呂便子孫和迦得子孫的牲畜極其眾多；他們看見雅謝地和基列地是可牧放牲畜之地，
lǚ biàn zǐ sūn hé jiā dé zǐ sūn de shēng chù jí qí zhòng duō ； tā men kàn jiàn yǎ xiè dì hé jī liè dì shì kě mù fàng shēng chù zhī dì ，
Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of livestock. They saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead. Behold, the place was a place for livestock.
就來見摩西和祭司以利亞撒，並會眾的首領，說：
jiù lái jiàn mó xī hé jì sī yǐ lì yà sā ， bìng huì zhòng de shǒu lǐng ， shuō ：
Then the children of Gad and the children of Reuben came and spoke to Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and to the princes of the congregation, saying,
「亞大錄、底本、雅謝、寧拉、希實本、以利亞利、示班、尼波、比穩，
「 yà dà lù 、 dǐ běn 、 yǎ xiè 、 níng lā 、 xī shí běn 、 yǐ lì yà lì 、 shì bān 、 ní bō 、 bǐ wěn ，
“Ataroth, Dibon, Jazer, Nimrah, Heshbon, Elealeh, Sebam, Nebo, and Beon,
就是耶和華在以色列會眾前面所攻取之地，是可牧放牲畜之地，你僕人也有牲畜」；
jiù shì yē hé huá zài yǐ sè liè huì zhòng qián miàn suǒ gōng qǔ zhī dì ， shì kě mù fàng shēng chù zhī dì ， nǐ pú rén yě yǒu shēng chù 」；
the land which the LORD struck before the congregation of Israel, is a land for livestock; and your servants have livestock.”
又說：「我們若在你眼前蒙恩，求你把這地給我們為業，不要領我們過約旦河。」
yòu shuō ：「 wǒ men ruò zài nǐ yǎn qián méng ēn ， qiú nǐ bǎ zhè dì gěi wǒ men wèi yè ， bú yào lǐng wǒ men guò yuē dàn hé 。」
They said, “If we have found favor in your sight, let this land be given to your servants for a possession. Don’t bring us over the Jordan.”
摩西對迦得子孫和呂便子孫說：「難道你們的弟兄去打仗，你們竟坐在這裏嗎？
mó xī duì jiā dé zǐ sūn hé lǚ biàn zǐ sūn shuō ：「 nán dào nǐ men de dì xiong qù dǎ zhàng ， nǐ men jìng zuò zài zhè lǐ ma ？
Moses said to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, “Shall your brothers go to war while you sit here?
你們為何使以色列人灰心喪膽、不過去進入耶和華所賜給他們的那地呢？
nǐ men wèi hé shǐ yǐ sè liè rén huī xīn sàng dǎn 、 bú guò qù jìn rù yē hé huá suǒ cì gěi tā men de nà dì ne ？
Why do you discourage the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the land which the LORD has given them?
我先前從加低斯‧巴尼亞打發你們先祖去窺探那地，他們也是這樣行。
wǒ xiān qián cóng jiā dī sī · bā ní yà dǎ fā nǐ men xiān zǔ qù kuī tàn nà dì ， tā men yě shì zhè yàng xíng 。
Your fathers did so when I sent them from Kadesh Barnea to see the land.
他們上以實各谷，去窺探那地回來的時候，使以色列人灰心喪膽，不進入耶和華所賜給他們的地。
tā men shàng yǐ shí gè gǔ ， qù kuī tàn nà dì huí lái de shí hòu ， shǐ yǐ sè liè rén huī xīn sàng dǎn ， bú jìn rù yē hé huá suǒ cì gěi tā men de dì 。
For when they went up to the valley of Eshcol, and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, that they should not go into the land which the LORD had given them.
