士師記 11

基列人耶弗他是個大能的勇士，是妓女的兒子。耶弗他是基列所生的。

jī liè rén yē fú tā shì gè dà néng de yǒng shì ， shì jì nǚ de ér zi 。 yē fú tā shì jī liè suǒ shēng de 。

Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valor. He was the son of a prostitute. Gilead became the father of Jephthah.

基列的妻也生了幾個兒子：他妻所生的兒子長大了，就趕逐耶弗他，說：「你不可在我們父家承受產業，因為你是妓女的兒子。」

jī liè de qī yě shēng le jǐ gè ér zi ： tā qī suǒ shēng de ér zi zhǎng dà le ， jiù gǎn zhú yē fú tā ， shuō ：「 nǐ bù kě zài wǒ men fù jiā chéng shòu chǎn yè ， yīn wèi nǐ shì jì nǚ de ér zi 。」

Gilead’s wife bore him sons. When his wife’s sons grew up, they drove Jephthah out and said to him, “You will not inherit in our father’s house, for you are the son of another woman.”

耶弗他就逃避他的弟兄，去住在陀伯地，有些匪徒到他那裏聚集，與他一同出入。

yē fú tā jiù táo bì tā de dì xiong ， qù zhù zài tuó bó dì ， yǒu xiē fěi tú dào tā nà lǐ jù jí ， yǔ tā yì tóng chū rù 。

Then Jephthah fled from his brothers and lived in the land of Tob. Outlaws joined up with Jephthah, and they went out with him.

過了些日子，亞捫人攻打以色列。

guò le xiē rì zi ， yà mén rén gōng dǎ yǐ sè liè 。

After a while, the children of Ammon made war against Israel.

亞捫人攻打以色列的時候，基列的長老到陀伯地去，要叫耶弗他回來；

yà mén rén gōng dǎ yǐ sè liè de shí hòu ， jī liè de zhǎng lǎo dào tuó bó dì qù ， yào jiào yē fú tā huí lái ；

When the children of Ammon made war against Israel, the elders of Gilead went to get Jephthah out of the land of Tob.

對耶弗他說：「請你來作我們的元帥，我們好與亞捫人爭戰。」

duì yē fú tā shuō ：「 qǐng nǐ lái zuò wǒ men de yuán shuài ， wǒ men hǎo yǔ yà mén rén zhēng zhàn 。」

They said to Jephthah, “Come and be our chief, that we may fight with the children of Ammon.”

耶弗他回答基列的長老說：「從前你們不是恨我、趕逐我出離父家嗎？現在你們遭遇急難為何到我這裏來呢？」

yē fú tā huí dá jī liè de zhǎng lǎo shuō ：「 cóng qián nǐ men bú shì hèn wǒ 、 gǎn zhú wǒ chū lí fù jiā ma ？ xiàn zài nǐ men zāo yù jí nán wéi hé dào wǒ zhè lǐ lái ne ？」

Jephthah said to the elders of Gilead, “Didn’t you hate me, and drive me out of my father’s house? Why have you come to me now when you are in distress?”

基列的長老回答耶弗他說：「現在我們到你這裏來，是要你同我們去，與亞捫人爭戰；你可以作基列一切居民的領袖。」

jī liè de zhǎng lǎo huí dá yē fú tā shuō ：「 xiàn zài wǒ men dào nǐ zhè lǐ lái ， shì yào nǐ tóng wǒ men qù ， yǔ yà mén rén zhēng zhàn ； nǐ kě yǐ zuò jī liè yí qiè jū mín de lǐng xiù 。」

The elders of Gilead said to Jephthah, “Therefore we have turned again to you now, that you may go with us and fight with the children of Ammon. You will be our head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.”

耶弗他對基列的長老說：「你們叫我回去，與亞捫人爭戰，耶和華把他交給我，我可以作你們的領袖嗎？」

yē fú tā duì jī liè de zhǎng lǎo shuō ：「 nǐ men jiào wǒ huí qù ， yǔ yà mén rén zhēng zhàn ， yē hé huá bǎ tā jiāo gěi wǒ ， wǒ kě yǐ zuò nǐ men de lǐng xiù ma ？」

Jephthah said to the elders of Gilead, “If you bring me home again to fight with the children of Ammon, and the LORD delivers them before me, will I be your head?”

