箴言 11

詭詐的天平為耶和華所憎惡； 公平的法碼為他所喜悅。

guǐ zhà de tiān píng wèi yē hé huá suǒ zēng wù ； gōng píng de fǎ mǎ wèi tā suǒ xǐ yuè 。

A false balance is an abomination to the LORD, but accurate weights are his delight.

驕傲來，羞恥也來； 謙遜人卻有智慧。

jiāo ào lái ， xiū chǐ yě lái ； qiān xùn rén què yǒu zhì huì 。

When pride comes, then comes shame, but with humility comes wisdom.

正直人的純正必引導自己； 奸詐人的乖僻必毀滅自己。

zhèng zhí rén de chún zhèng bì yǐn dǎo zì jǐ ； jiān zhà rén de guāi pì bì huǐ miè zì jǐ 。

The integrity of the upright shall guide them, but the perverseness of the treacherous shall destroy them.

發怒的日子資財無益； 惟有公義能救人脫離死亡。

fā nù de rì zi zī cái wú yì ； wéi yǒu gōng yì néng jiù rén tuō lí sǐ wáng 。

Riches don’t profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.

完全人的義必指引他的路； 但惡人必因自己的惡跌倒。

wán quán rén de yì bì zhǐ yǐn tā de lù ； dàn è rén bì yīn zì jǐ de è diē dǎo 。

The righteousness of the blameless will direct his way, but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.

正直人的義必拯救自己； 奸詐人必陷在自己的罪孽中。

zhèng zhí rén de yì bì zhěng jiù zì jǐ ； jiān zhà rén bì xiàn zài zì jǐ de zuì niè zhōng 。

The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them, but the unfaithful will be trapped by evil desires.

惡人一死，他的指望必滅絕； 罪人的盼望也必滅沒。

è rén yì sǐ ， tā de zhǐ wàng bì miè jué ； zuì rén de pàn wàng yě bì miè méi 。

When a wicked man dies, hope perishes, and expectation of power comes to nothing.

義人得脫離患難， 有惡人來代替他。

yì rén dé tuō lí huàn nàn ， yǒu è rén lái dài tì tā 。

A righteous person is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked takes his place.

不虔敬的人用口敗壞鄰舍； 義人卻因知識得救。

bù qián jìng de rén yòng kǒu bài huài lín shè ； yì rén què yīn zhī shi dé jiù 。

With his mouth the godless man destroys his neighbor, but the righteous will be delivered through knowledge.

義人享福，合城喜樂； 惡人滅亡，人都歡呼。

yì rén xiǎng fú ， hé chéng xǐ lè ； è rén miè wáng ， rén dōu huān hū 。

When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices. When the wicked perish, there is shouting.

城因正直人祝福便高舉， 卻因邪惡人的口就傾覆。

chéng yīn zhèng zhí rén zhù fú biàn gāo jǔ ， què yīn xié è rén de kǒu jiù qīng fù 。

By the blessing of the upright, the city is exalted, but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.

藐視鄰舍的，毫無智慧； 明哲人卻靜默不言。

miǎo shì lín shè de ， háo wú zhì huì ； míng zhé rén què jìng mò bù yán 。

One who despises his neighbor is void of wisdom, but a man of understanding holds his peace.

往來傳舌的，洩漏密事； 心中誠實的，遮隱事情。

wǎng lái chuán shé de ， xiè lòu mì shì ； xīn zhōng chéng shí de ， zhē yǐn shì qíng 。

One who brings gossip betrays a confidence, but one who is of a trustworthy spirit is one who keeps a secret.

無智謀，民就敗落； 謀士多，人便安居。

wú zhì móu ， mín jiù bài luò ； móu shì duō ， rén biàn ān jū 。

Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory.

為外人作保的，必受虧損； 恨惡擊掌的，卻得安穩。

wèi wài rén zuò bǎo de ， bì shòu kuī sǔn ； hèn è jī zhǎng de ， què dé ān wěn 。

He who is collateral for a stranger will suffer for it, but he who refuses pledges of collateral is secure.

恩德的婦女得尊榮； 強暴的男子得資財。

ēn dé de fù nǚ dé zūn róng ； qiáng bào de nán zǐ dé zī cái 。

A gracious woman obtains honor, but violent men obtain riches.

