創世記 38

那時，猶大離開他弟兄下去，到一個亞杜蘭人名叫希拉的家裏去。

nà shí ， yóu dà lí kāi tā dì xiong xià qù ， dào yí gè yà dù lán rén míng jiào xī lā de jiā lǐ qù 。

At that time, Judah went down from his brothers, and visited a certain Adullamite, whose name was Hirah.

猶大在那裏看見一個迦南人名叫書亞的女兒，就娶她為妻，與她同房，

yóu dà zài nà lǐ kàn jiàn yí gè jiā nán rén míng jiào shū yà de nǚ ér ， jiù qǔ tā wèi qī ， yǔ tā tóng fáng ，

There, Judah saw the daughter of a certain Canaanite man named Shua. He took her, and went in to her.

她就懷孕生了兒子，猶大給他起名叫珥。

tā jiù huái yùn shēng le ér zi ， yóu dà gěi tā qǐ míng jiào ěr 。

She conceived, and bore a son; and he named him Er.

她又懷孕生了兒子，母親給他起名叫俄南。

tā yòu huái yùn shēng le ér zi ， mǔ qīn gěi tā qǐ míng jiào é nán 。

She conceived again, and bore a son; and she named him Onan.

她復又生了兒子，給他起名叫示拉。她生示拉的時候，猶大正在基悉。

tā fù yòu shēng le ér zǐ ， gěi tā qǐ míng jiào shì lā 。 tā shēng shì lā de shí hòu ， yóu dà zhèng zài jī xī 。

She yet again bore a son, and named him Shelah. He was at Chezib when she bore him.

猶大為長子珥娶妻，名叫她瑪。

yóu dà wèi zhǎng zǐ ěr qǔ qī ， míng jiào tā mǎ 。

Judah took a wife for Er, his firstborn, and her name was Tamar.

猶大的長子珥在耶和華眼中看為惡，耶和華就叫他死了。

yóu dà de zhǎng zǐ ěr zài yē hé huá yǎn zhōng kàn wèi è ， yē hé huá jiù jiào tā sǐ le 。

Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the LORD’s sight. So the LORD killed him.

猶大對俄南說：「你當與你哥哥的妻子同房，向她盡你為弟的本分，為你哥哥生子立後。」

yóu dà duì é nán shuō ：「 nǐ dāng yǔ nǐ gē gē de qī zǐ tóng fáng ， xiàng tā jìn nǐ wèi dì de běn fèn ， wèi nǐ gē ge shēng zǐ lì hòu 。」

Judah said to Onan, “Go in to your brother’s wife, and perform the duty of a husband’s brother to her, and raise up offspring for your brother.”

俄南知道生子不歸自己，所以同房的時候便遺在地，免得給他哥哥留後。

é nán zhī dào shēng zǐ bù guī zì jǐ ， suǒ yǐ tóng fáng de shí hòu biàn yí zài dì ， miǎn de gěi tā gē ge liú hòu 。

Onan knew that the offspring wouldn’t be his; and when he went in to his brother’s wife, he spilled his semen on the ground, lest he should give offspring to his brother.

俄南所做的在耶和華眼中看為惡，耶和華也就叫他死了。

é nán suǒ zuò de zài yē hé huá yǎn zhōng kàn wèi è ， yē hé huá yě jiù jiào tā sǐ le 。

The thing which he did was evil in the LORD’s sight, and he killed him also.

猶大心裏說：「恐怕示拉也死，像他兩個哥哥一樣」，就對他兒婦她瑪說：「你去，在你父親家裏守寡，等我兒子示拉長大。」她瑪就回去，住在她父親家裏。

yóu dà xīn lǐ shuō ：「 kǒng pà shì lā yě sǐ ， xiàng tā liǎng gè gē gē yí yàng 」， jiù duì tā ér fù tā mǎ shuō ：「 nǐ qù ， zài nǐ fù qīn jiā lǐ shǒu guǎ ， děng wǒ ér zi shì lā zhǎng dà 。」 tā mǎ jiù huí qù ， zhù zài tā fù qìng jia lǐ 。

Then Judah said to Tamar, his daughter-in-law, “Remain a widow in your father’s house, until Shelah, my son, is grown up;” for he said, “Lest he also die, like his brothers.” Tamar went and lived in her father’s house.

過了許久，猶大的妻子書亞的女兒死了。猶大得了安慰，就和他朋友亞杜蘭人希拉上亭拿去，到他剪羊毛的人那裏。

guò le xǔ jiǔ ， yóu dà de qī zǐ shū yà de nǚ ér sǐ le 。 yóu dà dé le ān wèi ， jiù hé tā péng yǒu yà dù lán rén xī lā shàng tíng ná qù ， dào tā jiǎn yáng máo de rén nà lǐ 。

After many days, Shua’s daughter, the wife of Judah, died. Judah was comforted, and went up to his sheep shearers to Timnah, he and his friend Hirah, the Adullamite.