基列的長老回答耶弗他說：「有耶和華在你我中間作見證，我們必定照你的話行。」

jī liè de zhǎng lǎo huí dá yē fú tā shuō ：「 yǒu yē hé huá zài nǐ wǒ zhōng jiàn zuò jiàn zhèng ， wǒ men bì dìng zhào nǐ de huà xíng 。」

The elders of Gilead said to Jephthah, “The LORD will be witness between us. Surely we will do what you say.”

於是耶弗他同基列的長老回去，百姓就立耶弗他作領袖、作元帥。耶弗他在米斯巴將自己的一切話陳明在耶和華面前。

yú shì yē fú tā tóng jī liè de zhǎng lǎo huí qù ， bǎi xìng jiù lì yē fú tā zuò lǐng xiù 、 zuò yuán shuài 。 yē fú tā zài mǐ sī bā jiāng zì jǐ de yí qiè huà chén míng zài yē hé huá miàn qián 。

Then Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead, and the people made him head and chief over them. Jephthah spoke all his words before the LORD in Mizpah.

耶弗他打發使者去見亞捫人的王，說：「你與我有甚麼相干，竟來到我國中攻打我呢？」

yē fú tā dǎ fā shǐ zhě qù jiàn yà mén rén de wáng ， shuō ：「 nǐ yǔ wǒ yǒu shén me xiāng gān ， jìng lái dào wǒ guó zhōng gōng dǎ wǒ ne ？」

Jephthah sent messengers to the king of the children of Ammon, saying, “What do you have to do with me, that you have come to me to fight against my land?”

亞捫人的王回答耶弗他的使者說：「因為以色列人從埃及上來的時候佔據我的地，從亞嫩河到雅博河，直到約旦河。現在你要好好地將這地歸還吧！」

yà mén rén de wáng huí dá yē fú tā de shǐ zhě shuō ：「 yīn wèi yǐ sè liè rén cóng āi jí shàng lái de shí hòu zhàn jù wǒ de dì ， cóng yà nèn hé dào yǎ bó hé ， zhí dào yuē dàn hé 。 xiàn zài nǐ yào hǎo hǎo dì jiāng zhè dì guī huán ba ！」

The king of the children of Ammon answered the messengers of Jephthah, “Because Israel took away my land when he came up out of Egypt, from the Arnon even to the Jabbok, and to the Jordan. Now therefore restore that territory again peaceably.”

耶弗他又打發使者去見亞捫人的王，

yē fú tā yòu dǎ fā shǐ zhě qù jiàn yà mén rén de wáng ，

Jephthah sent messengers again to the king of the children of Ammon;

對他說：「耶弗他如此說，以色列人並沒有佔據摩押地和亞捫人的地。

duì tā shuō ：「 yē fú tā rú cǐ shuō ， yǐ sè liè rén bìng méi yǒu zhàn jù mó yā dì hé yà mén rén de dì 。

and he said to him, “Jephthah says: Israel didn’t take away the land of Moab, nor the land of the children of Ammon;

以色列人從埃及上來乃是經過曠野到紅海，來到加低斯，

yǐ sè liè rén cóng āi jí shàng lái nǎi shì jīng guò kuàng yě dào hóng hǎi ， lái dào jiā dī sī ，

but when they came up from Egypt, and Israel went through the wilderness to the Red Sea, and came to Kadesh,

就打發使者去見以東王，說：『求你容我從你的地經過。』以東王卻不應允。又照樣打發使者去見摩押王，他也不允准。以色列人就住在加低斯。

jiù dǎ fā shǐ zhě qù jiàn yǐ dōng wáng ， shuō ：『 qiú nǐ róng wǒ cóng nǐ de dì jīng guò 。』 yǐ dōng wáng què bú yīng yǔn 。 yòu zhào yàng dǎ fā shǐ zhě qù jiàn mó yā wáng ， tā yě bù yǔn zhǔn 。 yǐ sè liè rén jiù zhù zài jiā dī sī 。

then Israel sent messengers to the king of Edom, saying, ‘Please let me pass through your land;’ but the king of Edom didn’t listen. In the same way, he sent to the king of Moab, but he refused; so Israel stayed in Kadesh.

