約書亞記 4

國民盡都過了約旦河，耶和華就對約書亞說：

guó mín jìn dōu guò le yuē dàn hé ， yē hé huá jiù duì yuē shū yà shuō ：

When all the nation had completely crossed over the Jordan, the LORD spoke to Joshua, saying,

「你從民中要揀選十二個人，每支派一人，

「 nǐ cóng mín zhōng yào jiǎn xuǎn shí èr gè rén ， měi zhī pài yì rén ，

“Take twelve men out of the people, a man out of every tribe,

吩咐他們說：『你們從這裏，從約旦河中、祭司腳站定的地方，取十二塊石頭帶過去，放在你們今夜要住宿的地方。』」

fēn fù tā men shuō ：『 nǐ men cóng zhè lǐ ， cóng yuē dàn hé zhōng 、 jì sī jiǎo zhàn dìng de dì fāng ， qǔ shí èr kuài shí tou dài guò qù ， fàng zài nǐ men jīn yè yào zhù sù de dì fāng 。』」

and command them, saying, ‘Take from out of the middle of the Jordan, out of the place where the priests’ feet stood firm, twelve stones, carry them over with you, and lay them down in the place where you’ll camp tonight.’”

於是，約書亞將他從以色列人中所預備的那十二個人，每支派一人，都召了來。

yú shì ， yuē shū yà jiāng tā cóng yǐ sè liè rén zhōng suǒ yù bèi de nà shí èr gè rén ， měi zhī pài yì rén ， dōu zhào le lái 。

Then Joshua called the twelve men whom he had prepared of the children of Israel, a man out of every tribe.

對他們說：「你們下約旦河中，過到耶和華－你們上帝的約櫃前頭，按着以色列人十二支派的數目，每人取一塊石頭扛在肩上。

duì tā men shuō ：「 nǐ men xià yuē dàn hé zhōng ， guò dào yē hé huá — nǐ men shén de yuē guì qián tou ， àn zhe yǐ sè liè rén shí èr zhī pài de shù mù ， měi rén qǔ yí kuài shí tou káng zài jiān shàng 。

Joshua said to them, “Cross before the ark of the LORD your God into the middle of the Jordan, and each of you pick up a stone and put it on your shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel;

這些石頭在你們中間可以作為證據。日後，你們的子孫問你們說：『這些石頭是甚麼意思？』

zhè xiē shí tou zài nǐ men zhōng jiān kě yǐ zuò wéi zhèng jù 。 rì hòu ， nǐ men de zǐ sūn wèn nǐ men shuō ：『 zhè xiē shí tou shì shén me yì sī ？』

that this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask in the future, saying, ‘What do you mean by these stones?’

你們就對他們說：『這是因為約旦河的水在耶和華的約櫃前斷絕；約櫃過約旦河的時候，約旦河的水就斷絕了。這些石頭要作以色列人永遠的紀念。』」

nǐ men jiù duì tā men shuō ：『 zhè shì yīn wèi yuē dàn hé de shuǐ zài yē hé huá de yuē guì qián duàn jué ； yuē guì guò yuē dàn hé de shí hòu ， yuē dàn hé de shuǐ jiù duàn jué le 。 zhè xiē shí tou yào zuò yǐ sè liè rén yǒng yuǎn de jì niàn 。』」

then you shall tell them, ‘Because the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the LORD’s covenant. When it crossed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones shall be for a memorial to the children of Israel forever.’”

以色列人就照約書亞所吩咐的，按着以色列人支派的數目，從約旦河中取了十二塊石頭，都遵耶和華所吩咐約書亞的行了。他們把石頭帶過去，到他們所住宿的地方，就放在那裏。

yǐ sè liè rén jiù zhào yuē shū yà suǒ fēn fù de ， àn zhe yǐ sè liè rén zhī pài de shù mù ， cóng yuē dàn hé zhōng qǔ le shí èr kuài shí tou ， dōu zūn yē hé huá suǒ fēn fù yuē shū yà de xíng le 。 tā men bǎ shí tou dài guò qù ， dào tā men suǒ zhù sù de dì fāng ， jiù fàng zài nà lǐ 。

The children of Israel did as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones out of the middle of the Jordan, as the LORD spoke to Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel. They carried them over with them to the place where they camped, and laid them down there.

約書亞另把十二塊石頭立在約旦河中，在抬約櫃的祭司腳站立的地方；直到今日，那石頭還在那裏。

yuē shū yà lìng bǎ shí èr kuài shí tou lì zài yuē dàn hé zhōng ， zài tái yuē guì de jì sī jiǎo zhàn lì de dì fāng ； zhí dào jīn rì ， nà shí tou hái zài nà lǐ 。

Joshua set up twelve stones in the middle of the Jordan, in the place where the feet of the priests who bore the ark of the covenant stood; and they are there to this day.

抬約櫃的祭司站在約旦河中，等到耶和華曉諭約書亞吩咐百姓的事辦完了，是照摩西所吩咐約書亞的一切話。 於是百姓急速過去了。

tái yuē guì de jì sī zhàn zài yuē dàn hé zhōng ， děng dào yē hé huá xiǎo yù yuē shū yà fēn fù bǎi xìng de shì bàn wán le ， shì zhào mó xī suǒ fēn fù yuē shū yà de yí qiè huà 。 yú shì bǎi xìng jí sù guò qù le 。

For the priests who bore the ark stood in the middle of the Jordan until everything was finished that the LORD commanded Joshua to speak to the people, according to all that Moses commanded Joshua; and the people hurried and passed over.

