於是他們跟着他下去，把守約旦河的渡口，不容摩押一人過去。

duì tā men shuō ：「 nǐ men suí wǒ lái ， yīn wèi yē hé huá yǐ jīng bǎ nǐ men de chóu dí mó yā rén jiāo zài nǐ men shǒu zhōng 。」 yú shì tā men gēn zhe tā xià qù ， bǎ shǒu yuē dàn hé de dù kǒu ， bù róng mó yā yì rén guò qù 。

He said to them, “Follow me; for the LORD has delivered your enemies the Moabites into your hand.” They followed him, and took the fords of the Jordan against the Moabites, and didn’t allow any man to pass over.

那時擊殺了摩押人約有一萬，都是強壯的勇士，沒有一人逃脫。

nà shí jī shā le mó yā rén yuē yǒu yí wàn ， dōu shì qiáng zhuàng de yǒng shì ， méi yǒu yì rén táo tuō 。

They struck at that time about ten thousand men of Moab, every strong man and every man of valor. No man escaped.

這樣，摩押就被以色列人制伏了。國中太平八十年。

zhè yàng ， mó yā jiù bèi yǐ sè liè rén zhì fú le 。 guó zhōng tài píng bā shí nián 。

So Moab was subdued that day under the hand of Israel. Then the land had rest eighty years.

以笏之後，有亞拿的兒子珊迦，他用趕牛的棍子打死六百非利士人。他也救了以色列人。

yǐ hù zhī hòu ， yǒu yà ná de ér zi shān jiā ， tā yòng gǎn niú de gùn zi dǎ sǐ liù bǎi fēi lì shì rén 。 tā yě jiù le yǐ sè liè rén 。

After him was Shamgar the son of Anath, who struck six hundred men of the Philistines with an ox goad. He also saved Israel.
