非利士人與以色列人爭戰，以色列人在非利士人面前逃跑，在基利波山有被殺仆倒的。

fēi lì shì rén yǔ yǐ sè liè rén zhēng zhàn ， yǐ sè liè rén zài fēi lì shì rén miàn qián táo pǎo ， zài jī lì bō shān yǒu bèi shā pú dǎo de 。

Now the Philistines fought against Israel; and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines, and fell down slain on Mount Gilboa.

非利士人緊追掃羅和他兒子們，就殺了掃羅的兒子約拿單、亞比拿達、麥基舒亞。

fēi lì shì rén jǐn zhuī sǎo luó hé tā ér zǐ men ， jiù shā le sǎo luó de ér zi yuē ná dān 、 yà bǐ ná dá 、 mài jī shū yà 。

The Philistines followed hard after Saul and after his sons; and the Philistines killed Jonathan, Abinadab, and Malchishua, the sons of Saul.

勢派甚大，掃羅被弓箭手追上，射傷甚重，

shì pài shèn dà ， sǎo luó bèi gōng jiàn shǒu zhuī shàng ， shè shāng shèn zhòng ，

The battle went hard against Saul, and the archers overtook him; and he was distressed by reason of the archers.

就吩咐拿他兵器的人說：「你拔出刀來，將我刺死，免得那些未受割禮的人來凌辱我。」但拿兵器的人甚懼怕，不肯刺他；

jiù fēn fù ná tā bīng qì de rén shuō ：「 nǐ bá chū dāo lái ， jiāng wǒ cì sǐ ， miǎn de nà xiē wèi shòu gē lǐ de rén lái líng rǔ wǒ 。」 dàn ná bīng qì de rén shèn jù pà ， bù kěn cì tā ；

Then Saul said to his armor bearer, “Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it, lest these uncircumcised come and abuse me.” But his armor bearer would not, for he was terrified. Therefore Saul took his sword and fell on it.

掃羅就自己伏在刀上死了。拿兵器的人見掃羅已死，也伏在刀上死了。

sǎo luó jiù zì jǐ fú zài dāo shàng sǐ le 。 ná bīng qì de rén jiàn sǎo luó yǐ sǐ ， yě fú zài dāo shàng sǐ le 。

When his armor bearer saw that Saul was dead, he likewise fell on his sword and died.

這樣，掃羅和他三個兒子，並他的全家都一同死亡。

zhè yàng ， sǎo luó hé tā sān gè ér zi ， bìng tā de quán jiā dōu yì tóng sǐ wáng 。

So Saul died with his three sons; and all his house died together.

住平原的以色列眾人見以色列軍兵逃跑，掃羅和他兒子都死了，也就棄城逃跑，非利士人便來住在其中。

zhù píng yuán de yǐ sè liè zhòng rén jiàn yǐ sè liè jūn bīng táo pǎo ， sǎo luó hé tā ér zi dōu sǐ le ， yě jiù qì chéng táo pǎo ， fēi lì shì rén biàn lái zhù zài qí zhōng 。

When all the men of Israel who were in the valley saw that they fled, and that Saul and his sons were dead, they abandoned their cities, and fled; and the Philistines came and lived in them.

次日，非利士人來剝那被殺之人的衣服，看見掃羅和他兒子仆倒在基利波山，

cì rì ， fēi lì shì rén lái bāo nà bèi shā zhī rén de yī fu ， kàn jiàn sǎo luó hé tā ér zi pú dǎo zài jī lì bō shān ，

On the next day, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, they found Saul and his sons fallen on Mount Gilboa.

就剝了他的軍裝，割下他的首級，打發人到 非利士地的四境報信與他們的偶像和眾民，

jiù bāo le tā de jūn zhuāng ， gē xià tā de shǒu jí ， dǎ fā rén dào fēi lì shì dì de sì jìng bào xìn yǔ tā men de ǒu xiàng hé zhòng mín ，

They stripped him and took his head and his armor, then sent into the land of the Philistines all around to carry the news to their idols and to the people.

又將掃羅的軍裝放在他們神的廟裏，將他的首級釘在大袞廟中。

yòu jiāng sǎo luó de jūn zhuāng fàng zài tā men shén de miào lǐ ， jiāng tā de shǒu jí dīng zài dà gǔn miào zhōng 。

They put his armor in the house of their gods, and fastened his head in the house of Dagon.

基列‧雅比人聽見非利士人向掃羅所行的一切事，

jī liè · yǎ bǐ rén tīng jiàn fēi lì shì rén xiàng sǎo luó suǒ xíng de yí qiè shì ，

When all Jabesh Gilead heard all that the Philistines had done to Saul,

他們中間所有的勇士就起身前去，將掃羅和他兒子的屍身送到雅比，將他們的屍骨葬在雅比的橡樹下，就禁食七日。

tā men zhōng jiān suǒ yǒu de yǒng shì jiù qǐ shēn qián qù ， jiāng sǎo luó hé tā ér zi de shī shēn sòng dào yǎ bǐ ， jiāng tā men de shī gǔ zàng zài yǎ bǐ de xiàng shù xià ， jiù jìn shí qī rì 。

all the valiant men arose and took away the body of Saul and the bodies of his sons, and brought them to Jabesh, and buried their bones under the oak in Jabesh, and fasted seven days.

這樣，掃羅死了。因為他干犯耶和華，沒有遵守耶和華的命；又因他求問交鬼的婦人，

zhè yàng ， sǎo luó sǐ le 。 yīn wèi tā gān fàn yē hé huá ， méi yǒu zūn shǒu yē hé huá de mìng ； yòu yīn tā qiú wèn jiāo guǐ de fù rén ，

So Saul died for his trespass which he committed against the LORD, because of the LORD’s word, which he didn’t keep, and also because he asked counsel of one who had a familiar spirit, to inquire,

沒有求問耶和華，所以耶和華使他被殺，把國歸於耶西的兒子大衛。

méi yǒu qiú wèn yē hé huá ， suǒ yǐ yē hé huá shǐ tā bèi shā ， bǎ guó guī yú yē xī de ér zi dà wèi 。

and didn’t inquire of the LORD. Therefore he killed him, and turned the kingdom over to David the son of Jesse.
