亞哈將以利亞一切所行的和他用刀殺眾先知的事都告訴耶洗別。

yà hā jiāng yǐ lì yà yí qiè suǒ xíng de hé tā yòng dāo shā zhòng xiān zhī de shì dōu gào sù yē xǐ bié 。

Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and how he had killed all the prophets with the sword.

耶洗別就差遣人去見以利亞，告訴他說：「明日約在這時候，我若不使你的性命像那些人的性命一樣，願神明重重地降罰與我。」

yē xǐ bié jiù chāi qiǎn rén qù jiàn yǐ lì yà ， gào sù tā shuō ：「 míng rì yuē zài zhè shí hòu ， wǒ ruò bù shǐ nǐ de xìng mìng xiàng nà xiē rén de xìng mìng yí yàng ， yuàn shén míng chóng chóng dì jiàng fá yǔ wǒ 。」

Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, “So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I don’t make your life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time!”

以利亞見這光景就起來逃命，到了猶大的別是巴，將僕人留在那裏，

yǐ lì yà jiàn zhè guāng jǐng jiù qǐ lái táo mìng ， dào le yóu dà de bié shì bā ， jiāng pú rén liú zài nà lǐ ，

When he saw that, he arose and ran for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there.

自己在曠野走了一日的路程，來到一棵羅騰樹下 ，就坐在那裏求死，說：「耶和華啊，罷了！求你取我的性命，因為我不勝於我的列祖。」

zì jǐ zài kuàng yě zǒu le yí rì de lù chéng ， lái dào yì kē luó téng shù xià ， jiù zuò zài nà lǐ qiú sǐ ， shuō ：「 yē hé huá a ， bà le ！ qiú nǐ qǔ wǒ de xìng mìng ， yīn wèi wǒ bú shèng yú wǒ de liè zǔ 。」

But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree. Then he requested for himself that he might die, and said, “It is enough. Now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.”

他就躺在羅騰樹下，睡着了。有一個天使拍他，說：「起來吃吧！」

tā jiù tǎng zài luó téng shù xià ， shuì zháo le 。 yǒu yí gè tiān shǐ pāi tā ， shuō ：「 qǐ lái chī ba ！」

He lay down and slept under a juniper tree; and behold, an angel touched him, and said to him, “Arise and eat!”

他觀看，見頭旁有一瓶水與炭火燒的餅，他就吃了喝了，仍然躺下。

tā guān kàn ， jiàn tóu páng yǒu yì píng shuǐ yǔ tàn huǒ shāo de bǐng ， tā jiù chī le hē le ， réng rán tǎng xià 。

He looked, and behold, there was at his head a cake baked on the coals, and a jar of water. He ate and drank, and lay down again.

耶和華的使者第二次來拍他，說：「起來吃吧！因為你當走的路甚遠。」

yē hé huá de shǐ zhě dì èr cì lái pāi tā ， shuō ：「 qǐ lái chī ba ！ yīn wèi nǐ dāng zǒu de lù shèn yuǎn 。」

The LORD’s angel came again the second time, and touched him, and said, “Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for you.”

他就起來吃了喝了，仗着這飲食的力，走了四十晝夜，到了上帝的山，就是何烈山。

tā jiù qǐ lái chī le hē le ， zhàng zhe zhè yǐn shí de lì ， zǒu le sì shí zhòu yè ， dào le shén de shān ， jiù shì hé liè shān 。

He arose, and ate and drank, and went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights to Horeb, God’s Mountain.

他在那裏進了一個洞，就住在洞中。耶和華的話臨到他說：「以利亞啊，你在這裏做甚麼？」

tā zài nà lǐ jìn le yí gè dòng ， jiù zhù zài dòng zhōng 。 yē hé huá de huà lín dào tā shuō ：「 yǐ lì yà a ， nǐ zài zhè lǐ zuò shén me ？」

He came to a cave there, and camped there; and behold, the LORD’s word came to him, and he said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

他說：「我為耶和華－萬軍之上帝大發熱心；因為以色列人背棄了你的約，毀壞了你的壇，用刀殺了你的先知，只剩下我一個人，他們還要尋索我的命。」

tā shuō ：「 wǒ wèi yē hé huá — wàn jūn zhī shén dà fā rè xīn ； yīn wèi yǐ sè liè rén bèi qì le nǐ de yuē ， huǐ huài le nǐ de tán ， yòng dāo shā le nǐ de xiān zhī ， zhī shèng xià wǒ yí gè rén ， tā men hái yào xún suǒ wǒ de mìng 。」

He said, “I have been very jealous for the LORD, the God of Armies; for the children of Israel have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and killed your prophets with the sword. I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.”

耶和華說：「你出來站在山上，在我面前。」那時耶和華從那裏經過，在他面前有烈風大作，崩山碎石，耶和華卻不在風中；風後地震，耶和華卻不在其中；

yē hé huá shuō ：「 nǐ chū lái zhàn zài shān shàng ， zài wǒ miàn qián 。」 nà shí yē hé huá cóng nà lǐ jīng guò ， zài tā miàn qián yǒu liè fēng dà zuò ， bēng shān suì shí ， yē hé huá què bú zài fēng zhōng ； fēng hòu dì zhèn ， yē hé huá què bú zài qí zhōng ；

He said, “Go out and stand on the mountain before the LORD.” Behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind tore the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake.

