撒母耳記上 4

以色列人出去與非利士人打仗，安營在以便以謝；非利士人安營在亞弗。

yǐ sè liè rén chū qù yǔ fēi lì shì rén dǎ zhàng ， ān yíng zài yǐ biàn yǐ xiè ； fēi lì shì rén ān yíng zài yà fú 。

The word of Samuel came to all Israel. Now Israel went out against the Philistines to battle, and encamped beside Ebenezer; and the Philistines encamped in Aphek.

非利士人向以色列人擺陣。兩軍交戰的時候，以色列人敗在非利士人面前；非利士人在戰場上殺了他們的軍兵約有四千人。

fēi lì shì rén xiàng yǐ sè liè rén bǎi zhèn 。 liǎng jūn jiāo zhàn de shí hòu ， yǐ sè liè rén bài zài fēi lì shì rén miàn qián ； fēi lì shì rén zài zhàn chǎng shàng shā le tā men de jūn bīng yuē yǒu sì qiān rén 。

The Philistines put themselves in array against Israel. When they joined battle, Israel was defeated by the Philistines, who killed about four thousand men of the army in the field.

百姓回到營裏，以色列的長老說：「耶和華今日為何使我們敗在非利士人面前呢？我們不如將耶和華的約櫃從示羅抬到我們這裏來，好在我們中間救我們脫離敵人的手。」

bǎi xìng huí dào yíng lǐ ， yǐ sè liè de zhǎng lǎo shuō ：「 yē hé huá jīn rì wèi hé shǐ wǒ men bài zài fēi lì shì rén miàn qián ne ？ wǒ men bù rú jiāng yē hé huá de yuē guì cóng shì luó tái dào wǒ men zhè lǐ lái ， hǎo zài wǒ men zhōng jiān jiù wǒ men tuō lí dí rén de shǒu 。」

When the people had come into the camp, the elders of Israel said, “Why has the LORD defeated us today before the Philistines? Let’s get the ark of the LORD’s covenant out of Shiloh and bring it to us, that it may come among us and save us out of the hand of our enemies.”

於是百姓打發人到示羅，從那裏將坐在二基路伯上萬軍之耶和華的約櫃抬來。以利的兩個兒子何弗尼、非尼哈與上帝的約櫃同來。

yú shì bǎi xìng dǎ fā rén dào shì luó ， cóng nà lǐ jiāng zuò zài èr jī lù bó shàng wàn jūn zhī yē hé huá de yuē guì tái lái 。 yǐ lì de liǎng gè ér zi hé fú ní 、 fēi ní hā yǔ shén de yuē guì tóng lái 。

So the people sent to Shiloh, and they brought from there the ark of the covenant of the LORD of Armies, who sits above the cherubim; and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.

耶和華的約櫃到了營中，以色列眾人就大聲歡呼，地便震動。

yē hé huá de yuē guì dào le yíng zhōng ， yǐ sè liè zhòng rén jiù dà shēng huān hū ， dì biàn zhèn dòng 。

When the ark of the LORD’s covenant came into the camp, all Israel shouted with a great shout, so that the earth resounded.

非利士人聽見歡呼的聲音，就說：「在希伯來人營裏大聲歡呼，是甚麼緣故呢？」隨後就知道耶和華的約櫃到了營中。

fēi lì shì rén tīng jiàn huān hū de shēng yīn ， jiù shuō ：「 zài xī bó lái rén yíng lǐ dà shēng huān hū ， shì shén me yuán gù ne ？」 suí hòu jiù zhī dào yē hé huá de yuē guì dào le yíng zhōng 。

When the Philistines heard the noise of the shout, they said, “What does the noise of this great shout in the camp of the Hebrews mean?” They understood that the LORD’s ark had come into the camp.

非利士人就懼怕起來，說：「有神到了他們營中」；又說：「我們有禍了！向來不曾有這樣的事。

fēi lì shì rén jiù jù pà qǐ lái ， shuō ：「 yǒu shén dào le tā men yíng zhōng 」； yòu shuō ：「 wǒ men yǒu huò le ！ xiàng lái bù céng yǒu zhè yàng de shì 。

The Philistines were afraid, for they said, “God has come into the camp.” They said, “Woe to us! For there has not been such a thing before.