他們又經過曠野，繞着以東和摩押地，從摩押地的東邊過來，在亞嫩河邊安營，並沒有入摩押的境內，因為亞嫩河是摩押的邊界。

tā men yòu jīng guò kuàng yě ， rào zhe yǐ dōng hé mó yā dì ， cóng mó yā dì de dōng biān guò lái ， zài yà nèn hé biān ān yíng ， bìng méi yǒu rù mó yā de jìng nèi ， yīn wèi yà nèn hé shì mó yā de biān jiè 。

Then they went through the wilderness, and went around the land of Edom, and the land of Moab, and came by the east side of the land of Moab, and they encamped on the other side of the Arnon; but they didn’t come within the border of Moab, for the Arnon was the border of Moab.

以色列人打發使者去見亞摩利王西宏，就是希實本的王，對他說：『求你容我們從你的地經過，往我們自己的地方去。』

yǐ sè liè rén dǎ fā shǐ zhě qù jiàn yà mó lì wáng xī hóng ， jiù shì xī shí běn de wáng ， duì tā shuō ：『 qiú nǐ róng wǒ men cóng nǐ de dì jīng guò ， wǎng wǒ men zì jǐ de dì fāng qù 。』

Israel sent messengers to Sihon king of the Amorites, the king of Heshbon; and Israel said to him, ‘Please let us pass through your land to my place.’

西宏卻不信服以色列人，不容他們經過他的境界，乃招聚他的眾民在雅雜安營，與以色列人爭戰。

xī hóng què bú xìn fú yǐ sè liè rén ， bù róng tā men jīng guò tā de jìng jiè ， nǎi zhāo jù tā de zhòng mín zài yǎ zá ān yíng ， yǔ yǐ sè liè rén zhēng zhàn 。

But Sihon didn’t trust Israel to pass through his border; but Sihon gathered all his people together, and encamped in Jahaz, and fought against Israel.

耶和華－以色列的上帝將西宏和他的眾民都交在以色列人手中，以色列人就擊殺他們，得了亞摩利人的全地：

yē hé huá — yǐ sè liè de shén jiāng xī hóng hé tā de zhòng mín dōu jiāo zài yǐ sè liè rén shǒu zhōng ， yǐ sè liè rén jiù jī shā tā men ， dé le yà mó lì rén de quán dì ：

The LORD, the God of Israel, delivered Sihon and all his people into the hand of Israel, and they struck them. So Israel possessed all the land of the Amorites, the inhabitants of that country.

從亞嫩河到雅博河，從曠野直到約旦河。

cóng yà nèn hé dào yǎ bó hé ， cóng kuàng yě zhí dào yuē dàn hé 。

They possessed all the border of the Amorites, from the Arnon even to the Jabbok, and from the wilderness even to the Jordan.

耶和華－以色列的上帝在他百姓以色列面前趕出亞摩利人，你竟要得他們的地嗎？

yē hé huá — yǐ sè liè de shén zài tā bǎi xìng yǐ sè liè miàn qián gǎn chū yà mó lì rén ， nǐ jìng yào dé tā men de dì ma ？

So now the LORD, the God of Israel, has dispossessed the Amorites from before his people Israel, and should you possess them?

你的神基抹所賜你的地你不是得為業嗎？耶和華－我們的上帝在我們面前所趕出的人，我們就得他的地。

nǐ de shén jī mǒ suǒ cì nǐ de dì nǐ bú shì dé wèi yè ma ？ yē hé huá — wǒ men de shén zài wǒ men miàn qián suǒ gǎn chū de rén ， wǒ men jiù dé tā de dì 。

Won’t you possess that which Chemosh your god gives you to possess? So whoever the LORD our God has dispossessed from before us, them will we possess.

難道你比摩押王西撥的兒子巴勒還強嗎？他曾與以色列人爭競，或是與他們爭戰嗎？

nán dào nǐ bǐ mó yā wáng xī bō de ér zi bā lè hái qiáng ma ？ tā céng yǔ yǐ sè liè rén zhēng jìng ， huò shì yǔ tā men zhēng zhàn ma ？

Now are you anything better than Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab? Did he ever strive against Israel, or did he ever fight against them?

