箴言 28

惡人雖無人追趕也逃跑； 義人卻膽壯像獅子。

è rén suī wú rén zhuī gǎn yě táo pǎo ； yì rén què dǎn zhuàng xiàng shī zi 。

The wicked flee when no one pursues; but the righteous are as bold as a lion.

邦國因有罪過，君王就多更換； 因有聰明知識的人，國必長存。

bāng guó yīn yǒu zuì guo ， jūn wáng jiù duō gēng huàn ； yīn yǒu cōng ming zhī shi de rén ， guó bì cháng cún 。

In rebellion, a land has many rulers, but order is maintained by a man of understanding and knowledge.

窮人欺壓貧民， 好像暴雨沖沒糧食。

qióng rén qī yā pín mín ， hǎo xiàng bào yǔ chōng méi liáng shí 。

A needy man who oppresses the poor is like a driving rain which leaves no crops.

違棄律法的，誇獎惡人； 遵守律法的，卻與惡人相爭。

wéi qì lǜ fǎ de ， kuā jiǎng è rén ； zūn shǒu lǜ fǎ de ， què yǔ è rén xiāng zhēng 。

Those who forsake the law praise the wicked; but those who keep the law contend with them.

壞人不明白公義； 惟有尋求耶和華的，無不明白。

huài rén bù míng bái gōng yì ； wéi yǒu xún qiú yē hé huá de ， wú bù míng bái 。

Evil men don’t understand justice; but those who seek the LORD understand it fully.

行為純正的窮乏人 勝過行事乖僻的富足人。

xíng wéi chún zhèng de qióng fá rén shèng guò xíng shì guāi pì de fù zú rén 。

Better is the poor who walks in his integrity than he who is perverse in his ways, and he is rich.

謹守律法的，是智慧之子； 與貪食人作伴的，卻羞辱其父。

jǐn shǒu lǜ fǎ de ， shì zhì huì zhī zǐ ； yǔ tān shí rén zuò bàn de ， què xiū rǔ qí fù 。

Whoever keeps the law is a wise son; but he who is a companion of gluttons shames his father.

人以厚利加增財物， 是給那憐憫窮人者積蓄的。

rén yǐ hòu lì jiā zēng cái wù ， shì gěi nà lián mǐn qióng rén zhě jī xù de 。

He who increases his wealth by excessive interest gathers it for one who has pity on the poor.

轉耳不聽律法的， 他的祈禱也為可憎。

zhuǎn ěr bù tīng lǜ fǎ de ， tā de qí dǎo yě wèi kě zēng 。

He who turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.

誘惑正直人行惡道的，必掉在自己的坑裏； 惟有完全人必承受福分。

yòu huò zhèng zhí rén xíng è dào de ， bì diào zài zì jǐ de kēng lǐ ； wéi yǒu wán quán rén bì chéng shòu fú fēn 。

Whoever causes the upright to go astray in an evil way, he will fall into his own trap; but the blameless will inherit good.

富足人自以為有智慧， 但聰明的貧窮人能將他查透。

fù zú rén zì yǐ wéi yǒu zhì huì ， dàn cōng ming de pín qióng rén néng jiāng tā chá tòu 。

The rich man is wise in his own eyes; but the poor who has understanding sees through him.

義人得志，有大榮耀； 惡人興起，人就躲藏。

yì rén dé zhì ， yǒu dà róng yào ； è rén xīng qǐ ， rén jiù duǒ cáng 。

When the righteous triumph, there is great glory; but when the wicked rise, men hide themselves.

遮掩自己罪過的，必不亨通； 承認離棄罪過的，必蒙憐恤。

zhē yǎn zì jǐ zuì guo de ， bì bù hēng tōng ； chéng rèn lí qì zuì guo de ， bì méng lián xù 。

He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy.

常存敬畏的，便為有福； 心存剛硬的，必陷在禍患裏。

cháng cún jìng wèi de ， biàn wèi yǒu fú ； xīn cún gāng yìng de ， bì xiàn zài huò huàn lǐ 。

Blessed is the man who always fears; but one who hardens his heart falls into trouble.

