創世記 37

雅各住在迦南地，就是他父親寄居的地。

yǎ gè zhù zài jiā nán dì ， jiù shì tā fù qīn jì jū de dì 。

Jacob lived in the land of his father’s travels, in the land of Canaan.

雅各的記略如下。 約瑟十七歲與他哥哥們一同牧羊。他是個童子，與他父親的妾辟拉、悉帕的兒子們常在一處。約瑟將他哥哥們的惡行報給他們的父親。

yǎ gè de jì lüè rú xià 。 yuē sè shí qī suì yǔ tā gē ge men yì tóng mù yáng 。 tā shì gè tóng zǐ ， yǔ tā fù qīn de qiè pì lā 、 xī pà de ér zǐ men cháng zài yí chù 。 yuē sè jiāng tā gē ge men de è xíng bào gěi tā men de fù qīn 。

This is the history of the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brothers. He was a boy with the sons of Bilhah and Zilpah, his father’s wives. Joseph brought an evil report of them to their father.

以色列原來愛約瑟過於愛他的眾子，因為約瑟是他年老生的；他給約瑟做了一件彩衣。

yǐ sè liè yuán lái ài yuē sè guò yú ài tā de zhòng zǐ ， yīn wèi yuē sè shì tā nián lǎo shēng de ； tā gěi yuē sè zuò le yí jiàn cǎi yī 。

Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age, and he made him a tunic of many colors.

約瑟的哥哥們見父親愛約瑟過於愛他們，就恨約瑟，不與他說和睦的話。

yuē sè de gē ge men jiàn fù qīn ài yuē sè guò yú ài tā men ， jiù hèn yuē sè ， bù yǔ tā shuō hé mù de huà 。

His brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, and they hated him, and couldn’t speak peaceably to him.

約瑟做了一夢，告訴他哥哥們，他們就越發恨他。

yuē sè zuò le yí mèng ， gào sù tā gē ge men ， tā men jiù yuè fā hèn tā 。

Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it to his brothers, and they hated him all the more.

約瑟對他們說：「請聽我所做的夢：

yuē sè duì tā men shuō ：「 qǐng tīng wǒ suǒ zuò de mèng ：

He said to them, “Please hear this dream which I have dreamed:

我們在田裏捆禾稼，我的捆起來站着，你們的捆來圍着我的捆下拜。」

wǒ men zài tián lǐ kǔn hé jià ， wǒ de kǔn qǐ lái zhàn zhe ， nǐ men de kǔn lái wéi zhe wǒ de kǔn xià bài 。」

for behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and behold, my sheaf arose and also stood upright; and behold, your sheaves came around, and bowed down to my sheaf.”

他的哥哥們回答說：「難道你真要作我們的王嗎？難道你真要管轄我們嗎？」他們就因為他的夢和他的話越發恨他。

tā de gē gē men huí dá shuō ：「 nán dào nǐ zhēn yào zuò wǒ men de wáng ma ？ nán dào nǐ zhēn yào guǎn xiá wǒ men ma ？」 tā men jiù yīn wèi tā de mèng hé tā de huà yuè fā hèn tā 。

His brothers asked him, “Will you indeed reign over us? Will you indeed have dominion over us?” They hated him all the more for his dreams and for his words.

後來他又做了一夢，也告訴他的哥哥們說：「看哪，我又做了一夢，夢見太陽、月亮，與十一個星向我下拜。」

hòu lái tā yòu zuò le yí mèng ， yě gào sù tā de gē ge men shuō ：「 kàn nǎ ， wǒ yòu zuò le yí mèng ， mèng jiàn tài yáng 、 yuè liàng ， yǔ shí yī gè xīng xiàng wǒ xià bài 。」

He dreamed yet another dream, and told it to his brothers, and said, “Behold, I have dreamed yet another dream: and behold, the sun and the moon and eleven stars bowed down to me.”

