撒母耳記上 9

有一個便雅憫人，名叫基士，是便雅憫人亞斐亞的玄孫，比歌拉的曾孫，洗羅的孫子，亞別的兒子，是個大能的勇士 。

yǒu yí gè biàn yǎ mǐn rén ， míng jiào jī shì ， shì biàn yǎ mǐn rén yà fěi yà de xuán sūn ， bǐ gē lā de zēng sūn ， xǐ luó de sūn zi ， yà bié de ér zi ， shì gè dà néng de yǒng shì 。

Now there was a man of Benjamin, whose name was Kish the son of Abiel, the son of Zeror, the son of Becorath, the son of Aphiah, the son of a Benjamite, a mighty man of valor.

他有一個兒子，名叫掃羅，又健壯、又俊美，在以色列人中沒有一個能比他的；身體比眾民高過一頭。

tā yǒu yí gè ér zi ， míng jiào sǎo luó ， yòu jiàn zhuàng 、 yòu jùn měi ， zài yǐ sè liè rén zhōng méi yǒu yí gè néng bǐ tā de ； shēn tǐ bǐ zhòng mín gāo guò yì tóu 。

He had a son whose name was Saul, an impressive young man; and there was not among the children of Israel a more handsome person than he. From his shoulders and upward he was taller than any of the people.

掃羅的父親基士丟了幾頭驢，他就吩咐兒子掃羅說：「你帶一個僕人去尋找驢。」

sǎo luó de fù qīn jī shì diū le jǐ tóu lǘ ， tā jiù fēn fù ér zi sǎo luó shuō ：「 nǐ dài yí gè pú rén qù xún zhǎo lǘ 。」

The donkeys of Kish, Saul’s father, were lost. Kish said to Saul his son, “Now take one of the servants with you, and arise, go look for the donkeys.”

掃羅就走過以法蓮山地，又過沙利沙地，都沒有找着；又過沙琳地，驢也不在那裏；又過便雅憫地，還沒有找着。

sǎo luó jiù zǒu guò yǐ fǎ lián shān dì ， yòu guò shā lì shā dì ， dōu méi yǒu zhǎo zhe ； yòu guò shā lín dì ， lǘ yě bú zài nà lǐ ； yòu guò biàn yǎ mǐn dì ， hái méi yǒu zhǎo zhe 。

He passed through the hill country of Ephraim, and passed through the land of Shalishah, but they didn’t find them. Then they passed through the land of Shaalim, and they weren’t there. Then he passed through the land of the Benjamites, but they didn’t find them.

到了蘇弗地，掃羅對跟隨他的僕人說：「我們不如回去，恐怕我父親不為驢掛心，反為我們擔憂。」

dào le sū fú dì ， sǎo luó duì gēn suí tā de pú rén shuō ：「 wǒ men bù rú huí qù ， kǒng pà wǒ fù qīn bú wèi lǘ guà xīn ， fǎn wèi wǒ men dān yōu 。」

When they had come to the land of Zuph, Saul said to his servant who was with him, “Come! Let’s return, lest my father stop caring about the donkeys and be anxious for us.”

僕人說：「這城裏有一位神人，是眾人所尊重的，凡他所說的全都應驗。我們不如往他那裏去，或者他能將我們當走的路指示我們。」

pú rén shuō ：「 zhè chéng lǐ yǒu yí wèi shén rén ， shì zhòng rén suǒ zūn zhòng de ， fán tā suǒ shuō de quán dōu yìng yàn 。 wǒ men bù rú wǎng tā nà lǐ qù ， huò zhě tā néng jiāng wǒ men dāng zǒu de lù zhǐ shì wǒ men 。」

The servant said to him, “Behold now, there is a man of God in this city, and he is a man who is held in honor. All that he says surely happens. Now let’s go there. Perhaps he can tell us which way to go.”