當日，耶和華的怒氣發作，就起誓說：
dāng rì ， yē hé huá de nù qì fā zuò ， jiù qǐ shì shuō ：
The LORD’s anger burned in that day, and he swore, saying,
『凡從埃及上來、二十歲以外的人斷不得看見我對亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓應許之地，因為他們沒有專心跟從我。
『 fán cóng āi jí shàng lái 、 èr shí suì yǐ wài de rén duàn bù dé kàn jiàn wǒ duì yà bó lā hǎn 、 yǐ sā 、 yǎ gè qǐ shì yīng xǔ zhī dì ， yīn wèi tā men méi yǒu zhuān xīn gēn cóng wǒ 。
‘Surely none of the men who came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me,
惟有基尼洗族耶孚尼的兒子迦勒和嫩的兒子約書亞可以看見，因為他們專心跟從我。』
wéi yǒu jī ní xǐ zú yē fú ní de ér zi jiā lè hé nèn de ér zi yuē shū yà kě yǐ kàn jiàn ， yīn wèi tā men zhuān xīn gēn cóng wǒ 。』
except Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite, and Joshua the son of Nun, because they have followed the LORD completely.’
耶和華的怒氣向以色列人發作，使他們在曠野飄流四十年，等到在耶和華眼前行惡的那一代人都消滅了。
yē hé huá de nù qì xiàng yǐ sè liè rén fā zuò ， shǐ tā men zài kuàng yě piāo liú sì shí nián ， děng dào zài yē hé huá yǎn qián xíng è de nà yí dài rén dōu xiāo miè le 。
The LORD’s anger burned against Israel, and he made them wander back and forth in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation who had done evil in the LORD’s sight was consumed.
誰知，你們起來接續先祖，增添罪人的數目，使耶和華向以色列大發烈怒。
shuí zhī ， nǐ men qǐ lái jiē xù xiān zǔ ， zēng tiān zuì rén de shù mù ， shǐ yē hé huá xiàng yǐ sè liè dà fā liè nù 。
“Behold, you have risen up in your fathers’ place, an increase of sinful men, to increase the fierce anger of the LORD toward Israel.
你們若退後不跟從他，他還要把以色列人撇在曠野，便是你們使這眾民滅亡。」
nǐ men ruò tuì hòu bù gēn cóng tā ， tā hái yào bǎ yǐ sè liè rén piě zài kuàng yě ， biàn shì nǐ men shǐ zhè zhòng mín miè wáng 。」
For if you turn away from after him, he will yet again leave them in the wilderness; and you will destroy all these people.”
兩支派的人挨近摩西，說：「我們要在這裏為牲畜壘圈，為婦人孩子造城。
liǎng zhī pài de rén āi jìn mó xī ， shuō ：「 wǒ men yào zài zhè lǐ wèi shēng chù lěi quān ， wèi fù rén hái zi zào chéng 。
They came near to him, and said, “We will build sheepfolds here for our livestock, and cities for our little ones;
我們自己要帶兵器行在以色列人的前頭，好把他們領到他們的地方；但我們的婦人孩子，因這地居民的緣故，要住在堅固的城內。
wǒ men zì jǐ yào dài bīng qì xíng zài yǐ sè liè rén de qián tou ， hǎo bǎ tā men lǐng dào tā men de dì fāng ； dàn wǒ men de fù rén hái zi ， yīn zhè dì jū mín de yuán gù ， yào zhù zài jiān gù de chéng nèi 。
but we ourselves will be ready armed to go before the children of Israel, until we have brought them to their place. Our little ones shall dwell in the fortified cities because of the inhabitants of the land.
我們不回家，直等到以色列人各承受自己的產業。
wǒ men bù huí jiā ， zhí děng dào yǐ sè liè rén gè chéng shòu zì jǐ de chǎn yè 。
We will not return to our houses until the children of Israel have all received their inheritance.
我們不和他們在約旦河那邊一帶之地同受產業，因為我們的產業是坐落在約旦河東邊這裏。」
wǒ men bù hé tā men zài yuē dàn hé nà biān yí dài zhī dì tóng shòu chǎn yè ， yīn wèi wǒ men de chǎn yè shì zuò luò zài yuē dàn hé dōng biān zhè lǐ 。」
For we will not inherit with them on the other side of the Jordan and beyond, because our inheritance has come to us on this side of the Jordan eastward.”