約瑟將這夢告訴他父親和他哥哥們，他父親就責備他說：「你做的這是甚麼夢！難道我和你母親、你弟兄果然要來俯伏在地，向你下拜嗎？」

yuē sè jiāng zhè mèng gào sù tā fù qīn hé tā gē gē men ， tā fù qīn jiù zé bèi tā shuō ：「 nǐ zuò de zhè shì shén me mèng ！ nán dào wǒ hé nǐ mǔ qīn 、 nǐ dì xiong guǒ rán yào lái fǔ fú zài dì ， xiàng nǐ xià bài ma ？」

He told it to his father and to his brothers. His father rebuked him, and said to him, “What is this dream that you have dreamed? Will I and your mother and your brothers indeed come to bow ourselves down to the earth before you?”

他哥哥們都嫉妒他，他父親卻把這話存在心裏。

tā gē ge men dōu jí dù tā ， tā fù qīn què bǎ zhè huà cún zài xīn lǐ 。

His brothers envied him, but his father kept this saying in mind.

約瑟的哥哥們往示劍去放他們父親的羊。

yuē sè de gē ge men wǎng shì jiàn qù fàng tā men fù qīn de yáng 。

His brothers went to feed their father’s flock in Shechem.

以色列對約瑟說：「你哥哥們不是在示劍放羊嗎？你來，我要打發你往他們那裏去。」約瑟說：「我在這裏。」

yǐ sè liè duì yuē sè shuō ：「 nǐ gē ge men bú shì zài shì jiàn fàng yáng ma ？ nǐ lái ， wǒ yào dǎ fā nǐ wǎng tā men nà lǐ qù 。」 yuē sè shuō ：「 wǒ zài zhè lǐ 。」

Israel said to Joseph, “Aren’t your brothers feeding the flock in Shechem? Come, and I will send you to them.” He said to him, “Here I am.”

以色列說：「你去看看你哥哥們平安不平安，群羊平安不平安，就回來報信給我」；於是打發他出希伯崙谷，他就往示劍去了。

yǐ sè liè shuō ：「 nǐ qù kàn kàn nǐ gē ge men píng ān bù píng ān ， qún yáng píng ān bù píng ān ， jiù huí lái bào xìn gěi wǒ 」； yú shì dǎ fā tā chū xī bó gǔ ， tā jiù wǎng shì jiàn qù le 。

He said to him, “Go now, see whether it is well with your brothers, and well with the flock; and bring me word again.” So he sent him out of the valley of Hebron, and he came to Shechem.

有人遇見他在田野走迷了路，就問他說：「你找甚麼？」

yǒu rén yù jiàn tā zài tián yě zǒu mí le lù ， jiù wèn tā shuō ：「 nǐ zhǎo shén me ？」

A certain man found him, and behold, he was wandering in the field. The man asked him, “What are you looking for?”

他說：「我找我的哥哥們，求你告訴我，他們在何處放羊。」

tā shuō ：「 wǒ zhǎo wǒ de gē ge men ， qiú nǐ gào sù wǒ ， tā men zài hé chù fàng yáng 。」

He said, “I am looking for my brothers. Tell me, please, where they are feeding the flock.”

那人說：「他們已經走了，我聽見他們說要往多坍去。」約瑟就去追趕他哥哥們，遇見他們在多坍。

nà rén shuō ：「 tā men yǐ jīng zǒu le ， wǒ tīng jiàn tā men shuō yào wǎng duō tān qù 。」 yuē sè jiù qù zhuī gǎn tā gē ge men ， yù jiàn tā men zài duō tān 。

The man said, “They have left here, for I heard them say, ‘Let’s go to Dothan.’” Joseph went after his brothers, and found them in Dothan.

他們遠遠地看見他，趁他還沒有走到跟前，大家就同謀要害死他，

tā men yuǎn yuǎn dì kàn jiàn tā ， chèn tā hái méi yǒu zǒu dào gēn qián ， dà jiā jiù tóng móu yào hài sǐ tā ，

They saw him afar off, and before he came near to them, they conspired against him to kill him.

