撒但起來攻擊以色列人，激動大衛數點他們。

sā dàn qǐ lái gōng jī yǐ sè liè rén ， jī dòng dà wèi shù diǎn tā men 。

Satan stood up against Israel, and moved David to take a census of Israel.

大衛就吩咐約押和民中的首領說：「你們去數點以色列人，從別是巴直到但，回來告訴我，我好知道他們的數目。」

dà wèi jiù fēn fù yuē yā hé mín zhōng de shǒu lǐng shuō ：「 nǐ men qù shù diǎn yǐ sè liè rén ， cóng bié shì bā zhí dào dàn ， huí lái gào sù wǒ ， wǒ hǎo zhī dào tā men de shù mù 。」

David said to Joab and to the princes of the people, “Go, count Israel from Beersheba even to Dan; and bring me word, that I may know how many there are.”

約押說：「願耶和華使他的百姓比現在加增百倍。我主我王啊，他們不都是你的僕人嗎？我主為何吩咐行這事，為何使以色列人陷在罪裏呢？」

yuē yā shuō ：「 yuàn yē hé huá shǐ tā de bǎi xìng bǐ xiàn zài jiā zēng bǎi bèi 。 wǒ zhǔ wǒ wáng a ， tā men bù dōu shì nǐ de pú rén ma ？ wǒ zhǔ wèi hé fēn fù xíng zhè shì ， wèi hé shǐ yǐ sè liè rén xiàn zài zuì lǐ ne ？」

Joab said, “May the LORD make his people a hundred times as many as they are. But, my lord the king, aren’t they all my lord’s servants? Why does my lord require this thing? Why will he be a cause of guilt to Israel?”

但王的命令勝過約押。約押就出去，走遍以色列地，回到耶路撒冷，

dàn wáng de mìng lìng shèng guò yuē yā 。 yuē yā jiù chū qù ， zǒu biàn yǐ sè liè dì ， huí dào yē lù sā lěng ，

Nevertheless the king’s word prevailed against Joab. Therefore Joab departed and went throughout all Israel, then came to Jerusalem.

將百姓的總數奏告大衛：以色列人拿刀的有一百一十萬；猶大人拿刀的有四十七萬。

jiāng bǎi xìng de zǒng shù zòu gào dà wèi ： yǐ sè liè rén ná dāo de yǒu yì bǎi yī shí wàn ； yóu dà rén ná dāo de yǒu sì shí qī wàn 。

Joab gave the sum of the census of the people to David. All those of Israel were one million one hundred thousand men who drew a sword; and in Judah were four hundred seventy thousand men who drew a sword.

惟有利未人和便雅憫人沒有數在其中，因為約押厭惡王的這命令。

wéi yǒu lì wèi rén hé biàn yǎ mǐn rén méi yǒu shù zài qí zhōng ， yīn wèi yuē yā yàn wù wáng de zhè mìng lìng 。

But he didn’t count Levi and Benjamin among them, for the king’s word was abominable to Joab.

上帝不喜悅這數點百姓的事，便降災給以色列人。

shén bù xǐ yuè zhè shù diǎn bǎi xìng de shì ， biàn jiàng zāi gěi yǐ sè liè rén 。

God was displeased with this thing; therefore he struck Israel.

大衛禱告上帝說：「我行這事大有罪了！現在求你除掉僕人的罪孽，因我所行的甚是愚昧。」

dà wèi dǎo gào shén shuō ：「 wǒ xíng zhè shì dà yǒu zuì le ！ xiàn zài qiú nǐ chú diào pú rén de zuì niè ， yīn wǒ suǒ xíng de shèn shì yú mèi 。」

David said to God, “I have sinned greatly, in that I have done this thing. But now put away, I beg you, the iniquity of your servant, for I have done very foolishly.”

耶和華吩咐大衛的先見迦得說：

yē hé huá fēn fù dà wèi de xiān jiàn jiā dé shuō ：

The LORD spoke to Gad, David’s seer, saying,

「你去告訴大衛說，耶和華如此說：我有三樣災，隨你選擇一樣，我好降與你。」

「 nǐ qù gào sù dà wèi shuō ， yē hé huá rú cǐ shuō ： wǒ yǒu sān yàng zāi ， suí nǐ xuǎn zé yí yàng ， wǒ hǎo jiàng yǔ nǐ 。」

“Go and speak to David, saying, ‘The LORD says, “I offer you three things. Choose one of them, that I may do it to you.”’”