眾百姓盡都過了河，耶和華的約櫃和祭司就在百姓面前過去。

zhòng bǎi xìng jìn dōu guò le hé ， yē hé huá de yuē guì hé jì sī jiù zài bǎi xìng miàn qián guò qù 。

When all the people had completely crossed over, the LORD’s ark crossed over with the priests in the presence of the people.

呂便人、迦得人、瑪拿西半支派的人都照摩西所吩咐他們的，帶着兵器在以色列人前頭過去。

lǚ biàn rén 、 jiā dé rén 、 mǎ ná xī bàn zhī pài de rén dōu zhào mó xī suǒ fēn fù tā men de ， dài zhe bīng qì zài yǐ sè liè rén qián tou guò qù 。

The children of Reuben, and the children of Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh crossed over armed before the children of Israel, as Moses spoke to them.

約有四萬人都準備打仗，在耶和華面前過去，到耶利哥的平原，等候上陣。

yuē yǒu sì wàn rén dōu zhǔn bèi dǎ zhàng ， zài yē hé huá miàn qián guò qù ， dào yē lì gē de píng yuán ， děng hòu shàng zhèn 。

About forty thousand men, ready and armed for war, passed over before the LORD to battle, to the plains of Jericho.

當那日，耶和華使約書亞在以色列眾人眼前尊大。在他平生的日子，百姓敬畏他，像從前敬畏摩西一樣。

dāng nà rì ， yē hé huá shǐ yuē shū yà zài yǐ sè liè zhòng rén yǎn qián zūn dà 。 zài tā píng shēng de rì zi ， bǎi xìng jìng wèi tā ， xiàng cóng qián jìng wèi mó xī yí yàng 。

On that day, the LORD magnified Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they feared him, as they feared Moses, all the days of his life.

耶和華曉諭約書亞說：

yē hé huá xiǎo yù yuē shū yà shuō ：

The LORD spoke to Joshua, saying,

「你吩咐抬法櫃的祭司從約旦河裏上來。」

「 nǐ fēn fù tái fǎ guì de jì sī cóng yuē dàn hé lǐ shàng lái 。」

“Command the priests who bear the ark of the covenant, that they come up out of the Jordan.”

約書亞就吩咐祭司說：「你們從約旦河裏上來。」

yuē shū yà jiù fēn fù jì sī shuō ：「 nǐ men cóng yuē dàn hé lǐ shàng lái 。」

Joshua therefore commanded the priests, saying, “Come up out of the Jordan!”

抬耶和華約櫃的祭司從約旦河裏上來，腳掌剛落旱地，約旦河的水就流到原處，仍舊漲過兩岸。

tái yē hé huá yuē guì de jì sī cóng yuē dàn hé lǐ shàng lái ， jiǎo zhǎng gāng luò hàn dì ， yuē dàn hé de shuǐ jiù liú dào yuán chù ， réng jiù zhǎng guò liǎng àn 。

When the priests who bore the ark of the LORD’s covenant had come up out of the middle of the Jordan, and the soles of the priests’ feet had been lifted up to the dry ground, the waters of the Jordan returned to their place, and went over all its banks, as before.

正月初十日，百姓從約旦河裏上來，就在吉甲，在耶利哥的東邊安營。

zhēng yuè chū shí rì ， bǎi xìng cóng yuē dàn hé lǐ shàng lái ， jiù zài jí jiǎ ， zài yē lì gē de dōng biān ān yíng 。

The people came up out of the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and encamped in Gilgal, on the east border of Jericho.

他們從約旦河中取來的那十二塊石頭，約書亞就立在吉甲，

tā men cóng yuē dàn hé zhōng qǔ lái de nà shí èr kuài shí tou ， yuē shū yà jiù lì zài jí jiǎ ，

Joshua set up those twelve stones, which they took out of the Jordan, in Gilgal.

對以色列人說：「日後你們的子孫問他們的父親說：『這些石頭是甚麼意思？』

duì yǐ sè liè rén shuō ：「 rì hòu nǐ men de zǐ sūn wèn tā men de fù qīn shuō ：『 zhè xiē shí tou shì shén me yì sī ？』

He spoke to the children of Israel, saying, “When your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, ‘What do these stones mean?’

你們就告訴他們說：『以色列人曾走乾地過這約旦河；

nǐ men jiù gào sù tā men shuō ：『 yǐ sè liè rén céng zǒu gān dì guò zhè yuē dàn hé ；

Then you shall let your children know, saying, ‘Israel came over this Jordan on dry land.

因為耶和華－你們的上帝在你們前面使約旦河的水乾了，等着你們過來，就如耶和華－你們的上帝從前在我們前面使紅海乾了，等着我們過來一樣，

yīn wèi yē hé huá — nǐ men de shén zài nǐ men qián miàn shǐ yuē dàn hé de shuǐ gān le ， děng zhe nǐ men guò lái ， jiù rú yē hé huá — nǐ men de shén cóng qián zài wǒ men qián miàn shǐ hóng hǎi gān le ， děng zhe wǒ men guò lái yí yàng ，

For the LORD your God dried up the waters of the Jordan from before you until you had crossed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red Sea, which he dried up from before us, until we had crossed over,

要使地上萬民都知道，耶和華的手大有能力，也要使你們永遠敬畏耶和華－你們的上帝。』」

yào shǐ dì shàng wàn mín dōu zhī dào ， yē hé huá de shǒu dà yǒu néng lì ， yě yào shǐ nǐ men yǒng yuǎn jìng wèi yē hé huá — nǐ men de shén 。』」

that all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD’s hand is mighty, and that you may fear the LORD your God forever.’”