彼此說：「你看！那做夢的來了。

bǐ cǐ shuō ：「 nǐ kàn ！ nà zuò mèng de lái le 。

They said to one another, “Behold, this dreamer comes.

來吧！我們將他殺了，丟在一個坑裏，就說有惡獸把他吃了。我們且看他的夢將來怎麼樣。」

lái ba ！ wǒ men jiāng tā shā le ， diū zài yí gè kēng lǐ ， jiù shuō yǒu è shòu bǎ tā chī le 。 wǒ men qiě kàn tā de mèng jiāng lái zěn me yàng 。」

Come now therefore, and let’s kill him, and cast him into one of the pits, and we will say, ‘An evil animal has devoured him.’ We will see what will become of his dreams.”

呂便聽見了，要救他脫離他們的手，說：「我們不可害他的性命」；

lǚ biàn tīng jiàn le ， yào jiù tā tuō lí tā men de shǒu ， shuō ：「 wǒ men bù kě hài tā de xìng mìng 」；

Reuben heard it, and delivered him out of their hand, and said, “Let’s not take his life.”

又說：「不可流他的血，可以把他丟在這野地的坑裏，不可下手害他。」呂便的意思是要救他脫離他們的手，把他歸還他的父親。

yòu shuō ：「 bù kě liú tā de xuè ， kě yǐ bǎ tā diū zài zhè yě dì de kēng lǐ ， bù kě xià shǒu hài tā 。」 lǚ biàn de yì sī shì yào jiù tā tuō lí tā men de shǒu ， bǎ tā guī huán tā de fù qīn 。

Reuben said to them, “Shed no blood. Throw him into this pit that is in the wilderness, but lay no hand on him”—that he might deliver him out of their hand, to restore him to his father.

約瑟到了他哥哥們那裏，他們就剝了他的外衣，就是他穿的那件彩衣，

yuē sè dào le tā gē gē men nà lǐ ， tā men jiù bāo le tā de wài yī ， jiù shì tā chuān de nà jiàn cǎi yī ，

When Joseph came to his brothers, they stripped Joseph of his tunic, the tunic of many colors that was on him;

把他丟在坑裏；那坑是空的，裏頭沒有水。

bǎ tā diū zài kēng lǐ ； nà kēng shì kōng de ， lǐ tou méi yǒu shuǐ 。

and they took him, and threw him into the pit. The pit was empty. There was no water in it.

他們坐下吃飯，舉目觀看，見有一夥米甸 的以實瑪利人從基列來，用駱駝馱着香料、乳香、沒藥，要帶下埃及去。

tā men zuò xià chī fàn ， jǔ mù guān kàn ， jiàn yǒu yì huǒ mǐ diàn de yǐ shí mǎ lì rén cóng jī liè lái ， yòng luò tuó tuó zhe xiāng liào 、 rǔ xiāng 、 mò yào ， yào dài xià āi jí qù 。

They sat down to eat bread, and they lifted up their eyes and looked, and saw a caravan of Ishmaelites coming from Gilead, with their camels bearing spices and balm and myrrh, going to carry it down to Egypt.

猶大對眾弟兄說：「我們殺我們的兄弟，藏了他的血有甚麼益處呢？

yóu dà duì zhòng dì xiōng shuō ：「 wǒ men shā wǒ men de xiōng dì ， cáng le tā de xuè yǒu shén me yì chù ne ？

Judah said to his brothers, “What profit is it if we kill our brother and conceal his blood?

我們不如將他賣給以實瑪利人，不可下手害他；因為他是我們的兄弟，我們的骨肉。」眾弟兄就聽從了他。

wǒ men bù rú jiāng tā mài gěi yǐ shí mǎ lì rén ， bù kě xià shǒu hài tā ； yīn wèi tā shì wǒ men de xiōng dì ， wǒ men de gǔ ròu 。」 zhòng dì xiong jiù tīng cóng le tā 。

Come, and let’s sell him to the Ishmaelites, and not let our hand be on him; for he is our brother, our flesh.” His brothers listened to him.

