亞哈有七十個兒子在撒馬利亞。耶戶寫信送到撒馬利亞，通知耶斯列的首領，就是長老和教養亞哈眾子的人，說：

yà hā yǒu qī shí gè ér zi zài sā mǎ lì yà 。 yē hù xiě xìn sòng dào sā mǎ lì yà ， tōng zhī yē sī liè de shǒu lǐng ， jiù shì zhǎng lǎo hé jiào yǎng yà hā zhòng zǐ de rén ， shuō ：

Now Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. Jehu wrote letters and sent them to Samaria, to the rulers of Jezreel, even the elders, and to those who brought up Ahab’s sons, saying,

「你們那裏既有你們主人的眾子和車馬、器械、堅固城，

「 nǐ men nà lǐ jì yǒu nǐ men zhǔ rén de zhòng zǐ hé chē mǎ 、 qì xiè 、 jiān gù chéng ，

“Now as soon as this letter comes to you, since your master’s sons are with you, and you have chariots and horses, a fortified city also, and armor,

接了這信，就可以在你們主人的眾子中選擇一個賢能合宜的，使他坐他父親的位，你們也可以為你們主人的家爭戰。」

jiē le zhè xìn ， jiù kě yǐ zài nǐ men zhǔ rén de zhòng zǐ zhōng xuǎn zé yí gè xián néng hé yí de ， shǐ tā zuò tā fù qīn de wèi ， nǐ men yě kě yǐ wéi nǐ men zhǔ rén de jiā zhēng zhàn 。」

select the best and fittest of your master’s sons, set him on his father’s throne, and fight for your master’s house.”

他們卻甚懼怕，彼此說：「二王在他面前尚且站立不住，我們怎能站得住呢？」

tā men què shèn jù pà ， bǐ cǐ shuō ：「 èr wáng zài tā miàn qián shàng qiě zhàn lì bú zhù ， wǒ men zěn néng zhàn dé zhù ne ？」

But they were exceedingly afraid, and said, “Behold, the two kings didn’t stand before him! How then shall we stand?”

家宰、邑宰，和長老，並教養眾子的人，打發人去見耶戶，說：「我們是你的僕人，凡你所吩咐我們的都必遵行，我們不立誰作王，你看怎樣好就怎樣行。」

jiā zǎi 、 yì zǎi ， hé zhǎng lǎo ， bìng jiào yǎng zhòng zǐ de rén ， dǎ fā rén qù jiàn yē hù ， shuō ：「 wǒ men shì nǐ de pú rén ， fán nǐ suǒ fēn fù wǒ men de dōu bì zūn xíng ， wǒ men bú lì shuí zuò wáng ， nǐ kàn zěn yàng hǎo jiù zěn yàng xíng 。」

He who was over the household, and he who was over the city, the elders also, and those who raised the children, sent to Jehu, saying, “We are your servants, and will do all that you ask us. We will not make any man king. You do that which is good in your eyes.”

耶戶又給他們寫信說：「你們若歸順我，聽從我的話，明日這時候，要將你們主人眾子的首級帶到耶斯列來見我。」那時王的兒子七十人都住在教養他們那城中的尊貴人家裏。

yē hù yòu gěi tā men xiě xìn shuō ：「 nǐ men ruò guī shùn wǒ ， tīng cóng wǒ de huà ， míng rì zhè shí hòu ， yào jiāng nǐ men zhǔ rén zhòng zǐ de shǒu jí dài dào yē sī liè lái jiàn wǒ 。」 nà shí wáng de ér zi qī shí rén dōu zhù zài jiào yǎng tā men nà chéng zhōng de zūn guì rén jiā lǐ 。

Then he wrote a letter the second time to them, saying, “If you are on my side, and if you will listen to my voice, take the heads of the men who are your master’s sons, and come to me to Jezreel by tomorrow this time.” Now the king’s sons, being seventy persons, were with the great men of the city, who brought them up.

