Proverbs 12

喜爱管教的，就是喜爱知识； 恨恶责备的，却是畜类。

xǐ ài guǎn jiào de ， jiù shì xǐ ài zhī shi ； hèn è zé bèi de ， què shì chù lèi 。

Whoever loves correction loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid.

善人必蒙耶和华的恩惠； 设诡计的人，耶和华必定他的罪。

shàn rén bì méng yē hé huá de ēn huì ； shè guǐ jì de rén ， yē hé huá bì dìng tā de zuì 。

A good man shall obtain favor from the LORD, but he will condemn a man of wicked plans.

人靠恶行不能坚立； 义人的根必不动摇。

rén kào è xíng bù néng jiān lì ； yì rén de gēn bì bú dòng yáo 。

A man shall not be established by wickedness, but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.

才德的妇人是丈夫的冠冕； 贻羞的妇人如同朽烂在她丈夫的骨中。

cái dé de fù rén shì zhàng fu de guān miǎn ； yí xiū de fù rén rú tóng xiǔ làn zài tā zhàng fu de gǔ zhōng 。

A worthy woman is the crown of her husband, but a disgraceful wife is as rottenness in his bones.

义人的思念是公平； 恶人的计谋是诡诈。

yì rén de sī niàn shì gōng píng ； è rén de jì móu shì guǐ zhà 。

The thoughts of the righteous are just, but the advice of the wicked is deceitful.

恶人的言论是埋伏流人的血； 正直人的口必拯救人。

è rén de yán lùn shì mái fú liú rén de xuè ； zhèng zhí rén de kǒu bì zhěng jiù rén 。

The words of the wicked are about lying in wait for blood, but the speech of the upright rescues them.

恶人倾覆，归于无有； 义人的家必站得住。

è rén qīng fù ， guī yú wú yǒu ； yì rén de jiā bì zhàn dé zhù 。

The wicked are overthrown, and are no more, but the house of the righteous shall stand.

人必按自己的智慧被称赞； 心中乖谬的，必被藐视。

rén bì àn zì jǐ de zhì huì bèi chēng zàn ； xīn zhōng guāi miù de ， bì bèi miǎo shì 。

A man shall be commended according to his wisdom, but he who has a warped mind shall be despised.

被人轻贱，却有仆人， 强如自尊，缺少食物。

bèi rén qīng jiàn ， què yǒu pú rén ， qiáng rú zì zūn ， quē shǎo shí wù 。

Better is he who is little known, and has a servant, than he who honors himself and lacks bread.

义人顾惜他牲畜的命； 恶人的怜悯也是残忍。

yì rén gù xī tā shēng chù de mìng ； è rén de lián mǐn yě shì cán rěn 。

A righteous man respects the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.

耕种自己田地的，必得饱食； 追随虚浮的，却是无知。

gēng zhǒng zì jǐ tián dì de ， bì dé bǎo shí ； zhuī suí xū fú de ， què shì wú zhī 。

He who tills his land shall have plenty of bread, but he who chases fantasies is void of understanding.

恶人想得坏人的网罗； 义人的根得以结实。

è rén xiǎng dé huài rén de wǎng luó ； yì rén de gēn dé yǐ jiē shi 。

The wicked desires the plunder of evil men, but the root of the righteous flourishes.

恶人嘴中的过错是自己的网罗； 但义人必脱离患难。

è rén zuǐ zhōng de guò cuò shì zì jǐ de wǎng luó ； dàn yì rén bì tuō lí huàn nàn 。

An evil man is trapped by sinfulness of lips, but the righteous shall come out of trouble.

人因口所结的果子，必饱得美福； 人手所做的，必为自己的报应。

rén yīn kǒu suǒ jié de guǒ zǐ ， bì bǎo dé měi fú ； rén shǒu suǒ zuò de ， bì wèi zì jǐ de bào yìng 。

A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth. The work of a man’s hands shall be rewarded to him.

愚妄人所行的，在自己眼中看为正直； 惟智慧人肯听人的劝教。

yú wàng rén suǒ xíng de ， zài zì jǐ yǎn zhōng kàn wèi zhèng zhí ； wéi zhì huì rén kěn tīng rén de quàn jiào 。

The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he who is wise listens to counsel.

愚妄人的恼怒立时显露； 通达人能忍辱藏羞。

yú wàng rén de nǎo nù lì shí xiǎn lù ； tōng dá rén néng rěn rǔ cáng xiū 。

A fool shows his annoyance the same day, but one who overlooks an insult is prudent.

说出真话的，显明公义； 作假见证的，显出诡诈。

shuō chū zhēn huà de ， xiǎn míng gōng yì ； zuò jiǎ jiàn zhèng de ， xiǎn chū guǐ zhà 。

He who is truthful testifies honestly, but a false witness lies.

说话浮躁的，如刀刺人； 智慧人的舌头却为医人的良药。

shuō huà fú zào de ， rú dāo cì rén ； zhì huì rén de shé tou què wèi yī rén de liáng yào 。

There is one who speaks rashly like the piercing of a sword, but the tongue of the wise heals.

口吐真言，永远坚立； 舌说谎话，只存片时。

kǒu tǔ zhēn yán ， yǒng yuǎn jiān lì ； shé shuō huǎng huà ， zhī cún piàn shí 。

Truth’s lips will be established forever, but a lying tongue is only momentary.

图谋恶事的，心存诡诈； 劝人和睦的，便得喜乐。

tú móu è shì de ， xīn cún guǐ zhà ； quàn rén hé mù de ， biàn dé xǐ lè 。

Deceit is in the heart of those who plot evil, but joy comes to the promoters of peace.

义人不遭灾害；恶人满受祸患。

yì rén bù zāo zāi hài ； è rén mǎn shòu huò huàn 。

No mischief shall happen to the righteous, but the wicked shall be filled with evil.

说谎言的嘴为耶和华所憎恶； 行事诚实的，为他所喜悦。

shuō huǎng yán de zuǐ wèi yē hé huá suǒ zēng wù ； xíng shì chéng shí de ， wèi tā suǒ xǐ yuè 。

Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, but those who do the truth are his delight.

通达人隐藏知识； 愚昧人的心彰显愚昧。

tōng dá rén yǐn cáng zhī shi ； yú mèi rén de xīn zhāng xiǎn yú mèi 。

A prudent man keeps his knowledge, but the hearts of fools proclaim foolishness.

殷勤人的手必掌权； 懒惰的人必服苦。

yīn qín rén de shǒu bì zhǎng quán ； lǎn duò de rén bì fú kǔ 。

The hands of the diligent ones shall rule, but laziness ends in slave labor.

人心忧虑，屈而不伸； 一句良言，使心欢乐。

rén xīn yōu lǜ ， qū ér bù shēn ； yí jù liáng yán ， shǐ xīn huān lè 。

Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, but a kind word makes it glad.

义人引导他的邻舍； 恶人的道叫人失迷。

yì rén yǐn dǎo tā de lín shè ； è rén de dào jiào rén shī mí 。

A righteous person is cautious in friendship, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.

懒惰的人不烤打猎所得的； 殷勤的人却得宝贵的财物。

lǎn duò de rén bù kǎo dǎ liè suǒ dé de ； yīn qín de rén què dé bǎo guì de cái wù 。

The slothful man doesn’t roast his game, but the possessions of diligent men are prized.

在公义的道上有生命； 其路之中并无死亡。

zài gōng yì de dào shàng yǒu shēng mìng ； qí lù zhī zhōng bìng wú sǐ wáng 。

In the way of righteousness is life; in its path there is no death.
