Proverbs 22
美名胜过大财; 恩宠强如金银。
měi míng shèng guò dà cái ; ēn chǒng qiáng rú jīn yín 。
A good name is more desirable than great riches, and loving favor is better than silver and gold.
富户穷人在世相遇, 都为耶和华所造。
fù hù qióng rén zài shì xiāng yù , dōu wèi yē hé huá suǒ zào 。
The rich and the poor have this in common: The LORD is the maker of them all.
通达人见祸藏躲; 愚蒙人前往受害。
tōng dá rén jiàn huò cáng duǒ ; yú méng rén qián wǎng shòu hài 。
A prudent man sees danger and hides himself; but the simple pass on, and suffer for it.
敬畏耶和华心存谦卑, 就得富有、尊荣、生命为赏赐。
jìng wèi yē hé huá xīn cún qiān bēi , jiù dé fù yǒu 、 zūn róng 、 shēng mìng wèi shǎng cì 。
The result of humility and the fear of the LORD is wealth, honor, and life.
乖僻人的路上有荆棘和网罗; 保守自己生命的,必要远离。
guāi pì rén de lù shang yǒu jīng jí hé wǎng luó ; bǎo shǒu zì jǐ shēng mìng de , bì yào yuǎn lí 。
Thorns and snares are in the path of the wicked; whoever guards his soul stays far from them.
教养孩童,使他走当行的道, 就是到老他也不偏离。
jiào yǎng hái tóng , shǐ tā zǒu dāng xíng de dào , jiù shì dào lǎo tā yě bù piān lí 。
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
富户管辖穷人; 欠债的是债主的仆人。
fù hù guǎn xiá qióng rén ; qiàn zhài de shì zhài zhǔ de pú rén 。
The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender.
撒罪孽的,必收灾祸; 他逞怒的杖也必废掉。
sā zuì niè de , bì shōu zāi huò ; tā chěng nù de zhàng yě bì fèi diào 。
He who sows wickedness reaps trouble, and the rod of his fury will be destroyed.
眼目慈善的,就必蒙福, 因他将食物分给穷人。
yǎn mù cí shàn de , jiù bì méng fú , yīn tā jiāng shí wù fēn gěi qióng rén 。
He who has a generous eye will be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor.
赶出亵慢人,争端就消除; 纷争和羞辱也必止息。
gǎn chū xiè màn rén , zhēng duān jiù xiāo chú ; fēn zhēng hé xiū rǔ yě bì zhǐ xī 。
Drive out the mocker, and strife will go out; yes, quarrels and insults will stop.
喜爱清心的人因他嘴上的恩言, 王必与他为友。
xǐ ài qīng xīn de rén yīn tā zuǐ shàng de ēn yán , wáng bì yǔ tā wèi yǒu 。
He who loves purity of heart and speaks gracefully is the king’s friend.
耶和华的眼目眷顾聪明人, 却倾败奸诈人的言语。
yē hé huá de yǎn mù juàn gù cōng ming rén , què qīng bài jiān zhà rén de yán yǔ 。
The LORD’s eyes watch over knowledge, but he frustrates the words of the unfaithful.
懒惰人说:外头有狮子; 我在街上就必被杀。
lǎn duò rén shuō : wài tou yǒu shī zi ; wǒ zài jiē shàng jiù bì bèi shā 。
The sluggard says, “There is a lion outside! I will be killed in the streets!”
淫妇的口为深坑; 耶和华所憎恶的,必陷在其中。
yín fù de kǒu wèi shēn kēng ; yē hé huá suǒ zēng wù de , bì xiàn zài qí zhōng 。
The mouth of an adulteress is a deep pit. He who is under the LORD’s wrath will fall into it.
愚蒙迷住孩童的心, 用管教的杖可以远远赶除。
yú méng mí zhù hái tóng de xīn , yòng guǎn jiào de zhàng kě yǐ yuǎn yuǎn gǎn chú 。
Folly is bound up in the heart of a child; the rod of discipline drives it far from him.