信一到，他們就把王的七十個兒子殺了，將首級裝在筐裏，送到在耶斯列的耶戶那裏。

xìn yí dào ， tā men jiù bǎ wáng de qī shí gè ér zǐ shā le ， jiāng shǒu jí zhuāng zài kuāng lǐ ， sòng dào zài yē sī liè de yē hù nà lǐ 。

When the letter came to them, they took the king’s sons and killed them, even seventy people, and put their heads in baskets, and sent them to him to Jezreel.

有使者來告訴耶戶說：「他們將王眾子的首級送來了。」耶戶說：「將首級在城門口堆作兩堆，擱到明日。」

yǒu shǐ zhě lái gào sù yē hù shuō ：「 tā men jiāng wáng zhòng zǐ de shǒu jí sòng lái le 。」 yē hù shuō ：「 jiāng shǒu jí zài chéng mén kǒu duī zuò liǎng duī ， gē dào míng rì 。」

A messenger came and told him, “They have brought the heads of the king’s sons.” He said, “Lay them in two heaps at the entrance of the gate until the morning.”

次日早晨，耶戶出來，站着對眾民說：「你們都是公義的，我背叛我主人，將他殺了；這些人卻是誰殺的呢？

cì rì zǎo chén ， yē hù chū lái ， zhàn zhe duì zhòng mín shuō ：「 nǐ men dōu shì gōng yì de ， wǒ bèi pàn wǒ zhǔ rén ， jiāng tā shā le ； zhè xiē rén què shì shuí shā de ne ？

In the morning, he went out and stood, and said to all the people, “You are righteous. Behold, I conspired against my master and killed him, but who killed all these?

由此可知，耶和華指着亞哈家所說的話一句沒有落空，因為耶和華藉他僕人以利亞所說的話都成就了。」

yóu cǐ kě zhī ， yē hé huá zhǐ zhe yà hā jiā suǒ shuō de huà yí jù méi yǒu luò kōng ， yīn wèi yē hé huá jiè tā pú rén yǐ lì yà suǒ shuō de huà dōu chéng jiù le 。」

Know now that nothing will fall to the earth of the LORD’s word, which the LORD spoke concerning Ahab’s house. For the LORD has done that which he spoke by his servant Elijah.”

凡亞哈家在耶斯列所剩下的人和他的大臣、密友、祭司，耶戶盡都殺了，沒有留下一個。

fán yà hā jiā zài yē sī liè suǒ shèng xià de rén hé tā de dà chén 、 mì yǒu 、 jì sī ， yē hù jìn dōu shā le ， méi yǒu liú xià yí gè 。

So Jehu struck all that remained of Ahab’s house in Jezreel, with all his great men, his familiar friends, and his priests, until he left him no one remaining.

耶戶起身往撒馬利亞去。在路上、牧人剪羊毛之處，

yē hù qǐ shēn wǎng sā mǎ lì yà qù 。 zài lù shang 、 mù rén jiǎn yáng máo zhī chù ，

He arose and departed, and went to Samaria. As he was at the shearing house of the shepherds on the way,

遇見猶大王亞哈謝的弟兄，問他們說：「你們是誰？」回答說：「我們是亞哈謝的弟兄，現在下去要問王和太后的眾子安。」

yù jiàn yóu dà wáng yà hā xiè de dì xiong ， wèn tā men shuō ：「 nǐ men shì shuí ？」 huí dá shuō ：「 wǒ men shì yà hā xiè de dì xiong ， xiàn zài xià qù yào wèn wáng hé tài hòu de zhòng zǐ ān 。」

Jehu met with the brothers of Ahaziah king of Judah, and said, “Who are you?” They answered, “We are the brothers of Ahaziah. We are going down to greet the children of the king and the children of the queen.”