地震後有火，耶和華也不在火中；火後有微小的聲音。

dì zhèn hòu yǒu huǒ ， yē hé huá yě bú zài huǒ zhōng ； huǒ hòu yǒu wēi xiǎo de shēng yīn 。

After the earthquake a fire passed; but the LORD was not in the fire. After the fire, there was a still small voice.

以利亞聽見，就用外衣蒙上臉，出來站在洞口。有聲音向他說：「以利亞啊，你在這裏做甚麼？」

yǐ lì yà tīng jiàn ， jiù yòng wài yī méng shàng liǎn ， chū lái zhàn zài dòng kǒu 。 yǒu shēng yīn xiàng tā shuō ：「 yǐ lì yà a ， nǐ zài zhè lǐ zuò shén me ？」

When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his mantle, went out, and stood in the entrance of the cave. Behold, a voice came to him, and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

他說：「我為耶和華－萬軍之上帝大發熱心；因為以色列人背棄了你的約，毀壞了你的壇，用刀殺了你的先知，只剩下我一個人，他們還要尋索我的命。」

tā shuō ：「 wǒ wèi yē hé huá — wàn jūn zhī shén dà fā rè xīn ； yīn wèi yǐ sè liè rén bèi qì le nǐ de yuē ， huǐ huài le nǐ de tán ， yòng dāo shā le nǐ de xiān zhī ， zhī shèng xià wǒ yí gè rén ， tā men hái yào xún suǒ wǒ de mìng 。」

He said, “I have been very jealous for the LORD, the God of Armies; for the children of Israel have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and killed your prophets with the sword. I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.”

耶和華對他說：「你回去，從曠野往大馬士革去。到了那裏，就要膏哈薛作亞蘭王，

yē hé huá duì tā shuō ：「 nǐ huí qù ， cóng kuàng yě wǎng dà mǎ shì gé qù 。 dào le nà lǐ ， jiù yào gāo hā xuē zuò yà lán wáng ，

The LORD said to him, “Go, return on your way to the wilderness of Damascus. When you arrive, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria.

又膏寧示的孫子耶戶作以色列王，並膏亞伯‧米何拉人沙法的兒子以利沙作先知接續你。

yòu gāo níng shì de sūn zi yē hù zuò yǐ sè liè wáng ， bìng gāo yà bó · mǐ hé lā rén shā fǎ de ér zi yǐ lì shā zuò xiān zhī jiē xù nǐ 。

Anoint Jehu the son of Nimshi to be king over Israel; and anoint Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel Meholah to be prophet in your place.

將來躲避哈薛之刀的，必被耶戶所殺；躲避耶戶之刀的，必被以利沙所殺。

jiāng lái duǒ bì hā xuē zhī dāo de ， bì bèi yē hù suǒ shā ； duǒ bì yē hù zhī dāo de ， bì bèi yǐ lì shā suǒ shā 。

He who escapes from the sword of Hazael, Jehu will kill; and he who escapes from the sword of Jehu, Elisha will kill.

但我在以色列人中為自己留下七千人，是未曾向巴力屈膝的，未曾與巴力親嘴的。」

dàn wǒ zài yǐ sè liè rén zhōng wèi zì jǐ liú xià qī qiān rén ， shì wèi céng xiàng bā lì qū xī de ， wèi céng yǔ bā lì qīn zuǐ de 。」

Yet I reserved seven thousand in Israel, all the knees of which have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth which has not kissed him.”

於是，以利亞離開那裏走了，遇見沙法的兒子以利沙耕地；在他前頭有十二對牛，自己趕着第十二對。以利亞到他那裏去，將自己的外衣搭在他身上。

yú shì ， yǐ lì yà lí kāi nà lǐ zǒu le ， yù jiàn shā fǎ de ér zi yǐ lì shā gēng dì ； zài tā qián tou yǒu shí èr duì niú ， zì jǐ gǎn zhe dì shí èr duì 。 yǐ lì yà dào tā nà lǐ qù ， jiāng zì jǐ de wài yī dā zài tā shēn shàng 。

So he departed from there and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth. Elijah went over to him and put his mantle on him.

以利沙就離開牛，跑到以利亞那裏，說：「求你容我先與父母親嘴，然後我便跟隨你。」以利亞對他說：「你回去吧，我向你做了甚麼呢？」

yǐ lì shā jiù lí kāi niú ， pǎo dào yǐ lì yà nà lǐ ， shuō ：「 qiú nǐ róng wǒ xiān yǔ fù mǔ qīn zuǐ ， rán hòu wǒ biàn gēn suí nǐ 。」 yǐ lì yà duì tā shuō ：「 nǐ huí qù ba ， wǒ xiàng nǐ zuò le shén me ne ？」

Elisha left the oxen and ran after Elijah, and said, “Let me please kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow you.” He said to him, “Go back again; for what have I done to you?”

以利沙就離開他回去，宰了一對牛，用套牛的器具煮肉給民吃，隨後就起身跟隨以利亞，服事他。

yǐ lì shā jiù lí kāi tā huí qù ， zǎi le yí duì niú ， yòng tào niú de qì jù zhǔ ròu gěi mín chī ， suí hòu jiù qǐ shēn gēn suí yǐ lì yà ， fú shì tā 。

He returned from following him, and took the yoke of oxen, killed them, and boiled their meat with the oxen’s equipment, and gave to the people; and they ate. Then he arose, and went after Elijah, and served him.
