以色列人出埃及地後，第二年二月初一日，耶和華在西奈的曠野、會幕中曉諭摩西說：

yǐ sè liè rén chū āi jí dì hòu ， dì èr nián èr yuè chū yī rì ， yē hé huá zài xī nài de kuàng yě 、 huì mù zhōng xiǎo yù mó xī shuō ：

The LORD spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the Tent of Meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

「你要按以色列全會眾的家室、宗族、人名的數目計算所有的男丁。

「 nǐ yào àn yǐ sè liè quán huì zhòng de jiā shì 、 zōng zú 、 rén míng de shù mù jì suàn suǒ yǒu de nán dīng 。

“Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, every male, one by one,

凡以色列中，從二十歲以外，能出去打仗的，你和亞倫要照他們的軍隊數點。

fán yǐ sè liè zhōng ， cóng èr shí suì yǐ wài ， néng chū qù dǎ zhàng de ， nǐ hé yà lún yào zhào tā men de jūn duì shù diǎn 。

from twenty years old and upward, all who are able to go out to war in Israel. You and Aaron shall count them by their divisions.

每支派中必有一人作本支派的族長，幫助你們。

měi zhī pài zhōng bì yǒu yì rén zuò běn zhī pài de zú zhǎng ， bāng zhù nǐ men 。

With you there shall be a man of every tribe, each one head of his fathers’ house.

他們的名字：屬呂便的，有示丟珥的兒子以利蓿；

tā men de míng zì ： shǔ lǚ biàn de ， yǒu shì diū ěr de ér zi yǐ lì xu ；

These are the names of the men who shall stand with you: Of Reuben: Elizur the son of Shedeur.

屬西緬的，有蘇利沙代的兒子示路蔑；

shǔ xī miǎn de ， yǒu sū lì shā dài de ér zi shì lù miè ；

Of Simeon: Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

屬猶大的，有亞米拿達的兒子拿順；

shǔ yóu dà de ， yǒu yà mǐ ná dá de ér zi ná shùn ；

Of Judah: Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

屬以薩迦的，有蘇押的兒子拿坦業；

shǔ yǐ sà jiā de ， yǒu sū yā de ér zi ná tǎn yè ；

Of Issachar: Nethanel the son of Zuar.

屬西布倫的，有希倫的兒子以利押；

shǔ xī bù lún de ， yǒu xī lún de ér zi yǐ lì yā ；

Of Zebulun: Eliab the son of Helon.

約瑟子孫、屬以法蓮的，有亞米忽的兒子以利沙瑪；屬瑪拿西的，有比大蓿的兒子迦瑪列；

yuē sè zǐ sūn 、 shǔ yǐ fǎ lián de ， yǒu yà mǐ hū de ér zi yǐ lì shā mǎ ； shǔ mǎ ná xī de ， yǒu bǐ dà xu de ér zi jiā mǎ liè ；

Of the children of Joseph: of Ephraim: Elishama the son of Ammihud; of Manasseh: Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.

屬便雅憫的，有基多尼的兒子亞比但；

shǔ biàn yǎ mǐn de ， yǒu jī duō ní de ér zi yà bǐ dàn ；

Of Benjamin: Abidan the son of Gideoni.

屬但的，有亞米沙代的兒子亞希以謝；

shǔ dàn de ， yǒu yà mǐ shā dài de ér zi yà xī yǐ xiè ；

Of Dan: Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.

屬亞設的，有俄蘭的兒子帕結；

shǔ yà shè de ， yǒu é lán de ér zi pà jié ；

Of Asher: Pagiel the son of Ochran.

屬迦得的，有丟珥的兒子以利雅薩；

shǔ jiā dé de ， yǒu diū ěr de ér zi yǐ lì yǎ sà ；

Of Gad: Eliasaph the son of Deuel.

屬拿弗他利的，有以南的兒子亞希拉。

shǔ ná fú tā lì de ， yǒu yǐ nán de ér zi yà xī lā 。

Of Naphtali: Ahira the son of Enan.”