耶戶吩咐說：「活捉他們！」跟從的人就活捉了他們，將他們殺在剪羊毛之處的坑邊，共四十二人，沒有留下一個。

yē hù fēn fù shuō ：「 huó zhuō tā men ！」 gēn cóng de rén jiù huó zhuō le tā men ， jiāng tā men shā zài jiǎn yáng máo zhī chù de kēng biān ， gòng sì shí èr rén ， méi yǒu liú xià yí gè 。

He said, “Take them alive!” They took them alive, and killed them at the pit of the shearing house, even forty-two men. He didn’t leave any of them.

耶戶從那裏前行，恰遇利甲的兒子約拿達來迎接他，耶戶問他安，對他說：「你誠心待我像我誠心待你嗎？」約拿達回答說：「是。」耶戶說：「若是這樣，你向我伸手」，他就伸手；耶戶拉他上車。

yē hù cóng nà lǐ qián xíng ， qià yù lì jiǎ de ér zi yuē ná dá lái yíng jiē tā ， yē hù wèn tā ān ， duì tā shuō ：「 nǐ chéng xīn dài wǒ xiàng wǒ chéng xīn dài nǐ ma ？」 yuē ná dá huí dá shuō ：「 shì 。」 yē hù shuō ：「 ruò shì zhè yàng ， nǐ xiàng wǒ shēn shǒu 」， tā jiù shēn shǒu ； yē hù lā tā shàng chē 。

When he had departed from there, he met Jehonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him. He greeted him, and said to him, “Is your heart right, as my heart is with your heart?” Jehonadab answered, “It is.” “If it is, give me your hand.” He gave him his hand; and he took him up to him into the chariot.

耶戶說：「你和我同去，看我為耶和華怎樣熱心」；於是請他坐在車上，

yē hù shuō ：「 nǐ hé wǒ tóng qù ， kàn wǒ wèi yē hé huá zěn yàng rè xīn 」； yú shì qǐng tā zuò zài chē shàng ，

He said, “Come with me, and see my zeal for the LORD.” So they made him ride in his chariot.

到了撒馬利亞，就把撒馬利亞的亞哈家剩下的人都殺了，直到滅盡，正如耶和華對以利亞所說的。

dào le sā mǎ lì yà ， jiù bǎ sā mǎ lì yà de yà hā jiā shèng xià de rén dōu shā le ， zhí dào miè jìn ， zhèng rú yē hé huá duì yǐ lì yà suǒ shuō de 。

When he came to Samaria, he struck all who remained to Ahab in Samaria, until he had destroyed them, according to the LORD’s word which he spoke to Elijah.

耶戶招聚眾民，對他們說：「亞哈事奉巴力還冷淡，耶戶卻更熱心。

yē hù zhāo jù zhòng mín ， duì tā men shuō ：「 yà hā shì fèng bā lì hái lěng dàn ， yē hù què gèng rè xīn 。

Jehu gathered all the people together, and said to them, “Ahab served Baal a little, but Jehu will serve him much.

現在我要給巴力獻大祭。應當叫巴力的眾先知和一切拜巴力的人，並巴力的眾祭司，都到我這裏來，不可缺少一個；凡不來的必不得活。」耶戶這樣行，是用詭計要殺盡拜巴力的人。

xiàn zài wǒ yào gěi bā lì xiàn dà jì 。 yīng dāng jiào bā lì de zhòng xiān zhī hé yí qiè bài bā lì de rén ， bìng bā lì de zhòng jì sī ， dōu dào wǒ zhè lǐ lái ， bù kě quē shǎo yí gè ； fán bù lái de bì bù dé huó 。」 yē hù zhè yàng xíng ， shì yòng guǐ jì yào shā jìn bài bā lì de rén 。

Now therefore call to me all the prophets of Baal, all of his worshipers, and all of his priests. Let no one be absent, for I have a great sacrifice to Baal. Whoever is absent, he shall not live.” But Jehu did deceptively, intending to destroy the worshipers of Baal.

耶戶說：「要為巴力宣告嚴肅會！」於是宣告了。

yē hù shuō ：「 yào wèi bā lì xuān gào yán sù huì ！」 yú shì xuān gào le 。

Jehu said, “Sanctify a solemn assembly for Baal!” So they proclaimed it.