摩西對他們說：「你們若這樣行，在耶和華面前帶着兵器出去打仗，
mó xī duì tā men shuō ：「 nǐ men ruò zhè yàng xíng ， zài yē hé huá miàn qián dài zhe bīng qì chū qù dǎ zhàng ，
Moses said to them: “If you will do this thing, if you will arm yourselves to go before the LORD to the war,
所有帶兵器的人都要在耶和華面前過約旦河，等他趕出他的仇敵，
suǒ yǒu dài bīng qì de rén dōu yào zài yē hé huá miàn qián guò yuē dàn hé ， děng tā gǎn chū tā de chóu dí ，
and every one of your armed men will pass over the Jordan before the LORD until he has driven out his enemies from before him,
那地被耶和華制伏了，然後你們可以回來，向耶和華和以色列才為無罪，這地也必在耶和華面前歸你們為業。
nà dì bèi yē hé huá zhì fú le ， rán hòu nǐ men kě yǐ huí lái ， xiàng yē hé huá hé yǐ sè liè cái wèi wú zuì ， zhè dì yě bì zài yē hé huá miàn qián guī nǐ men wèi yè 。
and the land is subdued before the LORD; then afterward you shall return, and be clear of obligation to the LORD and to Israel. Then this land shall be your possession before the LORD.
倘若你們不這樣行，就得罪耶和華，要知道你們的罪必追上你們。
tǎng ruò nǐ men bú zhè yàng xíng ， jiù dé zuì yē hé huá ， yào zhī dào nǐ men de zuì bì zhuī shàng nǐ men 。
“But if you will not do so, behold, you have sinned against the LORD; and be sure your sin will find you out.
如今你們口中所出的，只管去行，為你們的婦人孩子造城，為你們的羊群壘圈。」
rú jīn nǐ men kǒu zhōng suǒ chū de ， zhī guǎn qù xíng ， wèi nǐ men de fù rén hái zi zào chéng ， wèi nǐ men de yáng qún lěi quān 。」
Build cities for your little ones, and folds for your sheep; and do that which has proceeded out of your mouth.”
迦得子孫和呂便子孫對摩西說：「僕人要照我主所吩咐的去行。
jiā dé zǐ sūn hé lǚ biàn zǐ sūn duì mó xī shuō ：「 pú rén yào zhào wǒ zhǔ suǒ fēn fù de qù xíng 。
The children of Gad and the children of Reuben spoke to Moses, saying, “Your servants will do as my lord commands.
我們的妻子、孩子、羊群，和所有的牲畜都要留在基列的各城。
wǒ men de qī zǐ 、 hái zi 、 yáng qún ， hé suǒ yǒu de shēng chù dōu yào liú zài jī liè de gè chéng 。
Our little ones, our wives, our flocks, and all our livestock shall be there in the cities of Gilead;
但你的僕人，凡帶兵器的，都要照我主所說的話，在耶和華面前過去打仗。」
dàn nǐ de pú rén ， fán dài bīng qì de ， dōu yào zhào wǒ zhǔ suǒ shuō de huà ， zài yē hé huá miàn qián guò qù dǎ zhàng 。」
but your servants will pass over, every man who is armed for war, before the LORD to battle, as my lord says.”
於是，摩西為他們囑咐祭司以利亞撒和嫩的兒子約書亞，並以色列眾支派的族長，說：
yú shì ， mó xī wèi tā men zhǔ fù jì sī yǐ lì yà sā hé nèn de ér zi yuē shū yà ， bìng yǐ sè liè zhòng zhī pài de zú zhǎng ， shuō ：
So Moses commanded concerning them to Eleazar the priest, and to Joshua the son of Nun, and to the heads of the fathers’ households of the tribes of the children of Israel.
「迦得子孫和呂便子孫，凡帶兵器在耶和華面前去打仗的，若與你們一同過約旦河，那地被你們制伏了，你們就要把基列地給他們為業。
「 jiā dé zǐ sūn hé lǚ biàn zǐ sūn ， fán dài bīng qì zài yē hé huá miàn qián qù dǎ zhàng de ， ruò yǔ nǐ men yì tóng guò yuē dàn hé ， nà dì bèi nǐ men zhì fú le ， nǐ men jiù yào bǎ jī liè dì gěi tā men wèi yè 。
Moses said to them, “If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben will pass with you over the Jordan, every man who is armed to battle before the LORD, and the land is subdued before you, then you shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession;
倘若他們不帶兵器和你們一同過去，就要在迦南地你們中間得產業。」
tǎng ruò tā men bú dài bīng qì hé nǐ men yì tóng guò qù ， jiù yào zài jiā nán dì nǐ men zhōng jiān dé chǎn yè 。」
but if they will not pass over with you armed, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan.”
