約伯記 15
智慧人豈可用虛空的知識回答， 用東風充滿肚腹呢？
zhì huì rén qǐ kě yòng xū kōng de zhī shi huí dá ， yòng dōng fēng chōng mǎn dù fù ne ？
“Should a wise man answer with vain knowledge, and fill himself with the east wind?
他豈可用無益的話 和無濟於事的言語理論呢？
tā qǐ kě yòng wú yì de huà hé wú jì yú shì de yán yǔ lǐ lùn ne ？
Should he reason with unprofitable talk, or with speeches with which he can do no good?
你是廢棄敬畏的意， 在上帝面前阻止敬虔的心。
nǐ shì fèi qì jìng wèi de yì ， zài shén miàn qián zǔ zhǐ jìng qián de xīn 。
Yes, you do away with fear, and hinder devotion before God.
你的罪孽指教你的口； 你選用詭詐人的舌頭。
nǐ de zuì niè zhǐ jiào nǐ de kǒu ； nǐ xuǎn yòng guǐ zhà rén de shé tou 。
For your iniquity teaches your mouth, and you choose the language of the crafty.
你自己的口定你有罪，並非是我； 你自己的嘴見證你的不是。
nǐ zì jǐ de kǒu dìng nǐ yǒu zuì ， bìng fēi shì wǒ ； nǐ zì jǐ de zuǐ jiàn zhèng nǐ de bú shì 。
Your own mouth condemns you, and not I. Yes, your own lips testify against you.
你豈是頭一個被生的人嗎？ 你受造在諸山之先嗎？
nǐ qǐ shì tóu yí gè bèi shēng de rén ma ？ nǐ shòu zào zài zhū shān zhī xiān ma ？
“Are you the first man who was born? Or were you brought out before the hills?
你曾聽見上帝的密旨嗎？ 你還將智慧獨自得盡嗎？
nǐ céng tīng jiàn shén de mì zhǐ ma ？ nǐ hái jiāng zhì huì dú zì dé jìn ma ？
Have you heard the secret counsel of God? Do you limit wisdom to yourself?
你知道甚麼是我們不知道的呢？ 你明白甚麼是我們不明白的呢？
nǐ zhī dào shén me shì wǒ men bù zhī dào de ne ？ nǐ míng bái shén me shì wǒ men bù míng bái de ne ？
What do you know that we don’t know? What do you understand which is not in us?
我們這裏有白髮的和年紀老邁的， 比你父親還老。
wǒ men zhè lǐ yǒu bái fà de hé nián jì lǎo mài de ， bǐ nǐ fù qīn hái lǎo 。
With us are both the gray-headed and the very aged men, much older than your father.
上帝用溫和的話安慰你， 你以為太小嗎？
shén yòng wēn hé de huà ān wèi nǐ ， nǐ yǐ wéi tài xiǎo ma ？
Are the consolations of God too small for you, even the word that is gentle toward you?
你的心為何將你逼去？ 你的眼為何冒出火星，
nǐ de xīn wèi hé jiāng nǐ bī qù ？ nǐ de yǎn wèi hé mào chū huǒ xīng ，
Why does your heart carry you away? Why do your eyes flash,
使你的靈反對上帝， 也任你的口發這言語？
shǐ nǐ de líng fǎn duì shén ， yě rèn nǐ de kǒu fā zhè yán yǔ ？
that you turn your spirit against God, and let such words go out of your mouth?
人是甚麼，竟算為潔淨呢？ 婦人所生的是甚麼，竟算為義呢？
rén shì shén me ， jìng suàn wèi jié jìng ne ？ fù rén suǒ shēng de shì shén me ， jìng suàn wèi yì ne ？
What is man, that he should be clean? What is he who is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?
上帝不信靠他的眾聖者； 在他眼前，天也不潔淨，
shén bú xìn kào tā de zhòng shèng zhě ； zài tā yǎn qián ， tiān yě bù jié jìng ，
Behold, he puts no trust in his holy ones. Yes, the heavens are not clean in his sight;
何況那污穢可憎、 喝罪孽如水的世人呢！
hé kuàng nà wū huì kě zēng 、 hē zuì niè rú shuǐ de shì rén ne ！
how much less one who is abominable and corrupt, a man who drinks iniquity like water!
我指示你，你要聽； 我要述說所看見的，
wǒ zhǐ shì nǐ ， nǐ yào tīng ； wǒ yào shù shuō suǒ kàn jiàn de ，
“I will show you, listen to me; that which I have seen I will declare
就是智慧人從列祖所受， 傳說而不隱瞞的。 （
jiù shì zhì huì rén cóng liè zǔ suǒ shòu ， chuán shuō ér bù yǐn mán de 。
(which wise men have told by their fathers, and have not hidden it;
這地惟獨賜給他們， 並沒有外人從他們中間經過。）
zhè dì wéi dú cì gěi tā men ， bìng méi yǒu wài rén cóng tā men zhōng jiān jīng guò 。
to whom alone the land was given, and no stranger passed among them):
惡人一生之日劬勞痛苦； 強暴人一生的年數也是如此。
è rén yì shēng zhī rì qú láo tòng kǔ ； qiáng bào rén yì shēng de nián shù yě shì rú cǐ 。
the wicked man writhes in pain all his days, even the number of years that are laid up for the oppressor.