掃羅對僕人說：「我們若去，有甚麼可以送那人呢？我們囊中的食物都吃盡了，也沒有禮物可以送那神人，我們還有甚麼沒有？」

sǎo luó duì pú rén shuō ：「 wǒ men ruò qù ， yǒu shén me kě yǐ sòng nà rén ne ？ wǒ men náng zhōng de shí wù dōu chī jìn le ， yě méi yǒu lǐ wù kě yǐ sòng nà shén rén ， wǒ men hái yǒu shén me méi yǒu ？」

Then Saul said to his servant, “But behold, if we go, what should we bring the man? For the bread is spent in our sacks, and there is not a present to bring to the man of God. What do we have?”

僕人回答掃羅說：「我手裏有銀子一舍客勒的四分之一，可以送那神人，請他指示我們當走的路。」（

pú rén huí dá sǎo luó shuō ：「 wǒ shǒu lǐ yǒu yín zi yí shè kè lè de sì fēn zhī yī ， kě yǐ sòng nà shén rén ， qǐng tā zhǐ shì wǒ men dāng zǒu de lù 。」（

The servant answered Saul again and said, “Behold, I have in my hand the fourth part of a shekel of silver. I will give that to the man of God, to tell us our way.”

從前以色列中，若有人去問上帝，就說：「我們問先見去吧！」現在稱為「先知」的，從前稱為「先見」。）

cóng qián yǐ sè liè zhōng ， ruò yǒu rén qù wèn shén ， jiù shuō ：「 wǒ men wèn xiān jiàn qù ba ！」 xiàn zài chēng wéi 「 xiān zhī 」 de ， cóng qián chēng wéi 「 xiān jiàn 」。）

(In earlier times in Israel, when a man went to inquire of God, he said, “Come! Let’s go to the seer;” for he who is now called a prophet was before called a seer.)

掃羅對僕人說：「你說的是，我們可以去。」於是他們往神人所住的城裏去了。

sǎo luó duì pú rén shuō ：「 nǐ shuō de shì ， wǒ men kě yǐ qù 。」 yú shì tā men wǎng shén rén suǒ zhù de chéng lǐ qù le 。

Then Saul said to his servant, “Well said. Come! Let’s go.” So they went to the city where the man of God was.

他們上坡要進城，就遇見幾個少年女子出來打水，問她們說：「先見在這裏沒有？」

tā men shàng pō yào jìn chéng ， jiù yù jiàn jǐ gè shào nián nǚ zǐ chū lái dǎ shuǐ ， wèn tā men shuō ：「 xiān jiàn zài zhè lǐ méi yǒu ？」

As they went up the ascent to the city, they found young maidens going out to draw water, and said to them, “Is the seer here?”

女子回答說：「在這裏，他在你們前面。快去吧！他今日正到城裏，因為今日百姓要在邱壇獻祭。

nǚ zǐ huí dá shuō ：「 zài zhè lǐ ， tā zài nǐ men qián miàn 。 kuài qù ba ！ tā jīn rì zhèng dào chéng lǐ ， yīn wèi jīn rì bǎi xìng yào zài qiū tán xiàn jì 。

They answered them and said, “He is. Behold, he is before you. Hurry now, for he has come today into the city; for the people have a sacrifice today in the high place.

在他還沒有上邱壇吃祭物之先，你們一進城必遇見他；因他未到，百姓不能吃，必等他先祝祭，然後請的客才吃。現在你們上去，這時候必遇見他。」

zài tā hái méi yǒu shàng qiū tán chī jì wù zhī xiān ， nǐ men yí jìn chéng bì yù jiàn tā ； yīn tā wèi dào ， bǎi xìng bù néng chī ， bì děng tā xiān zhù jì ， rán hòu qǐng de kè cái chī 。 xiàn zài nǐ men shàng qù ， zhè shí hòu bì yù jiàn tā 。」

As soon as you have come into the city, you will immediately find him before he goes up to the high place to eat; for the people will not eat until he comes, because he blesses the sacrifice. Afterwards those who are invited eat. Now therefore go up; for at this time you will find him.”

