箴言 10

所羅門的箴言： 智慧之子使父親歡樂； 愚昧之子叫母親擔憂。

suǒ luó mén de zhēn yán ： zhì huì zhī zǐ shǐ fù qīn huān lè ； yú mèi zhī zǐ jiào mǔ qīn dān yōu 。

The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes a glad father; but a foolish son brings grief to his mother.

不義之財毫無益處； 惟有公義能救人脫離死亡。

bú yì zhī cái háo wú yì chù ； wéi yǒu gōng yì néng jiù rén tuō lí sǐ wáng 。

Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, but righteousness delivers from death.

耶和華不使義人受飢餓； 惡人所欲的，他必推開。

yē hé huá bù shǐ yì rén shòu jī è ； è rén suǒ yù de ， tā bì tuī kāi 。

The LORD will not allow the soul of the righteous to go hungry, but he thrusts away the desire of the wicked.

手懶的，要受貧窮； 手勤的，卻要富足。

shǒu lǎn de ， yào shòu pín qióng ； shǒu qín de ， què yào fù zú 。

He becomes poor who works with a lazy hand, but the hand of the diligent brings wealth.

夏天聚斂的，是智慧之子； 收割時沉睡的，是貽羞之子。

xià tiān jù liǎn de ， shì zhì huì zhī zǐ ； shōu gē shí chén shuì de ， shì yí xiū zhī zǐ 。

He who gathers in summer is a wise son, but he who sleeps during the harvest is a son who causes shame.

福祉臨到義人的頭； 強暴蒙蔽惡人的口。

fú zhǐ lín dào yì rén de tóu ； qiáng bào méng bì è rén de kǒu 。

Blessings are on the head of the righteous, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.

義人的紀念被稱讚； 惡人的名字必朽爛。

yì rén de jì niàn bèi chēng zàn ； è rén de míng zì bì xiǔ làn 。

The memory of the righteous is blessed, but the name of the wicked will rot.

心中智慧的，必受命令； 口裏愚妄的，必致傾倒。

xīn zhōng zhì huì de ， bì shòu mìng lìng ； kǒu lǐ yú wàng de ， bì zhì qīng dǎo 。

The wise in heart accept commandments, but a chattering fool will fall.

行正直路的，步步安穩； 走彎曲道的，必致敗露。

xíng zhèng zhí lù de ， bù bù ān wěn ； zǒu wān qū dào de ， bì zhì bài lù 。

He who walks blamelessly walks surely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out.

以眼傳神的，使人憂患； 口裏愚妄的，必致傾倒。

yǐ yǎn chuán shén de ， shǐ rén yōu huàn ； kǒu lǐ yú wàng de ， bì zhì qīng dǎo 。

One who winks with the eye causes sorrow, but a chattering fool will fall.

義人的口是生命的泉源； 強暴蒙蔽惡人的口。

yì rén de kǒu shì shēng mìng de quán yuán ； qiáng bào méng bì è rén de kǒu 。

The mouth of the righteous is a spring of life, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.

恨能挑啟爭端； 愛能遮掩一切過錯。

hèn néng tiāo qǐ zhēng duān ； ài néng zhē yǎn yí qiè guò cuò 。

Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all wrongs.

明哲人嘴裏有智慧； 無知人背上受刑杖。

míng zhé rén zuǐ lǐ yǒu zhì huì ； wú zhī rén bèi shàng shòu xíng zhàng 。

Wisdom is found on the lips of him who has discernment, but a rod is for the back of him who is void of understanding.

智慧人積存知識； 愚妄人的口速致敗壞。

zhì huì rén jī cún zhī shi ； yú wàng rén de kǒu sù zhì bài huài 。

Wise men lay up knowledge, but the mouth of the foolish is near ruin.

富戶的財物是他的堅城； 窮人的貧乏是他的敗壞。

fù hù de cái wù shì tā de jiān chéng ； qióng rén de pín fá shì tā de bài huài 。

The rich man’s wealth is his strong city. The destruction of the poor is their poverty.

義人的勤勞致生； 惡人的進項致死 。

yì rén de qín láo zhì shēng ； è rén de jìn xiàng zhì sǐ 。

The labor of the righteous leads to life. The increase of the wicked leads to sin.