驚嚇的聲音常在他耳中； 在平安時，搶奪的必臨到他那裏。
jīng xià de shēng yīn cháng zài tā ěr zhōng ； zài píng ān shí ， qiǎng duó de bì lín dào tā nà lǐ 。
A sound of terrors is in his ears. In prosperity the destroyer will come on him.
他不信自己能從黑暗中轉回； 他被刀劍等候。
tā bú xìn zì jǐ néng cóng hēi àn zhōng zhuǎn huí ； tā bèi dāo jiàn děng hòu 。
He doesn’t believe that he will return out of darkness. He is waited for by the sword.
他漂流在外求食，說：哪裏有食物呢？ 他知道黑暗的日子在他手邊預備好了。
tā piāo liú zài wài qiú shí ， shuō ： nǎ lǐ yǒu shí wù ne ？ tā zhī dào hēi àn de rì zi zài tā shǒu biān yù bèi hǎo le 。
He wanders abroad for bread, saying, ‘Where is it?’ He knows that the day of darkness is ready at his hand.
急難困苦叫他害怕， 而且勝了他，好像君王預備上陣一樣。
jí nán kùn kǔ jiào tā hài pà ， ér qiě shèng le tā ， hǎo xiàng jūn wáng yù bèi shàng zhèn yí yàng 。
Distress and anguish make him afraid. They prevail against him, as a king ready to the battle.
他伸手攻擊上帝， 以驕傲攻擊全能者，
tā shēn shǒu gōng jī shén ， yǐ jiāo ào gōng jī quán néng zhě ，
Because he has stretched out his hand against God, and behaves himself proudly against the Almighty,
挺着頸項， 用盾牌的厚凸面向全能者直闖；
tǐng zhe jǐng xiàng ， yòng dùn pái de hòu tū miàn xiàng quán néng zhě zhí chuǎng ；
he runs at him with a stiff neck, with the thick shields of his bucklers,
是因他的臉蒙上脂油， 腰積成肥肉。
shì yīn tā de liǎn méng shàng zhī yóu ， yāo jī chéng féi ròu 。
because he has covered his face with his fatness, and gathered fat on his thighs.
他曾住在荒涼城邑， 無人居住、將成亂堆的房屋。
tā céng zhù zài huāng liáng chéng yì ， wú rén jū zhù 、 jiāng chéng luàn duī de fáng wū 。
He has lived in desolate cities, in houses which no one inhabited, which were ready to become heaps.
他不得富足，財物不得常存， 產業在地上也不加增。
tā bù dé fù zú ， cái wù bù dé cháng cún ， chǎn yè zài dì shàng yě bù jiā zēng 。
He will not be rich, neither will his substance continue, neither will their possessions be extended on the earth.
他不得出離黑暗。 火焰要將他的枝子燒乾； 因上帝口中的氣，他要滅亡 。
tā bù dé chū lí hēi àn 。 huǒ yàn yào jiāng tā de zhī zǐ shāo gān ； yīn shén kǒu zhōng de qì ， tā yào miè wáng 。
He will not depart out of darkness. The flame will dry up his branches. He will go away by the breath of God’s mouth.
他不用倚靠虛假欺哄自己， 因虛假必成為他的報應。
tā bú yòng yǐ kào xū jiǎ qī hǒng zì jǐ ， yīn xū jiǎ bì chéng wéi tā de bào yìng 。
Let him not trust in emptiness, deceiving himself, for emptiness will be his reward.
他的日期未到之先，這事必成就； 他的枝子不得青綠。
tā de rì qī wèi dào zhī xiān ， zhè shì bì chéng jiù ； tā de zhī zǐ bù dé qīng lǜ 。
It will be accomplished before his time. His branch will not be green.
他必像葡萄樹的葡萄，未熟而落； 又像橄欖樹的花，一開而謝。
tā bì xiàng pú táo shù de pú táo ， wèi shú ér luò ； yòu xiàng gǎn lǎn shù de huā ， yì kāi ér xiè 。
He will shake off his unripe grape as the vine, and will cast off his flower as the olive tree.
原來不敬虔之輩必無生育； 受賄賂之人的帳棚必被火燒。
yuán lái bú jìng qián zhī bèi bì wú shēng yù ； shòu huì lù zhī rén de zhàng péng bì bèi huǒ shāo 。
For the company of the godless will be barren, and fire will consume the tents of bribery.
他們所懷的是毒害，所生的是罪孽； 心裏所預備的是詭詐。
tā men suǒ huái de shì dú hài ， suǒ shēng de shì zuì niè ； xīn lǐ suǒ yù bèi de shì guǐ zhà 。
They conceive mischief and produce iniquity. Their heart prepares deceit.”