我們有禍了！誰能救我們脫離這些大能之神的手呢？從前在曠野用各樣災殃擊打埃及人的，就是這些神。

wǒ men yǒu huò le ！ shuí néng jiù wǒ men tuō lí zhè xiē dà néng zhī shén de shǒu ne ？ cóng qián zài kuàng yě yòng gè yàng zāi yāng jī dǎ āi jí rén de ， jiù shì zhè xiē shén 。

Woe to us! Who shall deliver us out of the hand of these mighty gods? These are the gods that struck the Egyptians with all kinds of plagues in the wilderness.

非利士人哪，你們要剛強，要作大丈夫，免得作希伯來人的奴僕，如同他們作你們的奴僕一樣。你們要作大丈夫，與他們爭戰。」

fēi lì shì rén nǎ ， nǐ men yào gāng qiáng ， yào zuò dà zhàng fu ， miǎn de zuò xī bó lái rén de nú pú ， rú tóng tā men zuò nǐ men de nú pú yí yàng 。 nǐ men yào zuò dà zhàng fu ， yǔ tā men zhēng zhàn 。」

Be strong and behave like men, O you Philistines, that you not be servants to the Hebrews, as they have been to you. Strengthen yourselves like men, and fight!”

非利士人和以色列人打仗，以色列人敗了，各向各家奔逃，被殺的人甚多，以色列的步兵仆倒了三萬。

fēi lì shì rén hé yǐ sè liè rén dǎ zhàng ， yǐ sè liè rén bài le ， gè xiàng gè jiā bēn táo ， bèi shā de rén shèn duō ， yǐ sè liè de bù bīng pú dǎo le sān wàn 。

The Philistines fought, and Israel was defeated, and each man fled to his tent. There was a very great slaughter; for thirty thousand footmen of Israel fell.

上帝的約櫃被擄去，以利的兩個兒子何弗尼、非尼哈也都被殺了。

shén de yuē guì bèi lǔ qù ， yǐ lì de liǎng gè ér zi hé fú ní 、 fēi ní hā yě dōu bèi shā le 。

God’s ark was taken; and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were slain.

當日，有一個便雅憫人從陣上逃跑，衣服撕裂，頭蒙灰塵，來到示羅。

dāng rì ， yǒu yí gè biàn yǎ mǐn rén cóng zhèn shàng táo pǎo ， yī fu sī liè ， tóu méng huī chén ， lái dào shì luó 。

A man of Benjamin ran out of the army and came to Shiloh the same day, with his clothes torn and with dirt on his head.

到了的時候，以利正在道旁坐在自己的位上觀望，為上帝的約櫃心裏擔憂。那人進城報信，合城的人就都呼喊起來。

dào le de shí hòu ， yǐ lì zhèng zài dào páng zuò zài zì jǐ de wèi shàng guān wàng ， wèi shén de yuē guì xīn lǐ dān yōu 。 nà rén jìn chéng bào xìn ， hé chéng de rén jiù dōu hū hǎn qǐ lái 。

When he came, behold, Eli was sitting on his seat by the road watching, for his heart trembled for God’s ark. When the man came into the city and told about it, all the city cried out.

以利聽見呼喊的聲音就問說：「這喧嚷是甚麼緣故呢？」那人急忙來報信給以利。

yǐ lì tīng jiàn hū hǎn de shēng yīn jiù wèn shuō ：「 zhè xuān rǎng shì shén me yuán gù ne ？」 nà rén jí máng lái bào xìn gěi yǐ lì 。

When Eli heard the noise of the crying, he said, “What does the noise of this tumult mean?” The man hurried, and came and told Eli.

那時以利九十八歲了，眼目發直，不能看見。

nà shí yǐ lì jiǔ shí bā suì le ， yǎn mù fā zhí ， bù néng kàn jiàn 。

Now Eli was ninety-eight years old. His eyes were set, so that he could not see.

