撒母耳拿瓶膏油倒在掃羅的頭上，與他親嘴，說：「這不是耶和華膏你作他產業的君嗎？

sā mǔ ěr ná píng gāo yóu dǎo zài sǎo luó de tóu shàng ， yǔ tā qīn zuǐ ， shuō ：「 zhè bú shì yē hé huá gāo nǐ zuò tā chǎn yè de jūn ma ？

Then Samuel took the vial of oil and poured it on his head, then kissed him and said, “Hasn’t the LORD anointed you to be prince over his inheritance?

你今日與我離別之後，在便雅憫境內的泄撒，靠近拉結的墳墓，要遇見兩個人。他們必對你說：『你去找的那幾頭驢已經找着了。現在你父親不為驢掛心，反為你擔憂，說：我為兒子怎麼才好呢？』

nǐ jīn rì yǔ wǒ lí bié zhī hòu ， zài biàn yǎ mǐn jìng nèi de xiè sā ， kào jìn lā jié de fén mù ， yào yù jiàn liǎng gè rén 。 tā men bì duì nǐ shuō ：『 nǐ qù zhǎo de nà jǐ tóu lǘ yǐ jīng zhǎo zhe le 。 xiàn zài nǐ fù qīn bú wèi lǘ guà xīn ， fǎn wèi nǐ dān yōu ， shuō ： wǒ wèi ér zi zěn me cái hǎo ne ？』

When you have departed from me today, then you will find two men by Rachel’s tomb, on the border of Benjamin at Zelzah. They will tell you, ‘The donkeys which you went to look for have been found; and behold, your father has stopped caring about the donkeys and is anxious for you, saying, “What shall I do for my son?”’

你從那裏往前行，到了他泊的橡樹那裏，必遇見三個往伯特利去拜上帝的人：一個帶着三隻山羊羔，一個帶着三個餅，一個帶着一皮袋酒。

nǐ cóng nà lǐ wǎng qián xíng ， dào le tā bó de xiàng shù nà lǐ ， bì yù jiàn sān gè wǎng bó tè lì qù bài shén de rén ： yí gè dài zhe sān zhī shān yáng gāo ， yí gè dài zhe sān gè bǐng ， yí gè dài zhe yì pí dài jiǔ 。

“Then you will go on forward from there, and you will come to the oak of Tabor. Three men will meet you there going up to God to Bethel: one carrying three young goats, and another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a container of wine.

他們必問你安，給你兩個餅，你就從他們手中接過來。

tā men bì wèn nǐ ān ， gěi nǐ liǎng gè bǐng ， nǐ jiù cóng tā men shǒu zhōng jiē guò lái 。

They will greet you and give you two loaves of bread, which you shall receive from their hand.

此後你到上帝的山，在那裏有非利士人的防兵。你到了城的時候，必遇見一班先知從邱壇下來，前面有鼓瑟的、擊鼓的、吹笛的、彈琴的，他們都受感說話。

cǐ hòu nǐ dào shén de shān ， zài nà lǐ yǒu fēi lì shì rén de fáng bīng 。 nǐ dào le chéng de shí hòu ， bì yù jiàn yì bān xiān zhī cóng qiū tán xià lái ， qián miàn yǒu gǔ sè de 、 jī gǔ de 、 chuī dí de 、 tán qín de ， tā men dōu shòu gǎn shuō huà 。

“After that you will come to the hill of God, where the garrison of the Philistines is; and it will happen, when you have come there to the city, that you will meet a band of prophets coming down from the high place with a lute, a tambourine, a pipe, and a harp before them; and they will be prophesying.

耶和華的靈必大大感動你，你就與他們一同受感說話；你要變為新人。

yē hé huá de líng bì dà dà gǎn dòng nǐ ， nǐ jiù yǔ tā men yì tóng shòu gǎn shuō huà ； nǐ yào biàn wèi xīn rén 。

Then the LORD’s Spirit will come mightily on you, then you will prophesy with them and will be turned into another man.

這兆頭臨到你，你就可以趁時而做，因為上帝與你同在。

zhè zhào tou lín dào nǐ ， nǐ jiù kě yǐ chèn shí ér zuò ， yīn wèi shén yǔ nǐ tóng zài 。

Let it be, when these signs have come to you, that you do what is appropriate for the occasion; for God is with you.

你當在我以先下到吉甲，我也必下到那裏獻燔祭和平安祭。你要等候七日，等我到了那裏，指示你當行的事。」

nǐ dāng zài wǒ yǐ xiān xià dào jí jiǎ ， wǒ yě bì xià dào nà lǐ xiàn fán jì hé píng ān jì 。 nǐ yào děng hòu qī rì ， děng wǒ dào le nà lǐ ， zhǐ shì nǐ dāng xíng de shì 。」

“Go down ahead of me to Gilgal; and behold, I will come down to you to offer burnt offerings and to sacrifice sacrifices of peace offerings. Wait seven days, until I come to you and show you what you are to do.”