於是，迦得來見大衛，對他說：「耶和華如此說：『你可以隨意選擇：

yú shì ， jiā dé lái jiàn dà wèi ， duì tā shuō ：「 yē hé huá rú cǐ shuō ：『 nǐ kě yǐ suí yì xuǎn zé ：

So Gad came to David and said to him, “The LORD says, ‘Take your choice:

或三年的饑荒；或敗在你敵人面前，被敵人的刀追殺三個月；或在你國中有耶和華的刀，就是三日的瘟疫，耶和華的使者在以色列的四境施行毀滅。』現在你要想一想，我好回覆那差我來的。」

huò sān nián de jī huāng ； huò bài zài nǐ dí rén miàn qián ， bèi dí rén de dāo zhuī shā sān gè yuè ； huò zài nǐ guó zhōng yǒu yē hé huá de dāo ， jiù shì sān rì de wēn yì ， yē hé huá de shǐ zhě zài yǐ sè liè de sì jìng shī xíng huǐ miè 。』 xiàn zài nǐ yào xiǎng yi xiǎng ， wǒ hǎo huí fù nà chà wǒ lái de 。」

either three years of famine; or three months to be consumed before your foes, while the sword of your enemies overtakes you; or else three days of the sword of the LORD, even pestilence in the land, and the LORD’s angel destroying throughout all the borders of Israel. Now therefore consider what answer I shall return to him who sent me.’”

大衛對迦得說：「我甚為難。我願落在耶和華的手裏，因為他有豐盛的憐憫；我不願落在人的手裏。」

dà wèi duì jiā dé shuō ：「 wǒ shèn wéi nán 。 wǒ yuàn luò zài yē hé huá de shǒu lǐ ， yīn wèi tā yǒu fēng shèng de lián mǐn ； wǒ bú yuàn luò zài rén de shǒu lǐ 。」

David said to Gad, “I am in distress. Let me fall, I pray, into the LORD’s hand, for his mercies are very great. Don’t let me fall into man’s hand.”

於是，耶和華降瘟疫與以色列人，以色列人就死了七萬。

yú shì ， yē hé huá jiàng wēn yì yǔ yǐ sè liè rén ， yǐ sè liè rén jiù sǐ le qī wàn 。

So the LORD sent a pestilence on Israel, and seventy thousand men of Israel fell.

上帝差遣使者去滅耶路撒冷，剛要滅的時候，耶和華看見後悔，就不降這災了，吩咐滅城的天使說：「夠了，住手吧！」那時，耶和華的使者站在耶布斯人阿珥楠的禾場那裏。

shén chāi qiǎn shǐ zhě qù miè yē lù sā lěng ， gāng yào miè de shí hòu ， yē hé huá kàn jiàn hòu huǐ ， jiù bú jiàng zhè zāi le ， fēn fù miè chéng de tiān shǐ shuō ：「 gòu le ， zhù shǒu ba ！」 nà shí ， yē hé huá de shǐ zhě zhàn zài yē bù sī rén ā ěr nán de hé chǎng nà lǐ 。

God sent an angel to Jerusalem to destroy it. As he was about to destroy, the LORD saw, and he relented of the disaster, and said to the destroying angel, “It is enough. Now withdraw your hand.” the LORD’s angel was standing by the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

大衛舉目，看見耶和華的使者站在天地間，手裏有拔出來的刀，伸在耶路撒冷以上。大衛和長老都身穿麻衣，面伏於地。

dà wèi jǔ mù ， kàn jiàn yē hé huá de shǐ zhě zhàn zài tiān dì jiān ， shǒu lǐ yǒu bá chū lái de dāo ， shēn zài yē lù sā lěng yǐ shàng 。 dà wèi hé zhǎng lǎo dōu shēn chuān má yī ， miàn fú yú dì 。

David lifted up his eyes, and saw the LORD’s angel standing between earth and the sky, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders, clothed in sackcloth, fell on their faces.

大衛禱告上帝說：「吩咐數點百姓的不是我嗎？我犯了罪，行了惡，但這群羊做了甚麼呢？願耶和華－我上帝的手攻擊我和我的父家，不要攻擊你的民，降瘟疫與他們。」

dà wèi dǎo gào shén shuō ：「 fēn fù shù diǎn bǎi xìng de bú shì wǒ ma ？ wǒ fàn le zuì ， xíng le è ， dàn zhè qún yáng zuò le shén me ne ？ yuàn yē hé huá — wǒ shén de shǒu gōng jī wǒ hé wǒ de fù jiā ， bú yào gōng jī nǐ de mín ， jiàng wēn yì yǔ tā men 。」

David said to God, “Isn’t it I who commanded the people to be counted? It is even I who have sinned and done very wickedly; but these sheep, what have they done? Please let your hand, O LORD my God, be against me and against my father’s house; but not against your people, that they should be plagued.”

耶和華的使者吩咐迦得去告訴大衛，叫他上去，在耶布斯人阿珥楠的禾場上為耶和華築一座壇；

yē hé huá de shǐ zhě fēn fù jiā dé qù gào sù dà wèi ， jiào tā shàng qù ， zài yē bù sī rén ā ěr nán de hé chǎng shàng wèi yē hé huá zhù yí zuò tán ；

Then the LORD’s angel commanded Gad to tell David that David should go up and raise an altar to the LORD on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

大衛就照着迦得奉耶和華名所說的話上去了。

dà wèi jiù zhào zhe jiā dé fèng yē hé huá míng suǒ shuō de huà shàng qù le 。

David went up at the saying of Gad, which he spoke in the LORD’s name.