謹守訓誨的，乃在生命的道上； 違棄責備的，便失迷了路。

jǐn shǒu xùn huì de ， nǎi zài shēng mìng de dào shàng ； wéi qì zé bèi de ， biàn shī mí le lù 。

He is in the way of life who heeds correction, but he who forsakes reproof leads others astray.

隱藏怨恨的，有說謊的嘴； 口出讒謗的，是愚妄的人。

yǐn cáng yuàn hèn de ， yǒu shuō huǎng de zuǐ ； kǒu chū chán bàng de ， shì yú wàng de rén 。

He who hides hatred has lying lips. He who utters a slander is a fool.

多言多語難免有過； 禁止嘴唇是有智慧。

duō yán duō yǔ nán miǎn yǒu guò ； jìn zhǐ zuǐ chún shì yǒu zhì huì 。

In the multitude of words there is no lack of disobedience, but he who restrains his lips does wisely.

義人的舌乃似高銀； 惡人的心所值無幾。

yì rén de shé nǎi sì gāo yín ； è rén de xīn suǒ zhí wú jǐ 。

The tongue of the righteous is like choice silver. The heart of the wicked is of little worth.

義人的口教養多人； 愚昧人因無知而死亡。

yì rén de kǒu jiào yǎng duō rén ； yú mèi rén yīn wú zhī ér sǐ wáng 。

The lips of the righteous feed many, but the foolish die for lack of understanding.

耶和華所賜的福使人富足， 並不加上憂慮。

yē hé huá suǒ cì de fú shǐ rén fù zú ， bìng bù jiā shàng yōu lǜ 。

The LORD’s blessing brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it.

愚妄人以行惡為戲耍； 明哲人卻以智慧為樂。

yú wàng rén yǐ xíng è wèi xì shuǎ ； míng zhé rén què yǐ zhì huì wèi lè 。

It is a fool’s pleasure to do wickedness, but wisdom is a man of understanding’s pleasure.

惡人所怕的，必臨到他； 義人所願的，必蒙應允。

è rén suǒ pà de ， bì lín dào tā ； yì rén suǒ yuàn de ， bì méng yīng yǔn 。

What the wicked fear will overtake them, but the desire of the righteous will be granted.

暴風一過，惡人歸於無有； 義人的根基卻是永久。

bào fēng yí guò ， è rén guī yú wú yǒu ； yì rén de gēn jī què shì yǒng jiǔ 。

When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more; but the righteous stand firm forever.

懶惰人叫差他的人 如醋倒牙，如煙薰目。

lǎn duò rén jiào chà tā de rén rú cù dǎo yá ， rú yān xūn mù 。

As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to those who send him.

敬畏耶和華使人日子加多； 但惡人的年歲必被減少。

jìng wèi yē hé huá shǐ rén rì zi jiā duō ； dàn è rén de nián suì bì bèi jiǎn shǎo 。

The fear of the LORD prolongs days, but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.

義人的盼望必得喜樂； 惡人的指望必致滅沒。

yì rén de pàn wàng bì dé xǐ lè ； è rén de zhǐ wàng bì zhì miè méi 。

The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hope of the wicked will perish.

耶和華的道是正直人的保障， 卻成了作孽人的敗壞。

yē hé huá de dào shì zhèng zhí rén de bǎo zhàng ， què chéng le zuò niè rén de bài huài 。

The way of the LORD is a stronghold to the upright, but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity.

義人永不挪移； 惡人不得住在地上。

yì rén yǒng bù nuó yí ； è rén bù dé zhù zài dì shàng 。

The righteous will never be removed, but the wicked will not dwell in the land.

義人的口滋生智慧； 乖謬的舌必被割斷。

yì rén de kǒu zī shēng zhì huì ； guāi miù de shé bì bèi gē duàn 。

The mouth of the righteous produces wisdom, but the perverse tongue will be cut off.

義人的嘴能令人喜悅； 惡人的口說乖謬的話。

yì rén de zuǐ néng lìng rén xǐ yuè ； è rén de kǒu shuō guāi miù de huà 。

The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, but the mouth of the wicked is perverse.