以色列人住希實本和屬希實本的鄉村，亞羅珥和屬亞羅珥的鄉村，並沿亞嫩河的一切城邑，已經有三百年了；在這三百年之內，你們為甚麼沒有取回這些地方呢？

yǐ sè liè rén zhù xī shí běn hé shǔ xī shí běn de xiāng cūn ， yà luó ěr hé shǔ yà luó ěr de xiāng cūn ， bìng yán yà nèn hé de yí qiè chéng yì ， yǐ jīng yǒu sān bǎi nián le ； zài zhè sān bǎi nián zhī nèi ， nǐ men wèi shén me méi yǒu qǔ huí zhè xiē dì fāng ne ？

Israel lived in Heshbon and its towns, and in Aroer and its towns, and in all the cities that are along the side of the Arnon for three hundred years! Why didn’t you recover them within that time?

原來我沒有得罪你，你卻攻打我，惡待我。願審判人的耶和華今日在以色列人和亞捫人中間判斷是非。」

yuán lái wǒ méi yǒu dé zuì nǐ ， nǐ què gōng dǎ wǒ ， è dài wǒ 。 yuàn shěn pàn rén de yē hé huá jīn rì zài yǐ sè liè rén hé yà mén rén zhōng jiān pàn duàn shì fēi 。」

Therefore I have not sinned against you, but you do me wrong to war against me. May the LORD the Judge be judge today between the children of Israel and the children of Ammon.”

但亞捫人的王不肯聽耶弗他打發人說的話。

dàn yà mén rén de wáng bù kěn tīng yē fú tā dǎ fā rén shuō de huà 。

However, the king of the children of Ammon didn’t listen to the words of Jephthah which he sent him.

耶和華的靈降在耶弗他身上，他就經過基列和瑪拿西，來到基列的米斯巴，又從米斯巴來到亞捫人那裏。

yē hé huá de líng jiàng zài yē fú tā shēn shàng ， tā jiù jīng guò jī liè hé mǎ ná xī ， lái dào jī liè de mǐ sī bā ， yòu cóng mǐ sī bā lái dào yà mén rén nà lǐ 。

Then the LORD’s Spirit came on Jephthah, and he passed over Gilead and Manasseh, and passed over Mizpah of Gilead, and from Mizpah of Gilead he passed over to the children of Ammon.

耶弗他就向耶和華許願，說：「你若將亞捫人交在我手中，

yē fú tā jiù xiàng yē hé huá xǔ yuàn ， shuō ：「 nǐ ruò jiāng yà mén rén jiāo zài wǒ shǒu zhōng ，

Jephthah vowed a vow to the LORD, and said, “If you will indeed deliver the children of Ammon into my hand,

我從亞捫人那裏平平安安回來的時候，無論甚麼人，先從我家門出來迎接我，就必歸你，我也必將他獻上為燔祭。」

wǒ cóng yà mén rén nà lǐ píng píng ān ān huí lái de shí hòu ， wú lùn shén me rén ， xiān cóng wǒ jiā mén chū lái yíng jiē wǒ ， jiù bì guī nǐ ， wǒ yě bì jiāng tā xiàn shàng wèi fán jì 。」

then it shall be, that whatever comes out of the doors of my house to meet me when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, it shall be the LORD’s, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering.”

於是耶弗他往亞捫人那裏去，與他們爭戰；耶和華將他們交在他手中，

yú shì yē fú tā wǎng yà mén rén nà lǐ qù ， yǔ tā men zhēng zhàn ； yē hé huá jiāng tā men jiāo zài tā shǒu zhōng ，

So Jephthah passed over to the children of Ammon to fight against them; and the LORD delivered them into his hand.

他就大大殺敗他們，從亞羅珥到米匿，直到亞備勒‧基拉明，攻取了二十座城。這樣亞捫人就被以色列人制伏了。

tā jiù dà dà shā bài tā men ， cóng yà luó ěr dào mǐ nì ， zhí dào yà bèi lè · jī lā míng ， gōng qǔ le èr shí zuò chéng 。 zhè yàng yà mén rén jiù bèi yǐ sè liè rén zhì fú le 。

He struck them from Aroer until you come to Minnith, even twenty cities, and to Abelcheramim, with a very great slaughter. So the children of Ammon were subdued before the children of Israel.