欺压贫穷为要利己的, 并送礼与富户的,都必缺乏。
qī yā pín qióng wèi yào lì jǐ de , bìng sòng lǐ yǔ fù hù de , dōu bì quē fá 。
Whoever oppresses the poor for his own increase and whoever gives to the rich, both come to poverty.
你须侧耳听受智慧人的言语, 留心领会我的知识。
nǐ xū cè ěr tīng shòu zhì huì rén de yán yǔ , liú xīn lǐng huì wǒ de zhī shi 。
Turn your ear, and listen to the words of the wise. Apply your heart to my teaching.
你若心中存记, 嘴上咬定,这便为美。
nǐ ruò xīn zhōng cún jì , zuǐ shàng yǎo dìng , zhè biàn wèi měi 。
For it is a pleasant thing if you keep them within you, if all of them are ready on your lips.
我今日以此特特指教你, 为要使你倚靠耶和华。
wǒ jīn rì yǐ cǐ tè tè zhǐ jiào nǐ , wèi yào shǐ nǐ yǐ kào yē hé huá 。
I teach you today, even you, so that your trust may be in the LORD.
谋略和知识的美事, 我岂没有写给你吗?
móu lüè hé zhī shi de měi shì , wǒ qǐ méi yǒu xiě gěi nǐ ma ?
Haven’t I written to you thirty excellent things of counsel and knowledge,
要使你知道真言的实理, 你好将真言回复那打发你来的人。
yào shǐ nǐ zhī dào zhēn yán de shí lǐ , nǐ hǎo jiāng zhēn yán huí fù nà dǎ fā nǐ lái de rén 。
To teach you truth, reliable words, to give sound answers to the ones who sent you?
贫穷人,你不可因他贫穷就抢夺他的物, 也不可在城门口欺压困苦人;
pín qióng rén , nǐ bù kě yīn tā pín qióng jiù qiǎng duó tā de wù , yě bù kě zài chéng mén kǒu qī yā kùn kǔ rén ;
Don’t exploit the poor because he is poor; and don’t crush the needy in court;
因耶和华必为他辨屈; 抢夺他的,耶和华必夺取那人的命。
yīn yē hé huá bì wèi tā biàn qū ; qiǎng duó tā de , yē hé huá bì duó qǔ nà rén de mìng 。
for the LORD will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them.
好生气的人,不可与他结交; 暴怒的人,不可与他来往;
hǎo shēng qì de rén , bù kě yǔ tā jié jiāo ; bào nù de rén , bù kě yǔ tā lái wǎng ;
Don’t befriend a hot-tempered man. Don’t associate with one who harbors anger,
恐怕你效法他的行为, 自己就陷在网罗里。
kǒng pà nǐ xiào fǎ tā de xíng wéi , zì jǐ jiù xiàn zài wǎng luó lǐ 。
lest you learn his ways and ensnare your soul.
不要与人击掌, 不要为欠债的作保。
bú yào yǔ rén jī zhǎng , bú yào wèi qiàn zhài de zuò bǎo 。
Don’t you be one of those who strike hands, of those who are collateral for debts.
你若没有什么偿还, 何必使人夺去你睡卧的床呢?
nǐ ruò méi yǒu shén me cháng huán , hé bì shǐ rén duó qù nǐ shuì wò de chuáng ne ?
If you don’t have means to pay, why should he take away your bed from under you?
你先祖所立的地界, 你不可挪移。
nǐ xiān zǔ suǒ lì de dì jiè , nǐ bù kě nuó yí 。
Don’t move the ancient boundary stone which your fathers have set up.
你看见办事殷勤的人吗? 他必站在君王面前, 必不站在下贱人面前。
nǐ kàn jiàn bàn shì yīn qín de rén ma ? tā bì zhàn zài jūn wáng miàn qián , bì bú zhàn zài xià jiàn rén miàn qián 。
Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve kings. He won’t serve obscure men.