這都是從會中選召的，各作本支派的首領，都是以色列軍中的統領。」

zhè dōu shì cóng huì zhōng xuǎn zhào de ， gè zuò běn zhī pài de shǒu lǐng ， dōu shì yǐ sè liè jūn zhōng de tǒng lǐng 。」

These are those who were called of the congregation, the princes of the tribes of their fathers; they were the heads of the thousands of Israel.

於是，摩西、亞倫帶着這些按名指定的人，

yú shì ， mó xī 、 yà lún dài zhe zhè xiē àn míng zhǐ dìng de rén ，

Moses and Aaron took these men who are mentioned by name.

當二月初一日招聚全會眾。會眾就照他們的家室、宗族、人名的數目，從二十歲以外的，都述說自己的家譜。

dāng èr yuè chū yī rì zhāo jù quán huì zhòng 。 huì zhòng jiù zhào tā men de jiā shì 、 zōng zú 、 rén míng de shù mù ， cóng èr shí suì yǐ wài de ， dōu shù shuō zì jǐ de jiā pǔ 。

They assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month; and they declared their ancestry by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, one by one.

耶和華怎樣吩咐摩西，他就怎樣在西奈的曠野數點他們。

yē hé huá zěn yàng fēn fù mó xī ， tā jiù zěn yàng zài xī nài de kuàng yě shù diǎn tā men 。

As the LORD commanded Moses, so he counted them in the wilderness of Sinai.

以色列的長子，呂便子孫的後代，照着家室、宗族、人名的數目，從二十歲以外，凡能出去打仗、被數的男丁，共有四萬六千五百名。

yǐ sè liè de zhǎng zǐ ， lǚ biàn zǐ sūn de hòu dài ， zhào zhe jiā shì 、 zōng zú 、 rén míng de shù mù ， cóng èr shí suì yǐ wài ， fán néng chū qù dǎ zhàng 、 bèi shù de nán dīng ， gòng yǒu sì wàn liù qiān wǔ bǎi míng 。

The children of Reuben, Israel’s firstborn, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, one by one, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:

those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Reuben, were forty-six thousand five hundred.

西緬子孫的後代，照着家室、宗族、人名的數目，從二十歲以外，凡能出去打仗、被數的男丁，共有五萬九千三百名。

xī miǎn zǐ sūn de hòu dài ， zhào zhe jiā shì 、 zōng zú 、 rén míng de shù mù ， cóng èr shí suì yǐ wài ， fán néng chū qù dǎ zhàng 、 bèi shù de nán dīng ， gòng yǒu wǔ wàn jiǔ qiān sān bǎi míng 。

Of the children of Simeon, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, those who were counted of it, according to the number of the names, one by one, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:

those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty-nine thousand three hundred.

迦得子孫的後代，照着家室、宗族、人名的數目，從二十歲以外，凡能出去打仗、被數的，共有四萬五千六百五十名。

jiā dé zǐ sūn de hòu dài ， zhào zhe jiā shì 、 zōng zú 、 rén míng de shù mù ， cóng èr shí suì yǐ wài ， fán néng chū qù dǎ zhàng 、 bèi shù de ， gòng yǒu sì wàn wǔ qiān liù bǎi wǔ shí míng 。

Of the children of Gad, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:

those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Gad, were forty-five thousand six hundred fifty.

猶大子孫的後代，照着家室、宗族、人名的數目，從二十歲以外，凡能出去打仗、被數的，共有七萬四千六百名。

yóu dà zǐ sūn de hòu dài ， zhào zhe jiā shì 、 zōng zú 、 rén míng de shù mù ， cóng èr shí suì yǐ wài ， fán néng chū qù dǎ zhàng 、 bèi shù de ， gòng yǒu qī wàn sì qiān liù bǎi míng 。

Of the children of Judah, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:

those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Judah, were seventy-four thousand six hundred.

以薩迦子孫的後代，照着家室、宗族、人名的數目，從二十歲以外，凡能出去打仗、被數的，共有五萬四千四百名。

yǐ sà jiā zǐ sūn de hòu dài ， zhào zhe jiā shì 、 zōng zú 、 rén míng de shù mù ， cóng èr shí suì yǐ wài ， fán néng chū qù dǎ zhàng 、 bèi shù de ， gòng yǒu wǔ wàn sì qiān sì bǎi míng 。

Of the children of Issachar, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:

those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Issachar, were fifty-four thousand four hundred.