那時阿珥楠正打麥子，回頭看見天使，就和他四個兒子都藏起來了。

nà shí ā ěr nán zhèng dǎ mài zi ， huí tóu kàn jiàn tiān shǐ ， jiù hé tā sì gè ér zi dōu cáng qǐ lái le 。

Ornan turned back and saw the angel; and his four sons who were with him hid themselves. Now Ornan was threshing wheat.

大衛到了阿珥楠那裏，阿珥楠看見大衛，就從禾場上出去，臉伏於地，向他下拜。

dà wèi dào le ā ěr nán nà lǐ ， ā ěr nán kàn jiàn dà wèi ， jiù cóng hé chǎng shàng chū qù ， liǎn fú yú dì ， xiàng tā xià bài 。

As David came to Ornan, Ornan looked and saw David, and went out of the threshing floor, and bowed himself to David with his face to the ground.

大衛對阿珥楠說：「你將這禾場與相連之地賣給我，我必給你足價，我好在其上為耶和華築一座壇，使民間的瘟疫止住。」

dà wèi duì ā ěr nán shuō ：「 nǐ jiāng zhè hé chǎng yǔ xiāng lián zhī dì mài gěi wǒ ， wǒ bì gěi nǐ zú jià ， wǒ hǎo zài qí shàng wèi yē hé huá zhù yí zuò tán ， shǐ mín jiān de wēn yì zhǐ zhù 。」

Then David said to Ornan, “Sell me the place of this threshing floor, that I may build an altar to the LORD on it. You shall sell it to me for the full price, that the plague may be stopped from afflicting the people.”

阿珥楠對大衛說：「你可以用這禾場，願我主我王照你所喜悅的去行。我也將牛給你作燔祭，把打糧的器具當柴燒，拿麥子作素祭。這些我都送給你。」

ā ěr nán duì dà wèi shuō ：「 nǐ kě yǐ yòng zhè hé chǎng ， yuàn wǒ zhǔ wǒ wáng zhào nǐ suǒ xǐ yuè de qù xíng 。 wǒ yě jiāng niú gěi nǐ zuò fán jì ， bǎ dǎ liáng de qì jù dāng chái shāo ， ná mài zi zuò sù jì 。 zhè xiē wǒ dōu sòng gěi nǐ 。」

Ornan said to David, “Take it for yourself, and let my lord the king do that which is good in his eyes. Behold, I give the oxen for burnt offerings, and the threshing instruments for wood, and the wheat for the meal offering. I give it all.”

大衛王對阿珥楠說：「不然！我必要用足價向你買。我不用你的物獻給耶和華，也不用白得之物獻為燔祭。」

dà wèi wáng duì ā ěr nán shuō ：「 bù rán ！ wǒ bì yào yòng zú jià xiàng nǐ mǎi 。 wǒ bú yòng nǐ de wù xiàn gěi yē hé huá ， yě bú yòng bái dé zhī wù xiàn wèi fán jì 。」

King David said to Ornan, “No, but I will most certainly buy it for the full price. For I will not take that which is yours for the LORD, nor offer a burnt offering that costs me nothing.”

於是大衛為那塊地平了六百舍客勒金子給阿珥楠。

yú shì dà wèi wèi nà kuài dì píng le liù bǎi shè kè lè jīn zǐ gěi ā ěr nán 。

So David gave to Ornan six hundred shekels of gold by weight for the place.

大衛在那裏為耶和華築了一座壇，獻燔祭和平安祭，求告耶和華。耶和華就應允他，使火從天降在燔祭壇上。

dà wèi zài nà lǐ wèi yē hé huá zhù le yí zuò tán ， xiàn fán jì hé píng ān jì ， qiú gào yē hé huá 。 yē hé huá jiù yīng yǔn tā ， shǐ huǒ cóng tiān jiàng zài fán jì tán shàng 。

David built an altar to the LORD there, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called on the LORD; and he answered him from the sky by fire on the altar of burnt offering.

耶和華吩咐使者，他就收刀入鞘。

yē hé huá fēn fù shǐ zhě ， tā jiù shōu dāo rù qiào 。

Then the LORD commanded the angel, and he put his sword back into its sheath.

那時，大衛見耶和華在耶布斯人阿珥楠的禾場上應允了他，就在那裏獻祭。

nà shí ， dà wèi jiàn yē hé huá zài yē bù sī rén ā ěr nán de hé chǎng shàng yīng yǔn le tā ， jiù zài nà lǐ xiàn jì 。

At that time, when David saw that the LORD had answered him in the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite, then he sacrificed there.

摩西在曠野所造之耶和華的帳幕和燔祭壇都在基遍的高處；

mó xī zài kuàng yě suǒ zào zhī yē hé huá de zhàng mù hé fán jì tán dōu zài jī biàn de gāo chù ；

For the LORD’s tabernacle, which Moses made in the wilderness, and the altar of burnt offering, were at that time in the high place at Gibeon.

只是大衛不敢前去求問上帝，因為懼怕耶和華使者的刀。

zhī shì dà wèi bù gǎn qián qù qiú wèn shén ， yīn wèi jù pà yē hé huá shǐ zhě de dāo 。

But David couldn’t go before it to inquire of God, for he was afraid because of the sword of the LORD’s angel.