那人對以利說：「我是從陣上來的，今日我從陣上逃回。」以利說：「我兒，事情怎樣？」

nà rén duì yǐ lì shuō ：「 wǒ shì cóng zhèn shàng lái de ， jīn rì wǒ cóng zhèn shàng táo huí 。」 yǐ lì shuō ：「 wǒ ér ， shì qíng zěn yàng ？」

The man said to Eli, “I am he who came out of the army, and I fled today out of the army.” He said, “How did the matter go, my son?”

報信的回答說：「以色列人在非利士人面前逃跑，民中被殺的甚多！你的兩個兒子何弗尼、非尼哈也都死了，並且上帝的約櫃被擄去。」

bào xìn de huí dá shuō ：「 yǐ sè liè rén zài fēi lì shì rén miàn qián táo pǎo ， mín zhōng bèi shā de shèn duō ！ nǐ de liǎng gè ér zǐ hé fú ní 、 fēi ní hā yě dōu sǐ le ， bìng qiě shén de yuē guì bèi lǔ qù 。」

He who brought the news answered, “Israel has fled before the Philistines, and there has been also a great slaughter among the people. Your two sons also, Hophni and Phinehas, are dead, and God’s ark has been captured.”

他一提上帝的約櫃，以利就從他的位上往後跌倒，在門旁折斷頸項而死；因為他年紀老邁，身體沉重。以利作以色列的士師四十年。

tā yì tí shén de yuē guì ， yǐ lì jiù cóng tā de wèi shàng wǎng hòu diē dǎo ， zài mén páng zhé duàn jǐng xiàng ér sǐ ； yīn wèi tā nián jì lǎo mài ， shēn tǐ chén zhòng 。 yǐ lì zuò yǐ sè liè dī shì shī sì shí nián 。

When he made mention of God’s ark, Eli fell from off his seat backward by the side of the gate; and his neck broke, and he died, for he was an old man and heavy. He had judged Israel forty years.

以利的兒婦、非尼哈的妻懷孕將到產期，她聽見上帝的約櫃被擄去，公公和丈夫都死了，就猛然疼痛，曲身生產；

yǐ lì de ér fù 、 fēi ní hā de qī huái yùn jiāng dào chǎn qī ， tā tīng jiàn shén de yuē guì bèi lǔ qù ， gōng gong hé zhàng fu dōu sǐ le ， jiù měng rán téng tòng ， qǔ shēn shēng chǎn ；

His daughter-in-law, Phinehas’ wife, was with child, near to giving birth. When she heard the news that God’s ark was taken and that her father-in-law and her husband were dead, she bowed herself and gave birth; for her pains came on her.

將要死的時候，旁邊站着的婦人們對她說：「不要怕！你生了男孩子了。」她卻不回答，也不放在心上。

jiāng yào sǐ de shí hòu ， páng biān zhàn zhe de fù rén men duì tā shuō ：「 bú yào pà ！ nǐ shēng le nán hái zi le 。」 tā què bù huí dá ， yě bú fàng zài xīn shàng 。

About the time of her death the women who stood by her said to her, “Don’t be afraid, for you have given birth to a son.” But she didn’t answer, neither did she regard it.

她給孩子起名叫以迦博，說：「榮耀離開以色列了！」這是因上帝的約櫃被擄去，又因她公公和丈夫都死了。

tā gěi hái zi qǐ míng jiào yǐ jiā bó ， shuō ：「 róng yào lí kāi yǐ sè liè le ！」 zhè shì yīn shén de yuē guì bèi lǔ qù ， yòu yīn tā gōng gong hé zhàng fu dōu sǐ le 。

She named the child Ichabod, saying, “The glory has departed from Israel!” because God’s ark was taken, and because of her father-in-law and her husband.

她又說：「榮耀離開以色列，因為上帝的約櫃被擄去了。」

tā yòu shuō ：「 róng yào lí kāi yǐ sè liè ， yīn wèi shén de yuē guì bèi lǔ qù le 。」

She said, “The glory has departed from Israel; for God’s ark has been taken.”