耶弗他回米斯巴到了自己的家，不料，他女兒拿着鼓跳舞出來迎接他，是他獨生的，此外無兒無女。

yē fú tā huí mǐ sī bā dào le zì jǐ de jiā ， bú liào ， tā nǚ ér ná zhe gǔ tiào wǔ chū lái yíng jiē tā ， shì tā dú shēng de ， cǐ wài wú ér wú nǚ 。

Jephthah came to Mizpah to his house; and behold, his daughter came out to meet him with tambourines and with dances. She was his only child. Besides her he had neither son nor daughter.

耶弗他看見她，就撕裂衣服，說：「哀哉！我的女兒啊，你使我甚是愁苦，叫我作難了；因為我已經向耶和華開口許願，不能挽回。」

yē fú tā kàn jiàn tā ， jiù sī liè yī fú ， shuō ：「 āi zāi ！ wǒ de nǚ ér a ， nǐ shǐ wǒ shèn shì chóu kǔ ， jiào wǒ zuò nán le ； yīn wèi wǒ yǐ jīng xiàng yē hé huá kāi kǒu xǔ yuàn ， bù néng wǎn huí 。」

When he saw her, he tore his clothes, and said, “Alas, my daughter! You have brought me very low, and you are one of those who trouble me; for I have opened my mouth to the LORD, and I can’t go back.”

他女兒回答說：「父啊，你既向耶和華開口，就當照你口中所說的向我行，因耶和華已經在仇敵亞捫人身上為你報仇」；

tā nǚ ér huí dá shuō ：「 fù a ， nǐ jì xiàng yē hé huá kāi kǒu ， jiù dāng zhào nǐ kǒu zhōng suǒ shuō de xiàng wǒ xíng ， yīn yē hé huá yǐ jīng zài chóu dí yà mén rén shēn shàng wèi nǐ bào chóu 」；

She said to him, “My father, you have opened your mouth to the LORD; do to me according to that which has proceeded out of your mouth, because the LORD has taken vengeance for you on your enemies, even on the children of Ammon.”

又對父親說：「有一件事求你允准：容我去兩個月，與同伴在山上，好哀哭我終為處女。」

yòu duì fù qīn shuō ：「 yǒu yí jiàn shì qiú nǐ yǔn zhǔn ： róng wǒ qù liǎng gè yuè ， yǔ tóng bàn zài shān shàng ， hǎo āi kū wǒ zhōng wèi chǔ nǚ 。」

Then she said to her father, “Let this thing be done for me. Leave me alone two months, that I may depart and go down on the mountains, and bewail my virginity, I and my companions.”

耶弗他說：「你去吧！」就容她去兩個月。她便和同伴去了，在山上為她終為處女哀哭。

yē fú tā shuō ：「 nǐ qù ba ！」 jiù róng tā qù liǎng gè yuè 。 tā biàn hé tóng bàn qù le ， zài shān shàng wèi tā zhōng wèi chǔ nǚ āi kū 。

He said, “Go.” He sent her away for two months; and she departed, she and her companions, and mourned her virginity on the mountains.

兩月已滿，她回到父親那裏，父親就照所許的願向她行了。女兒終身沒有親近男子。

liǎng yuè yǐ mǎn ， tā huí dào fù qīn nà lǐ ， fù qīn jiù zhào suǒ xǔ de yuàn xiàng tā xíng le 。 nǚ ér zhōng shēn méi yǒu qīn jìn nán zǐ 。

At the end of two months, she returned to her father, who did with her according to his vow which he had vowed. She was a virgin. It became a custom in Israel

此後以色列中有個規矩，每年以色列的女子去為基列人耶弗他的女兒哀哭四天。

cǐ hòu yǐ sè liè zhōng yǒu gè guī jǔ ， měi nián yǐ sè liè de nǚ zǐ qù wèi jī liè rén yē fú tā de nǚ ér āi kū sì tiān 。

that the daughters of Israel went yearly to celebrate the daughter of Jephthah the Gileadite four days in a year.