有人告訴她瑪說：「你的公公上亭拿剪羊毛去了。」

yǒu rén gào sù tā mǎ shuō ：「 nǐ de gōng gong shàng tíng ná jiǎn yáng máo qù le 。」

Tamar was told, “Behold, your father-in-law is going up to Timnah to shear his sheep.”

她瑪見示拉已經長大，還沒有娶她為妻，就脫了她作寡婦的衣裳，用帕子蒙着臉，又遮住身體，坐在亭拿路上的伊拿印城門口。

tā mǎ jiàn shì lā yǐ jīng cháng dà ， hái méi yǒu qǔ tā wèi qī ， jiù tuō le tā zuò guǎ fù de yī shang ， yòng pà zǐ méng zhe liǎn ， yòu zhē zhù shēn tǐ ， zuò zài tíng ná lù shang de yī ná yìn chéng mén kǒu 。

She took off the garments of her widowhood, and covered herself with her veil, and wrapped herself, and sat in the gate of Enaim, which is on the way to Timnah; for she saw that Shelah was grown up, and she wasn’t given to him as a wife.

猶大看見她，以為是妓女，因為她蒙着臉。

yóu dà kàn jiàn tā ， yǐ wéi shì jì nǚ ， yīn wèi tā méng zhe liǎn 。

When Judah saw her, he thought that she was a prostitute, for she had covered her face.

猶大就轉到她那裏去，說：「來吧！讓我與你同寢。」他原不知道是他的兒婦。她瑪說：「你要與我同寢，把甚麼給我呢？」

yóu dà jiù zhuǎn dào tā nà lǐ qù ， shuō ：「 lái ba ！ ràng wǒ yǔ nǐ tóng qǐn 。」 tā yuán bù zhī dào shì tā de ér fù 。 tā mǎ shuō ：「 nǐ yào yǔ wǒ tóng qǐn ， bǎ shén me gěi wǒ ne ？」

He turned to her by the way, and said, “Please come, let me come in to you,” for he didn’t know that she was his daughter-in-law. She said, “What will you give me, that you may come in to me?”

猶大說：「我從羊群裏取一隻山羊羔，打發人送來給你。」她瑪說：「在未送以先，你願意給我一個當頭嗎？」

yóu dà shuō ：「 wǒ cóng yáng qún lǐ qǔ yì zhī shān yáng gāo ， dǎ fā rén sòng lái gěi nǐ 。」 tā mǎ shuō ：「 zài wèi sòng yǐ xiān ， nǐ yuàn yì gěi wǒ yí gè dāng tóu ma ？」

He said, “I will send you a young goat from the flock.” She said, “Will you give me a pledge, until you send it?”

他說：「我給你甚麼當頭呢？」她瑪說：「你的印、你的帶子，和你手裏的杖。」猶大就給了她，與她同寢，她就從猶大懷了孕。

tā shuō ：「 wǒ gěi nǐ shén me dāng tóu ne ？」 tā mǎ shuō ：「 nǐ de yìn 、 nǐ de dài zǐ ， hé nǐ shǒu lǐ de zhàng 。」 yóu dà jiù gěi le tā ， yǔ tā tóng qǐn ， tā jiù cóng yóu dà huái le yùn 。

He said, “What pledge will I give you?” She said, “Your signet and your cord, and your staff that is in your hand.” He gave them to her, and came in to her, and she conceived by him.

她瑪起來走了，除去帕子，仍舊穿上作寡婦的衣裳。

tā mǎ qǐ lái zǒu le ， chú qù pà zǐ ， réng jiù chuān shàng zuò guǎ fù de yī shang 。

She arose, and went away, and put off her veil from her, and put on the garments of her widowhood.

猶大託他朋友亞杜蘭人送一隻山羊羔去，要從那女人手裏取回當頭來，卻找不着她，

yóu dà tuō tā péng yǒu yà dù lán rén sòng yì zhī shān yáng gāo qù ， yào cóng nà nǚ rén shǒu lǐ qǔ huí dāng tóu lái ， què zhǎo bù zhe tā ，

Judah sent the young goat by the hand of his friend, the Adullamite, to receive the pledge from the woman’s hand, but he didn’t find her.

就問那地方的人說：「伊拿印路旁的妓女在哪裏？」他們說：「這裏並沒有妓女。」

jiù wèn nà dì fāng de rén shuō ：「 yī ná yìn lù páng de jì nǚ zài nǎ lǐ ？」 tā men shuō ：「 zhè lǐ bìng méi yǒu jì nǚ 。」

Then he asked the men of her place, saying, “Where is the prostitute, that was at Enaim by the road?” They said, “There has been no prostitute here.”