耶戶差人走遍以色列地；凡拜巴力的人都來齊了，沒有一個不來的。他們進了巴力廟，巴力廟中從前邊直到後邊都滿了人。

yē hù chà rén zǒu biàn yǐ sè liè dì ； fán bài bā lì de rén dōu lái qí le ， méi yǒu yí gè bù lái de 。 tā men jìn le bā lì miào ， bā lì miào zhōng cóng qián biān zhí dào hòu biān dōu mǎn le rén 。

Jehu sent through all Israel; and all the worshipers of Baal came, so that there was not a man left that didn’t come. They came into the house of Baal; and the house of Baal was filled from one end to another.

耶戶吩咐掌管禮服的人說：「拿出禮服來，給一切拜巴力的人穿。」他就拿出禮服來給了他們。

yē hù fēn fù zhǎng guǎn lǐ fú de rén shuō ：「 ná chū lǐ fú lái ， gěi yí qiè bài bā lì de rén chuān 。」 tā jiù ná chū lǐ fú lái gěi le tā men 。

He said to him who kept the wardrobe, “Bring out robes for all the worshipers of Baal!” So he brought robes out to them.

耶戶和利甲的兒子約拿達進了巴力廟，對拜巴力的人說：「你們察看察看，在你們這裏不可有耶和華的僕人，只可容留拜巴力的人。」

yē hù hé lì jiǎ de ér zi yuē ná dá jìn le bā lì miào ， duì bài bā lì de rén shuō ：「 nǐ men chá kàn chá kàn ， zài nǐ men zhè lǐ bù kě yǒu yē hé huá de pú rén ， zhī kě róng liú bài bā lì de rén 。」

Jehu went with Jehonadab the son of Rechab into the house of Baal. Then he said to the worshipers of Baal, “Search, and see that none of the servants of the LORD are here with you, but only the worshipers of Baal.”

耶戶和約拿達進去，獻平安祭和燔祭。 耶戶先安派八十人在廟外，吩咐說：「我將這些人交在你們手中，若有一人脫逃，誰放的必叫他償命！」

yē hù hé yuē ná dá jìn qù ， xiàn píng ān jì hé fán jì 。 yē hù xiān ān pài bā shí rén zài miào wài ， fēn fù shuō ：「 wǒ jiāng zhè xiē rén jiāo zài nǐ men shǒu zhōng ， ruò yǒu yì rén tuō táo ， shuí fàng de bì jiào tā cháng mìng ！」

So they went in to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings. Now Jehu had appointed for himself eighty men outside, and said, “If any of the men whom I bring into your hands escape, he who lets him go, his life shall be for the life of him.”

耶戶獻完了燔祭，就出來吩咐護衛兵和眾軍長說：「你們進去殺他們，不容一人出來！」護衛兵和軍長就用刀殺他們，將屍首拋出去，便到巴力廟的城去了，

yē hù xiàn wán le fán jì ， jiù chū lái fēn fù hù wèi bīng hé zhòng jūn zhǎng shuō ：「 nǐ men jìn qù shā tā men ， bù róng yì rén chū lái ！」 hù wèi bīng hé jūn cháng jiù yòng dāo shā tā men ， jiāng shī shǒu pāo chū qù ， biàn dào bā lì miào de chéng qù le ，

As soon as he had finished offering the burnt offering, Jehu said to the guard and to the captains, “Go in and kill them! Let no one escape.” So they struck them with the edge of the sword. The guard and the captains threw the bodies out, and went to the inner shrine of the house of Baal.

將巴力廟中的柱像都拿出來燒了；

jiāng bā lì miào zhōng de zhù xiàng dōu ná chū lái shāo le ；

They brought out the pillars that were in the house of Baal and burned them.

毀壞了巴力柱像，拆毀了巴力廟作為廁所，直到今日。

huǐ huài le bā lì zhù xiàng ， chāi huǐ le bā lì miào zuò wéi cè suǒ ， zhí dào jīn rì 。

They broke down the pillar of Baal, and broke down the house of Baal, and made it a latrine, to this day.