掃羅轉身離別撒母耳，上帝就賜他一個新心。當日這一切兆頭都應驗了。

sǎo luó zhuǎn shēn lí bié sā mǔ ěr ， shén jiù cì tā yí gè xīn xīn 。 dāng rì zhè yí qiè zhào tou dōu yìng yàn le 。

It was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart; and all those signs happened that day.

掃羅到了那山，有一班先知遇見他，上帝的靈大大感動他，他就在先知中受感說話。

sǎo luó dào le nà shān ， yǒu yì bān xiān zhī yù jiàn tā ， shén de líng dà dà gǎn dòng tā ， tā jiù zài xiān zhī zhōng shòu gǎn shuō huà 。

When they came there to the hill, behold, a band of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came mightily on him, and he prophesied among them.

素來認識掃羅的，看見他和先知一同受感說話，就彼此說：「基士的兒子遇見甚麼了？掃羅也列在先知中嗎？」

sù lái rèn shi sǎo luó de ， kàn jiàn tā hé xiān zhī yì tóng shòu gǎn shuō huà ， jiù bǐ cǐ shuō ：「 jī shì de ér zi yù jiàn shén me le ？ sǎo luó yě liè zài xiān zhī zhōng ma ？」

When all who knew him before saw that, behold, he prophesied with the prophets, then the people said to one another, “What is this that has come to the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?”

那地方有一個人說：「這些人的父親是誰呢？」此後有句俗語說：「掃羅也列在先知中嗎？」

nà dì fāng yǒu yí gè rén shuō ：「 zhè xiē rén de fù qīn shì shuí ne ？」 cǐ hòu yǒu jù sú yǔ shuō ：「 sǎo luó yě liè zài xiān zhī zhōng ma ？」

One from the same place answered, “Who is their father?” Therefore it became a proverb, “Is Saul also among the prophets?”

掃羅受感說話已畢，就上邱壇去了。

sǎo luó shòu gǎn shuō huà yǐ bì ， jiù shàng qiū tán qù le 。

When he had finished prophesying, he came to the high place.

掃羅的叔叔問掃羅和他僕人說：「你們往哪裏去了？」回答說：「找驢去了。我們見沒有驢，就到了撒母耳那裏。」

sǎo luó de shū shū wèn sǎo luó hé tā pú rén shuō ：「 nǐ men wǎng nǎ lǐ qù le ？」 huí dá shuō ：「 zhǎo lǘ qù le 。 wǒ men jiàn méi yǒu lǘ ， jiù dào le sā mǔ ěr nà lǐ 。」

Saul’s uncle said to him and to his servant, “Where did you go?” He said, “To seek the donkeys. When we saw that they were not found, we came to Samuel.”

掃羅的叔叔說：「請將撒母耳向你們所說的話告訴我。」

sǎo luó de shū shu shuō ：「 qǐng jiāng sā mǔ ěr xiàng nǐ men suǒ shuō de huà gào sù wǒ 。」

Saul’s uncle said, “Please tell me what Samuel said to you.”

掃羅對他叔叔說：「他明明地告訴我們驢已經找着了。」至於撒母耳所說的國事，掃羅卻沒有告訴叔叔。

sǎo luó duì tā shū shu shuō ：「 tā míng míng dì gào sù wǒ men lǘ yǐ jīng zhǎo zhe le 。」 zhì yú sā mǔ ěr suǒ shuō de guó shì ， sǎo luó què méi yǒu gào sù shū shu 。

Saul said to his uncle, “He told us plainly that the donkeys were found.” But concerning the matter of the kingdom, of which Samuel spoke, he didn’t tell him.

撒母耳將百姓招聚到米斯巴耶和華那裏，

sā mǔ ěr jiāng bǎi xìng zhāo jù dào mǐ sī bā yē hé huá nà lǐ ，

Samuel called the people together to the LORD to Mizpah;

對他們說：「耶和華－以色列的上帝如此說：『我領你們以色列人出埃及，救你們脫離埃及人的手，又救你們脫離欺壓你們各國之人的手。』

duì tā men shuō ：「 yē hé huá — yǐ sè liè de shén rú cǐ shuō ：『 wǒ lǐng nǐ men yǐ sè liè rén chū āi jí ， jiù nǐ men tuō lí āi jí rén de shǒu ， yòu jiù nǐ men tuō lí qī yā nǐ men gè guó zhī rén de shǒu 。』

and he said to the children of Israel, “The LORD, the God of Israel, says ‘I brought Israel up out of Egypt and I delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all the kingdoms that oppressed you.’