他回去見猶大說：「我沒有找着她，並且那地方的人說：『這裏沒有妓女。』」

tā huí qù jiàn yóu dà shuō ：「 wǒ méi yǒu zhǎo zhe tā ， bìng qiě nà dì fāng de rén shuō ：『 zhè lǐ méi yǒu jì nǚ 。』」

He returned to Judah, and said, “I haven’t found her; and also the men of the place said, ‘There has been no prostitute here.’”

猶大說：「我把這山羊羔送去了，你竟找不着她。任憑她拿去吧，免得我們被羞辱。」

yóu dà shuō ：「 wǒ bǎ zhè shān yáng gāo sòng qù le ， nǐ jìng zhǎo bù zhe tā 。 rèn píng tā ná qù ba ， miǎn de wǒ men bèi xiū rǔ 。」

Judah said, “Let her keep it, lest we be shamed. Behold, I sent this young goat, and you haven’t found her.”

約過了三個月，有人告訴猶大說：「你的兒婦她瑪作了妓女，且因行淫有了身孕。」猶大說：「拉出她來，把她燒了！」

yuē guò le sān gè yuè ， yǒu rén gào sù yóu dà shuō ：「 nǐ de ér fù tā mǎ zuò le jì nǚ ， qiě yīn xíng yín yǒu le shēn yùn 。」 yóu dà shuō ：「 lā chū tā lái ， bǎ tā shāo le ！」

About three months later, Judah was told, “Tamar, your daughter-in-law, has played the prostitute. Moreover, behold, she is with child by prostitution.” Judah said, “Bring her out, and let her be burned.”

她瑪被拉出來的時候便打發人去見她公公，對他說：「這些東西是誰的，我就是從誰懷的孕。請你認一認，這印和帶子並杖都是誰的？」

tā mǎ bèi lā chū lái de shí hòu biàn dǎ fā rén qù jiàn tā gōng gong ， duì tā shuō ：「 zhè xiē dōng xī shì shuí de ， wǒ jiù shì cóng shuí huái de yùn 。 qǐng nǐ rèn yi rèn ， zhè yìn hé dài zǐ bìng zhàng dōu shì shuí de ？」

When she was brought out, she sent to her father-in-law, saying, “I am with child by the man who owns these.” She also said, “Please discern whose these are—the signet, and the cords, and the staff.”

猶大承認說：「她比我更有義，因為我沒有將她給我的兒子示拉。」從此猶大不再與她同寢了。

yóu dà chéng rèn shuō ：「 tā bǐ wǒ gèng yǒu yì ， yīn wèi wǒ méi yǒu jiāng tā gěi wǒ de ér zi shì lā 。」 cóng cǐ yóu dà bú zài yǔ tā tóng qǐn le 。

Judah acknowledged them, and said, “She is more righteous than I, because I didn’t give her to Shelah, my son.” He knew her again no more.

她瑪將要生產，不料她腹裏是一對雙生。

tā mǎ jiāng yào shēng chǎn ， bú liào tā fù lǐ shì yí duì shuāng shēng 。

In the time of her travail, behold, twins were in her womb.

到生產的時候，一個孩子伸出一隻手來；收生婆拿紅線拴在他手上，說：「這是頭生的。」

dào shēng chǎn de shí hòu ， yí gè hái zi shēn chū yì zhī shǒu lái ； shōu shēng pó ná hóng xiàn shuān zài tā shǒu shàng ， shuō ：「 zhè shì tóu shēng de 。」

When she travailed, one put out a hand, and the midwife took and tied a scarlet thread on his hand, saying, “This came out first.”

隨後這孩子把手收回去，他哥哥生出來了；收生婆說：「你為甚麼搶着來呢？」因此給他起名叫法勒斯。

suí hòu zhè hái zi bǎ shǒu shōu huí qù ， tā gē ge shēng chū lái le ； shōu shēng pó shuō ：「 nǐ wèi shén me qiǎng zhe lái ne ？」 yīn cǐ gěi tā qǐ míng jiào fǎ lè sī 。

As he drew back his hand, behold, his brother came out, and she said, “Why have you made a breach for yourself?” Therefore his name was called Perez.

後來，他兄弟那手上有紅線的也生出來，就給他起名叫謝拉。

hòu lái ， tā xiōng dì nà shǒu shàng yǒu hóng xiàn de yě shēng chū lái ， jiù gěi tā qǐ míng jiào xiè lā 。

Afterward his brother came out, who had the scarlet thread on his hand, and his name was called Zerah.