二人就上去；將進城的時候，撒母耳正迎着他們來，要上邱壇去。

èr rén jiù shàng qù ； jiāng jìn chéng de shí hòu ， sā mǔ ěr zhèng yíng zhe tā men lái ， yào shàng qiū tán qù 。

They went up to the city. As they came within the city, behold, Samuel came out toward them to go up to the high place.

掃羅未到的前一日，耶和華已經指示撒母耳說：

sǎo luó wèi dào de qián yí rì ， yē hé huá yǐ jīng zhǐ shì sā mǔ ěr shuō ：

Now the LORD had revealed to Samuel a day before Saul came, saying,

「明日這時候，我必使一個人從便雅憫地到你這裏來，你要膏他作我民以色列的君。他必救我民脫離非利士人的手；因我民的哀聲上達於我，我就眷顧他們。」

「 míng rì zhè shí hòu ， wǒ bì shǐ yí gè rén cóng biàn yǎ mǐn dì dào nǐ zhè lǐ lái ， nǐ yào gāo tā zuò wǒ mín yǐ sè liè de jūn 。 tā bì jiù wǒ mín tuō lí fēi lì shì rén de shǒu ； yīn wǒ mín de āi shēng shàng dá yú wǒ ， wǒ jiù juàn gù tā men 。」

“Tomorrow about this time I will send you a man out of the land of Benjamin, and you shall anoint him to be prince over my people Israel. He will save my people out of the hand of the Philistines; for I have looked upon my people, because their cry has come to me.”

撒母耳看見掃羅的時候，耶和華對他說：「看哪，這人就是我對你所說的，他必治理我的民。」

sā mǔ ěr kàn jiàn sǎo luó de shí hòu ， yē hé huá duì tā shuō ：「 kàn nǎ ， zhè rén jiù shì wǒ duì nǐ suǒ shuō de ， tā bì zhì lǐ wǒ de mín 。」

When Samuel saw Saul, the LORD said to him, “Behold, the man of whom I spoke to you! He will have authority over my people.”

掃羅在城門裏走到撒母耳跟前，說：「請告訴我，先見的寓所在哪裏？」

sǎo luó zài chéng mén lǐ zǒu dào sā mǔ ěr gēn qián ， shuō ：「 qǐng gào sù wǒ ， xiān jiàn de yù suǒ zài nǎ lǐ ？」

Then Saul approached Samuel in the gateway, and said, “Please tell me where the seer’s house is.”

撒母耳回答說：「我就是先見。你在我前面上邱壇去，因為你們今日必與我同席；明日早晨我送你去，將你心裏的事都告訴你。

sā mǔ ěr huí dá shuō ：「 wǒ jiù shì xiān jiàn 。 nǐ zài wǒ qián miàn shàng qiū tán qù ， yīn wèi nǐ men jīn rì bì yǔ wǒ tóng xí ； míng rì zǎo chén wǒ sòng nǐ qù ， jiāng nǐ xīn lǐ de shì dōu gào sù nǐ 。

Samuel answered Saul and said, “I am the seer. Go up before me to the high place, for you are to eat with me today. In the morning I will let you go and will tell you all that is in your heart.

至於你前三日所丟的那幾頭驢，你心裏不必掛念，已經找着了。以色列眾人所仰慕的是誰呢？不是仰慕你和你父的全家嗎？」

zhì yú nǐ qián sān rì suǒ diū de nà jǐ tóu lǘ ， nǐ xīn lǐ bú bì guà niàn ， yǐ jīng zhǎo zhe le 。 yǐ sè liè zhòng rén suǒ yǎng mù de shì shuí ne ？ bú shì yǎng mù nǐ hé nǐ fù de quán jiā ma ？」

As for your donkeys who were lost three days ago, don’t set your mind on them, for they have been found. For whom does all Israel desire? Is it not you and all your father’s house?”