你們今日卻厭棄了救你們脫離一切災難的上帝，說：『求你立一個王治理我們。』現在你們應當按着支派、宗族都站在耶和華面前。」

nǐ men jīn rì què yàn qì le jiù nǐ men tuō lí yí qiè zāi nàn de shén ， shuō ：『 qiú nǐ lì yí gè wáng zhì lǐ wǒ men 。』 xiàn zài nǐ men yīng dāng àn zhe zhī pài 、 zōng zú dōu zhàn zài yē hé huá miàn qián 。」

But you have today rejected your God, who himself saves you out of all your calamities and your distresses; and you have said to him, ‘No! Set a king over us!’ Now therefore present yourselves before the LORD by your tribes and by your thousands.”

於是，撒母耳使以色列眾支派近前來掣籤，就掣出便雅憫支派來；

yú shì ， sā mǔ ěr shǐ yǐ sè liè zhòng zhī pài jìn qián lái chè qiān ， jiù chè chū biàn yǎ mǐn zhī pài lái ；

So Samuel brought all the tribes of Israel near, and the tribe of Benjamin was chosen.

又使便雅憫支派按着宗族近前來，就掣出瑪特利族，從其中又掣出基士的兒子掃羅。眾人尋找他卻尋不着，

yòu shǐ biàn yǎ mǐn zhī pài àn zhe zōng zú jìn qián lái ， jiù chè chū mǎ tè lì zú ， cóng qí zhōng yòu chè chū jī shì de ér zi sǎo luó 。 zhòng rén xún zhǎo tā què xún bù zhe ，

He brought the tribe of Benjamin near by their families and the family of the Matrites was chosen. Then Saul the son of Kish was chosen; but when they looked for him, he could not be found.

就問耶和華說：「那人到這裏來了沒有？」耶和華說：「他藏在器具中了。」

jiù wèn yē hé huá shuō ：「 nà rén dào zhè lǐ lái le méi yǒu ？」 yē hé huá shuō ：「 tā cáng zài qì jù zhōng le 。」

Therefore they asked of the LORD further, “Is there yet a man to come here?” The LORD answered, “Behold, he has hidden himself among the baggage.”

眾人就跑去從那裏領出他來。他站在百姓中間，身體比眾民高過一頭。

zhòng rén jiù pǎo qù cóng nà lǐ lǐng chū tā lái 。 tā zhàn zài bǎi xìng zhōng jiān ， shēn tǐ bǐ zhòng mín gāo guò yì tóu 。

They ran and got him there. When he stood among the people, he was higher than any of the people from his shoulders and upward.

撒母耳對眾民說：「你們看耶和華所揀選的人，眾民中有可比他的嗎？」眾民就大聲歡呼說：「願王萬歲！」

sā mǔ ěr duì zhòng mín shuō ：「 nǐ men kàn yē hé huá suǒ jiǎn xuǎn de rén ， zhòng mín zhōng yǒu kě bǐ tā de ma ？」 zhòng mín jiù dà shēng huān hū shuō ：「 yuàn wáng wàn suì ！」

Samuel said to all the people, “Do you see him whom the LORD has chosen, that there is no one like him among all the people?” All the people shouted and said, “Long live the king!”

撒母耳將國法對百姓說明，又記在書上，放在耶和華面前，然後遣散眾民，各回各家去了。

sā mǔ ěr jiāng guó fǎ duì bǎi xìng shuō míng ， yòu jì zài shū shàng ， fàng zài yē hé huá miàn qián ， rán hòu qiǎn sàn zhòng mín ， gè huí gè jiā qù le 。

Then Samuel told the people the regulations of the kingdom, and wrote it in a book and laid it up before the LORD. Samuel sent all the people away, every man to his house.

掃羅往基比亞回家去，有上帝感動的一群人跟隨他。

sǎo luó wǎng jī bǐ yà huí jiā qù ， yǒu shén gǎn dòng de yì qún rén gēn suí tā 。

Saul also went to his house in Gibeah; and the army went with him, whose hearts God had touched.

但有些匪徒說：「這人怎能救我們呢？」就藐視他，沒有送他禮物；掃羅卻不理會。

dàn yǒu xiē fěi tú shuō ：「 zhè rén zěn néng jiù wǒ men ne ？」 jiù miǎo shì tā ， méi yǒu sòng tā lǐ wù ； sǎo luó què bù lǐ huì 。

But certain worthless fellows said, “How could this man save us?” They despised him, and brought him no tribute. But he held his peace.
