雅各書 2

我的弟兄們，你們信奉我們榮耀的主耶穌基督，便不可按着外貌待人。

wǒ de dì xiong men ， nǐ men xìn fèng wǒ men róng yào de zhǔ yē sū jī dū ， biàn bù kě àn zhe wài mào dài rén 。

My brothers, don’t hold the faith of our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with partiality.

若有一個人帶着金戒指，穿着華美衣服，進你們的會堂去；又有一個窮人穿着骯髒衣服也進去；

ruò yǒu yí gè rén dài zhe jīn jiè zhǐ ， chuān zhe huá měi yī fú ， jìn nǐ men de huì táng qù ； yòu yǒu yí gè qióng rén chuān zhe āng zāng yī fu yě jìn qù ；

For if a man with a gold ring, in fine clothing, comes into your synagogue, and a poor man in filthy clothing also comes in,

你們就重看那穿華美衣服的人，說：「請坐在這好位上」；又對那窮人說：「你站在那裏」，或「坐在我腳凳下邊。」

nǐ men jiù zhòng kàn nà chuān huá měi yī fu de rén ， shuō ：「 qǐng zuò zài zhè hǎo wèi shàng 」； yòu duì nà qióng rén shuō ：「 nǐ zhàn zài nà lǐ 」， huò 「 zuò zài wǒ jiǎo dèng xià biān 。」

and you pay special attention to him who wears the fine clothing and say, “Sit here in a good place;” and you tell the poor man, “Stand there,” or “Sit by my footstool”

這豈不是你們偏心待人，用惡意斷定人嗎？

zhè qǐ bú shì nǐ men piān xīn dài rén ， yòng è yì duàn dìng rén ma ？

haven’t you shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?

我親愛的弟兄們，請聽，上帝豈不是揀選了世上的貧窮人，叫他們在信上富足，並承受他所應許給那些愛他之人的國嗎？

wǒ qīn ài de dì xiōng men ， qǐng tīng ， shén qǐ bú shì jiǎn xuǎn le shì shàng de pín qióng rén ， jiào tā men zài xìn shàng fù zú ， bìng chéng shòu tā suǒ yīng xǔ gěi nà xiē ài tā zhī rén de guó ma ？

Listen, my beloved brothers. Didn’t God choose those who are poor in this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the Kingdom which he promised to those who love him?

你們反倒羞辱貧窮人。那富足人豈不是欺壓你們、拉你們到公堂去嗎？

nǐ men fǎn dǎo xiū rǔ pín qióng rén 。 nà fù zú rén qǐ bú shì qī yā nǐ men 、 lā nǐ men dào gōng táng qù ma ？

But you have dishonored the poor man. Don’t the rich oppress you and personally drag you before the courts?

他們不是褻瀆你們所敬奉 的尊名嗎？

tā men bú shì xiè dú nǐ men suǒ jìng fèng de zūn míng ma ？

Don’t they blaspheme the honorable name by which you are called?

經上記着說：「要愛人如己。」你們若全守這至尊的律法才是好的。

jīng shàng jì zhe shuō ：「 yào ài rén rú jǐ 。」 nǐ men ruò quán shǒu zhè zhì zūn de lǜ fǎ cái shì hǎo de 。

However, if you fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well.

但你們若按外貌待人，便是犯罪，被律法定為犯法的。

dàn nǐ men ruò àn wài mào dài rén ， biàn shì fàn zuì ， bèi lǜ fǎ dìng wèi fàn fǎ de 。

But if you show partiality, you commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors.

因為凡遵守全律法的，只在一條上跌倒，他就是犯了眾條。

yīn wèi fán zūn shǒu quán lǜ fǎ de ， zhī zài yì tiáo shàng diē dǎo ， tā jiù shì fàn le zhòng tiáo 。

For whoever keeps the whole law, and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.

原來那說「不可姦淫」的，也說「不可殺人」；你就是不姦淫，卻殺人，仍是成了犯律法的。

yuán lái nà shuō 「 bù kě jiān yín 」 de ， yě shuō 「 bù kě shā rén 」； nǐ jiù shì bù jiān yín ， què shā rén ， réng shì chéng le fàn lǜ fǎ de 。

For he who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not commit murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery but do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.

你們既然要按使人自由的律法受審判，就該照這律法說話行事。

nǐ men jì rán yào àn shǐ rén zì yóu de lǜ fǎ shòu shěn pàn ， jiù gāi zhào zhè lǜ fǎ shuō huà xíng shì 。

So speak and so do as men who are to be judged by the law of freedom.

