約伯記 18

書亞人比勒達回答說：

shū yà rén bǐ lè dá huí dá shuō ：

Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,

你尋索言語要到幾時呢？ 你可以揣摩思想，然後我們就說話。

nǐ xún suǒ yán yǔ yào dào jǐ shí ne ？ nǐ kě yǐ chuāi mó sī xiǎng ， rán hòu wǒ men jiù shuō huà 。

“How long will you hunt for words? Consider, and afterwards we will speak.

我們為何算為畜生， 在你眼中看作污穢呢？

wǒ men wèi hé suàn wèi chù sheng ， zài nǐ yǎn zhōng kàn zuò wū huì ne ？

Why are we counted as animals, which have become unclean in your sight?

你這惱怒將自己撕裂的， 難道大地為你見棄、 磐石挪開原處嗎？

nǐ zhè nǎo nù jiāng zì jǐ sī liè de ， nán dào dà dì wèi nǐ jiàn qì 、 pán shí nuó kāi yuán chù ma ？

You who tear yourself in your anger, will the earth be forsaken for you? Or will the rock be removed out of its place?

惡人的亮光必要熄滅； 他的火焰必不照耀。

è rén de liàng guāng bì yào xī miè ； tā de huǒ yàn bì bú zhào yào 。

“Yes, the light of the wicked will be put out. The spark of his fire won’t shine.

他帳棚中的亮光要變為黑暗； 他以上的燈也必熄滅。

tā zhàng péng zhōng de liàng guāng yào biàn wèi hēi àn ； tā yǐ shàng de dēng yě bì xī miè 。

The light will be dark in his tent. His lamp above him will be put out.

他堅強的腳步必見狹窄； 自己的計謀必將他絆倒。

tā jiān qiáng de jiǎo bù bì jiàn xiá zhǎi ； zì jǐ de jì móu bì jiāng tā bàn dǎo 。

The steps of his strength will be shortened. His own counsel will cast him down.

因為他被自己的腳陷入網中， 走在纏人的網羅上。

yīn wèi tā bèi zì jǐ de jiǎo xiàn rù wǎng zhōng ， zǒu zài chán rén de wǎng luó shàng 。

For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he wanders into its mesh.

圈套必抓住他的腳跟； 機關必擒獲他。

quān tào bì zhuā zhù tā de jiǎo gēn ； jī guān bì qín huò tā 。

A snare will take him by the heel. A trap will catch him.

活扣為他藏在土內； 羈絆為他藏在路上。

huó kòu wèi tā cáng zài tǔ nèi ； jī bàn wèi tā cáng zài lù shang 。

A noose is hidden for him in the ground, a trap for him on the path.

四面的驚嚇要使他害怕， 並且追趕他的腳跟。

sì miàn de jīng xià yào shǐ tā hài pà ， bìng qiě zhuī gǎn tā de jiǎo gēn 。

Terrors will make him afraid on every side, and will chase him at his heels.

他的力量必因飢餓衰敗； 禍患要在他旁邊等候。

tā de lì liàng bì yīn jī è shuāi bài ； huò huàn yào zài tā páng biān děng hòu 。

His strength will be famished. Calamity will be ready at his side.

他本身的肢體要被吞吃； 死亡的長子要吞吃他的肢體。

tā běn shēn de zhī tǐ yào bèi tūn chī ； sǐ wáng de zhǎng zǐ yào tūn chī tā de zhī tǐ 。

The members of his body will be devoured. The firstborn of death will devour his members.

他要從所倚靠的帳棚被拔出來， 帶到驚嚇的王那裏。

tā yào cóng suǒ yǐ kào de zhàng péng bèi bá chū lái ， dài dào jīng xià de wáng nà lǐ 。

He will be rooted out of the security of his tent. He will be brought to the king of terrors.

不屬他的必住在他的帳棚裏； 硫磺必撒在他所住之處。

bù shǔ tā de bì zhù zài tā de zhàng péng lǐ ； liú huáng bì sā zài tā suǒ zhù zhī chù 。

There will dwell in his tent that which is none of his. Sulfur will be scattered on his habitation.

下邊，他的根本要枯乾； 上邊，他的枝子要剪除。

xià biān ， tā de gēn běn yào kū gān ； shàng biān ， tā de zhī zǐ yào jiǎn chú 。

His roots will be dried up beneath. His branch will be cut off above.

他的記念在地上必然滅亡； 他的名字在街上也不存留。

tā de jì niàn zài dì shàng bì rán miè wáng ； tā de míng zì zài jiē shàng yě bù cún liú 。

His memory will perish from the earth. He will have no name in the street.

他必從光明中被攆到黑暗裏， 必被趕出世界。

tā bì cóng guāng míng zhōng bèi niǎn dào hēi àn lǐ ， bì bèi gǎn chū shì jiè 。

He will be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.

在本民中必無子無孫； 在寄居之地也無一人存留。

zài běn mín zhōng bì wú zǐ wú sūn ； zài jì jū zhī dì yě wú yì rén cún liú 。

He will have neither son nor grandson among his people, nor any remaining where he lived.

以後來的要驚奇他的日子， 好像以前去的受了驚駭。

yǐ hòu lái de yào jīng qí tā de rì zi ， hǎo xiàng yǐ qián qù de shòu le jīng hài 。

Those who come after will be astonished at his day, as those who went before were frightened.

不義之人的住處總是這樣； 此乃不認識上帝之人的地步。

bú yì zhī rén de zhù chù zǒng shì zhè yàng ； cǐ nǎi bú rèn shi shén zhī rén de dì bù 。

Surely such are the dwellings of the unrighteous. This is the place of him who doesn’t know God.”