暴虐的君王轄制貧民， 好像吼叫的獅子、覓食的熊。

bào nüè de jūn wáng xiá zhì pín mín ， hǎo xiàng hǒu jiào de shī zi 、 mì shí de xióng 。

As a roaring lion or a charging bear, so is a wicked ruler over helpless people.

無知的君多行暴虐； 以貪財為可恨的，必年長日久。

wú zhī de jūn duō háng bào nüè ； yǐ tān cái wèi kě hèn de ， bì nián zhǎng rì jiǔ 。

A tyrannical ruler lacks judgment. One who hates ill-gotten gain will have long days.

背負流人血之罪的，必往坑裏奔跑， 誰也不可攔阻他。

bèi fù liú rén xuè zhī zuì de ， bì wǎng kēng lǐ bēn pǎo ， shuí yě bù kě lán zǔ tā 。

A man who is tormented by blood guilt will be a fugitive until death. No one will support him.

行動正直的，必蒙拯救； 行事彎曲的，立時跌倒。

xíng dòng zhèng zhí de ， bì méng zhěng jiù ； xíng shì wān qū de ， lì shí diē dǎo 。

Whoever walks blamelessly is kept safe; but one with perverse ways will fall suddenly.

耕種自己田地的，必得飽食； 追隨虛浮的，足受窮乏。

gēng zhǒng zì jǐ tián dì de ， bì dé bǎo shí ； zhuī suí xū fú de ， zú shòu qióng fá 。

One who works his land will have an abundance of food; but one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty.

誠實人必多得福； 想要急速發財的，不免受罰。

chéng shí rén bì duō dé fú ； xiǎng yào jí sù fā cái de ， bù miǎn shòu fá 。

A faithful man is rich with blessings; but one who is eager to be rich will not go unpunished.

看人的情面乃為不好； 人因一塊餅枉法也為不好。

kàn rén de qíng miàn nǎi wèi bù hǎo ； rén yīn yí kuài bǐng wǎng fǎ yě wèi bù hǎo 。

To show partiality is not good, yet a man will do wrong for a piece of bread.

人有惡眼想要急速發財， 卻不知窮乏必臨到他身。

rén yǒu è yǎn xiǎng yào jí sù fā cái ， què bù zhī qióng fá bì lín dào tā shēn 。

A stingy man hurries after riches, and doesn’t know that poverty waits for him.

責備人的，後來蒙人喜悅， 多於那用舌頭諂媚人的。

zé bèi rén de ， hòu lái méng rén xǐ yuè ， duō yú nà yòng shé tou chǎn mèi rén de 。

One who rebukes a man will afterward find more favor than one who flatters with the tongue.

偷竊父母的，說：這不是罪， 此人就是與強盜同類。

tōu qiè fù mǔ de ， shuō ： zhè bú shì zuì ， cǐ rén jiù shì yǔ qiáng dào tóng lèi 。

Whoever robs his father or his mother and says, “It’s not wrong,” is a partner with a destroyer.

心中貪婪的，挑起爭端； 倚靠耶和華的，必得豐裕。

xīn zhōng tān lán de ， tiāo qǐ zhēng duān ； yǐ kào yē hé huá de ， bì dé fēng yù 。

One who is greedy stirs up strife; but one who trusts in the LORD will prosper.

心中自是的，便是愚昧人； 憑智慧行事的，必蒙拯救。

xīn zhōng zì shì de ， biàn shì yú mèi rén ； píng zhì huì xíng shì de ， bì méng zhěng jiù 。

One who trusts in himself is a fool; but one who walks in wisdom is kept safe.

賙濟貧窮的，不致缺乏； 佯為不見的，必多受咒詛。

zhōu jì pín qióng de ， bú zhì quē fá ； yáng wèi bú jiàn de ， bì duō shòu zhòu zǔ 。

One who gives to the poor has no lack; but one who closes his eyes will have many curses.

惡人興起，人就躲藏； 惡人敗亡，義人增多。

è rén xīng qǐ ， rén jiù duǒ cáng ； è rén bài wáng ， yì rén zēng duō 。

When the wicked rise, men hide themselves; but when they perish, the righteous thrive.
