大衛年紀老邁，日子滿足，就立他兒子所羅門作以色列的王。

dà wèi nián jì lǎo mài ， rì zi mǎn zú ， jiù lì tā ér zi suǒ luó mén zuò yǐ sè liè de wáng 。

Now David was old and full of days; and he made Solomon his son king over Israel.

大衛招聚以色列的眾首領和祭司利未人。

dà wèi zhāo jù yǐ sè liè de zhòng shǒu lǐng hé jì sī lì wèi rén 。

He gathered together all the princes of Israel, with the priests and the Levites.

利未人從三十歲以外的都被數點，他們男丁的數目共有三萬八千；

lì wèi rén cóng sān shí suì yǐ wài de dōu bèi shù diǎn ， tā men nán dīng de shù mù gòng yǒu sān wàn bā qiān ；

The Levites were counted from thirty years old and upward; and their number by their polls, man by man, was thirty-eight thousand.

其中有二萬四千人管理耶和華殿的事，有六千人作官長和士師，

qí zhōng yǒu èr wàn sì qiān rén guǎn lǐ yē hé huá diàn de shì ， yǒu liù qiān rén zuò guān zhǎng hé shì shī ，

David said, “Of these, twenty-four thousand were to oversee the work of the LORD’s house, six thousand were officers and judges,

有四千人作守門的，又有四千人用大衛所做的樂器頌讚耶和華。

yǒu sì qiān rén zuò shǒu mén de ， yòu yǒu sì qiān rén yòng dà wèi suǒ zuò de yuè qì sòng zàn yē hé huá 。

four thousand were doorkeepers, and four thousand praised the LORD with the instruments which I made for giving praise.”

大衛將利未人革順、哥轄、米拉利的子孫分了班次。

dà wèi jiāng lì wèi rén gé shùn 、 gē xiá 、 mǐ lā lì de zǐ sūn fēn le bān cì 。

David divided them into divisions according to the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

革順的子孫有拉但和示每。

gé shùn de zǐ sūn yǒu lā dàn hé shì měi 。

Of the Gershonites: Ladan and Shimei.

拉但的長子是耶歇，還有細坦和約珥，共三人。

lā dàn de zhǎng zǐ shì yē xiē ， hái yǒu xì tǎn hé yuē ěr ， gòng sān rén 。

The sons of Ladan: Jehiel the chief, Zetham, and Joel, three.

示每的兒子是示羅密、哈薛、哈蘭三人。這是拉但族的族長。

shì měi de ér zi shì shì luó mì 、 hā xuē 、 hā lán sān rén 。 zhè shì lā dàn zú de zú zhǎng 。

The sons of Shimei: Shelomoth, Haziel, and Haran, three. These were the heads of the fathers’ households of Ladan.

示每的兒子是雅哈、細拿、耶烏施、比利亞共四人。

shì měi de ér zi shì yǎ hā 、 xì ná 、 yē wū shī 、 bǐ lì yà gòng sì rén 。

The sons of Shimei: Jahath, Zina, Jeush, and Beriah. These four were the sons of Shimei.

雅哈是長子，細撒是次子。但耶烏施和比利亞的子孫不多，所以算為一族。

yǎ hā shì zhǎng zǐ ， xì sā shì cì zǐ 。 dàn yē wū shī hé bǐ lì yà de zǐ sūn bù duō ， suǒ yǐ suàn wèi yì zú 。

Jahath was the chief, and Zizah the second; but Jeush and Beriah didn’t have many sons; therefore they became a fathers’ house in one reckoning.

哥轄的兒子是暗蘭、以斯哈、希伯倫、烏薛共四人。

gē xiá de ér zi shì àn lán 、 yǐ sī hā 、 xī bó lún 、 wū xuē gòng sì rén 。

The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel, four.

暗蘭的兒子是亞倫、摩西。亞倫和他的子孫分出來，好分別至聖的物，在耶和華面前燒香、事奉他，奉他的名祝福，直到永遠。

àn lán de ér zi shì yà lún 、 mó xī 。 yà lún hé tā de zǐ sūn fēn chū lái ， hǎo fēn bié zhì shèng de wù ， zài yē hé huá miàn qián shāo xiāng 、 shì fèng tā ， fèng tā de míng zhù fú ， zhí dào yǒng yuǎn 。

The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses; and Aaron was separated that he should sanctify the most holy things, he and his sons forever, to burn incense before the LORD, to minister to him, and to bless in his name forever.

至於神人摩西，他的子孫名字記在利未支派的冊上。

zhì yú shén rén mó xī ， tā de zǐ sūn míng zì jì zài lì wèi zhī pài de cè shàng 。

But as for Moses the man of God, his sons were named among the tribe of Levi.

摩西的兒子是革舜和以利以謝。

mó xī de ér zi shì gé shùn hé yǐ lì yǐ xiè 。

The sons of Moses: Gershom and Eliezer.

革舜的長子是細布業；

gé shùn de zhǎng zǐ shì xì bù yè ；

The sons of Gershom: Shebuel the chief.

以利以謝的兒子是利哈比雅。以利以謝沒有別的兒子，但利哈比雅的子孫甚多。

yǐ lì yǐ xiè de ér zi shì lì hā bǐ yǎ 。 yǐ lì yǐ xiè méi yǒu bié de ér zi ， dàn lì hā bǐ yǎ de zǐ sūn shèn duō 。

The son of Eliezer was Rehabiah the chief; and Eliezer had no other sons, but the sons of Rehabiah were very many.