因為那不憐憫人的，也要受無憐憫的審判；憐憫原是向審判誇勝。

yīn wèi nà bù lián mǐn rén de ， yě yào shòu wú lián mǐn de shěn pàn ； lián mǐn yuán shì xiàng shěn pàn kuā shèng 。

For judgment is without mercy to him who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

我的弟兄們，若有人說自己有信心，卻沒有行為，有甚麼益處呢？這信心能救他嗎？

wǒ de dì xiong men ， ruò yǒu rén shuō zì jǐ yǒu xìn xīn ， què méi yǒu xíng wéi ， yǒu shén me yì chù ne ？ zhè xìn xīn néng jiù tā ma ？

What good is it, my brothers, if a man says he has faith, but has no works? Can faith save him?

若是弟兄或是姊妹，赤身露體，又缺了日用的飲食；

ruò shì dì xiong huò shì zǐ mèi ， chì shēn lù tǐ ， yòu quē le rì yòng de yǐn shí ；

And if a brother or sister is naked and in lack of daily food,

你們中間有人對他們說：「平平安安地去吧！願你們穿得暖，吃得飽」，卻不給他們身體所需用的，這有甚麼益處呢？

nǐ men zhōng jiān yǒu rén duì tā men shuō ：「 píng píng ān ān dì qù ba ！ yuàn nǐ men chuān dé nuǎn ， chī dé bǎo 」， què bù gěi tā men shēn tǐ suǒ xū yòng de ， zhè yǒu shén me yì chù ne ？

and one of you tells them, “Go in peace. Be warmed and filled;” yet you didn’t give them the things the body needs, what good is it?

這樣，信心若沒有行為就是死的。

zhè yàng ， xìn xīn ruò méi yǒu xíng wéi jiù shì sǐ de 。

Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself.

必有人說：「你有信心，我有行為；你將你沒有行為的信心指給我看，我便藉着我的行為，將我的信心指給你看。」

bì yǒu rén shuō ：「 nǐ yǒu xìn xīn ， wǒ yǒu xíng wéi ； nǐ jiāng nǐ méi yǒu xíng wéi de xìn xīn zhǐ gěi wǒ kàn ， wǒ biàn jiè zhe wǒ de xíng wéi ， jiāng wǒ de xìn xīn zhǐ gěi nǐ kàn 。」

Yes, a man will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

你信上帝只有一位，你信的不錯；鬼魔也信，卻是戰驚。

nǐ xìn shén zhǐ yǒu yí wèi ， nǐ xìn de bú cuò ； guǐ mó yě xìn ， què shì zhàn jīng 。

You believe that God is one. You do well. The demons also believe—and shudder.

虛浮的人哪，你願意知道沒有行為的信心是死的嗎？

xū fú de rén nǎ ， nǐ yuàn yì zhī dào méi yǒu xíng wéi de xìn xīn shì sǐ de ma ？

But do you want to know, vain man, that faith apart from works is dead?

我們的祖宗亞伯拉罕把他兒子以撒獻在壇上，豈不是因行為稱義嗎？

wǒ men de zǔ zōng yà bó lā hǎn bǎ tā ér zi yǐ sā xiàn zài tán shàng ， qǐ bú shì yīn xíng wéi chēng yì ma ？

Wasn’t Abraham our father justified by works, in that he offered up Isaac his son on the altar?

可見，信心是與他的行為並行，而且信心因着行為才得成全。

kě jiàn ， xìn xīn shì yǔ tā de xíng wéi bìng xíng ， ér qiě xìn xīn yīn zhe xíng wéi cái dé chéng quán 。

You see that faith worked with his works, and by works faith was perfected.

這就應驗經上所說：「亞伯拉罕信上帝，這就算為他的義。」他又得稱為上帝的朋友。

zhè jiù yìng yàn jīng shàng suǒ shuō ：「 yà bó lā hǎn xìn shén ， zhè jiù suàn wèi tā de yì 。」 tā yòu dé chēng wéi shén de péng yǒu 。

So the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him as righteousness,” and he was called the friend of God.

這樣看來，人稱義是因着行為，不是單因着信。

zhè yàng kàn lái ， rén chēng yì shì yīn zhe xíng wéi ， bú shì dān yīn zhe xìn 。

You see then that by works a man is justified, and not only by faith.

妓女喇合接待使者，又放他們從別的路上出去，不也是一樣因行為稱義嗎？

jì nǚ lā hé jiē dài shǐ zhě ， yòu fàng tā men cóng bié de lù shang chū qù ， bù yě shì yí yàng yīn xíng wéi chēng yì ma ？

In the same way, wasn’t Rahab the prostitute also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?

身體沒有靈魂是死的，信心沒有行為也是死的。

shēn tǐ méi yǒu líng hún shì sǐ de ， xìn xīn méi yǒu xíng wéi yě shì sǐ de 。

For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, even so faith apart from works is dead.