西布倫子孫的後代，照着家室、宗族、人名的數目，從二十歲以外，凡能出去打仗、被數的，共有五萬七千四百名。

xī bù lún zǐ sūn de hòu dài ， zhào zhe jiā shì 、 zōng zú 、 rén míng de shù mù ， cóng èr shí suì yǐ wài ， fán néng chū qù dǎ zhàng 、 bèi shù de ， gòng yǒu wǔ wàn qī qiān sì bǎi míng 。

Of the children of Zebulun, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:

those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Zebulun, were fifty-seven thousand four hundred.

約瑟子孫屬以法蓮子孫的後代，照着家室、宗族、人名的數目，從二十歲以外，凡能出去打仗、被數的，共有四萬零五百名。

yuē sè zǐ sūn shǔ yǐ fǎ lián zǐ sūn de hòu dài ， zhào zhe jiā shì 、 zōng zú 、 rén míng de shù mù ， cóng èr shí suì yǐ wài ， fán néng chū qù dǎ zhàng 、 bèi shù de ， gòng yǒu sì wàn líng wǔ bǎi míng 。

Of the children of Joseph: of the children of Ephraim, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:

those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Ephraim, were forty thousand five hundred.

瑪拿西子孫的後代，照着家室、宗族、人名的數目，從二十歲以外，凡能出去打仗、被數的，共有三萬二千二百名。

mǎ ná xī zǐ sūn de hòu dài ， zhào zhe jiā shì 、 zōng zú 、 rén míng de shù mù ， cóng èr shí suì yǐ wài ， fán néng chū qù dǎ zhàng 、 bèi shù de ， gòng yǒu sān wàn èr qiān èr bǎi míng 。

Of the children of Manasseh, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:

those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Manasseh, were thirty-two thousand two hundred.

便雅憫子孫的後代，照着家室、宗族、人名的數目，從二十歲以外，凡能出去打仗、被數的，共有三萬五千四百名。

biàn yǎ mǐn zǐ sūn de hòu dài ， zhào zhe jiā shì 、 zōng zú 、 rén míng de shù mù ， cóng èr shí suì yǐ wài ， fán néng chū qù dǎ zhàng 、 bèi shù de ， gòng yǒu sān wàn wǔ qiān sì bǎi míng 。

Of the children of Benjamin, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:

those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Benjamin, were thirty-five thousand four hundred.

但子孫的後代，照着家室、宗族、人名的數目，從二十歲以外，凡能出去打仗、被數的，共有六萬二千七百名。

dàn zǐ sūn de hòu dài ， zhào zhe jiā shì 、 zōng zú 、 rén míng de shù mù ， cóng èr shí suì yǐ wài ， fán néng chū qù dǎ zhàng 、 bèi shù de ， gòng yǒu liù wàn èr qiān qī bǎi míng 。

Of the children of Dan, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:

those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Dan, were sixty-two thousand seven hundred.

亞設子孫的後代，照着家室、宗族、人名的數目，從二十歲以外，凡能出去打仗、被數的，共有四萬一千五百名。

yà shè zǐ sūn de hòu dài ， zhào zhe jiā shì 、 zōng zú 、 rén míng de shù mù ， cóng èr shí suì yǐ wài ， fán néng chū qù dǎ zhàng 、 bèi shù de ， gòng yǒu sì wàn yī qiān wǔ bǎi míng 。

Of the children of Asher, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:

those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Asher, were forty-one thousand five hundred.

拿弗他利子孫的後代，照着家室、宗族、人名的數目，從二十歲以外，凡能出去打仗、被數的，共有五萬三千四百名。

ná fú tā lì zǐ sūn de hòu dài ， zhào zhe jiā shì 、 zōng zú 、 rén míng de shù mù ， cóng èr shí suì yǐ wài ， fán néng chū qù dǎ zhàng 、 bèi shù de ， gòng yǒu wǔ wàn sān qiān sì bǎi míng 。

Of the children of Naphtali, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:

those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty-three thousand four hundred.