以斯哈的長子是示羅密。

yǐ sī hā de zhǎng zǐ shì shì luó mì 。

The son of Izhar: Shelomith the chief.

希伯倫的長子是耶利雅，次子是亞瑪利亞，三子是雅哈悉，四子是耶加面。

xī bó lún de zhǎng zǐ shì yē lì yǎ ， cì zǐ shì yà mǎ lì yà ， sān zǐ shì yǎ hā xī ， sì zǐ shì yē jiā miàn 。

The sons of Hebron: Jeriah the chief, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.

烏薛的長子是米迦，次子是耶西雅。

wū xuē de zhǎng zǐ shì mǐ jiā ， cì zǐ shì yē xī yǎ 。

The sons of Uzziel: Micah the chief, and Isshiah the second.

米拉利的兒子是抹利、母示。抹利的兒子是以利亞撒、基士。

mǐ lā lì de ér zi shì mǒ lì 、 mǔ shì 。 mǒ lì de ér zi shì yǐ lì yà sā 、 jī shì 。

The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. The sons of Mahli: Eleazar and Kish.

以利亞撒死了，沒有兒子，只有女兒，他們本族基士的兒子娶了她們為妻。

yǐ lì yà sā sǐ le ， méi yǒu ér zi ， zhǐ yǒu nǚ ér ， tā men běn zú jī shì de ér zi qǔ le tā men wèi qī 。

Eleazar died, and had no sons, but daughters only; and their relatives, the sons of Kish, took them as wives.

母示的兒子是末力、以得、耶利摩共三人。

mǔ shì de ér zi shì mò lì 、 yǐ dé 、 yē lì mó gòng sān rén 。

The sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder, and Jeremoth, three.

以上利未子孫作族長的，照着男丁的數目，從二十歲以外，都辦耶和華殿的事務。

yǐ shàng lì wèi zǐ sūn zuò zú zhǎng de ， zhào zhe nán dīng de shù mù ， cóng èr shí suì yǐ wài ， dōu bàn yē hé huá diàn de shì wù 。

These were the sons of Levi after their fathers’ houses, even the heads of the fathers’ houses of those who were counted individually, in the number of names by their polls, who did the work for the service of the LORD’s house, from twenty years old and upward.

大衛說：「耶和華－以色列的上帝已經使他的百姓平安，他永遠住在耶路撒冷。

dà wèi shuō ：「 yē hé huá — yǐ sè liè de shén yǐ jīng shǐ tā de bǎi xìng píng ān ， tā yǒng yuǎn zhù zài yē lù sā lěng 。

For David said, “The LORD, the God of Israel, has given rest to his people; and he dwells in Jerusalem forever.

利未人不必再抬帳幕和其中所用的一切器皿了。」

lì wèi rén bú bì zài tái zhàng mù hé qí zhōng suǒ yòng de yí qiè qì mǐn le 。」

Also the Levites will no longer need to carry the tabernacle and all its vessels for its service.”

照着大衛臨終所吩咐的，利未人從二十歲以外的都被數點。

zhào zhe dà wèi lín zhōng suǒ fēn fù de ， lì wèi rén cóng èr shí suì yǐ wài de dōu bèi shù diǎn 。

For by the last words of David the sons of Levi were counted, from twenty years old and upward.

他們的職任是服事亞倫的子孫，在耶和華的殿和院子，並屋中辦事，潔淨一切聖物，就是辦上帝殿的事務，

tā men de zhí rèn shì fú shì yà lún de zǐ sūn ， zài yē hé huá de diàn hé yuàn zǐ ， bìng wū zhōng bàn shì ， jié jìng yí qiè shèng wù ， jiù shì bàn shén diàn de shì wù ，

For their duty was to wait on the sons of Aaron for the service of the LORD’s house—in the courts, in the rooms, and in the purifying of all holy things, even the work of the service of God’s house;

並管理陳設餅，素祭的細麵，或無酵薄餅，或用盤烤，或用油調和的物，又管理各樣的升斗尺度；

bìng guǎn lǐ chén shè bǐng ， sù jì de xì miàn ， huò wú jiào báo bǐng ， huò yòng pán kǎo ， huò yòng yóu tiáo hé de wù ， yòu guǎn lǐ gè yàng de shēng dòu chǐ dù ；

for the show bread also, and for the fine flour for a meal offering, whether of unleavened wafers, or of that which is baked in the pan, or of that which is soaked, and for all measurements of quantity and size;

每日早晚，站立稱謝讚美耶和華，

měi rì zǎo wǎn ， zhàn lì chēng xiè zàn měi yē hé huá ，

and to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD, and likewise in the evening;

又在安息日、月朔，並節期，按數照例，將燔祭常常獻給耶和華；

yòu zài ān xī rì 、 yuè shuò ， bìng jié qī ， àn shù zhào lì ， jiāng fán jì cháng cháng xiàn gěi yē hé huá ；

and to offer all burnt offerings to the LORD on the Sabbaths, on the new moons, and on the set feasts, in number according to the ordinance concerning them, continually before the LORD;

又看守會幕和聖所，並守耶和華吩咐他們弟兄亞倫子孫的，辦耶和華殿的事。

yòu kān shǒu huì mù hé shèng suǒ ， bìng shǒu yē hé huá fēn fù tā men dì xiong yà lún zǐ sūn de ， bàn yē hé huá diàn de shì 。

and that they should keep the duty of the Tent of Meeting, the duty of the holy place, and the duty of the sons of Aaron their brothers for the service of the LORD’s house.