仁慈的人善待自己； 殘忍的人擾害己身。

rén cí de rén shàn dài zì jǐ ； cán rěn de rén rǎo hài jǐ shēn 。

The merciful man does good to his own soul, but he who is cruel troubles his own flesh.

惡人經營，得虛浮的工價； 撒義種的，得實在的果效。

è rén jīng yíng ， dé xū fú de gōng jià ； sā yì zhǒng de ， dé shí zài de guǒ xiào 。

Wicked people earn deceitful wages, but one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.

恆心為義的，必得生命； 追求邪惡的，必致死亡。

héng xīn wèi yì de ， bì dé shēng mìng ； zhuī qiú xié è de ， bì zhì sǐ wáng 。

He who is truly righteous gets life. He who pursues evil gets death.

心中乖僻的，為耶和華所憎惡； 行事完全的，為他所喜悅。

xīn zhōng guāi pì de ， wèi yē hé huá suǒ zēng wù ； xíng shì wán quán de ， wèi tā suǒ xǐ yuè 。

Those who are perverse in heart are an abomination to the LORD, but those whose ways are blameless are his delight.

惡人雖然連手，必不免受罰； 義人的後裔必得拯救。

è rén suī rán lián shǒu ， bì bù miǎn shòu fá ； yì rén de hòu yì bì dé zhěng jiù 。

Most certainly, the evil man will not be unpunished, but the offspring of the righteous will be delivered.

婦女美貌而無見識， 如同金環帶在豬鼻上。

fù nǚ měi mào ér wú jiàn shi ， rú tóng jīn huán dài zài zhū bí shàng 。

Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout, is a beautiful woman who lacks discretion.

義人的心願盡得好處； 惡人的指望致干忿怒。

yì rén de xīn yuàn jìn dé hǎo chù ； è rén de zhǐ wàng zhì gān fèn nù 。

The desire of the righteous is only good. The expectation of the wicked is wrath.

有施散的，卻更增添； 有吝惜過度的，反致窮乏。

yǒu shī sàn de ， què gèng zēng tiān ； yǒu lìn xī guò dù de ， fǎn zhì qióng fá 。

There is one who scatters, and increases yet more. There is one who withholds more than is appropriate, but gains poverty.

好施捨的，必得豐裕； 滋潤人的，必得滋潤。

hǎo shī shě de ， bì dé fēng yù ； zī rùn rén de ， bì dé zī rùn 。

The liberal soul shall be made fat. He who waters shall be watered also himself.

屯糧不賣的，民必咒詛他； 情願出賣的，人必為他祝福。

tún liáng bú mài de ， mín bì zhòu zǔ tā ； qíng yuàn chū mài de ， rén bì wèi tā zhù fú 。

People curse someone who withholds grain, but blessing will be on the head of him who sells it.

懇切求善的，就求得恩惠； 惟獨求惡的，惡必臨到他身。

kěn qiè qiú shàn de ， jiù qiú dé ēn huì ； wéi dú qiú è de ， è bì lín dào tā shēn 。

He who diligently seeks good seeks favor, but he who searches after evil, it shall come to him.

倚仗自己財物的，必跌倒； 義人必發旺，如青葉。

yǐ zhàng zì jǐ cái wù de ， bì diē dǎo ； yì rén bì fā wàng ， rú qīng yè 。

He who trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous shall flourish as the green leaf.

擾害己家的，必承受清風； 愚昧人必作慧心人的僕人。

rǎo hài jǐ jiā de ， bì chéng shòu qīng fēng ； yú mèi rén bì zuò huì xīn rén de pú rén 。

He who troubles his own house shall inherit the wind. The foolish shall be servant to the wise of heart.

義人所結的果子就是生命樹； 有智慧的，必能得人。

yì rén suǒ jié de guǒ zǐ jiù shì shēng mìng shù ； yǒu zhì huì de ， bì néng dé rén 。

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life. He who is wise wins souls.

看哪，義人在世尚且受報， 何況惡人和罪人呢？

kàn nǎ ， yì rén zài shì shàng qiě shòu bào ， hé kuàng è rén hé zuì rén ne ？

Behold, the righteous shall be repaid in the earth, how much more the wicked and the sinner!