掃羅說：「我不是以色列支派中至小的便雅憫人嗎？我家不是便雅憫支派中至小的家嗎？你為何對我說這樣的話呢？」

sǎo luó shuō ：「 wǒ bú shì yǐ sè liè zhī pài zhōng zhì xiǎo de biàn yǎ mǐn rén ma ？ wǒ jiā bú shì biàn yǎ mǐn zhī pài zhōng zhì xiǎo de jiā ma ？ nǐ wèi hé duì wǒ shuō zhè yàng de huà ne ？」

Saul answered, “Am I not a Benjamite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel? And my family the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? Why then do you speak to me like this?”

撒母耳領掃羅和他僕人進了客堂，使他們在請來的客中坐首位；客約有三十個人。

sā mǔ ěr lǐng sǎo luó hé tā pú rén jìn le kè táng ， shǐ tā men zài qǐng lái de kè zhōng zuò shǒu wèi ； kè yuē yǒu sān shí gè rén 。

Samuel took Saul and his servant and brought them into the guest room, and made them sit in the best place among those who were invited, who were about thirty persons.

撒母耳對廚役說：「我交給你收存的那一分祭肉現在可以拿來。」

sā mǔ ěr duì chú yì shuō ：「 wǒ jiāo gěi nǐ shōu cún de nà yì fēn jì ròu xiàn zài kě yǐ ná lái 。」

Samuel said to the cook, “Bring the portion which I gave you, of which I said to you, ‘Set it aside.’”

廚役就把收存的腿拿來，擺在掃羅面前，撒母耳說：「這是所留下的，放在你面前。吃吧！因我請百姓的時候，特意為你存留這肉到此時。」 當日，掃羅就與撒母耳同席。

chú yì jiù bǎ shōu cún de tuǐ ná lái ， bǎi zài sǎo luó miàn qián ， sā mǔ ěr shuō ：「 zhè shì suǒ liú xià de ， fàng zài nǐ miàn qián 。 chī ba ！ yīn wǒ qǐng bǎi xìng de shí hòu ， tè yì wèi nǐ cún liú zhè ròu dào cǐ shí 。」 dāng rì ， sǎo luó jiù yǔ sā mǔ ěr tóng xí 。

The cook took up the thigh, and that which was on it, and set it before Saul. Samuel said, “Behold, that which has been reserved! Set it before yourself and eat; because it has been kept for you for the appointed time, for I said, ‘I have invited the people.’” So Saul ate with Samuel that day.

眾人從邱壇下來進城，撒母耳和掃羅在房頂上說話。

zhòng rén cóng qiū tán xià lái jìn chéng ， sā mǔ ěr hé sǎo luó zài fáng dǐng shàng shuō huà 。

When they had come down from the high place into the city, he talked with Saul on the housetop.

次日清早起來，黎明的時候，掃羅在房頂上。撒母耳呼叫他說：「起來吧，我好送你回去。」掃羅就起來，和撒母耳一同出去。

cì rì qīng zǎo qǐ lái ， lí míng de shí hòu ， sǎo luó zài fáng dǐng shàng 。 sā mǔ ěr hū jiào tā shuō ：「 qǐ lái ba ， wǒ hǎo sòng nǐ huí qù 。」 sǎo luó jiù qǐ lái ， hé sā mǔ ěr yì tóng chū qù 。

They arose early; and about daybreak, Samuel called to Saul on the housetop, saying, “Get up, that I may send you away.” Saul arose, and they both went outside, he and Samuel, together.

二人下到城角，撒母耳對掃羅說：「要吩咐僕人先走（僕人就先走了）；你且站在這裏，等我將上帝的話傳與你聽。」

èr rén xià dào chéng jiǎo ， sā mǔ ěr duì sǎo luó shuō ：「 yào fēn fù pú rén xiān zǒu （ pú rén jiù xiān zǒu le ）； nǐ qiě zhàn zài zhè lǐ ， děng wǒ jiāng shén de huà chuán yǔ nǐ tīng 。」

As they were going down at the end of the city, Samuel said to Saul, “Tell the servant to go on ahead of us.” He went ahead, then Samuel said, “But stand still first, that I may cause you to hear God’s message.”