迦得子孫和呂便子孫回答說：「耶和華怎樣吩咐僕人，僕人就怎樣行。
jiā dé zǐ sūn hé lǚ biàn zǐ sūn huí dá shuō ：「 yē hé huá zěn yàng fēn fù pú rén ， pú rén jiù zěn yàng xíng 。
The children of Gad and the children of Reuben answered, saying, “As the LORD has said to your servants, so will we do.
我們要帶兵器，在耶和華面前過去，進入迦南地，只是約旦河這邊、我們所得為業之地仍歸我們。」
wǒ men yào dài bīng qì ， zài yē hé huá miàn qián guò qù ， jìn rù jiā nán dì ， zhǐ shì yuē dàn hé zhè biān 、 wǒ men suǒ dé wèi yè zhī dì réng guī wǒ men 。」
We will pass over armed before the LORD into the land of Canaan, and the possession of our inheritance shall remain with us beyond the Jordan.”
摩西將亞摩利王西宏的國和巴珊王噩的國，連那地和周圍的城邑，都給了迦得子孫和呂便子孫，並約瑟的兒子瑪拿西半個支派。
mó xī jiāng yà mó lì wáng xī hóng de guó hé bā shān wáng è de guó ， lián nà dì hé zhōu wéi de chéng yì ， dōu gěi le jiā dé zǐ sūn hé lǚ biàn zǐ sūn ， bìng yuē sè de ér zi mǎ ná xī bàn gè zhī pài 。
Moses gave to them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan; the land, according to its cities and borders, even the cities of the surrounding land.
迦得子孫建造底本、亞他錄、亞羅珥、
jiā dé zǐ sūn jiàn zào dǐ běn 、 yà tā lù 、 yà luó ěr 、
The children of Gad built Dibon, Ataroth, Aroer,
伯‧寧拉、伯‧哈蘭，都是堅固城。他們又壘羊圈。
bó · níng lā 、 bó · hā lán ， dōu shì jiān gù chéng 。 tā men yòu lěi yáng juàn 。
Beth Nimrah, and Beth Haran: fortified cities and folds for sheep.
呂便子孫建造希實本、以利亞利、基列亭、
lǚ biàn zǐ sūn jiàn zào xī shí běn 、 yǐ lì yà lì 、 jī liè tíng 、
The children of Reuben built Heshbon, Elealeh, Kiriathaim,
尼波、巴力‧免、西比瑪（尼波、巴力‧免，名字是改了的），又給他們所建造的城另起別名。
ní bō 、 bā lì · miǎn 、 xī bǐ mǎ （ ní bō 、 bā lì · miǎn ， míng zì shì gǎi le de ）， yòu gěi tā men suǒ jiàn zào de chéng lìng qǐ bié míng 。
Nebo, and Baal Meon, (their names being changed), and Sibmah. They gave other names to the cities which they built.
瑪拿西的兒子瑪吉，他的子孫往基列去，佔了那地，趕出那裏的亞摩利人。
mǎ ná xī de ér zi mǎ jí ， tā de zǐ sūn wǎng jī liè qù ， zhàn le nà dì ， gǎn chū nà lǐ de yà mó lì rén 。
The children of Machir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead, took it, and dispossessed the Amorites who were therein.
摩西將基列賜給瑪拿西的兒子瑪吉，他子孫就住在那裏。
mó xī jiāng jī liè cì gěi mǎ ná xī de ér zi mǎ jí ， tā zǐ sūn jiù zhù zài nà lǐ 。
Moses gave Gilead to Machir the son of Manasseh; and he lived therein.
瑪拿西的子孫睚珥去佔了基列的村莊，就稱這些村莊為哈倭特‧睚珥。
mǎ ná xī de zǐ sūn yá ěr qù zhàn le jī liè de cūn zhuāng ， jiù chēng zhè xiē cūn zhuāng wèi hā wō tè · yá ěr 。
Jair the son of Manasseh went and took its villages, and called them Havvoth Jair.
挪巴去佔了基納和基納的鄉村，就按自己的名稱基納為挪巴。
nuó bā qù zhàn le jī nà hé jī nà de xiāng cūn ， jiù àn zì jǐ de míng chēng jī nà wèi nuó bā 。
Nobah went and took Kenath and its villages, and called it Nobah, after his own name.