這些就是被數點的，是摩西、亞倫，和以色列中十二個首領所數點的；這十二個人各作各宗族的代表。

zhè xiē jiù shì bèi shù diǎn de ， shì mó xī 、 yà lún ， hé yǐ sè liè zhōng shí èr gè shǒu lǐng suǒ shù diǎn de ； zhè shí èr gè rén gè zuò gè zōng zú de dài biǎo 。

These are those who were counted, whom Moses and Aaron counted, and the twelve men who were princes of Israel, each one for his fathers’ house.

這樣，凡以色列人中被數的，照着宗族，從二十歲以外，能出去打仗、被數的，共有六十萬零三千五百五十名。

zhè yàng ， fán yǐ sè liè rén zhōng bèi shù de ， zhào zhe zōng zú ， cóng èr shí suì yǐ wài ， néng chū qù dǎ zhàng 、 bèi shù de ， gòng yǒu liù shí wàn líng sān qiān wǔ bǎi wǔ shí míng 。

So all those who were counted of the children of Israel by their fathers’ houses, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war in Israel—

all those who were counted were six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty.

利未人卻沒有按着支派數在其中，

lì wèi rén què méi yǒu àn zhe zhī pài shù zài qí zhōng ，

But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not counted among them.

因為耶和華曉諭摩西說：

yīn wèi yē hé huá xiǎo yù mó xī shuō ：

For the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

「惟獨利未支派你不可數點，也不可在以色列人中計算他們的總數。

「 wéi dú lì wèi zhī pài nǐ bù kě shù diǎn ， yě bù kě zài yǐ sè liè rén zhòng jì suàn tā men de zǒng shù 。

“Only the tribe of Levi you shall not count, neither shall you take a census of them among the children of Israel;

只要派利未人管法櫃的帳幕和其中的器具，並屬乎帳幕的；他們要抬 帳幕和其中的器具，並要辦理帳幕的事，在帳幕的四圍安營。

zhǐ yào pài lì wèi rén guǎn fǎ guì de zhàng mù hé qí zhōng de qì jù ， bìng shǔ hū zhàng mù de ； tā men yào tái zhàng mù hé qí zhōng de qì jù ， bìng yào bàn lǐ zhàng mù de shì ， zài zhàng mù de sì wéi ān yíng 。

but appoint the Levites over the Tabernacle of the Testimony, and over all its furnishings, and over all that belongs to it. They shall carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings; and they shall take care of it, and shall encamp around it.

帳幕將往前行的時候，利未人要拆卸；將支搭的時候，利未人要豎起。近前來的外人必被治死。

zhàng mù jiāng wǎng qián xíng de shí hòu ， lì wèi rén yào chāi xiè ； jiāng zhī dā de shí hòu ， lì wèi rén yào shù qǐ 。 jìn qián lái de wài rén bì bèi zhì sǐ 。

When the tabernacle is to move, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites shall set it up. The stranger who comes near shall be put to death.

以色列人支搭帳棚，要照他們的軍隊，各歸本營，各歸本纛。

yǐ sè liè rén zhī dā zhàng péng ， yào zhào tā men de jūn duì ， gè guī běn yíng ， gè guī běn dào 。

The children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, according to their divisions.

但利未人要在法櫃帳幕的四圍安營，免得忿怒臨到以色列會眾；利未人並要謹守法櫃的帳幕。」

dàn lì wèi rén yào zài fǎ guì zhàng mù de sì wéi ān yíng ， miǎn dé fèn nù lín dào yǐ sè liè huì zhòng ； lì wèi rén bìng yào jǐn shǒu fǎ guì de zhàng mù 。」

But the Levites shall encamp around the Tabernacle of the Testimony, that there may be no wrath on the congregation of the children of Israel. The Levites shall be responsible for the Tabernacle of the Testimony.”

以色列人就這樣行。凡耶和華所吩咐摩西的，他們就照樣行了。

yǐ sè liè rén jiù zhè yàng xíng 。 fán yē hé huá suǒ fēn fù mó xī de ， tā men jiù zhào yàng xíng le 。

Thus the children of Israel did. According to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so they did.