有些米甸的商人從那裏經過，哥哥們就把約瑟從坑裏拉上來，講定二十舍客勒銀子，把約瑟賣給以實瑪利人。他們就把約瑟帶到埃及去了。

yǒu xiē mǐ diàn de shāng rén cóng nà lǐ jīng guò ， gē ge men jiù bǎ yuē sè cóng kēng lǐ lā shàng lái ， jiǎng dìng èr shí shè kè lè yín zi ， bǎ yuē sè mài gěi yǐ shí mǎ lì rén 。 tā men jiù bǎ yuē sè dài dào āi jí qù le 。

Midianites who were merchants passed by, and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmaelites for twenty pieces of silver. The merchants brought Joseph into Egypt.

呂便回到坑邊，見約瑟不在坑裏，就撕裂衣服，

lǚ biàn huí dào kēng biān ， jiàn yuē sè bú zài kēng lǐ ， jiù sī liè yī fu ，

Reuben returned to the pit, and saw that Joseph wasn’t in the pit; and he tore his clothes.

回到兄弟們那裏，說：「童子沒有了。我往哪裏去才好呢？」

huí dào xiōng dì men nà lǐ ， shuō ：「 tóng zǐ méi yǒu le 。 wǒ wǎng nǎ lǐ qù cái hǎo ne ？」

He returned to his brothers, and said, “The child is no more; and I, where will I go?”

他們宰了一隻公山羊，把約瑟的那件彩衣染了血，

tā men zǎi le yì zhī gōng shān yáng ， bǎ yuē sè de nà jiàn cǎi yī rǎn le xuè ，

They took Joseph’s tunic, and killed a male goat, and dipped the tunic in the blood.

打發人送到他們的父親那裏，說：「我們撿了這個；請認一認是你兒子的外衣不是？」

dǎ fā rén sòng dào tā men de fù qīn nà lǐ ， shuō ：「 wǒ men jiǎn le zhè ge ； qǐng rèn yi rèn shì nǐ ér zi de wài yī bú shì ？」

They took the tunic of many colors, and they brought it to their father, and said, “We have found this. Examine it, now, and see if it is your son’s tunic or not.”

他認得，就說：「這是我兒子的外衣。有惡獸把他吃了，約瑟被撕碎了！撕碎了！」

tā rèn de ， jiù shuō ：「 zhè shì wǒ ér zǐ de wài yī 。 yǒu è shòu bǎ tā chī le ， yuē sè bèi sī suì le ！ sī suì le ！」

He recognized it, and said, “It is my son’s tunic. An evil animal has devoured him. Joseph is without doubt torn in pieces.”

雅各便撕裂衣服，腰間圍上麻布，為他兒子悲哀了多日。

yǎ gè biàn sī liè yī fu ， yāo jiān wéi shàng má bù ， wèi tā ér zi bēi āi le duō rì 。

Jacob tore his clothes, and put sackcloth on his waist, and mourned for his son many days.

他的兒女都起來安慰他，他卻不肯受安慰，說：「我必悲哀着下陰間，到我兒子那裏。」約瑟的父親就為他哀哭。

tā de ér nǚ dōu qǐ lái ān wèi tā ， tā què bù kěn shòu ān wèi ， shuō ：「 wǒ bì bēi āi zhe xià yīn jiān ， dào wǒ ér zi nà lǐ 。」 yuē sè de fù qīn jiù wèi tā āi kū 。

All his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him, but he refused to be comforted. He said, “For I will go down to Sheol to my son, mourning.” His father wept for him.

米甸人帶約瑟到埃及，把他賣給法老的內臣－護衛長波提乏。

mǐ diàn rén dài yuē sè dào āi jí ， bǎ tā mài gěi fǎ lǎo de nèi chén — hù wèi cháng bō tí fá 。

The Midianites sold him into Egypt to Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh’s, the captain of the guard.
