約伯記 32

於是這三個人，因約伯自以為義就不再回答他。

yú shì zhè sān gè rén ， yīn yuē bó zì yǐ wéi yì jiù bú zài huí dá tā 。

So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.

那時有布西人蘭族巴拉迦的兒子以利戶向約伯發怒；因約伯自以為義，不以上帝為義。

nà shí yǒu bù xī rén lán zú bā lā jiā de ér zǐ yǐ lì hù xiàng yuē bó fā nù ； yīn yuē bó zì yǐ wéi yì ， bù yǐ shén wèi yì 。

Then the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel, the Buzite, of the family of Ram, was kindled against Job. His wrath was kindled because he justified himself rather than God.

他又向約伯的三個朋友發怒；因為他們想不出回答的話來，仍以約伯為有罪。

tā yòu xiàng yuē bó de sān gè péng yǒu fā nù ； yīn wèi tā men xiǎng bù chū huí dá de huà lái ， réng yǐ yuē bó wèi yǒu zuì 。

Also his wrath was kindled against his three friends, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.

以利戶要與約伯說話，就等候他們，因為他們比自己年老。

yǐ lì hù yào yǔ yuē bó shuō huà ， jiù děng hòu tā men ， yīn wèi tā men bǐ zì jǐ nián lǎo 。

Now Elihu had waited to speak to Job, because they were older than he.

以利戶見這三個人口中無話回答，就怒氣發作。

yǐ lì hù jiàn zhè sān gè rén kǒu zhōng wú huà huí dá ， jiù nù qì fā zuò 。

When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, his wrath was kindled.

布西人巴拉迦的兒子以利戶回答說： 我年輕，你們老邁； 因此我退讓，不敢向你們陳說我的意見。

bù xī rén bā lā jiā de ér zi yǐ lì hù huí dá shuō ： wǒ nián qīng ， nǐ men lǎo mài ； yīn cǐ wǒ tuì ràng ， bù gǎn xiàng nǐ men chén shuō wǒ de yì jiàn 。

Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered, “I am young, and you are very old. Therefore I held back, and didn’t dare show you my opinion.

我說，年老的當先說話； 壽高的當以智慧教訓人。

wǒ shuō ， nián lǎo de dāng xiān shuō huà ； shòu gāo de dāng yǐ zhì huì jiào xùn rén 。

I said, ‘Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.’

但在人裏面有靈； 全能者的氣使人有聰明。

dàn zài rén lǐ miàn yǒu líng ； quán néng zhě de qì shǐ rén yǒu cōng ming 。

But there is a spirit in man, and the Spirit of the Almighty gives them understanding.

尊貴的不都有智慧； 壽高的不都能明白公平。

zūn guì de bù dōu yǒu zhì huì ； shòu gāo de bù dōu néng míng bái gōng píng 。

It is not the great who are wise, nor the aged who understand justice.

因此我說：你們要聽我言； 我也要陳說我的意見。

yīn cǐ wǒ shuō ： nǐ men yào tīng wǒ yán ； wǒ yě yào chén shuō wǒ de yì jiàn 。

Therefore I said, ‘Listen to me; I also will show my opinion.’

你們查究所要說的話； 那時我等候你們的話， 側耳聽你們的辯論，

nǐ men chá jiū suǒ yào shuō de huà ； nà shí wǒ děng hòu nǐ men de huà ， cè ěr tīng nǐ men de biàn lùn ，

“Behold, I waited for your words, and I listened for your reasoning, while you searched out what to say.

留心聽你們； 誰知你們中間無一人折服約伯， 駁倒他的話。

liú xīn tīng nǐ men ； shuí zhī nǐ men zhōng jiān wú yì rén zhé fú yuē bó ， bó dǎo tā de huà 。

Yes, I gave you my full attention, but there was no one who convinced Job, or who answered his words, among you.

你們切不可說：我們尋得智慧； 上帝能勝他，人卻不能。

nǐ men qiè bù kě shuō ： wǒ men xún dé zhì huì ； shén néng shèng tā ， rén què bù néng 。

Beware lest you say, ‘We have found wisdom. God may refute him, not man;’

約伯沒有向我爭辯； 我也不用你們的話回答他。

yuē bó méi yǒu xiàng wǒ zhēng biàn ； wǒ yě bú yòng nǐ men de huà huí dá tā 。

for he has not directed his words against me; neither will I answer him with your speeches.

他們驚奇不再回答， 一言不發。

tā men jīng qí bú zài huí dá ， yì yán bù fā 。

“They are amazed. They answer no more. They don’t have a word to say.

我豈因他們不說話， 站住不再回答，仍舊等候呢？

wǒ qǐ yīn tā men bù shuō huà ， zhàn zhù bú zài huí dá ， réng jiù děng hòu ne ？

Shall I wait, because they don’t speak, because they stand still, and answer no more?

我也要回答我的一分話， 陳說我的意見。

wǒ yě yào huí dá wǒ de yì fēn huà ， chén shuō wǒ de yì jiàn 。

I also will answer my part, and I also will show my opinion.

因為我的言語滿懷； 我裏面的靈激動我。

yīn wèi wǒ de yán yǔ mǎn huái ； wǒ lǐ miàn de líng jī dòng wǒ 。

For I am full of words. The spirit within me constrains me.

我的胸懷如盛酒之囊沒有出氣之縫， 又如新皮袋快要破裂。

wǒ de xiōng huái rú shèng jiǔ zhī náng méi yǒu chū qì zhī fèng ， yòu rú xīn pí dài kuài yào pò liè 。

Behold, my breast is as wine which has no vent; like new wineskins it is ready to burst.

我要說話，使我舒暢； 我要開口回答。

wǒ yào shuō huà ， shǐ wǒ shū chàng ； wǒ yào kāi kǒu huí dá 。

I will speak, that I may be refreshed. I will open my lips and answer.

我必不看人的情面， 也不奉承人。

wǒ bì bú kàn rén de qíng miàn ， yě bú fèng chéng rén 。

Please don’t let me respect any man’s person, neither will I give flattering titles to any man.

我不曉得奉承； 若奉承，造我的主必快快除滅我。

wǒ bù xiǎo de fèng chéng ； ruò fèng chéng ， zào wǒ de zhǔ bì kuài kuài chú miè wǒ 。

For I don’t know how to give flattering titles, or else my Maker would soon take me away.