這樣，耶戶在以色列中滅了巴力。

zhè yàng ， yē hù zài yǐ sè liè zhōng miè le bā lì 。

Thus Jehu destroyed Baal out of Israel.

只是耶戶不離開尼八的兒子耶羅波安使以色列人陷在罪裏的那罪，就是拜伯特利和但的金牛犢。

zhǐ shì yē hù bù lí kāi ní bā de ér zi yē luó bō ān shǐ yǐ sè liè rén xiàn zài zuì lǐ de nà zuì ， jiù shì bài bó tè lì hé dàn de jīn niú dú 。

However, Jehu didn’t depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin—the golden calves that were in Bethel and that were in Dan.

耶和華對耶戶說：「因你辦好我眼中看為正的事，照我的心意待亞哈家，你的子孫必接續你坐以色列的國位，直到四代。」

yē hé huá duì yē hù shuō ：「 yīn nǐ bàn hǎo wǒ yǎn zhōng kàn wèi zhèng de shì ， zhào wǒ de xīn yì dài yà hā jiā ， nǐ de zǐ sūn bì jiē xù nǐ zuò yǐ sè liè de guó wèi ， zhí dào sì dài 。」

The LORD said to Jehu, “Because you have done well in executing that which is right in my eyes, and have done to Ahab’s house according to all that was in my heart, your descendants shall sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.”

只是耶戶不盡心遵守耶和華－以色列上帝的律法，不離開耶羅波安使以色列人陷在罪裏的那罪。

zhǐ shì yē hù bú jìn xīn zūn shǒu yē hé huá — yǐ sè liè shén de lǜ fǎ ， bù lí kāi yē luó bō ān shǐ yǐ sè liè rén xiàn zài zuì lǐ de nà zuì 。

But Jehu took no heed to walk in the law of the LORD, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He didn’t depart from the sins of Jeroboam, with which he made Israel to sin.

在那些日子，耶和華才割裂以色列國，使哈薛攻擊以色列的境界，

zài nà xiē rì zǐ ， yē hé huá cái gē liè yǐ sè liè guó ， shǐ hā xuē gōng jī yǐ sè liè de jìng jiè ，

In those days the LORD began to cut away parts of Israel; and Hazael struck them in all the borders of Israel

乃是約旦河東、基列全地，從靠近亞嫩谷邊的亞羅珥起，就是基列和巴珊的迦得人、呂便人、瑪拿西人之地。

nǎi shì yuē dàn hé dōng 、 jī liè quán dì ， cóng kào jìn yà nèn gǔ biān de yà luó ěr qǐ ， jiù shì jī liè hé bā shān de jiā dé rén 、 lǚ biàn rén 、 mǎ ná xī rén zhī dì 。

from the Jordan eastward, all the land of Gilead, the Gadites, and the Reubenites, and the Manassites, from Aroer, which is by the valley of the Arnon, even Gilead and Bashan.

耶戶其餘的事，凡他所行的和他的勇力都寫在以色列諸王記上。

yē hù qí yú de shì ， fán tā suǒ xíng de hé tā de yǒng lì dōu xiě zài yǐ sè liè zhū wáng jì shàng 。

Now the rest of the acts of Jehu, and all that he did, and all his might, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

耶戶與他列祖同睡，葬在撒馬利亞；他兒子約哈斯接續他作王。

yē hù yǔ tā liè zǔ tóng shuì ， zàng zài sā mǎ lì yà ； tā ér zi yuē hā sī jiē xù tā zuò wáng 。

Jehu slept with his fathers; and they buried him in Samaria. Jehoahaz his son reigned in his place.

耶戶在撒馬利亞作以色列王二十八年。

yē hù zài sā mǎ lì yà zuò yǐ sè liè wáng èr shí bā nián 。

The time that Jehu reigned over Israel in Samaria was twenty-eight years.
